have you assigned any of your characters pokemon natures? if so, can we know what they are? i know dielle and rune were shown to have flavor preferences (? if those count?) in the one cafe scene, and dielle doesn't like wacan berries (which are sweet and sour) although that's likely just for the electric dampening effect; would their natures correspond with flavor preferences, or is that mechanic just not necessary for/a part of obt?
Anonymous asked: If you had to pick each OBT characters nature, which nature do you think they'll have? Like I'd personally think that the Guildmaster is either naive or jolly.
// ooo yeah I'd love to share the natures I have in mind for them! I don't think natures are 100% accurate to character's flavor preferences, but I'd consider something like this to have wiggle room for interpretation like horoscopes. Rune - Relaxed, strongly defiant Malachi - Lonely, thoroughly cunning Dielle - Docile, loves to eat Inigo - Bold. hates to lose Maelstrom - Quirky, proud of its power Eilwyn - Lax, scatters things often Yohann - Sassy, somewhat vain Guildmaster - Jolly, impetuous and silly Keaton - Serious, quick tempered Julius - Hardy, likes to thrash about Requiem - Relaxed, often lost in thought

Without a Fight Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Title: Without a Fight Chapter 1
Summary: Nick Jackson is possibly the only person in AEW without superpowers. And it used to not bug him, but in the past month, it's been weighing on his shoulders. Until the night the storm hit. Then his world changed forever.
Warnings: Language, brainwashing, kidnapping, violence, maybe more as I work on it.
A/N: Let me know what you guys think please! I haven't wrote in such a long time.
Nick watched as Kenny ran around the ring. He wanted to show how his gear changed colors with different speeds, and was showing off to the kids who thought they were seeing Sonic running around. And while Nick was happy that Kenny got to show off, he was also a little pissy. Everyone had powers. His brother, Hangman, Kenny, hell, even that prick MJF had some. But not Nick Jackson, because why would he.
The one person in his whole damn family, and his friend group, that didn’t have powers.
“Yo, Nick!” Matt jumped the seat next to Nick and settled down by his brother.
“Oh, hey.”
“You’re over here pouting like that time Jericho accidently put the whole crowd to sleep,” Matt laughed. “Why the long face?”
“Not pouting. No long face.” Nick assured him, but Matt knew him. Nick had been a pouter as a child, especially when Matt was hogging the video games.
"Oh, come on. Lighten up a little." He poked Nick in the side. "Talk to me man."
"Nothing." Nick forced a smile on his face. "Aren't you going to practice that big, vine entrance you're wanting to do?"
"Yeah but I want you to do it with me." Matt had planned to make big vine swings for him and Nick to enter with, making them look like cool Tarzans. But Nick was in a mood. And Matt was pretty sure he knew why. Everyone that had powers in AEW seemed to be showing them off, minus a few, like Jericho.  “You know, they still might come in…” Nick snorted.
“Yours started showing up at 8. Donajo was 10 and so was Malachi.” Nick sighed. “In a world where like 75% of the population has super powers, I’m still fucking special.”
“Hey, you’re still the coolest brother a guy could ask for.” Matt told him. Nick shook his head and stood up. “Come on Nick. Just because you don’t have powers doesn’t mean anything.”
“You’re not making me feel any better.” Nick told him as he started to walk off. He ignored Matt calling for him as he headed back to the locker room. Kenny sped up the steps and sat by Matt.
“Where’s Nick going?” He asked.
“To pout I guess.” Matt shrugged. “I wish he could see how talented he is without any powers. Why don’t we go mess with Jericho and Hardy for a bit? Or Dustin? You know how fun it is when we annoy him.”
“Oh hell yeah.” Kenny laughed, and the two headed off.
****
Nick stayed in the locker room, separating himself from the rest of the elite when they tried to talk to him. Compared to his brother and friends, the coolest thing about him was the birthmark. A lightning bolt, but not like a Harry Potter one. More like the way it looks when lightning strikes something. It started on his left peck and ran down his side. It never hurt. It looked cool, and that was about the only thing that was cool on him.
“Come on man, you gotta get ready.” Matt told him as he finished up putting on his gear.
“Yeah, okay.” Nick sighed. Matt watched him for a minute before speaking up again.
“You good?”
“Yeah, yeah.” Nick was sure he was just tired. He had felt this way when traveling, feeling just off. He just needed a break. He pushed away from the sink and got the rest of his gear on. They had a match against the Lucha Brothers, and those matches were always a crowd favorite.
