but she's not there. he waits, but she's not there. he closes his eyes, sparing himself the view, and steps off the ledge

and is saved by Hermes. and Odysseus briefly thinks that he has died, since Hermes escorts souls to the underworld. but Hermes assures him that, no, he's alive, Athena heard him, she bargained with Zeus, he can go home now. he can finally go home

i am so. upset. in bridge when maya says her profession is "assistant manager at wright & co. law offices". oh girl i am so sorry your family duties have caused you so much pain and i am so grateful you have phoenix to lean into when there's literally nothing left. but it is so heartbreaking. in the trilogy, in order, she's dealt with: her sister's murder, being framed for her sister's murder, being framed for dr. grey's murder by her own aunt, being kidnapped, and then being kidnapped possessed AND watching her own mother's murder while being framed for it. and pearl set it up unknowingly. who suffered more maya fey or jesus christ. of COURSE she's gonna lean into the ONLY safe connection she has left. the only person who she can trust to fight and save her no matter the situation, no matter what happens to her, phoenix would do ANYTHING for her, no strings attached, no higher priority than her that can override his concerns. yeah.

it's really weird to me the way people have been talking about maria lately.... like i know maria wasnt the most developed character in her earlier appearances and she also didnt get to have a normal childhood experience but seeing people say she has no personality and has no joy or whimsy or never got to be a kid at all makes me wonder if im the only person whos actually been paying attention to maria this whole time...???? like do people think she was a sad miserable kid who never got to have fun because of her disability or something ? because that is quite literally the opposite of who she was

and people are being weirdly ableist about it too like talking like her illness is the reason for all those traits she supposedly lacks. implying disabled people cant be happy or have fun or whatever. like come on man
