would like to think that edgeworth’s cravat/jabot/frilly white thing has the perry the platypus effect. like he can go to steel samurai conventions without anyone going “hey isn’t that the guy who tried to prosecute will powers?” just cause of course it isn’t that guy! that guy was an entirely seperate human being who doesn’t have a neck! THIS is a different one

and then at some point he’s probably accused of another murder or some shit and edgeworth is resigned to hanging - not because he did it or because the defence job was too hard, but because he knows full well that his only alibi is buying merch at a steel samurai convention and there is no world in which he’d confess that to the court. however, phoenix gets his grimy little hands on the security tape footage and, having SEEN edgeworth’s neck for reasons i think we all know, he presents it triumphantly to save edgeworth’s life…

and then the judge penalises him and tells him to stop presenting irrelevant evidence and he goes ???? and he zooms in on edgeworth in the footage and the whole court is still going nah lol stop being an idiot

so phoenix wright, ace attorney and dropout art student, prints out a screenshot (the entire court accompanies him to the printer to make sure he’s not tampering with evidence. they all stand crammed into a room and staring at this ancient printer as it slowly chugs along. the judge sits on top of the printer so he can be taller than them) and draws three white lines on the edgeworth image. this is intended to be the start of the drawing but suddenly the entire court gasps and shrieks and falls off their chairs / printers in shock because THAT’S THE DEFENDANT RIGHT THERE HOLY SHIT

and edgeworth is just fuming over on his bench and turning beet red and hoping to be framed of another murder so he can die right about now

thanks!!! i too have been iris of hazakura temple-brained recently. shes utterly captivating as a character, so i was shocked when i realized i had NEVER drawn her before. that problem has now been resolved!!

i keep drawing all the characters i get for asks on coffee dates, but i cant help it if the outfits are all perfect for it ^_^

Shyly, she opened the door, the heavy oaken frame creaking on old hinges, revealing the outside world and the cool morning mist shimmering with shafts of gold now as the sun peered over the mountainside.

And looming over the eaves like a gargoyle, his talons gripping the very edge with a gentleness that belied their bestial appearance, was the nixa. His formidable form dappled with the crystalline tears of morning dew that shimmered like diamonds in the sunlight, making him almost appear to glow in a halo of holy light. Some of the droplets collected and dripped down in a shower of stars, streaking across his hide in a tantalizing display.

Juniper stood, dainty and starstruck beneath his smoldering regard, her heart leaping into her throat as he smiled in such quiet affection, the wooden supports creaking as he slithered off the roof to approach.

“You’re really here,” she exclaimed breathlessly, stepping away from the door and lifting a hand to reach for him—but hesitated at the last second. Uncertain.

A low, pleased purr was all the answer she received before he caught her hand, gentle as he led her closer. “Yes, I am,” he said, pressing his lush lips to her knuckles, his unearthly eyes shimmering like ghost fire beneath his lashes, “Did you think I would leave?”

For what little it might be worth to her now.

“I’m… so sorry,” Ozpin says at last. Not yet half a year gone by since the massacre, and he cannot fathom the violence it has done to her soul to be swept so immediately into this furious controversy. “Both for the losses you have suffered and that I could not do more to shield you from—that.”

He makes a feeble gesture toward the guildhouse, the words hollow for knowing that it isn’t over; there is still the police investigation, the council’s inquiry at Beacon, the punishing court of public opinion.

“…None of it is your fault,” he adds. “People often try to comfort themselves in the wake of tragedy by finding someone to blame; it’s frightening to admit that terrible things can happen for no reason.” Or for reasons more horrifying than anyone partaking in this firestorm could imagine. “It has nothing to do with you, and everything to do with the fears of the public.” A pause. “If there is anything more I can do to help…”

Made a new playlist with over 3000 songs (yeah I’m amazed too. A lot of them are dupes though I know there are many versions of The Black Parade (album) on there). I have some stuff to say about it