Nick almost seemed in a trance as they headed down the hallway towards the entrance ramp. He had heard a few people talking about a storm that was on the way, and they were hoping it would just hold off until the show was done.
“Nick? Did you hear me?” Matt asked. Nick blinked a couple of time. “Do you have a concussion? Sick?”
“I’m just tired man. Can we get this over with?”
“Yeah, sure.”
The bucks headed out, Matt showing off his powers by blooming flowers down the ramp as they made their way. The crowd was eating it up, but Nick could care less. Why should he? It was constantly brought up when he was growing up. His parents had powers, his siblings all did. Sometimes, it felt like he was the only person in Rancho Cucamonga that didn’t have cool abilities. Yeah, he could do back flips, but it was hard to compare when your siblings could control earth, levitate, and could hit any target, no matter how difficult.
He was able to put on a facade for the crowd. They never even knew anything was bugging him. Well, at first. But as the match went on, that feeling from earlier intensified. To the point he tagged Matt in before he was due, confusing not only Matt, but also Penta and Rey.
“What are you doing?” Matt asked as they took a second to gain their bearings.
“Somethings not right.” Nick told him. Matt didn’t have time to talk before continuing the match.
But just a minute later, Nick couldn’t handle it anymore. He almost fell off the apron and slowly headed towards the back. Aubrey was confused, as were all the participants and the crowd.
“Nick!” Matt called out. Nick almost seemed to be in a trance as he walked away from his match. Matt wasn’t sure what to do. He needed to follow Nick, make sure he was okay, but he couldn’t just get counted out. So he did what he did best. He fought.
****
Kenny spotted Nick stumbling down the hall. Him and Hangman were watching on the monitor. Cody and Brandi had just walked up to them, everyone confused at where Nick had gone. Until they saw him.
“Shit, Nick. You okay?” Cody asked, but Nick just brushed past him. He needed to get outside. He needed air. He couldn’t breathe in this place.
“Nick!” Kenny called out for him as Nick pushed open a door. Seeing it didn’t lead outside, he continued on down the hall. Hangman went to grab Nick’s arm, put quickly pulled back when an electric jolt shot through im.
“Shit.” He hissed, looking at Kenny. They could hear Matt calling down the hall.
“Matt! Somethings wrong with Nick!” Brandi yelled back. Matt didn’t care how tired his body was. That was his little brother. He had to keep him safe. That was his one job.
Nick found a door to outside then. Pushing it open, he was greeted to fresh, warm summer air. There was thunder as a storm got ready to let loose. He stumbled forward, looking up at the sky.
“Nick! Come back here!” Matt called out. Nick didn’t even look at him as he spread his arms out and his back arched.
The next thing anyone saw was a bright light as a bolt of lightning hit the ground.
****
“Holy shit.” Someone in the parking lot mumbled to their partner. “We have to call the boss. She’s got to know what’s going on.”
“Is that one of the Young Bucks?” The woman asked. The man nodded, a smirk appearing on his face.
“I think we just found our newest recruit.” The guy laughed. “Call Steph and tell her the good news.

a ranking of all the nancy drew games i’ve played during quarantine so far
i’ve owned a big batch of these games for years (steam had a sale on them a long time ago and i snatched them up, but i hadn’t bothered to use bootcamp nor did i have a pc for the longest time). and then came 2020, so i started marathoning these little bastards. some have been amazing. some have been....so fucking bad. here they all are, according to me. i didn’t want to rate them out of 10 or 100 or whatever, because i’m drawn to each one for such bizarre and often arbitrary reasons, so i divided them up into “ouch” “okay” “good” and “favorites,” with a bonus section including the games i haven’t played yet, for whatever reason. enjoy
OUCH
Ransom of the Seven Ships - i….did not hate ransom? there are a lot of things about it that infuriate me: the lack of suspects, the entire existence of johnny rolle/john poole/oh you know and his role in the story, george’s inability to fix that fucking phone, nancy’s total lack of concern for bess’s safety, those goddamn monkeys, etc. but despite of these things i have a weird fondness for, say, diving for treasure at the old shipwreck, and swimming around in blue hole, and driving around the island and crashing into shit. i think the music is fun and atmospheric and i dunno, i played it during early april when everything was still gray and cold, so seeing the sun and the beach was like YES…....YES!!! which may have clouded my judgment. but my personal feelings don’t really matter here; i can’t in good conscience give this one a good rating just for the fact that our single suspect wears fucking BLACKFACE for a third of the game. HER was right to discontinue it.
