I completed my mallet from the other day, got it glued up a couple days back and then turned the handle this afternoon. It ended up being a bit bigger than it really has any reason to be. I'll likely end up making a smaller version sometime in the future
It's a hard maple head with an oak handle.
Decided to put a single coat of shellac on, it really makes the grain stand out.

lucanis truly has a near terminal case of burned out golden child syndrome. caterina fucked both of these kids over so incredibly bad with the dynamic she enforced there, with illario being labled the perpetual fuckup kid where lucanis 'could do no (would never be allowed to do) wrong'. the way he admits in the first coffee date scene that the only thing that happened when he showed he could carry the weight of expectation was that more weight was added makes me so sad. you can hear it in caterina's voice in his intro mission that she's incredibly proud of him, but this is clearly a leandra and hawke situation where that pride never translates into relief or resolution or unconditional warmth or understanding or anything that really helps.

Grace's Performance Mod Recommendation List
I recommend reading descriptions for all mods downloaded to understand what they do in order to resolve any bugs that may arise. QblrSMP utilizes every mod listed here. Most of the trick to making performance mods work so well is that I manually edit a lot of config settings to gear them more toward how the given server is played.
SERVERSIDE ONLY https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/spawn-balance-utility - Requires heavy editing using configs + spreadsheets. changes biome spawn. necessary for any modpacks with heavy mobspawn. https://modrinth.com/plugin/lmd https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/clumps https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/chunky-pregenerator-forge - this pregenerates the world. most of Qblr's good performance is from me pregenerating. It's only really worth it if you're playing a server with a consistent 15+ people online daily and you don't use more than the vanilla dimensions, as each dimension must be loaded individually. Also the admin must install clientside to use it in game.

I have a few takes that I don’t think anyone is ready for but it needs to be said because this fandom is honestly a hivemind who can’t take opinions different from the “accepted” opinions.
• Hatred of jonelias is rooted in homophobia. “It’s sexualisation!” why do you think 2 men dating is inherently sexual? 🤨 You guys treat jonelias as worse than murder, I swear. Just block tags if it makes you uncomfortable.
• It’s not lesphobic or misogynistic to prefer jmart. THEY ARE THE MAIN CHARACTERS. People are naturally going to prefer the main characters. I’m saying this as a lesbian, seriously guys calm tf down. I’m taking away “lesphobia” until we learn what it actually is.
• Daisy and Melanie (and Basira?) are not the “mean lesbian” stereotype. They’re not even canonically lesbians. Yes they’re implied to be sapphic but nowhere in the source material does it say they’re lesbians. They could be bi for all we know.
• Jonny Sims said in a stream that Jon isn’t canonically sex repulsed, nor is he canonically not sex repulsed. He’s whatever you want him to be. If sexualising Jon makes you uncomfortable, once again just block tags. It’s really not that hard. (I’m asexual btw.)

My Sims 3 Urbz (GBA/DS) Sims
Well, Urbz + like 3 other random sims from other handheld games.
i don't usually play TS3, but since i am actually considering dropping ts4 for it... i wanted another go! and to see what I already did in this game ages ago.
I don't know when most of these were made. At least 2 years ago. I didn't touch them from then (so, they are of... varying qualities. + i probably changed some defaults at some point, so their skin color is... probably also different from what i originally chose), and they don't use any CC outside of defaults nor store content. (I THINK...)
since there's a lot (41 of them), I'll be splitting them across two posts! This one, with 20, and the other one here with 21!

#ts3#i think the reason why i spend the least amount of time in this game is because of the difficulty of making your own worlds#in ts4 it's very easy to curate your save files... even if you're restricted to its ass vanilla worlds#ts2 has the tools to make your neighborhood completely within the vanilla game#you can even compartmentalize different neighborhoods so that many different Sims can be in the same save! (ex. Uberhoods)#i do know how to use CAW... but there is genuinely So much work that goes into making worlds for this game#and you can't just edit EA's worlds! you gotta make your whole world from scratch!#that being said... i did dabble in a ts3 miniopolis before even ever working on ts2. i'll probably show what i have sometime soon c:#sims handhelds#urbz#urbz handheld#tsq#simscas

On Wednesday before I gave my presentation I confessed to a new employee that I was worried it would be too long and she brightly told me her life hack was to just let AI rewrite things for her. She said I should put in all my talking points and ask ChatGPT to give me a five minute exactly presentation. I was like....how is the most polite possible way (since this is a new colleague I shouldn't get off on the wrong foot with) that I can express that I will Not be taking this advice. Ever. I told her that I didn't think we were allowed to use ChatGPT at this job (we most certainly are not, it is a nightmare for any type of protected information) and also that I prefer to write all of my own work. Despite my best efforts the last part of that was still passive aggressive, lol.
Something about being a writer makes it so that it's almost offensive to me for someone to suggest I use AI to do my work instead? Like, the day I reach the point where I let AI write something for me is the day y'all need to be checking me for brain damage because clearly I'm losing it

Fuck I hate being an adult. I need a more adult adult to help with the volatile emotional situation.
#I've sort of made a new friend? Like we met at the same art group and he's also trans which was like pleasantly surprising in our small town#but like. We have Differences Of Opinion#and it's not totally his fault because it sounds like he's had a Lot of bad shit in his past that's obviously made him wary and closed off#but like. He's slightly older than me (only 4 years) and keeps blaming a load of his problems on other trans folks?#like you know the type. The like 'all these nonbinary/other identities the kids are doing are complicating shit'#the 'it hurts to see people younger than me inc. kids get hormones thrown at them when I still can't get 'em' (which... yeah not even true)#and he's told me himself he doesn't engage much with the queer community bc it's too 'toxic'#and like. I can absolutely understand why he could've had some bad experiences esp. since he has some mental health shit going on#but he wants to be friends bc he doesn't know anyone else going through the medical shit and it's like. Yeah no shit you don't?#you decided the community you'd find them in is toxic? and that people in them are doing being trans wrong?#and I think if he was just some guy online I'd like roll my eyes and ignore him#but he's a real person in my vicinity and I feel fucking bad for him#and I can see how much self loathing he has and how much that probably informs the bullshit#like he told me he thinks that trans men and cis men are fundamentally different categories and trans men will never be cis men#but not in a 'the experiences are just different and come with different perspectives way'#in like a self defeating way. #this is normal behaviour but i get SO pissed off when it's an oc i make for a fic#bc i only ever make fic ocs when their sole purpose is to symbolise something and/or move the plot#like believe it or not i really do try not to have ocs unless it's specifically for the greater good of the fic#so it's like. you are an object to me. you are a tool.
