If you didn’t think Batman was going to get better, you wouldn’t have allowed Tim to become Robin no matter what. You'd reluctantly give Bruce a B- in parenting. He's not perfect but he's trying which is enough that you're willing to help.

You, through gritted teeth: I know and believe you can be good but this is rotten work, especially to me, especially if it's you, but I'll do it.

Your persona as Robin is carefully curated so that you are almost exactly like Tim. It’ll get annoying if people get confused about there being two different Robins running around at the same time so it’s easier if you just pretend to be the same person. You fill in enough times that putting on the Robin uniform automatically makes you slip into “Tim-Robin” mode which freaks a lot of people out at how uncanny it is.

You can perfectly imitate Tim's voice.

Despite your efforts pretending to be as similar to Tim as possible, it’s not totally perfect, obviously. You’re- a bit scary actually. You make the right quips, make the same distractions and appear to be exactly the same as “normal Robin” but it’s just… something is a little bit off. You’re always watching. Maybe you’re just the Robin that takes after Batman’s demeanor the most.

Part of what adds to the whole “hmm something is up with Robin 3” is that sometimes people will be like “I definitely saw Robin break his arm yesterday so how tf is he okay and patrolling today???”

Tim is still a better detective than you are but you’re no slouch either. You did not squint at gritty photos of crime scenes from three different newspapers and reconstruct doll house versions of them with dollar store craft supplies so you could teach 9-year old Tim how to analyze crime scenes just to become a “mediocre detective”.

During the early Robin 3 days, Batman used to accidentally call you and Tim, Jason. He’s also called you Tim on several occasions.

You take the Robin role during Batman’s “bad days” early on in Tim’s run as Robin because you’re able to handle to worst of it. Batman is… relentless, cold, terribly uncooperative on those days. He didn’t want another Robin and you’re well aware of how he lashes out at the two of you because of it. You don’t want Tim to go through the worst of Batman when being Robin is supposed to be something good. What are you meant to do if not protect him?

Wrangling Batman is difficult. You spend way too much time pulling him aside to say “You need to pull back on your punches. If you land them in the ICU again I will be ending this patrol early.” Although just having a Robin beside him makes things better, it doesn’t mean it’s great by any means. Depending on how much he pissed you off, you enact various punishments upon him such as making all his coffee decaf, helping Alfred make his least favourite foods, shutting down the batcomputer so he can’t work on cases and so on.

Overtime, as Batman gets better, you fill in less often. It's also because around this time you get very busy running Drake Industries.

You get on Commissioner Gordon’s case about how many cigarettes he’s smoking. All these Robins and you're the first to look so disappointed in him.

You have gone on patrol several times and no one noticed it was you and not Tim. It’s funnier not to correct them until you de-mask at the end of the night and reveal that it was you all along.

Sometimes you and Tim just swap in the middle of the night.

At the top of a lot of contingencies, there’s a note that just says “if (Y/n) inexplicably has an answer or solution, believe them and follow what they say”

Wow, this was such a silly and fun episode! Seriously Team, you've done a great job, yall got be CRACKLING throughout the whole thing which isn't an easy feat. AND a 3 + Bob dynamic? I LOVE IT!! This was so good and I really hope we get to have more episodes like this, either with team-up dynamics or character exploration (like 3 in particular).

Now, as for my tier list I mentioned earlier, here's the updated version from the first one:

Anyway MARTY IS BACK!! Oh man, I'm REALLY hoping Puzzles would also recruit him into the revenge plan. He would be, dare I say it, perfect for it. Ok ok, you guys gotta see my (creative) vision here:

we will need Marty to transfer to solitary confinement row with Puzzles, or just have them in the same building, either one works

Then, for the next arc around June, WPNZ breaks Puzzles out of jail (and Marty uses the opportunity to get out of there too with his "son"), and then our two antagonists get a chance to have a whole arc for themselves to bond. y'know the whole strangers to friends to breakup (read: divorce) to reconciling. Hell, the Crew doesn't even need to be part of it at all, and that way we raise the stakes higher for the future. Side note: they didn't know Marty was in jail.

WOTFI 2025 would have Marty as the main anatagonist but this time, the whole Crew (yes. even Karen) would be there and once he's defeated but not killed, Puzzles would come and recruit him. Idk, probably for Marty losing his son or something bc of them.

THEN we get Puzzlevision Plus/IGBP 2 (+ the ultimate test of 3's character development if he gets recruited right before it)

➶ watching horrors together only to have you in his arms *ೃ༄

As much as Riki didn’t want to admit it was one of his favorite feelings in the whole world. Especially if you were scared and wanted to be as close to him as it’s physically possible. That’s why he enjoyed watching horror movies with you. He exactly knew what reaction he could expect from you, so it was your go-to movie genre whenever you had a movie night together. The way you buried your face in his chest or neck made his heart flutter and cheeks flush with a bright blush which he tried to cover up by laughing and teasing you.

“Do we really have to watch that?” you asked tucking on his sleeve.

“It’s a really good movie, Y/nah, you’re going to like it,” he reassured you, knowing damn well what your reactions are gonna be.

You silently read the description. Of course, a horror movie. What else could Riki pick? You bit your lips, mentally preparing for all the jumpscares and awful characters that await you.

None of you were wrong. For the first 30 minutes of the movie when nothing really happened you thought it was not going to be as bad as you thought, only for the worst to show up on the screen. You flinched at the loud sound and sudden jumpscare and tugged at his arm this time, earning a laugh from him. Your reactions were in his eyes none but endearing, they also made him want to protect you at all costs.

Without saying a word you cuddled to him, seeking comfort in his arms and calming scent. Riki just wrapped his arms around you, occasionally rubbing your back when other scary scenes showed up.

“You’re such a baby,” he spoke and added quickly seeing your fake mad expression. “My baby.”

