Been thinking about Jigmalta again. . . . been thinking about what Jigen does AFTER gravestone
The idea of Jigen not being completely satisfied with a “job well done” after taking out Yael and the East Doroa government.
Once he finds out/realized her manager was in on it it was one last loose end to tie up
The idea of Jigen tracking down Malta’s manager when he learns he too had a hand in her death which is why he had kicked him out of the concert
Jigen was never one for revenge, it drives men mad. But of course Jigen is already mad about all this. He took care of Yael, and the real cause and culprit of Malta's death, being her own country, was finally brought to the public
but that doesn't mean he's done yet.
Not quiet yet anyways
probably corners the guy in his swaggy hotel
Many people in Malta’s circle of acquaintances were also accused of potentially selling her out to the government with many remaining under scrutiny even long after the fact,
maybe it doesn't surprise him when the manager squeals so easily like the spineless fool he was
maybe he pisses Jigen off stating the bitch got what was coming to her anyways. thinking she could possibly promote peace between two countries that have been fighting for so long already.
Or About how she was willing to throw away her career for such a miserable cause about how he made her the star she was and without him she'd still be singing in slums in that wartorn hellhole she came from
Maybe the last comment pisses Jigen off so badly that he actually contemplates killing the bastard then and there
but he cant yet. he cant do that just yet
instead he forces the man to write down everything, absolutely everything he had to do with her death
when he's finally finished. . .well
no one knows what happened afterward.
Her manager is later found dead in what appeared to be an apparent suicide. In a letter left behind, he implicates his hand in Malta’s death and was believed by official's to have killed himself either in guilt or as a way to not risk jail time.
But we all know what happened, we all know the only man trained so excellent that he could easily have made it look like a suicide
in the end does it matter
it's over now Maybe before he leaves, Jigen notices the radio is on
Their still playing Malta's songs on the radio as a memorial to her and for a moment a flash of anger rolls over him at the mere thought that even after having her killed the bastard still had the gall to listen to her songs as if he didn't help in her assassination.
But then once he listens. . .everything is suddenly calm and serene and for a moment Jigen is happy once again.
Maybe he takes a moment to listen, to reminisce. Maybe when it's time for him to go he raises his hand to turn the radio off before he leaves. Maybe he stops himself before he can. Maybe instead before he leaves he looks at the radio one last time with that old familiar soft sad look in his eye's as he adjusts his hat on his head.
"It's over now songbird, so you just keep on singing. . .there's no one left to stop you"

Honestly I’m thought last summer was bad for her with how dm and entity came her and pretty much the silence that followed after the last pap walk last summer but this summer 😬 she set herself up tbh here announcing on ig “here I come!!” With the picture of the movie you would have at least thought she was in it not supporting her supposed boyfriend and looking at pictures and videos before and then during and after Cannes wasn’t at all what she expected and it honestly doesn’t seem like she got what she wanted you quickly see her go from smiling to very tense through out. She deflated very quickly and in the after party photo of her it looks like she may have been crying before she tried to match with him but she wore a dress that you could tell was picked last minute because it should have been tailored to her height and her body type but she looked very lumpy and she practically tripping over her dress (the video of him basically dragging her through the hotel lobby 😬 he looked tense and very pissed) she looked very out of her element and it makes me remember what she said in Malta she never feels welcome at film festivals and you could tell honestly no one cared that she was there at Cannes she was an afterthought and I think that kind of describes what this is with seb she’s an afterthought to him a job. This feels way more for her and to get her name out there and every opportunity has failed because she’s honestly not interesting she’s a mediocre actress at best that’s the best compliment that she will get she’s not really that pretty she’s just blonde skinny with blue eyes which there’s so many woman just like that who are interesting talented and that just puts Annabelle at the back trying to grasp any attention she can get but she can’t hold it on her own
Maybe not crying but definitely glossy eyed...

On 26th November 1917 Elsie Inglis, the Scottish nursing pioneer and suffragette, died.
