Dropping the latest Patreon Sketch-a-Wish, voted on by my lovely Patreon members for November! One of the peak scenes from Winter of The Lunar Chronicles Series by Marissa Meyer, featuring Cress and Thorne! Cress was my favorite character of the series, simply because of the harrowing nature of her story-line. (her satellite??) Given that each of the four main leads are retellings of classic fairytales, I think Cress and Thorne had the most clever adaptation. After doing a second couple illustration from the series, I'm getting the urge to complete the set. Especially, Scarlett + Wolf, who have one of the most satisfying reunion scenes I've read thus far. Meet the Artist: @septembersart

Hi guys! My name is Jenna, and I’m a South African artist based in the US. I’ve just stumbled out of a fancy traditional art university earlier this year, and am learning how to make art for myself again. For me, that takes the form of turning my favorite book series into a (fake) video game, and filling every inch of my sketchbook with post-it notes, stickers, and tracing paper. I’m very into vintage print, dynamic characters, and retro tech, all of which can be found in Space Soda, the webcomic I’m planning on releasing this year! I’ve been on tumblr for about 7 years, and I love the community I’ve found here. I’m very grateful for everyone who’s supported me on my art journey, especially those who gave a few likes to those wonky photos of my sketchbook so long ago.

Probably one of the most iconic moments for Cinder, and not just because of the subverted Cinderella imagery. She, the emperor’s personal guest, has just crashed headlong into a manicured tree in the (populated) Imperial courtyard, full speed, in a vehicle (definitely not street legal) that hasn’t been seen in well over a century. And when a palace worker helps her out of the wreckage she’s like, “he’s judging me for the dirty dress :/“ Like bestie I promise that is the least of his problems right now