➶ wearing your hair tie on his wrist *ೃ༄

Being the forgetful person you are you often kept on either losing small stuff like hair ties, which to be honest wasn’t very comfortable, especially on windy days. You would curse yourself for not taking anything to tie or pin your locks with. That’s when Riki comes to the rescue. Knowing your habit he kept on one hair tie on his wrist just in case you forgot one. Sometimes he would even offer to tie them for you, gently brushing through them with his fingers or a comb.

Looking down at you struggling with your hair Riki couldn’t contain his smile. The wind had no mercy on you today, making your locks go in all the different directions possible. When you were on the verge of fuming he silently walked behind you taking all your hair in his hands. He gently brushed through them, careful not to hurt you. He tied them with a hair tie he kept on his wrist into a comfortable low ponytail that you were so used to.

“Thank you,” you spoke sweetly and looked up at him.

“No problem,” he said, returning your baby tone to you.

You climbed on your toes to plant a quick kiss on his lips leaving him blushing at unexpected affection. You took his hand firmly

➶ face lighting up when he sees you *ೃ༄

This is something Riki just can’t help with. Whenever he is waiting for you at home, or you just ran at each other, he can’t contain his big and bright smile. Watching as his eyes slowly disappear and his face lifts at your sight make your heart feel warm and skip a beat or two. In the beginning, he tried to contain himself but with time it began to be even more difficult, so he just gave up, showing how much he was whipped for you.

Riki waited for you a little bit longer than usual and started to get pretty impatient and mad. He took his phone out of his pocket to call you when he noticed you waving at him from the distance and shouting his name.

“Riki!”

He didn’t even notice when a smile crept on his face. Was it your excited expression? Was it the way his name sounded in your lips? Or was it just because you were his favorite person? He didn’t know, but what he did know was how your body hit his when you ran excitedly to him. He wrapped his arms around you, all the thoughts about you being late disappearing immediately.

“I’m sorry I’m late,” you said breathlessly.

“It’s okay,” he responded quietly, tucking a lone strand of your hair behind your ear. Dreamy gaze and a loving smile never leaving his lit-up face.

➶ doodling on your palm *ೃ༄

Having a soft spot for you and drawing seemed like a perfect match since you never had any objections against him doodling on your skin. The feeling of a pen dancing on your skin and Riki’s focused facial expression made you smile every time he did that. Without noticing your hand would be covered with cute drawings, either portraying small symbols or his favorite characters from animations.

If one thing could tell you Riki was getting bored of a movie or TV series you’ve been watching it was definitely him grabbing a pen and drawing small patterns on your palm.

“Do you want to watch something else?” you asked pausing the movie you were dying for months to watch.

“No, no, it’s okay, I know how much you wanted to watch it,” he responded nonchalantly.

“You sure? We can watch something else,” you suggested but he shook his head in disapproval.

“I’m sure, are you okay with me drawing on your hand though?”

“Was I ever not okay with it?” you asked and raised your eyebrow with a smile.

He just smiled to himself and continued drawing on your arm stunning small symbols and characters, soon covering it all, not leaving any spot.

➶ tying your shoelaces *ೃ༄

If he could erase any of your traits it would definitely be your forgetfulness which unfortunately didn’t limit to only forgetting things. Living in a hurry often made you forget the most trivial things like eating your meals or tying your shoelaces. By now Riki developed a habit of always checking the state of your shoes before heading to your destination. He could count how many times you almost tripped really badly because of them. At first, he found it cute and quite funny but now whenever he sees them undone he just shakes his head and kneels to tie them for you.

„Your shoelaces are undone,” Riki remarked as he pointed to your feet.

You followed his gaze and just shrugged.

“It’s okay,” you said and squeezed his hand slightly.

Soon you were stopped by his firm posture. He looked at you with an expression that talked for itself. He shook his head and sighed kneeling in front of you. The sight of it took you aback wondering what he was up to, only to find out he wanted to tie your shoes for you.

“You keep on tripping over because of them and still manage to say it’s okay?” he asked rhetorically fingers still busy with your shoelaces.

“Thank you,” you simply said, flustered by his gesture and care.

Soon he stood up, now again towering above you. He took your hand gently in his with a smile and guided you to your destination.

You could think he would give you some head start but nothing could be further from the truth. He would put the use of his long hours at the gym and have no mercy in beating your ass in pillow fights. Of course, it didn’t mean he would put too much force into them but just enough to leave both of you hysterically laughing at the way you lose miserably. He would always top them out with a sweet kiss either on your forehead or lips.

When you agreed on another sleepover with Riki you knew what you signed up to. He could greet to with the sweetest smile and gentle kiss but that wouldn’t stop him from tackling you down in a fierce feathery battle. And today was no different from other times. You were currently losing against your boyfriend, while both of you laughed loudly.

“I can’t breathe, please stop Riki!” you begged for him to stop. Riki always seemed to know when you were serious and when it was playful. Sensing you needed a break he threw his weapon to the other side of the bed. He cupped your cheeks and left tickling kisses on your eyelids, forehead, and finally lips.

“Rest for a bit. I’m not done beating your weak ass.”

I dont usually send asks, mostly cause im shy and don’t know what to say lol, but I wanted to share my appreciation for your Kendratello AU, cause it’s helped me recognize a toxic relationship in my own life.

I’ve never been a victim to SA or anything of the likes, so I can’t say I’ve been EXACTLY in Donnie’s place, but something that unsettled me early on when reading your AU was how…NICE Kendra would seem when alone with Donnie.

In a lot of media, especially in the media I saw growing up, the manipulative antagonist almost always had very obvious tells that show they’re evil when interacting with the victim. Maybe they’re talking about committing a very clearly villainous deed, keep the protagonist prisoner, something like that. But Kendra didn’t. Well, not always.