There are very few people who were neither born or died in Scotland that are as highly regarded and respected as Scots, than Elsie Inglis, the only other that springs to mind is Eric Liddell.
Elsie parents were Scots Harriet Lowes Thompson and John Inglis, who worked for the East India Company, when her father retired from his job in 1878 the Inglis family returned to Scotland and settled in Edinburgh.
Having studied medicine at the Edinburgh School of Medicine for Women Inglis subsequently established her own medical college. She qualified as a doctor and secured a teaching appointment at the New Hospital for Women. A keen suffragette Inglis was later to found her own maternity hospital entirely staffed by women.
In 1906 Inglis played a notable role in the establishment of the Scottish Women’s Suffrage Federation. The outbreak of war in Europe in August 1914 brought about a temporary ceasefire where political - including suffragette - issues were concerned, and Inglis promptly suggested the creation of women’s medical units on the Western Front.
The British government reacted to Inglis’s idea was frowned upon, she was told “‘my good lady, go home and sit still’. . Nevertheless a similar offer made directly to the French government was warmly received and Inglis travelled to France within three months of the outbreak of war, with the Abbaye de Royaumont hospital, containing some 200 beds, in place by December 1914. This was later followed by a second hospital at Villers Cotterets in 1917.
Inglis was active in arranging for the despatch of women’s units to other fighting areas aside from the Western Front, the first Scottish Women’s Hospital field unit was formed in December 1914 in a town called Kragujevac in Serbia.others followed at Salonika, Romania, Malta and Corsica in 1915 and to Russia the following year.
Inglis herself served in Serbia from 1915 until the Serbian government and army withdrew to Corfu ,she had been held prisoner for a period until U.S. diplomatic pressure brought about her release. Thereafter based in Russia she was taken ill, the government demanded she come home but Elsie refused until the Serbian soldiers were guaranteed safe passage. The boat brought them back to Newcastle and Elsie, who was crippled with illness, could hardly walk as she greeted Serbian soldiers on deck. She was so frail she had to be carried off to a nearby hotel where she died on 26th November 1917.
Elsie’s body was taken “home” to Edinburgh where it was interned in Dean Cemetery, beforehand it lay in state in St Giles’ Cathedral. Her funeral there on 29th November was attended by both British and Serbian royalty.
The SWH continued its work for the duration of the war, sending out more units and raising money for the work. Remaining funds were used to establish the Elsie Inglis Memorial Maternity Hospital in Edinburgh in July 1925, it closed in 1988.
There is a Memorial Drinking Fountain “Crkvenac” in Mladenovac, Serbia commemorating her work for the country. A plaque commemorates her at 8 Walker Street, Edinburgh. A portrait of her is included in the mural of heroic women by Walter P. Starmer at St Jude’s Church, Hampstead Garden, London. In 1922 a large tablet to her memory (sculpted by Pilkington Jackson) was erected in the north aisle of St Giles on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile.
A movie is set to be made of her biography, penned by her sister, Eva called The Woman With the Torch, no date yet about a release, work is ongoing as far as I can see,
Edinburgh is set to have a statue erected to Elsie, it will be the first woman to be commemorated with a statue on the Royal Mile at the site of her hospice on the High Street, which is between the Bridges and The Netherbow. Unfortunately controversy has meant it has been put on hold after a bitter row about the choice of sculptor.
Anger erupted after the trustees suspended their open call for designs and instead commissioned Stoddart, the King’s sculptor in ordinary in Scotland.
In late September, they tweeted: “The call to artists has been suspended indefinitely owing to considerations that have been brought to the attention of the trustees in recent weeks. This information has therefore rendered the brief as published suboptimal to ensure the successful outcome of the project at design scheduling and budgetary levels.”
The furore has brought fresh attention to the absence of female statuary in Edinburgh, which has dozens of monuments to male soldiers, kings, intellectuals and physicians. Those include one of Stoddart’s best-known works, a large bronze of the philosopher David Hume outside the high court near St Giles’.