The Creature of Kapu Cave - i tried to play this one immediately after finishing SAW, which was a HUGE mistake. i think i got to malachi’s lab and got bored and then fucked off for about five months? then i opened the game back up on a whim just a little while ago, saw where i was stuck, decided to just start over, and beat it in one sitting. the setting and plot for this one was GREAT, in theory. and that, i think, is the main problem with kapu cave: it had a good concept but it was halfassed and rushed and didn’t really deliver on anything it had promised. i was so excited to play a game set in hawaii! what were they going to do with it, i wondered?? but the lore and mythology was barely there, the hardy boys just sat around fishing and delivering shave ice, and big island mike made me feel…violent. i kind of stan quigley though. collecting frass was weirdly fun. and the endgame puzzle was HILARIOUSLY bad to the point where i almost consider it avant garde.
OKAY GAMES
Alibi in Ashes - the number one thing that draws me to a nancy drew game is the setting and atmosphere, and this one just DID NOT do it for me. i totally get the appeal some folks might have: the whole “innocuous suburban town holds dark underbelly of backstabbing and secrets” thing is, i’ll admit, a perfectly cromulent concept. but goddamn it, switching characters was a pain in the ass; the fact that we had to transfer important items from one inventory to the other was a pain in the ass; talking to suspects as every single different playable character was a pain in the ass. i think if you’re going to go the multiple characters route you should at least give them somewhat distinct personalities and skillsets lol. and i get that they tried to do that a bit, with certain characters being able to get more out of certain suspects, but oh my god it was tedious. also: that fucking door puzzle at the end. actually, all the puzzles in this one felt rather badly-integrated to me. i YEARN for the days of dusting for fingerprints on alarm system keypads. the highlight of this game for me was having each of the characters drive to the cemetery and listening to them give a little sob before getting back into their cars. impeccable attention to detail.
Ghost of Thornton Hall - UGH. i really wanted to like this one!!! it had everything going for it, too. i mean, crumbling southern gothic mansions! messy family histories full of secrets and lies! grappling with the fraught topic of american slavery and the implications of its legacy!! thornton hall has everything i love, and yet i was so disappointed. even worse, this game started off so strong. savannah’s story about the willow tree had me completely captivated. the vibe of the house and the grounds were just right. this thing hit the ground SPRINTING and then it all just sort of fell apart for me. i didn’t connect with any of the characters. clara came the closest to being interesting to me, but we never really got to delve into her past until the very end, and even then there were so many questions left unanswered. i feel like the writers were like, “okay how do we make this ~~~~~scary~~~~~?” and then wrenched the characters around in these insane directions in order to pull it off. charlotte was supposed to be this kind, well-liked character, except that apparently she hung out in the crypts and put trinkets in all her ancestors’ coffins (HUH??!!) just so that the writers could fit in that sweet sweet shock factor of having the player opening up coffins later in the game. same with jessalyn, to a lesser extent: clara claims jessalyn would never put everyone through this whole kidnapping ordeal, and yet that’s exactly what jessalyn was doing the whole game. i suppose this is the theme of “perfect girls turn out to be not so perfect once they go missing/die” but it just comes off as lazy and inconsistent. harper didn’t enchant me, even though i was expecting her to. i feel like the writers just left it at “she’s craaaaazy!!” in order to justify having weird shit happen in the game. like, yep, that weird thing was harper’s doing. why’d she do it? she’s fucking crazy, that’s why. charlotte popped up so often that i just wanted her to move out of the fucking way so i could click the forward arrow and get on with the game. i felt that the puzzles were badly integrated into the gameplay; there was NOTHING in charlotte’s character (or at least the way she was described by others, i guess there was one throwaway line in her journal) that would indicate that she’d be paranoid enough to leave a trail of puzzles for future characters to find. i had a lot more to say about this one, and if anyone wants the full post, i will absolutely make it, but suffice it to say that it is FAR better to create a tense atmosphere through fear of the Unknown than to repeatedly hit the player over the head with a short charlotte cutscene saying “scary!!! scary!!! this game is scary!!!”