Kendra destroyed Donnie from the foundation up, and then rebuilt him back up to be who she wanted him to be, would punish him but then spin the situation around to be his own fault, but the rest of the time she would seem kind.

Only recently have I realized that someone very close to me has been toxic for most of our lives, and the reason it took me this long to realize it was because they would treat me kindly only until it became in their own interest to act otherwise. But I would take it, because I loved them and didn’t want to hurt their feelings, and I assumed that since they loved me, they wouldn’t ACTUALLY (emotionally) hurt me.

Spoiler alert: they did.

I’m not going to get much more into it, but your AU’s been very comforting to me ever since this happened, because it’s helping me come to terms with the fact that what happened wasn’t my fault just because our relationship seemed nice most of the time.

Your depiction of Kendra manipulating Donnie so realistically, and Donnie slowly but surely realizing that Kendra was hurting him is so powerful, and I thank you for that.

I’m very sorry for what you’ve gone through. I hope you can find what you need to heal. Everyone’s traumas are so different, so please if you can, and haven’t already, speak to a professional that will give you help catered to you.

But I do want to immediately answer your question and say, yes, I have healed, for the most part. It took a lot of work and self-reflection that I didn’t want to do, because it was scary. But when I finally talked to someone, and realized I needed to take action in order to heal, that was when the process started.

For years, I thought my only options were to suffer in silence, and that what happened to me was my own fault, because towards the end, I was consenting. But I didn’t understand how my mindset and self worth had become so twisted.

My person (let’s call him J) was one of my best friends growing up. But as he got older, and more interested in…mature things, he changed. J would only ever agree to hang out together unless I offered to give him something to make it worth his while. Eventually I started to think these acts were all I was good for, as that’s all that made him happy to be around me. Pretty soon, J didn’t even have to push the ideas onto me. He only had to act uninterested or busy, and I would sit there and beg to do whatever he wanted.

The idea of rejection grew to be so painful and terrifying as he was one of only two friends that I had (the other being his sister. So if I lost one, I was so scared to lose the other). And I’d recently lost one of my closest childhood friends. Which he often used her cutting contact with us in his manipulations as well.

(It wasn’t until years later that she contacted me through Facebook and revealed that it was J that made her feel too uncomfortable, and as she already lived two hours away from us, and only visited once a year, it was just easier for her to cut off contact. I don’t blame her now, but without that knowledge, the thought that it was something I did, only helped J manipulate me.)

As I grew older, and I got better friends, I started to learn just how much I’d been pushed into only ever doing what he wanted, and how one sided of a relationship it was. He moved away, and that distance I was so scared of became a reality. But it was the best thing to ever happen. I still wonder what would’ve happened if he’d stayed in town. If we might’ve gotten married or if I would’ve finally stood up for myself. But all that matters is he is gone. There is always the danger of him coming home and me seeing him—we were neighbors, so his parents and mine still live right next door. Holidays can be kind of a high stress time lol.

That cafe comic is actually probably the most therapeutic piece out of the whole Kendratello AU I’ve done, as it’s always been a fear of mine that I could just turn around and he’d be in town visiting lol. Sending Kendra through that portal was highly cathartic. But even if that were to happen now, I have my coping skills, and I’m in a much better headspace. I think I would be able to handle myself.

I’m still a people pleaser, I don’t think that’s ever going to go away, even with all the work I’ve done. The biggest thing is, I know I’m worth more now. I can see real kindness, and catch the fake stuff much better by looking for those same toxic signs. The real friendships I’ve made have shown me what connection is truly like. It’s not a one-sided negotiation every time you get together. And if it is, then it’s probably not a healthy give and take. I’ve healed, but it is a constant effort.

Every new person sets off some kind of anxiety in the back of my head, but I don’t let that fear control how our relationship will develop. I’ve got the final say in what happens and what I get out of it.

Setting aside your textbook, you rose from your chair and made your way to the door, its hinges creaking softly as you opened it. The sight of a tall, curly-haired figure standing outside didn't surprise you.

"Luke? It's 2 am. You can't keep coming over this late," you remarked with a hint of exasperation.

Luke merely shrugged in response. "Why not? You're never asleep either."

You crossed your arms, shooting Luke a disapproving look. "That doesn't mean anything," you replied, glancing at the dimly lit hallway to make sure no one else was disturbed by the noise.

Luke leaned against the doorframe, a smirk on his face. "Come on, I brought snacks," he said, holding up your favorite chips and soda.

Despite your initial annoyance, you couldn't resist a small smile. "You're lucky I'm hungry." You muttered, stepping aside to let him in. As he entered, you couldn't help but notice the tired look in his eyes.

"What's going on?" You asked, closing the door behind him.

Luke flopped down onto your roommate's unoccupied bed, letting out a sigh. "Couldn't sleep. Thought we could hang out for a bit," he admitted, popping open a soda can.

You sighed, realizing that something was bothering him. "Alright, what's up, Luke? What's on your mind?" you asked, taking a seat across from him.

Luke hesitated as he looked up to meet your gaze. He sighed and shook his head, he couldn't hide anything from you no matter how hard he tried.

"I just..." He started, not knowing exactly where to begin. "Everything is happening too quickly. I feel I just started at Michigan and now everyone's sayin' I'm going to New Jersey, that my future's so bright but... I don't know." He shrugged again, nervously bouncing his leg against the bed.

You leaned forward, your expression softening with empathy. "It's a big step, Luke," you said gently, "Leaving behind what's familiar and stepping into something new can be scary."

His restless leg slowed as he listened, his eyes searching yours for understanding. "Yeah, exactly," he replied, his voice tinged with vulnerability. "I mean, don't get me wrong, it's what I've been working towards, but... it's just hitting me all at once, you know?"

