The Overlook Film Festival descends on New Orleans in just a few short days, and this year’s lineup is jam packed with horror films, interactive exhibits and panels. A 4-day celebration of all things horror, this year’s festival begins April 19, 2018 in America’s most haunted city: New Orleans, Louisiana. I'm kinda curious about the Making Fiends: True Heir AU

Can you give me some info about it

Sure thing!! I haven't worked on it in a while, but it's pretty much an AU that takes place in the TV show version.

Here's a small synopsis of the AU:

Little over a decade has passed and Vendetta is still determined (albeit, more hesitant and soft due to Charlotte's kindness) to try and kill that annoying blue girl, Charlotte. She looks at her fiendish recipe book and finds one she's never heard of before. It's a recipe that allows her to create limitless fiends. As she attempts to perfect this recipe, the fiend mix violently shakes and sloshes around in the cooking bowl, soon jumping at Vendetta, engulfing her body in sticky, melting fiend mix. Once the process is nearing its completion, the fiend mix creates a giant silky, black cacoon in which the fiend mix finalizes its modifications on Vendetta. Soon, Vendetta emerges from the cacoon, now sporting a long, cascading dress with eyes and teeth, and two deer-like horns. Her new form acts like a symbiote that allows Vendetta to create a limitless amount of fiends with her mass. She needs a new name to call her new form, so she calls herself "Venadow", a play on her old name Vendetta, and the Latin word "Venado" which means deer or stag. With this new form, she intends to destroy Charlotte no matter the cost and destroy anyone who stands in her way. Charlene, minding her own business with Charlotte finds out what she's planning with her new fiends and body as demonic-looking fiends scatter throughout Clamburg and attack them both. Wanting to protect Charlotte, Charlene (as well as other Clamburg inhabitants) shall attempt to stop her and remove the symbiote/parasite from Vendetta and truly restore Clambrug to its former glory.

Vendetta Headcanons

I’m gonna make a take and comic on Making Fiends, since it’s both a show that I hyper-fixate on, and it’s also a show that has a lot of things that go unexplained. One of these unexplained things is why Vendetta rules over Clamburg in the first place. So here’s my headcanon on why she did this (as well as a bonus headcanon too)

Vendetta Origin Headcanon:

Vendetta moved to Clamburg from overseas, and she was unfortunately bullied when she started going to Clamburg Elementary, so no matter where she was, she was always alone. She talks to her parents (Violetta and Viktor) about what happened at school, and they do their best to try and make Vendetta happy, whether it be getting a pet hamster who she named “Gabriel”, or going to the Clamburg Aquarium. They wanted their daughter to be happy, no matter what.

One day, while at the library, she uncovers a book detailing how to create these creatures known as “Fiends”. At first she uses the book to make her friends and to see the possibilities, but then she gets the sinister idea to use her fiends to pull juvenile pranks on those who’ve bullied her at school.

These pranks soon turn into hostile threats, and Vendetta, as a result, becomes power-hungry, using her fiends to terrorize the city of Clamburg, and causing it to be under her fiendish regime. Vendetta causes the city to become a barren and gloomy town because in her eyes, if she can’t be happy, then no one can be happy. So from then on, Vendetta takes pleasure in disrupting the townsfolk and continuing to make it a gloomy hellscape.

That is until Charlotte arrives...

Bonus Headcanon:

Vendetta would usually say that she despises Charlotte, but I headcanon that after being around Charlotte for a while, she’ll begin to secretly like Charlotte and she doesn’t want to destroy her, because she’s the only person (besides her parents and Charlene) who genuinely care about her, and how Charlotte’s the only one who wants to be her friend (maybe something more than friends). And whenever Vendetta’s alone, she would talk and write to herself about how much she likes having Charlotte around and how she doesn’t want her gone because she’s the only person in Clamburg who wants to be her friend, something she wanted long before her tyrannical rampage.