Part of the problem is that some say the statue should be made by a woman, and I agree, why should a woman not get to make a a statue about a woman who did a lot for their rights. Edinburgh should be making a stand on this.

2022 in a nutshell
Damn. From telling what happened in 2018 in a nutshell to now summarizing 2022. I can’t believe it was that quick.
The year 2022 has been a year full of self-discovery, overthinking, exploring, new experiences and getting by. January 2022 when I first land my feet here in Malta. We were directly quarantined in a hotel for 14 days. After the 14th day, we found out that me and Bianca both have COVID-19. We got it in the freaking hotel where we were supposed to be quarantined. Fuck it, right? I never had COVID back in the Philippines and here in Europe is where I will get them first. What. Are. The. Freaking. Odds. Anyway, thankfully, I was discharged from the hotel and was able to do another 14 days quarantine in our flat. I started working in my current job now since February 15, right after I found out my results for COVID were already negative.
The first months of working, I feel like I forgot how to work already haha. It has been almost 2 months since I last worked in my previous job. My mind was put into rest for a long time and I was able to finish reading 2 books and edited 1 video the whole time I was in quarantine. Nonetheless, I was able to adjust from work and working with different cultures from my officemates. They were a very diverse set of people from Columbians, Maltese, Serbian, Chinese and Argentinian. It was nice learning things from them I did not know and also sharing my culture to them.
2022 was also the year I dated a lot. I can’t remember how many times I went on a date with different guys. It was a new experience. I was also able to learn some of their culture. I had my first kiss, first sex, first intimate moments. It was fun and frustrating sometimes. Lol. I was able to somehow know what I want, what I like, what irritates me and the traits that are just non-negotiable to me.
It was end of March 2022 when we went to Netherlands! The country was so beautiful and so sophisticated. The weather was not so nice though. It was snowy, windy and raining in all 5 days that we were there. Nonetheless, we were able to go to different cities. I can’t remember every name of it though (I have to google again when I post the pictures lol). But it was a super fun experience. Totally one for the books.
May 2022 - Ate Ja’s birthday when we went to Sicily, Italy. Sicily has to be the country where I tasted some of the best foods. It was summer time back then and we tried diving. It was a fun experience as well although I can’t see much under the sea because of my poor eyesight. We also went to Mount Etna through a 4x4. Sicily has a very rich history in it.
August 2022 - the peak of summer here in Malta. We went to Comino for some summer swimming and went to a concert to see Anne-Marie, Jason Derulo and Bastille. It was a great experience too. It was also the time when Bianca had to leave for a new company. I was afraid with her leaving me alone in the office. But then as time went by, I got used to it as well. I am happy for her. We all deserve a higher salary after all. I believe my time will come. I feel like I need to learn a bit more from this company before I leave.
October of this year when my sister got married. I finally came from to Philippines for this event and spent almost 3 weeks there. Maybe I will write a separate post for the wedding here (and hopefully not be lazy to add some photos). I can’t imagine my older sister is already married. She will make a great wife and mom for sure. I was finally able to see my friends and family again after 9 months. I was so happy and excited. It was fun times as always.
What else can I remember? I think I have shared bits of what happened on December from my previous posts. So, I guess, that’s it.
I hope I can posts more here starting 2023. :)

The music really is extremely nice. I keep listening to it. This is the staging I watched initially, and I am partial towards it because it's from Teatro Manoel in Valletta, where I also went when I was in Malta.
I really have to say once again though how confusing these modern stagings can be if you aren't familiar with an opera. Adina and Nemorino seem to be co-workers at a hotel here when in the original she's a wealthy landowner and he's an illiterate farmer's boy. She's a higher ranking employee, but the contrast still isn't as big as in the original. The class dynamics are mostly lost in this version and it makes it really confusing that he seems to think she's "too good for him" or why she seems so much more worldly than him. Also Belcore is a waiter even though it's very clear from his dialogue that he's a soldier, and not even a foot soldier but a sergeant. He has a full-time job already, and one that puts him above Nemorino socially.