You nodded, offering him a reassuring smile. "I know but everyone knows you're gonna do great, you're already the star of Michigan, you're gonna the star on the Devils, too."

Luke stayed quiet for a moment before letting out a sigh. "What if I'm not?" His voice was quiet as he spoke, he sounded so vulnerable. "Everyone thinks I'm gonna do great things, just like Jack and Quinn but what if I can't? What if I'm not as good as them? What if it all goes downhill after this?"

Taking a moment to choose your words carefully, you reached out to gently place a hand on his. "Luke, listen to me," you began, your voice steady and reassuring. "You are not your brothers, and you don't need to be. You're your own person, with your own talents and strengths."

Luke's gaze remained fixed on the floor, his thoughts seemingly trapped in a whirlwind of anxiety. "But what if I'm not good enough?" he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.

Your grip on his hand tightened slightly, your reassurance unwavering. "You are more than good enough, Luke. What if it all doesn't go downhill? What if this is the start of something great, Luke? You're great at hockey and everyone knows that, that's never gonna disappear."

Luke's eyes slowly lifted to meet yours, a hint of vulnerability still lingering in his gaze. As you continued to hold his hand, you spoke with determination.

"You've worked endlessly to get to where you are, and that's not by accident," you said, your words carrying a sense of belief. "You've earned every opportunity because of your skill and passion for the game."

He took in your words, and a subtle shift occurred in his expression. "What if I disappoint everyone?" Luke questioned, his doubt still present.

You squeezed his hand reassuringly. "You won't, Luke. You've got a support system that believes in you, not just because of your last name but because of who you are. And if there are tough times, we'll face them together, okay?"

Luke's lips curved into a small smile as he gazed at you, your heart flipping as he looked at you like you were the best thing in the entire world.

"Okay," Luke replied, his smile growing more genuine.

Encouraged by his response, you leaned back, your hands now resting on your own lap. "Look, no one expects you to have it all figured out," you continued. "What matters is that you're taking steps forward, and we're all here for each other through it all."

The tension in Luke's shoulders seemed to ease further, and he nodded in agreement. "I'm lucky to have you around, you know?" he admitted, his voice sincere.

"Yeah, you are." You said in a joking manner, causing a quiet chuckle to come out of Luke's mouth. "Now, do you wanna watch some movies?"

"Yeah, let's do it."

In a war there's no time to explore or search for things that can be useful, or even search for clues, less with the fact that youre leading an army. There was no puzzle, no mistery to solve or objects that needed to be obtained, just plain fight and confrontation, not leaving space for investigation or even a good rest in town

They have a point, without exploring they wouldn't have the arsenal that they carry; powerful items that can kill a whole army of monsters, a gift left by the hero before them to help, shinies. All that is really useful when you want to save the whole kingdom

lets not forget all the weapons that you can get on HW, there are some that are like, crazy powerful, and the materials get from the enemies are also really helpful

Hear Me Out on This-

Okay, I'm like 100% sure that someone has talked about this, but for my own sanity, I need to say it again. So, in the trailer for Touchstarved, we get flashes of the LIs' "true nature"/"hidden side" if that makes sense? We get a glimpse of what's going on beneath the surface of these characters and what they're hiding - We see the outline of Kuras's angel form, Vere's monster form, Mhin's cursed bird form, Ais and Ocudeus, but Leander?

Leander's got nothing going on, which I find both funny and a little scary- He has no body transformation, no big monster, nothing. It's just him.

From just the silhouette alone, and comparing it to the other's silhouettes in these cuts, he's Just A Guy™. He's Just Some Dude™. He's not hiding anything! :) (He is-)

I think his having no physical changes can be sort of tied into the fact that Leander is trying to present himself as more trustworthy/normal than the other LIs?? Everyone else has something going on with them in these quick cuts, but Leander has nothing but his usual sprite and FNAF movie glowing eyes (/j /lh). Leander not having any sort of changes in this cut could be him trying to convince us as the viewer/player that he's trustworthy, not just the MC in the game,, He has no transformation/glowing magic tattoos/chains binding him, so obviously he can be trusted, right?? Am I making sense??

Leander doesn't have any hidden horrors/monstrosities beneath the surface because he IS the horror /lh

-Prof. Sycamore: Caregiver or babysitter, just because I feel like he would be quite forgetful. Like unless his little one has obvious tells that they are regressed (ie. Using a pacifier, slurred speech, different comfy clothes, etc.) He’s going to just forget, or just overlook it. Ah I don’t know how to put that. Like he’s still sweet and caring just… a bit silly me thinks

-Kaiwe: Flip, big brother regressor/caregiver

Animal Crossing~

-Bones (animal crossing): Toss up between being a babysitter known for spoiling the littles he looks after with treat and cuddles, or a regressor… I’m leaning more towards babysitter personally. Also I think he would help his little one in the making of putting on a puppet show;

-Isabell: Flip, regressor leaning

-Tom Nook: Babysitter. In the sense that he is very aware of those who regress on the island and gives them little tasks to in exchange for stickers or treats

Star Trek~

-Bones/ Leonard McCoy: Well maybe I am biased but caregiver coded. He just ahs a very dad vibe about him you know? Plus being a doctor and with a knowledge of psychology I just know he’d be familiar with what age regression is

Lego Ninjago~

-Lloyd: Regressor/ pet regressor He would be a little dragon. I think I remember Cole being scared of dragons in the pilot episodes, so umm he definitely sneaks up on the other, roaring and trying to scare him

-Kai: Flip, caregiver leaning. Super sweet. The kind of caregiver who thinks that most problems can be solved with ice cream and cuddles

-Nya: Flip caregiver leaning. I feel like she's regressed with her brother before either because he wanted a playmate, or just to be like there's nothing to feel bad about. So maybe that would put her more as an age dreamer... hmmm welp, too late to redo the list now XD