The Haunting of Castle Malloy - a HOT MESS of a game, saved (for me anyway) by the atmosphere and especially the music. stepping into the great hall of castle malloy gave me chills the first time i did it, and i think i was so excited to finally have a game set in ireland that i duly ignored its many faults. in retrospect, if i were to make a game set in ireland, it certainly wouldn’t be this. i’m willing to forgive the jetpack thing because it’s so fucking absurd that it might as well happen, but i’m less forgiving towards the ogham runes puzzle in particular. man, fuck that thing!! kyler has the charisma of a damp piece of paper, and the fact that donal’s main personality trait was his obsession with fairies (donal, the only actual irish character in the game, i might add!) was a bit…tone deaf. i enjoyed mixing “fruit juices,” and exploring what was left of the castle was fun (and also a clever way of avoiding creating massive set-pieces for nancy to explore), but of all the paths the plot could have taken, i so, so wish they hadn’t made brendan malloy ambiguously a nazi. hello?????!!!
GOOD GAMES
Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake - not unmemorable, per se (there were some great moments: that sphincter-tightening opening scene, discovering the untouched speakeasy for the first time, finding paw prints on mickey malone’s crypt), but not my favorite game. i think the setting is mainly to blame for this: it’s close enough to where i grew up that i spent more time critiquing the ecology than becoming invested in the mystery at hand (western tanagers in pennyslvania?? really????). it also felt a little too mundane for me: jeff akers’ old ranger station and emily’s ugly little country store are basically places that i know and frequent, and part of the appeal of these games (at least for me) is to get to explore castles and mansions and faraway places and that sort of thing, you know, places you don’t get to see every day. points for accuracy, though! i really can’t hate this one, when all is said and done, if only for the fact that you can die by falling through rotten floorboards while trying to read a note warning you that the floorboards are rotten. amazing.
Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon - oh my god, fatima is so fucking weird!! i actually don’t have much to say about this one? it was a perfectly solid game with lots of fun little moments, but for me it falls into the abyss of nd games that i didn’t hate but didn’t really love either. the culprit kind of came out of nowhere and i didn’t particularly love any of the characters (except for the crypt-keeper in copper gorge), though camille and jake’s romance was definitely on par with frances and dirk’s. the mine cart ride was fun, but the highlight of the game for me was hanging out in the diner as frank and piling jalapeños on my chef’s choice burger. i’d replay the game just for that. i like that nancy won’t pick up the gem with tino there, in case he thinks we’re doing something suspicious, but we can go right behind his desk and pick up a handful of carbide as if that’s a normal thing to do. i loved playing leaping lizards. to this day i do not understand the slugs puzzle and have always just done it by guessing. where is the bathroom on this train??
Warnings at Waverly Academy - an infuriating game that i love. i went to a hoity-toity historically women’s college and the layout and design of waverly was UNCANNILY close to the real thing, even down to the upholstery on the cheap lounge furniture in the rec room!!! i think the first thing i did in this game was try to climb the tree in broad daylight and immediately get expelled. i have to give a shoutout to rachel hubbard for writing us a note before we’ve even MET her asking us to do her homework, despite the fact that she’s got a whole other twin to help her do it as well (a fact which nancy willfully ignores by the end of the game - get that education bro! hell yeah!). izzy was delightfully bitchy, and playing darts with leela just to get another scrap of case-related information was like putting staples through my forehead. corine’s desperate attempts to come off as effortlessly likable were just that bit too real (yet another uncanny resemblance to waverly’s real life equivalents). the whole blackwood society/hidden treasure thing was completely superfluous and unnecessary: wasn’t the valedictorian race motive enough for sabotage and attempted murder? i love that nancy forgets how to play piano in this one and that you can’t solve that one puzzle until she reads a book and re-learns it.
The Final Scene - impeccable atmosphere, but somehow lacking in some unidentifiable department. maybe it was just too short? i also felt like (as i feel in many of these older games) that i wanted just a BIT more out of the characters, because they’re often so interesting, yet our dialogue options are so limited. i unironically am nick falcone, and i guess brady was…there? i especially wish i could have talked to simone more (“someone’s just climbed out of my wardrobe,” iconic line). i really, really loved the palpable urgency pulsing through every action in the game (actually, maybe that’s why it felt so short?), and nancy’s genuine, desperate concern for maya - where was that energy when bess got kidnapped? lol? i also wanted a little bit more from the harry houdini aspect of the plot; it seemed like we didn’t really get to do much “magic” other than those foot elevators and the flash paper at the end (which i accidentally activated the instant the culprit walked into the frame, so i missed their entire final speech, OOPS). points for the setting (i LOVE old dilapidated buildings) and especially for the music. this might have the best and most cohesive soundtrack of any nancy drew game - that maya motif that shows up in the “danger” track!! impeccable!!