But the music is just so nice...
Today I watched L'elisir d'amore and learned that the real love potion is money and emotional manipulation. Got it.
#Youtube#i think they took some inspiration from carmen working in the cigarette factory tbh#but a working class girl being sexually 'loose' just has completely different connotations#than an independently wealthy woman doing the same

JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION Exclusive Interview With Actress Dichen Lachman ("Soyona Santos")
As Jurassic World: Dominion - Extended Edition takes the top spot on the home video charts, we were able to sit down with actress Dichen Lachman to talk about her villainous role as Soyona Santos!
With Jurassic World: Dominion - Extended Edition now available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and Digital HD, we were recently granted an exclusive opportunity to sit down with actress Dichen Lachman to talk about her villainous role as Soyona Santos.
Santos proves to be one of the more memorable villains of the picture as she unleashes a pack of Atrociraptors on our heroes, setting off a wild chase sequence through the streets of Malta. While she is ultimately apprehended for her role in Maisie's abduction, we spoke to Lachman about possible different endings, crafting an elaborate backstory, meeting the legacy cast for the first time, and a whole lot more!
ROHAN: Your character Soyona Santos is pretty mysterious throughout and we don't really learn too much about her in the film. Did you develop any sort of backstory for her?
DICHEN: Oh, yeah, I went into a deep dive - I think her mother was a fossil smuggler from Mongolia, because there's a wealth of fossils there, and actually, the fighting dinosaurs, the two velociraptors, I think were discovered in Mongolia or Siberia, in that region, and then, her dad came to great wealth during the aluminum wars in Siberia, and I was making basically another movie in my head about where she came from.
So, that was super fun, and, of course, it had no relevance, really, to the film, but I mentioned to Colin, sort of this world that she came from, and he was like, “Well, maybe we could give her a Siberian name, or a Mongolian name?,” so I came up with a list, and he actually really responded to some of them, but the one he loved, we couldn't clear, so it ended up being Soyona, and, yeah, it was just so much fun. I mean, he's just so collaborative, and so willing to hear your ideas, and how you feel about your character and gives you a lot of ownership over that.
I came up with this idea for the remote, because they didn’t have a remote control for her, like a TV remote type thing. I designed the bracelet. Well, I designed sort of the basics of it, and I said, what if I did all these drawings before I met him in my hotel room, and I gave them to him, I was like, “What if it's a bracelet and it like slides out because she doesn't have a purse, and she has to do all this action stuff, and she also has a phone and I don't want things just like kind of appearing - what do you think?” And, he was like, “Let me think about it.,” and he talked to Joanna, the costume designer, and the props master and they basically used my rudimentary drawings as the foundation for the bracelet. So, that was really cool.
ROHAN: I know that because of COVID, much of that whole Malta excursion with the cast was not actually shot on location in Malta. What was your experience shooting during the pandemic?
DICHEN: Yeah, they built a lot of it at Pinewood, and the whole team did such an extraordinary job, an A++ team of people, craftsmen, and, in terms of the logistics of it all, it was a really terrible time that the world was going through. The silver lining of the experience though, and obviously, that was the only way we could proceed making the movie was that - I obviously didn't have scenes with a lot of people in the film, but because we were living together in this bubble, it became like an extended family, and it's extraordinary to have that many movie stars, and just like Silverback actors in one place, having breakfasts and dinners together, it was surreal, but also extraordinary that there was no friction.
Everyone just got along, you know, because I mean, you hear stories about how famous people can sort of sometimes behave in a way that isn't sort of the nicest all the time, but everyone was so lovely. There was not one person who ruined it for anyone else or whatever, it was just like a family and everyone got along and to go out on Saturday morning and seeing Colin and some of the cast playing frisbee and then other people just having like their brunch on the terrace and catching up about how the week went. Every day my mind was like blown, I was like, “How did I get so lucky to end up in this situation?”