-Cole: caregiver, going off of the wiki here but the fact that he seems to be very parental to those younger than him. Hates letting his little one down, so even over the smallest detail he's going to make sure everything goes smoothly to the best of his ability

Genshin~

-Ayato: I was going to say caregiver, but upon further consideration, puppy regressor. Wants to be little with his sister around but also, no talking, he’s delt enough with people all day if he wants interaction then he’ll initiate it himself. And being in puppy space no need to talk, just woofs. Also because of his role the idea of ‘age regressing’ in the typical sense leaves a bad taste in his mouth

-Ayaka: Caregiver coded. Looks after her brother a lot but also just enjoys being able to still take care of someone but just with less pressure to do everything perfect. Healing in it’s own way. I think maybe she would age dream from time to time, but never fully regress

-Aether: To no ones shock at all, regressor. I want to say that back with his sister he was a flip and they would take care of each other but without his other half and way to much put on his shoulders he’s solely just a little one now

-Wriothesley: Puppy regressor, specifically a german shepherd or Doberman, or any other dog breed with ‘scary dog privileges. Thinks he’s the scariest little guy. His caregiver’s see him as their adorable pup.

-Venti: Caregiver who's the best with baby regressor's. They're his little wisp and he plays lullaby's for them and is just the best at settling down fussy little ones.

-Kaeya: Caregiver. He has the best stories to tell his little ones and he definitely spoils them rotten. Regressor so much as looks at something twice and he'll get it for them

-Diluc: Flip caregiver leaning + pet regressor. Something something being a wolf regressor. He would probably chomp on his brother's arm just to annoy him, but also love noms. Also like I have said waaaay too many times on my blog, he would just have a soft spot for little ones trust me.

-Albedo: Regressor & pet regressor. Never really had a real childhood so age and pet regression kinda blur within one another. Snow leopard regressor or a husky regressor. He can spend an abnormal amount of time out in the cold and is quite content in doing so.

Overwatch~

-Mercy: Caregiver Oooh big sister caregiver. Going purely off of vibes but I mean. She just feels like she would be great with baby regressors. Just to be swaddled in soft blankets and fluffy wings to protect you. Also adding wanting to look after her little ones in a way that she was never taken care if as a child

Ace Attorny~

-Maya: Pet regressor. She’s has a kitten space that’s always getting her into mischief.

AOT~ We are going off of vibes here purely because I don’t know the first thing about this series

-Armin Arlert: Toddler regressor or baby space regressor, I can't quite come to a decision. Curious kiddo who is so easily distracted by everything

-Eren Jaeger: Middle regressor, usually older than Armin, though I could also see him being a toddler in his terrible twos. Lot of temper tantrums/meltdowns when little because of having so many emotions just bubbling over the surface.

-Mikasa Ackerman: Oh yeah 100% caregiver coded. I was going to label all three as littles, but I just think she needs to look after someone just to heal from her own childhood. Also because her friends are all she has left she wants to make sure they're as happy and comfortable as possible

Watching them pine for each other was painful for everyone involved but them! They liked each other for ages before getting together (Thank you Tenny for inspiring this one).

Kourai was the one who confessed, and one half of me believes that it was an angry, fed-up confession (If you've seen my Hiruhoshi comic you know). Sachirou was beyond shocked that Kourai liked him back (low-self esteem will do that to you).

Kourai has great hand strength and is amazing at massages. Since Sachirou has a really bad posture and gets great back pain - sometimes even migraines from it - Kourai will force him to lie down for a bit every once in a while so he can work out the knots from his back. Sachirou has a high pain tolerance so he manages, but any normal mortal being would succumb to Kourai's violent backrubs. /nsrs

Both their families approve their relationship pretty quickly. Sachirou was a little nervous but Asa ended up welcoming him so openly that that quickly faded. He found it cute how much Kourai took after Asa. Fukurou was probably the most 'teasing' one out of both family's, since he already knew Kourai and thought it was funny to fluster him.

Despite possible expectations, both of them are rather fond of kids and are pretty good at taking care of them. They've babysat their siblings' children at gatherings.

It is very much recommended that you don't piss either of them off. They can get very protective when it comes to their partners/family in general and are not afraid to rock your shit.

Sachirou has a picture of Kourai getting tackled by a dog as his phone background. Kourai had picked him up from work and Sachirou wanted to show him a dog that 'looked like him' (it didn't really but he needed an excuse), a Japanese Spitz. The dog promptly got too excited to be pet and jumped onto Kourai, knocking him over.

Kourai has a picture of Sachirou laughing with Asa as his phone background. They were looking at Kourai's baby pictures at a family gathering and Sachirou got a kick out of it.

Their bickering is kind of scary for people who don't know them well. Not because their fights are intense, but because they both throw quite dark and personal jabs at each other. They both know they're joking and think it's funny, outsiders don't.

Similarly, Sachirou has thick skin when it comes to Kourai (inspired by the panel of him being unphased as Kourai just tells him to quit). Suicide jokes are not off the table and are actually the thing that help Sachirou feel less awkward about communicating Kourai when he's not doing well.

Despite their height difference, it's usually Sachirou who is getting cradled by Kourai when they sleep/cuddle. Sometimes it's the other way, but Kourai likes holding Sachirou more than he likes being held by him.

Both of them get really warm when they sleep and it gets hellish in the summer. Both of them usually just wear boxers and a shirt/tanktop to bed, sometimes no shirt at all.

Kourai either tops or is a power bottom I don't make the rules (/lh)

Kourai's physical strength is a big plus in Sachirou's book (a little manhandling won't hurt anyone ☝️). Sachirou likes tracing Kourai's back muscles when they're being lazy/relaxing.

On the topic of Kourai's strength, he's able to carry Sachirou for a pretty impressive amount of time and has carried him to bed/the couch before when he fell asleep at his desk.

