Brooooo. So who remembers that Frankie girl from map of days and how f~cking weird she was. She would like bring people to like her loop and she would find the people she likes and turn them into her dolls!? And the person she chooses was Enoch, like poor Enoch my guy didn’t deserve that. Like she was actually like feeling up his face like what the h3ll! And then when like woke up out of her spell he was in doll clothes, how did he get in too the doll clothes like that’s my question!! How did he get into the doll clothes because when I last remember he came in, his monster tennis shoes and his fire skull pj pants and the normal people scare me shirt not doll clothes!!! Okay, I know I said that I didn't like the second trilogy of MPHFPC, but I don't want to only focus on the negatives, so here are some things I enjoyed about it:

The Peculiar Children interacting with the modern world.

Getting to see more of their personalities.

Getting to see more of the Peculiar World.

More Ymbrynes!

Millard and Lilly (I'd read a whole book about them, I'm not even kidding. I wish we'd gotten to see so much more of them- I don't reread the second trilogy, but I do reread their scene together).

Thats all I can think of for now. But for anyone who thought I'd hate them for having a differing opinion, I promise I won't. I didn't care for the second trilogy, but I can still find good parts of it. And if you did enjoy it, that's wonderful! Even if you prefer it, that's still wonderful! I only asked my question because I was curious, not to spread any sort of hate in our already small fandom.

ik this post was from almost a year ago, but still i think of this a lot whenever i re-read MoD. I feel like this isn’t spoken about all that often, but the loop kids really don’t have a solid understanding of consequences anymore. Living in a loop for so many years where if you messed up or did something wrong it would simply fix itself by morning took a toll on them. Remember that Miss P had to legitimately remind them that they couldn’t KILL people. This doesn’t excuse the fact that they literally dr*gged her but it does certainly explain it. I kind of wish this was something that was explored more in the books. The concept of just how detached from reality they are after having lived in a loop for so long and now having to face the present again. Where the things you say and do have real, long lasting consequences. It really is interesting to think about

I'm just dropping in with the gentle reminder that the kids literally DR*GGED Miss Peregrine so they could run away in a Map of Days....🤨 And no the argument that it was only Millard doesn't count, because none of the other kids cared. They all just went along with it

I've seen a few posts of people from varying us states saying "why is no one talking about x new anti LGBTQ+ bill/law in my state?" and I need you guys to know that unfortunately part of the reason you're not hearing much about your specific state is that it's not just your state. there are currently 321 anti LGBTQ+ bills in the us

you'll notice that several of these states have more than 10. Missouri and Oklahoma have 31 and 34 respectively. and some of these have already passed or are well on their way. living here has become exponentially more terrifying. and even people in states with 0 bills should be worried because they are absolutely not going to stop at state level legislation, the next step is federal law. it's really time for everyone in the us to be vigilant right now. connect with people in your community and start or get involved in movements for change, starting on a very small local level. I know it gets really discouraging looking at maps like this. you're probably not going to be able to help everyone in every state, but you might be able to make a big difference with your local community