ROHAN: After unleashing the atrociraptors, you have a big fight scene with Bryce Dallas Howard. What was it like to work with her and can you tell me more about prepping for that whole sequence?
DICHEN: Oh, she's so amazing. I mean, she just lights up any room that she walks into with just her joy and her love and kindness. Working with her was just so special, and, in terms of the training, we had one rehearsal together because obviously she was very very busy. I had like three separate sessions where I worked with the stunt team and our coordinator would stand-in for Bryce and walk me through the beat.
I've actually had a lot of experience with stunts, because I've played lots of character suited up in these situations, so it wasn't like a big learning curve for me, mostly it was just remembering the choreography and the beats, and sometimes the form of it, but I always feel really comfortable when I have to be physical in a role. I like doing that.
ROHAN: With Soyona Santos, Jiaying, Roulette, Reileen Kawahara; you're very good at playing these ruthless, morally ambiguous, emotionally scarred characters - and I'm just meeting you now, but you seem like a lovely person - but do those more villainous, gray-ish characters appeal to you more as a performer?
DICHEN: I mean, I do love playing those roles, because I always like finding the nuance in that. Bad guys don't think they're bad guys, villains don't believe or feel like they're the villain and getting into the psychology and the circumstances of them is always really fascinating to me. I think a lot of actors actually enjoy playing those those roles, as I do, and I'm very lucky that I guess, with my look, I can really lean into that, and I love exploring just the humanity of it because playing the protagonist is, I mean, it is complex, and it can be complex, but in the way that we tell stories, a lot of the time, it's usually less so, in just the format that sort of like everything in television and film, generally speaking, fits into, especially more mainstream, sort of, like, poppy stuff. I think it's always more fun to play the more complicated character, and I'm just so lucky that I get to do that.
ROHAN: Santos ultimately survives the events of the film, but this is a dinosaur movie - were there ever any discussions about a different, more toothy, ending for your character?
DICHEN: No, for sure, when I met Colin, in this very room, on Skype in this chair, in this exact same spot. He did say you don't get eaten by a dinosaur, so you never know, and I was like, well, that's good, I like that, and it never changed. I actually think - sorry, I painted my hallway today, and I just realized that I’m covered in house paint. - It wasn't a discussion, but I think there's definitely space for that whole Malta section of the movie, that world, and what happens in that world to be its own thing.
I don't know if you agree with me, but it kind of had a different color to the Jurassic, like the main storyline of the franchise. It could be its own world, the way that it was filmed, and just like the characters in the world there, I feel like that could be its own its own thing.
ROHAN: This film finally reunites Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum - I know you didn't get to share any scenes with them, but what was your experience meeting the legacy trio?
DICHEN: So, Daniella [Pineda] and I were in the hot tub. *laughs* I know, it wasn't a bad bubble to be in, and I had this moment, because I had just watched this thing about UFOs, and it was a very convincing, very credible person talking about them, and I'd never sort of gotten into that space before. Obviously, we're in a hotel room, we can't leave. I was going down rabbit holes all day long, and I was like, “What do you think about UFOs? What do you know about them? Because I just saw this thing and I mean, I can't rule it out now. I feel like there might be something.,” and she was like, “Oh my god!” So, we just had this incredible convo, she knows all about it apparently, and she was like, “You’ve got to watch this and you've got to watch this!,” and we were bonding over this and we came up in our robes and standing there in the lobby was Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern.
They were all standing there, Jeff had just arrived, Laura had gotten there the day before, but this was the first time they had all seen each other in, I don't know how long, and we were just blown away. It felt so surreal, and also, we were in robes, so not even properly dressed, cause it's basically our house now, this place, and we were just freaking out. I can't tell you how - what I'll say is if you could imagine being in the situation, yourself, that's how I felt. It felt like it wasn't happening, like it wasn't real, and I couldn’t believe it, you know? So, that was the first time I saw the legacy cast together, and I was wearing a robe. *laughs* Which is kind of embarrassing. It's not how I played it out of my head.