They definitely get a dog at some point in time, maybe after Kourai retires so they can take proper care of it. Sachirou is very happy about it to say the least

They have some rough patches. This happens when they're long-distance/don't see each other for long periods of time but also sometimes when they're back together in the same apartment. Sachirou gets a lot worse before he gets better, I'd think (vet school is hell). Ultimately, it makes them stronger, but it costs them scar issue and a lot of tears.

In the beginning of the relationship: Kourai does borrow Sachirou's clothes, but veeery rarely, as a little treat (he likes being a tease, let him be). Sachirou doesn't really admit it out loud but he likes seeing Kourai in them (he's flustered to high hell).

Later on in the relationship: Sachirou is holding onto the last of his clothes still in his closet, as Kourai claims ownership of most of them. They bicker about it:

Sachirou: Can you give me some of my clothes back, please? I can't go get groceries without a hoodie. Kourai: Tough luck, I'm wearing your hoodie right now. Get more uncomfortable clothes if you don't want me wearing them.

Kourai returns the clothes as soon as they stop smelling like Sachirou. He makes up an excuse for why ("I felt like being nice today") but that's his actual reason.

Sachirou wears sweaters and hoodies almost religiously so seeing Sachirou wear nothing/a tight shirt gives Kourai heart palpitations (in a gay way ofc).

Kourai actually has a pretty shitty immune system. When he gets a cold he recovers quickly but Sachirou uses the opportunity to spoil Kourai as well for once. Kourai can get flustered when being pampered which makes it all the more worth it.

Sachirou can grow a beard/stubble. Kourai will make him shave it (Either he can't handle it for gay reasons or doesn't like the feeling when kissing (he might eventually grow fond of it).

Out of the two, Kourai is definitely the better cook. Sachirou made it a habit during vet school to not eat properly either, so Kourai ended up feeding him proper food for a few weeks until he recovered enough energy to try doing it himself.

Sachirou has a caffeine addiction for a hot minute, he cannot function without it during vet school and the habit of drinking one every morning never really leaves. Kourai doesn't really like the taste and it leads to Sachirou giving him kisses just after drinking some to giggle at Kourai's disgruntled face.

Sachirou started smoking too at some point, Kourai helped him quit, maybe? (moreso forced him but yeah /nsrs) Or they got to an agreement of him limiting himself to a certain amount if he couldn't quit.

Kourai is kind of a lightweight (there's only so much alcohol tolerance you can build and he's still mass-wise on the small side) and he gets really giggly and sappy when drunk. Sachirou isn't one to attend parties but he has picked Kourai up more often than not to get him home safely. Kourai ended up clinging to him and showering him in kisses.

They both actually need glasses post-timeskip, Kourai just wears contact lenses usually (If his eyes get too irritated while wearing them he has backup glasses, they have a thick, translucent frame!).

Inspired by my unusual talents post, they verbal stim at each other when bored.

Kourai has bitten Sachirou just out of affection before (in the bedroom biting is a very common thing. Both like claiming 'ownership' in that way).

Both of them read sometimes when they have free time and nothing else to do (which is pretty rare before Kourai retires).

Sachirou has a scary high pain tolerance. He doesn't even flinch disinfecting scratches and bites from his work (or cuts, too). In comparison, Kourai also has a rather high tolerance and doesn't necessarily make a fuss when hurt, though he definitely curses a ton when something hurts. This includes damning the hell out of their furniture when he bumps into it.

They still visit their 'spot' well into adulthood, separately and together. Kourai found Sachirou there after what was most likely their worst argument ever.

Based on something I draw in my art frequently: They have a friendship/bond bracelet. It was originally a joke, they saw them for cheap in some trinket shop and got them while still in high school. Both of them ended up much more attached to them than intended and kept them.

ohhh i have Lots of things i associate to them … byproduct of the neverending rotation of them in my brain i fear .

in terms of songs it is . hard to summarize because i do have a lottttttt of songs i think are them but i believe [one of] the most soulwhole songs of all time is hunger & thirst by typhoon . i think about the lyric [i sing a song til i get it right] in relation to them a deeply abnormal amount . & it is honestly harder to narrow one down for whole specifically but ive always felt that i listened by apes of the state was quite himcoded ? the rambly nature of it just Feels like him it feels like the exact confession he would make

for animals iiii mostly think a lot about soul with various prey animal imagery ? yellow acacia is an assignment i am far far more confident in, the symbolism all just aligns too well . mainly concealed love which relates to the love interest situation sure but To Me is more indicative of how he feels toward himself . he is so wracked with self hatred but it's undeniable that he cares for hms . of course he does. i think he tries to mentally disconnect himself from them pretty aggressively & block off the knowledge that they truly are just him because he can't stand the idea that he has anything good in him. other symbolism includes renewal & fortitude & retirement which require Far less explanation i think . thisone is also native to australia which is kinda cute :-]

dame's rockets . honestly of my hmsw flower assignments i do think this is the weakest one i need to find something better for him . but as it stands i picked it out because it notably has a lottttt of different names which ithink can connect to soul's entire situation as relating to identity . similarly it is rather abrasively nicknamed the flower of deceit which . Gestures At Soul . i write that guy to lie constantlyyyy i do think he makes efforts to be scary in the hopes that heart & mind will listen to him i do think there are facades happening there I HAVE A FIC ABOUT THIS !!! sigh. it's also a bit more rarely known for devotion

if possible could you explain Language of the Lost being on the Eclipse Au playlist???? I understand most of the vocaloid songs (which are all amazing picks btw, your tastes are wonderful) but that one kinda confuses me???? ...Which is probably because I don't know the source material & only your aus lol /genq /lh

OK this one's a little complicated to explain but I'll try my best.

