Yk how Jest’s brilliant plan of getting Catherine to Chess and making her Queen so she can lead the war and win? How after the war is won they can live happily ever after? Yeah, no, they would still be doomed :)

Assuming that the theory of resetting, where once the war is won the “board game” would reset and they would begin anew. So, the war would ALWAYS be going on. It would never stop, it’d end and then the board resets and the White and Red Kingdom are fighting again.

Meaning Jest and Cath would be in the center of all that, and I refuse to believe that they would remain there and be happy. It just feels like something unreal to expect of them. Cath still wouldn’t be able to open her bakery and Jest would still be fighting.

Their story was always going to end sadly.