ROHAN: You're mainly working with the Atrociraptors, were there any other dinosaurs you were hoping to share the screen with?
DICHEN: I mean, I knew that it would basically be with the atrociraptors, and then those were mostly, because they're so big, they weren't animatronic, but they did come in to get lighting references with the heads of the dinosaurs. So, in that boat shadow or whatever it is, they were moving around with the heads on the sticks, in terms of where they would be going and getting lighting references for the VFX team.
So, I didn't get to really experience any animatronics stuff, but I did when I was walking through the market. They weren't filming in the market at that point, but I would see them sitting around and just, oh my god, like the workmanship that went into this. I mean, it should all be in a museum that's open for people to go and see.
ROHAN: I absolutely loved Severance, easily one of the best shows of the year. Are you allowed to say anything about season two or have you started production yet?
DICHEN: Yes, I cannot tease anything cause I think Ben Stiller would appear and cover my mouth. *laughs* No spoilers!
I will tell you that we are gearing up, and we hope to be on set in October sometime. I am so excited for all the actors, and for Ben and Dan, who are nominated for Emmys. It's so exciting. To just know that, at the end, the wonderful work is rewarded with this recognition. That show is extraordinary, I am so grateful that you've watched it, and that you love it.
For Dan, it's just been so surreal for him, and for me, again, it's like another Jurassic experience. It’s like, you get on set, and you're working with these people who you have admired for your whole life leading up into deciding to be an actor and you hope and you dream that you get to work with these people, like on Jurassic or Severance, and then all of a sudden, they're right there and you have to work with them. In a way you have to kind of desensitize the fan in you and you have to kind of shut that down and turn into a professional and sometimes that's kind of hard, especially with COVID on Severance, we weren't in a bubble, but everyone was - you didn't get to know anyone, everyone was distanced, and unless you were in a scene and the camera was rolling, everyone was very isolated from each other.
But yeah, it's like another one of those situations where you just can't believe that you're in it, and how fortunate you are to be in this position to watch these people work and to work with them is wonderful.
ROHAN: Since the show was streaming on Apple TV+, what was your initial reaction to the response the series was getting as it rolled out and started to get more eyeballs, especially after that "Oh shit!" cliffhanger finale?
DICHEN: I've actually been in London, back and forth, and in England, Apple TV hasn't sort of taken off, but I guess online, I saw people's reaction, and I was so happy. I was so happy that it paid off.
Ben, obviously, I’m going to say spoiler alert now, just in case there are people out there who haven't seen it. There is a cliffhanger moment on the show, which just, it made people really angry, and it made people really excited like, “How dare you end like that?!” I read the scripts for the whole show in the Jurassic bubble hotel. It's sort of like one thing led to the other and I just couldn't put them down. I knew what the ending was going to be when I met with Ben, but I hadn't read anything, and so it was one of the most fun, exciting TV show scripts I've ever read.
I'm so grateful that you love it, and I hope that more and more people because of all the nominations, see the show, because it's shot like a film. Someone asked me earlier, what's the difference between shooting a film and all the shows that you've done, and it's the time that they take, on a movie, you might shoot one or two pages a day, if you're lucky three, but in TV, usually, it's like seven, eight, nine pages, depending on the show, and everything's just like, boom, boom, boom, and it's kind of rushed.
But on Severance, even though it's television, Ben is so specific and so precise about his work that it was shot like a movie, we took so much time to just play and explore, and there was not one detail, that was not thought about, and when you talk to Dan, or to the production designer or to Ben, there is a reason why anything is in the frame, or anything is in the story. There's nothing that's arbitrary. Everything has a reason. So, it's been really exciting to work in a TV space where you can tell a story over a longer period of time, but it functions like a film in terms of the effort and the detail that you're able to put into it because of the people who are involved.