So in general I see it as a song about like Wukongs loss of self in some sense. Wukong was trapped for so long with his memories having gotten proper messed up that he began to sort of question himself and what about him is still him and what was destroyed by the scroll. A lot of the song makes me think that it would like if it was an animatic have a bunch of flashbacks in there with a lot of the lyrics referencing small things about wukongs entrapment like the "calling out for somebody knowing I'll get no reply"

Theres also some lines that made me add it to the playlist like: "scary things i can’t recall"- referring to the memories he can't recall properly anymore. "i thought that i was safe now i’ll never be the same tossed aside for making a scene"- thought he was safe in the sense that he couldn't die but clearly he learned that isn't the case thanks to their fight (caused partially by him getting angry at Macaque under the mountain)

And than lastly the final part of lyrics is just *chefs kiss*

Character Analysis: The Boogieman (RGB)

This post will hopefully be the start of many focusing (or I guess hyperfocusing) on my favorite characters in media (books, movies, cartoons, etc.). Since this is primarily a The Real Ghostbusters blog, it makes sense to start with the Monster in the Closet himself: the Boogieman (or Boogeyman). For this post, I will give a quick syponsis of who the Boogieman from RGB is, a slight tagnet on his design, the real life folklore behind the boogeyman, and talking about only his episodes but other media he has appeared in.

(This is part 1, part 2 talking about the comics and other stuff will be out soon in a couple of days.)

Syponsis

The Boogeyman is one of the many villains to be created for 1986's The Real Ghostbusters cartoon. Not much is known (as of now) about the creation process aside from a sketch of an early design:

Some elements of this early design still translated into his final one such as the lower body of a goat, his enormous height, and his iconic tailcoat. But there are many differences as well such as the early design having a more rounded body shape, his ears being more smaller, having a unicorn? horn on top of his head and some sort of tail. Despite the fact this design was not the one the show ended up using, I think it's interesting that the artists always had the idea of their version of the Boogieman being a mismatch of different ideas all combined into one like a chimera.

Design

The Boogeyman throughout fictional media has had many designs, mostly due to the fact that people have different artistic interpretations of what the embodiment of fear would look like. The staff who worked on RGB (I guess) all went in one room and decided to think of whatever wacky/scary things they could think of and stick it onto a monster/lh

But seriously, this has to be one of my favorite villain designs right now. There's so much I have to say about it, but I don't want to meet the dreaded Tumblr word limit so I'm going to highlight some stuff I find interesting about it.

He looks like the Joker - Yes, I know everyone from Ghostbusters fans to Batman fans have pointed this out many, many times. But what's interesting to me is that The Boogieman Cometh was around the time of the Bronze Age of Comic Books (which was the time when comic books went back to their roots of being more mature and willing to show certain topics deemed inappropriate). It was also during this time Batman along with his rogue gallery were becoming more darker and edgier; this includes of course the Joker going from the Silver prankster/Cesar Romero from Batman 66 to the homicidal, 'will kill you just for laughs' criminal mastermind we all know him for today. Them lookin similar is probably a coincidence, but I still find it interesting.

He's techinally a satyr - In Greek mythology, satyrs are woodland spirits who have the physical appearance of half-man and half-goat. It wasn't always like that as they were more half-man/half-horse but later on they gain more goat features such as horns. Boogie shares many similarties to satyrs in behaviour as they're both mischievous, bestial creatures. The only thing that isn't really prevalent with Boogie is the satyrs' well known ranchy behaviour like their high liblio and their obsession with chasing down nymphs, but I guess you can say that Boogie's obssession with consuming fear is similar to that I guess???. Also the Greek god Pan, who the satyrs accompany, has a story where he terrifed humans and the Titans into a state of panic and running away with his scream, similar to how Boogie being a feared being and having a sonic scream that sends people back.

His tailcoat - The fact that he wears clothing at all, the fact that he doesn't even bother to button it up, the fact that he has a cute purple bowtie to boot, the fact that the tails themselves are freakishly long, etc, etc.

Folklore about the Boogieman

According to Merriam-Webster, the Bogeyman is:

1: a monstrous imaginary figure used in threatening children

2: a terrifying or dreaded person or thing : bugbear

And according to Etymonline, the bogey or boogey probably derives from words like bog/bogge (dialect variant of the Middle English word bugge), boggart (1570), and bogle (Scottish word attested from the 1500s and popularized in the 1800s)

The Boogeyman were used by parents for centuries to scare and threaten their children into correct behaviour. He would hide in closets, underneath the bed, or in the closet, waiting in the night to punish the child/children in the night. Some stories claimed that he would play annoying yet non violent pranks on his victims, while other stories goes as far in showing him kidnapping, killing, or even eating children. There's so much out there about the Boogeyman and the many variants of this type of creature in different cultures, but I haven't found any folklore book that talks about this topic as a whole. Thankfully, there is the Folklore and Mythology Electronic Texts editied and translated by D.L Ashliman that caterogizes many folklore and mythology stories based on its main trope, which include tales of Boogeyman-like creatures. It's very Eurocentric and doesnt dive deep into other cultures' monsters that possess Boogeyman-like traits, but I still recommend the article and internet library as a whole.

Analysis Time :D

The Boogieman Cometh

The title is probably a reference to the play The Iceman Cometh which got its name from a quote in Mathew 25:6, "And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him." The quote is from the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins, a story about ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom with five foolish virgins brought lamps but no extra oil, while five wise virgins brought extra oil to fuel their lanterns. How does this all relates back to the episode's name? I guess because the play has the Iceman symbolize death instead of salvation for the characters, Boogie being the monster scaring the Carter children could also symbolize the worst case scenario that Egon doesn't want to happen as it would be facing his trauma. Then again, the ______ man Cometh is a very threatening title for a story, so maybe I'm just reading into it (like the rest of this analysis/lh)

I love that there's buildup before he shows up from Egon's reaction to the Ghostbusters searching for him only to find nothing at first, its good.