I want to make some kind of funny comment about how you can get the cheerfulness of some really fun band on here (probably TØP or Anthrax) followed by the gloom of another band (probably Slayer or Black Sabbath) but the thing is I think all the bands on the playlist have at least a few songs about dispair - MCR have an entire album about dying of cancer, P!atD have Don’t Let The Light Go Out, FOB have Novocaine (because I can’t think of anything darker), TØP have many songs about despair, Metallica have an entire album about death, Megadeth have quite a few songs about death, Anthrax have Black Lodge, Slayer are just known for that tone, Judas Priest have an entire album about how the government sucks (also apparently Brain Dead is really dark but unfortunately the albums by the band with that singer aren’t on Apple Music so I don’t know how it goes. I did try to look for it one time with the knowledge there was a Judas Priest song about locked in syndrome and I found Locked In. That’s actually how I warmed up to Locked In. I also wanted to listen to those two albums for the first time alongside listening to the albums by Iron Maiden with a different singer (I believe that was Blaze) but I couldn’t find the Judas Priest albums so I never got around to it. I did today listen to Futureal for the first time and it’s a great song), Iron Maiden have some darker songs I guess Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter’s a good example and Black Sabbath have quite a few songs as well with a darker tone so yeah. If anything I’d say the biggest contrast in tone is going from an Anthrax song to a Slayer song but I wanted to make the joke about two bands I hadn’t put together on a playlist before. I guess it would be funny if after Planetary ended I got God Is Dead though

One of the earliest songs I listened to on this listen of some of the playlist was Novocaine. Anyway, little while later The Phoenix came on and I could see it was The Phoenix. I seemed to have the vague thought it was the FOB song I thought was more well-known than it probably actually is (I was thinking of Centuries) and multiple times (I think it was a few more than four times) I wanted to sing the lyrics to Novocaine instead of The Phoenix including believing the “na na na na na” stuff at the beginning of Novocaine was in The Phoenix. I swear I know The Phoenix well

I also got Planetary fairly early and was for some reason convinced I didn’t have a song I associated with the Proto Beasts to match how I associate Planetary with the Neo Swords (comparing it to Skin O’ My Teeth, another song I associate with the Neo Swords without having a Proto Beast “counterpart”). The next time an MCR song turned up it was Destroya which is exactly the Proto Beast “counterpart” to Planetary I forgot existed. A better example of a second song I associate with the Neo Swords without having a Proto Beast “counterpart” is Electric Eye. Technically I associate The Hellion with both trios but if I know Electric Eye is immediately afterwards I can associate it with just the Neo Swords (I actually had to take a break from making this post because Skin O’ My Teeth turned up and the next song I didn’t skip was Black Curtains which I associate with the Proto Beasts so I just got immediately back up again. Next was New World Order which I associate with both trios but I couldn’t be bothered to get back up again)

Fittingly the first song that I got was Sugar We’re Going Down (first FOB song I listened to) and as I’m writing this part I’m listening to I Write Sins Not Tragedies, the song I used in order to get into P!atD at the same time

I feel like I’m not getting many FOB, TØP of Slayer songs but Slayer definitely doesn’t surprise me. If anything, I’m surprised I listened to one (yes, just one - Expendable Youth). And I think I’ve had about one P!atD song

So I’ve decided to start writing my own isekai-inspired story. I don’t know if it will see the light of day anytime soon, but I’ve already drawn some character designs for it.

It’s working title is ‘Fox Knight’ and features five individuals being sent to a magical world to help deal with an impending magic crisis among other issues.

They represent the five Chinese elements and are seen as the incarnations of gods in the magical world.

In the RPG they play, no one character is fully human. There are human NPCs and certain characters can disguise themselves as humans.

Wood- Hiroshi, a kitsune/wood elf hybrid. Is actually a 40-something year old man who retired from nursing due to chronic illness.

Fire- Ayame, a phoenix/swan maiden hybrid. A 60-something year old woman and former ballerina. Is married to Takeshi. She winds up in the body of a child.

Earth- Arianna, a Huldra and cat hybrid. Is actually a ten year old girl that was virtually adopted by Ayame and Takeshi. Her father is one of the game developers. She wakes up in the body of a grown woman.

Metal- Zero, a steel dragon and light elf hybrid. He is a MegaMan fan and an SCA brat, is also 40-something and friends with Hiroshi.

Water- Takeshi, a satyr and mermaid hybrid, essentially a Capricorn. A 60-something year old man who loves his wife very much. He was a swimming athlete.

All five of them were involved in an initiative to introduce cripples to Virtual Reality Chairs.