ROHAN: Following Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Supergirl, have you auditioned for any other superhero projects or would you be interested in returning to those comic book worlds?
DICHEN: I have not auditioned for any superhero stuff. There was something I auditioned for that was sort of in that space, but the dates didn't work out. I would absolutely love to be more in the comic book space. Maybe this sounds weird to say, but I think I really fit into that world, and I'm just waiting for the phone to ring and be like, “Hey, they want you to audition for this superhero in a DC or Marvel thing.”
I know I played characters in the TV, like universe, but I feel like I'm pretty easy to transform, and I could absolutely come back in either of those worlds as a completely different character, with help from hair and makeup. I love playing in that space. I'm a huge fan myself of the genre, and so for me, it's like, yes! If there are fans reading this article, write to the people who make the decisions on Twitter or whatever, and tell them. Let's mobilize!
Because I do, I love that space, and, it might not sound like I'm an artsy actor. I am, but I also just like having fun, and I love the fan world. I meet fans all the time. I have amazing conversations with them. Sometimes we're pen pals and we keep in touch with each other, I think we do it, well, I do it for the fans and because I'm a fan myself, not to say I don't like the artsy stuff, obviously I do, but I think that it's such a fun place to explore ideas about our society and question things and - but in a fun, adventurous way where you escape into another world.
ROHAN: Circling back to the beginning, what was your earliest memory of Jurassic Park and what does it mean to you be apart of the franchise's legacy moving forward?
DICHEN: I can't remember how old, but I was a kid, and my dad and my mom and my cousin went to the Hindley Street Theater in Adelaide, and I’d only been in Australia recently from Nepal. So, that was like another world. We went to the theater, which was something I'd never really done as a person before, period, and we went to see Jurassic Park, and my mind was blown, and my dad, none of us had ever seen anything like it, no one had, it was just so - the scale of it was just enormous, and it's not like now with kids, they're so used to seeing massive visual effects and stuff that it's almost normal for them.
But for me, it was completely new, and I was a huge fan, and then I got to experience it again when my daughter was like 18 months, she, by accident, saw some of the movie and just fell in love with it, and, watched it 100 times and watched all the other ones and would sing the theme song, in her bed at night before she passed out. I got to experience her love of the franchise.
It's been so extraordinary to actually now be a part of it, again, it's a surreal experience. I mean, to this day, I still don't quite even believe that it even happened. I have to remind myself when my daughter's got my little action figure or Lego figurine that I am now part of this. I mean, it's really historic, it's extraordinary. I mean, it's what three decades? With all these these movies, and people just absolutely, like I said, people of my generation, they remember who they saw it with. They remember which theatre, they remember how they felt afterwards, and there's something about all of the films that just bring that child-like excitement and fascination out.

Letter to my younger self
Dear Myself,
It's been a while since you've been on Tumblr. Years actually. I just want to make you know some things that happened in your life, 'cause after finding again your credential to tumblr and after reading some of our post of 5 years ago I felt the need to write this letter to you.
I cried reading those post. I felt pain, a new kind of pain.
I remember very well how it used to feel when depression and anxiety and selfharm were such a big part of our life. Yes, I used the past sense. Let me tell you some things that happened in last few years.
You kept on going to therapy but eventually on 2020 you stopped 'cause your salary got littler. What happened to the job at the hotel in the office? Well, they changed position for you from reservation clerk to receptionist on night shifts of 12 hours. Oh and all of that 'cause at the beginning of 2020 a pandemic started. Yeah, hard to believe...right?
In the mean time three important things happened: -your roomates left to go back to italy. -you moved in another house where another friend was living and you had a good time with him. -You adopted a cat, excluding out the idea to go back to therapy. But yes, you adopted a little cute black kitten and his name is Angel.
You changed house twice more before quitting your job and Malta and going back to Italy with that friend.
in 2021 you moved to Messina and you found a flat with your best friend and with Angel and also her cat. You started University again! You started studying for a postgraduate degree in journalism.