The Secret of Shadow Ranch - i didn’t play this one as a kid, so i didn’t have that moment of “hehe fun horse game WHOA THERE’S A TRAGIC LOVE STORY IN HERE” while revisiting it as an adult. frances humber and dirk valentine’s ill-fated romance was a nice little cherry on top of a perfectly executed game (if this were an objective ranking it’d definitely be in the S tier, but it’s not one of my personal favorites so it’s down here), though i was a little tired at this point in my marathon of nancy doing all the work and thus leading the culprit right to the treasure at the end. on the other hand, i absolutely LOVED the soundtrack and the setting in this one. i do not love horses, and yet riding bob was a real treat, somehow. the vegetable-picking sound effects were intensely satisfying, and collecting eggs was oddly fun. i think my favorite character had to be tex because he just scared the absolute shit out of me every time i had to talk to him, yet he’s such a simp for mazz yazz. keep it up legend. HE’S the one you should be using as your phone wallpaper in SAW, nancy.
MY FAVORITE GAMES
Legend of the Crystal Skull - the worst of my favorite games from an objective standpoint, but i LOVE this one. the plot is a total mess: nancy gets knocked out by some skeleton man breaking and entering in this dead guy’s house, and instead of investigating properly, she wanders around the house collecting glass eyeballs, and solving puzzles, presumably hoping that it’ll all make sense at the end. which it does, kind of. also bess is here too, and lamont’s shop is INSANELY fun to wander around in. i could do without dr. buford’s flirting (isn’t he literally like 95 years old?), but motherfucking henry goddamn bolet is in this one and he makes everything okay. the vibes in this one are impeccable. i love nancy’s silhouetted figure click-clacking through the maze of graveyards in her heels and dress; i love renee’s scary ass room and her pile of koko kringles; i love henry’s strained trying-to-be-polite demeanor and his increasing desperation as his toxic relationship falls apart before his eyes. (dump her, henry!!!) and the music in this one??? incredible. also shoutout to that…thing in the glass tank in lamont’s shop. what the fuck even was that.
Treasure in the Royal Tower - this might be the perfect game? it’s not my favorite (i wish it was a little longer, and that we could interact with the characters more), but i loved every minute of it. the castle feels so real, has that perfect blend of grandeur and somberness that HER has rarely captured since. everything in this game, from the sound and look of the ancient elevator to ezra’s insect collection to nancy’s broken radiator, feel so well-placed and atmospheric. i love that nancy gradually becomes dexter’s ally; i love “achilles security systems,” i love that lisa’s fake IDs are set to expire on february 30th. the only thing that drags the game down for me is its navigation system. it takes approximately 5 business days to figure out where to click on the screen in order to progress down the hall, but once you get used to that, it’s not as awful. unfortunately by the time you’re used to it the game ends. lol. but anyway on a positive note (because this game is full of almost nothing but positives) there’s something liminal and almost magical about setting the alarm for 3 am and sneaking down to the lobby to rendezvous with hotchkiss. none of the other games have that particular ~vibe~. ugh. muah
Secret of the Scarlet Hand - i just have an insane amount of fondness for this game. the setting and the lore are so rich and even on multiple replays i’m still finding new dialogue trees to get lost in, which is lucky because i love all the characters so much. yes, even you, sinclair! this one was kind of a sleeper hit for me; it took me a few months to finish because i kept not having time for it, but once i was done, i looked back on the whole ordeal and was absolutely amazed at the journey i had just taken. for whatever reason i love trivia-rich games, so walking around the museum picking up random bits of information was just plain fun for me. and i also loved the setting - not just the museum itself but the time period. everything about this game screams early 2000s, from nancy’s ancient laptop to the 100mb zip drives to the beige phones and even joanna’s outfit. i’m a sucker for that shit!! but more importantly i’m a sucker for henrik van der hune and all his bizarreness. i love that he commits the actual crime than nancy is investigating (even if it is for supposedly noble purposes) and then gets off without even a second of jail time in the end. and what an iconic ending. that slam poetry bullshit haunts my every waking moment
Shadow at the Water's Edge - the only true horror game in the series, and i applaud the shit out of HER for it. this is, to date, the only nancy drew game that has gotten an actual terrified scream out of me (you all know the scene!). the atmosphere of this one is TERRIFIC. it’s so heavy and melancholy. you can just feel that something awful happened in these baths, and that all the characters are slowly suffocating under the oppressive weight of the tragedy. this is one of the only games in the series where i actually get nervous about moving through the ryokan for fear of seeing…things. but the ryokan is also beautiful, and pristine, and even the terrible accents can’t stop me from enjoying takae’s story about the sparrow or yumi’s penchant for sewing. i don’t even mind the huge sudoku and nonogram puzzles; i find them oddly calming. i love that you have to figure out how to navigate the subway before you can go anywhere (realism!), and i’ve spent more time than i’d like to admit playing pachinko in order to win all of the cute little prizes. i want to live in yumi’s apartment and the little phone dress up games are a fun distraction from all the pants-shittingly terrifying moments at the ryokan. ugh, i love this game.