OH MY GOODNESS HIS INTRODUCTION, IT'S SOOOOO GOOD

The imagery of Boogie appearing in Egon's glasses is amazing and I'm so glad that his second episode did it again.

The smirk that Egon gives him when they have him cornered, only for Boogie to smirk and send all of them flying back with his scream uggh I hate them/lh

Also I like the small detail of Boogie closing the closet door when he's escaping. Instead of him gripping the door knob, he uses his talons to pinch the knob and then close the door.

Dude really came back again to the Carter household to scare the siblings and was like "Well, that's not very nice of you."

Also that scene's the only time the animators made him button up his waistcoat. Idk I just find that funny.

Him calling Ray "a rather large toddler" will never stop being funny. I've seen reviews of this episode saying that Boogie needed to get his eyes checked, but I think the joke was supposed to be him realizing it's Ray and basically insulting him.

Thoughout this episode, Boogie's solution to dealing with the Ghostbusters is throwing random furniture and hoping they get hit by it/j

I need to take this moment to praise the ever living crap out of Frank Welker because HE'S SO GOOD. I love the animalistic growls and weird moaning (please don't take me out of context plz) noises Boogie makes, showing how bestial he is despite of him being intelligent.

He may have short goat feet, but boy are they fast/lh

I love the use of the "You and what army?" trope phrase in this because instead it's Peter saying "Yeah, you and what Starfleet?". Which on one hand, yay a Star Trek reference that I can get without watching 1,000 hours of content, but also yeah Egon probably needs a whole USS Enterprise to deal with him.

I think the reason why Boogey didn't immediately destory Egon was because he wanted to have fun with his prey before anything else. I'm saying this cause I don't want to face the true that Boogie was being too cooky/in the moment/j

HOLY SHIT THE CARTER CHILDREN ROASTED HIS ASS LETS GO!

Me seeing Boogie tripping on a bunch of marbles: Oh my god, he's so pathetic I love him more/j

Also when he lands on his butt after falling, it sends him flying before dangling off the bridge??? Dude's ass is flat like cardboard/j

Him going "HUH?!?" is funny.

I LOVE LOVE THE LAST SCENE. For once and I guess the last time if I'm correct, we see him truly caught off guard and afraid. I also love that it shows him running at the bomb. I've seen this type of scene many times in fiction where someone goes back into a place despite how dangerous it is for them and so many times I've seen people complaining "Wow! They're so stupid! Why go back?" and its like.... the story clearly shows them going back, because something or someone of value was still in the building and clearly those characters that do go back are either not in the right mindspace and/or flight-or-fight response going haywired. Which is what I think happen to Boogie, as he was finally realizing what the Ghostbusters were doing (blowing up his home) and not thinking straight, ran to the bomb. Also the scene, in the way it's set up, makes it look like the Boogieman was fucking massacred. I saw someone in Reddit who questioned why Boogie was being included in Spirits Unleashed because THEY THOUGHT HE DIED IN HIS FIRST EPISODE! While I'm glad that he was killed off, they could have easily done and I would have respected them cause the scene is that good.

The Bogeyman Is Back

GOAT BOI IS BACK. And he sorta has a new design, though it's more like a revamped design, but I still love it.

I love how you don't see Boogie at all during his intro scenes. First, it's POV shots, then as he's walking from one door to another you have a blink and you'll miss it glimpse of him in the mirror, then there's the shadow of him monologing while holding up the grand piano, then a shot when he turns his head, then the back of him when he removes the slime off of the wall, and finally the scene of him being reflected in Egon's glasses (like TBC) athough he's in the shadows.

Him trying to open this one door only for the knob to be violently ripped out was so funny that I put it in my fanfic (shameless plug: https://www.tumblr.com/tylwer34567/775500744009957376/chapter-two-of-springs-first-meetings-is-out?source=share)

Still miffed that he destroyed his piano. GIVE HIM A MUSICAL NUMBER, GHOSTCORP (preferably with Samhain)

Also I've already talked about this, but there's similarites between Egon and Boogie's dynamic with that of the hunter and vampire in the old movie Egon watched in this episode (shameless plug #2: https://www.tumblr.com/tylwer34567/772763623894450176/just-had-another-thought-that-changing-boogey-from?source=share)

One thing I noticed was Boogie's eyes. Sometimes, the red pupils would have a shiny white dot and its usualy happens when he's consuming fear/or in an proximity of large amounts of fear

Also he drools, a lot. Like people who haven't watch the show, I'm serious he drools like a dog in this (probably cause he's hangry/lh)

This episode is the first time Boogie says Egon's name (two times in fact) and I wish he didnt because it sounds like actual moaning and I feel unclean

He's such a troll. He doesnt try to kill Egon and instead goes Boo! And instead of harming the dog on the rooftop, he just...creepily groans at it??

The way he does his scream makes him look like a brat who just got told no by their parents.

The face Boogie makes when he's rubbing his hands after turning the amusement park into his realm gives me Spongebob and the Strangler vibes "Hm, yes, excellent~" (I need to make an edit of that)

Him jumpscaring Peter by being the gargoyle knob actually gave me a heart attack. I didn't exspected it.

If there's one thing that I don't like about this episode (there's alot I don't think), it's that techinally thanks to the Junior Ghostbusters, Boogie gets trapped and defeated. I don't know how to explain it, but I much prefer how the first episode dealt with it. Also Janine was robbed of beating up Boogie

I kinda feel bad for Boogie since his entire body is turning (against his will) into incorporeal and it's clearly causing him much pain. But then, I remember all the stuff he did and I go "Oh yeah, burn the bitch."/j

Bye Boogie, see you never in animation cause you never showed up in Extreme Ghostbusters goddamnint/lh