You found another job and it helped you financially (you started therapy again) for 10 months so you studied and worked for 10 months on your own. (After getting fired you had to give up on therapy one more time).
You got fired last march moved back to your hometown living with your toxic parents ( who gots worse somehow with all that disinformations on vaccines during Covid-19 and p.s they still don't know you are fully vaccineted lol).
Right now you're focusing all your energy on studying journalism.
I have to say that it's been tough. You're gonna still face toughs times. New depressive episodes, new panick attacks for all different reasons and yes, you will relapse on self harm too from time to time. You will lose friends, some forever, some you will find them back. You will lose to death a few others important people too during 2021 . You will try to see Green Day again but, for the first time ever, you will give up on them selling your ticket. 'cause of financial problems.
But... in all honesty, those money you spent on yourself in therapy both in Malta and Messina, were the best spent ever. That and deciding to adopt a kitty, which is now your main reason to live.
You will find new friends, you will learn from your mistakes, you will smile more, laugh more, enjoy life more and thinkin lesser and lesser about depression and ending your life. You will fall in love more with life day by day. So.. it DOES get better.
You're not healed. I think we can never be completaly healed when it's about a mental disorder but you know now how to copy with it better. It's still a struggle and it's hard and we're are a work in progress and that's okay. You will learn how to be kinder to yourself.
You will fall in love with new songs, new series and you will never stop writing and actually you will open an instagram account (@writishpenlife) where you're gonna share your new poems. Writing will always be the solutions for you and that's never gonna change.
Dear younger self, I'm so happy you didn't give up on your wrost moments and I was there, I know how tempted you were. I know how dark and scary was that place we were in and sometimes I'm so scared to go back in there but then I think that if we did it once, twice, we can do it a third time till forever and ever.
The future is still uncertain and I must confess, I still have no idea what our dream job will be and I confess that I'm going where my heart is taking us to. I'm taking life day by day and right now it is working. I want us to be happy. So, I don't know where our future self will be but I'm sure it will be somewhere happy. Maybe... to that place we will call home with our little kitten. (Which by the way...he's now two years old, can you believe that?? Time pass freaking fast).
Thank you once again for not giving up on life.
With love,
your future self.

Sjk saying that Vincenzo is a sad story and that the ending is not a happy one is in sync with his character.. he resigns himself as a villain not deserving love, only with the monk's words did he accept that he was allowed to love cha young. But still his life isn't one where he can hope for a ever after at the moment. Plus, they are parting for an uncertain period of time, both not knowing when they'll meet again. So them staring at each other with longing and sadness is so fitting. But our queen nodding slowly, definitely is a till-we-meet-again look. And as yeo binnie said in her interview, cha young will def go to malta. Thats so cha young too, her coming to his room after saying she'll be fine at the hotel; repeatedly asking him if he'll leave, if he can come back; running after him at the airport; her coming to see him for the last time after telling him not to call... Who are we kidding? She'll definitely go to Malta. It is sad in the sense that these soulmates aren't together all the time, the promise of them settling down is isn't anytime soon... Considering how much they love each other, this seperation is obviously painful. And they are badass at their jobs, not able to sacrifice that for the other... But i love that about them... They are so powerful as individuals, and their bond defies any distance... 1 soul in 2 bodies, villains tenacious in love. (But ofc she's the ceo of jipuragi, she can always take a vacation with her hubby) Its a happy ending. Sjk can call it sad, well, Vinny's losses in life are huge. He's lost so many ppl precious to him, has been betrayed so many times, his life is never peaceful, and his nights are ridden with nightmares. However, he found a fam in guemga plaza and a woman he shares a soul with... He learns to love and accept the villain in him. That's a happy ending to me... And I'm sure he will return to settle in korea, he sure wants to. Plus i don't think Mr.Ahn and Mr.Cho are simply searching for him.