Curse of Blackmoor Manor - the ultimate. the big daddy. the king of the hill. this is absolutely my nostalgia talking, but come on. this game has everything!! here’s a story. i’m ten years old, and my mother brings home this “nancy drew: curse of blackmoor manor (dvd game)” for me to try out. it sits in a cabinet for a while, because right now zoo tycoon two is my shit and i’m not about to give that up. i think i must have been in middle school when i finally first attempted it. the dvd game, mind you!! i sat my ass down in front of the tv and gradually worked my way through about 1/16th of the game before giving up because i just couldn’t figure out what the point was. (i was kind of dumb.) i was oddly drawn to the setting, though, and i thought about it from time to time. fast forward to high school. my sister and i sit down to try it out (why not??) and we actually start SOLVING things. the astrology puzzle? cracked. brigitte’s box? slam dunked that motherfucker. the whoop bla-ding bang bang stairs? got em. i was scribbling down notes like a fucking fiend. i felt like a total badass. i was CRACKING THE CASE, guys. it was this first fervent foray into the world of puzzle-solving that really flicked the switch on for me. i was a changed person. oh and when we realized that linda was turning into a FUCKING WEREWOLF???? minds blown. this game had a PLOT. something was going ON. i cannot possibly convey how wild it was to me, age 16 or so, to have had this game for years and to have ONLY JUST realized how goddamn cool it was!!! anyway we ended up solving it over the course of a weekend, and it became something of an in-joke in the household, complaining about jane’s puzzles and those fucking glowsticks, the moving rooms and that frog game that was completely up to chance. then i finally got the computer version when steam had a sale (years ago now) and my eyes were opened once again. so THIS is what the game is supposed to be like. the navigation is so clean!! the puzzles are even harder than i remember! i love the rich backstory of the penvellyn family, the weirdness of the puzzles, the fact that fucking oliver cromwell is in this game, sort of. i have an entire blackmoor manor blog AND i’m working my way through a penvellyn-themed bullet journal, yall. i love this game so much lol.
NO INTEREST
Secrets Can Kill - not even the remake could save this one. i just don’t care
The Silent Spy - i hate this premise. i cannot get behind it. i hate when these games have nancy do ~~~~super secret spy shit~~~~ when it’s really just an excuse to insert tedious puzzles into the plot and have nancy do other people’s chores. like she already does that, there’s no need to pretend it’s cool
The Shattered Medallion - i’m kind of tempted to play this one just to see how bad it is. but also i don’t want to waste my time
Labyrinth of Lies - from everything i’ve read, it sounds like i will hate it
Midnight in Salem - uhhhhhh
Danger by Design - maybe it’s good but i don’t care enough to find out
The Phantom of Venice - again i hate these stupid ass spy plots and venice doesn’t have sewers. idk maybe i’ll give it a try someday.
TO PLAY
The White Wolf of Icicle Creek - i just started this one, having the time in the top right corner gives me anxiety
Danger on Deception Island - i hope this one is good. i really want to enjoy it
The Captive Curse - my sister said this one is good?
Stay Tuned for Danger - this one looks like a classic lol. i have a soft spot for the early games
Message in a Haunted Mansion - another classic, it’s on my list
MAYBE
Trail of the Twister - the setting doesn’t inspire me but maybe the characters will?
Tomb of the Lost Queen - perhaps altho i’ve heard hotchkiss overstays her welcome in this one
The Deadly Device - i don’t feel like playing this one at the moment but maybe someday i will actually do it and find that i love it
Sea of Darkness - the setting looks really nice so maybe i will enjoy it
Secret of the Old Clock - maybe i will find this one oddly charming???
The Haunted Carousel - i played this as a kid (it was the only pc game from the series i owned, i played the rest at my friends’ houses lol) and i have like…zero memories of it. i think it was really short. nancy got stuck on roller coaster tracks? and the ending came out of nowhere. maybe i’ll try it again, idk.
