"…what are you staring at?" out comes the muffled question, soft and warm, like the half-eaten sesame ball lightly squished between their fingers. golden eyes flicker down for just a second at the treat, reminding him of their cheeks earlier when they were stuffed full as they chowed down on fried rice. his smile stretches wider. it's that same, lovely grin that never fails to make their heart flutter. "you," (adorable you), "of course. what, i can't lovingly stare at and appreciate my cute, cute partner?" a wobbly smile is followed by a puff of breath and the bloom of red on their cheeks. "whatever…" his grin stays.

as a jetko fluff enthusiast personally the fluffy parts of jetko just would just not hit for me if they didnt have their regular canon angst setup. and i feel like the rare times where they ARE given fluff it is under the inevitable context of angst which just makes it hit harder dykwim. even in AUs where its mostly fluff it hits that like. they suffered in another world to have wholesome moments in this one . do you feel me

i love them so much bc they are DEVASTATINGG so every fluffy moment they have is either in the context of impending angst or angst they overcame either in that life or in a previous one and it is so so delicious

More of a personal sketch

I’ve seen pictures of wonderful people and their babies recently and I can’t help missing when the Beans were tiny (and more portable!). I miss squishy baby snuggles, but I love talking art with Babybean. I miss toothless baby smiles but I’m in awe of Little Lava’s mind and how he can figure out machines and how they work so quickly.

The teething and the late nights are hard, but then one day you blink and the bigger one has dismantled and repaired the family vacuum, or the little one has declared your favorite video game character her friend.