Some of those chairs malfunctioned after several years on the market, which is how these five end up in the magical world

this is a triptych of sorts exploring grief and the waywardness of the transition between youth and adulthood. ‘the maiden’ is a breathtaking ode to late southern alberta summers and the city of calgary while making you sit quietly with your sadness and feelings towards growing up. teenage years are some of the most tender and tumultuous and the director does a wonderful job of portraying different types of youth found in your average southern alberta highschool.

His brow rose. “Considered?”

“What you would want… Your desires,” she said miserably, trying to twist away but was unable to when the nixa’s grip tightened. “I was selfish and greedy and—and—” She gasped as he yanked her into him, her body quickly conforming to his shape on contact as if it had memorized every dip and curve.

He rumbled at the contact, looking immensely content with his place right now as his arms crushed her to his muscular frame, his eyes half-lidded and smoldering into her own with such an intensity that she momentarily forgot to breathe. “Have you perhaps considered, sweet thing,” he murmured against her lips temptingly, “In your many and varied calculations that I derive pleasure from whatever my partner enjoys?”

Dizzy with his proximity and the electrifying sensation of his touch, Juniper couldn’t articulate her thoughts. “I… I…”

Gently, he plucked at a locket of her mussed hair and tenderly tucked it behind her ear, his thumb tracing the curve of her cheekbone. “Or that I am as much to blame, if not moreso, for our lovemaking?”

Juniper licked her suddenly dry lips, shivering in intoxicating waves as that little motion was just enough to barely brush the delectable swell of his bottom lip, a static charge zipping through her blood from the barest touch. A gasp swelled her chest at the same moment something warm pooled in her nethers, her cheeks flushing a violent rouge when the nixa growled deep and guttural. Possessive as he squeezed her tightly once again, his large hand molding to her derriere like it belonged there, drawing her pelvis maddeningly close.

It occurred to Juniper, in that very moment, that she was awfully naked beneath the flimsy covering of her slip and that perhaps she should be alarmed about that.

But another, more primal side was far too preoccupied with the idea of caressing his lips with her own, their breaths intermingling in heated debate as they stood upon the edge of something deeply profound.

al haitham, surprisingly, actually humors you. only because he knows you were teasing him and this is his way of teasing you back, but you’ll probably end up staring at him in confusion because he looks dead serious while doing so. “what an interesting offer. i’ll have to ask you to submit a formal proposal through your special submission channel. make sure you have several backup plans in case of emergencies. have it on my desk by tomorrow afternoon, the latest.”

wriothesley straight up denies you with a roll of his eyes. he knows you’re joking, and honestly speaking he would stain his hands with blood for you, but as much as he loves you, he really didn’t want you to end up at the fortress while under a sentence. although theoretically he could pull some strings to make sure you spent your sentence peacefully if that scenario ever happened, the fact was that such records will follow you for the rest of your life, and he wants you to stay in the sunlight. “what did i always tell you? don’t break the law... but if you really want to, how about you try to steal my breath away with a kiss?”

neuvillette stops writing his reports immediately, eyes wide and mouth slightly open. “my dear, come sit, let us converse.” he holds your hand and proceeds to rope you into a heart-to-heart talk. are you being harassed by someone? are you being threatened? the cup of water rippled erratically as he waited for you to answer those particular questions. is there something he could do to help that wouldn’t make either of you getting dragged into a court trial? can he— …. yeah, someone save him, he totally thinks that you’re serious.

childe agrees immediately. is that even a question? “sure! who do you need me to kill?” he asks, with his signature wide boyish grin plastered onto his face and his hand twitching to reach for his hydro blade. look. it’s your ajax. your (man)childe. your tartaglia. i bet you liked his murderous tendencies anyway. are you even surprised?

kaeya makes it a point to gasp and looking like a maiden who caught the sight of two lovers rendezvousing in the garden. when he notices you not buying his act, however, he laughs and switches gear into a teasing smile, “oh? was me stealing your heart not enough?”

diluc stares at you blankly, one eyebrow raised, his voice monotonous — if you hadn’t known how to read his minuscule reactions, you would have missed the spark of mirth dancing in his eyes; a trace of the young ‘luc buried deep inside the scarred heart of a charred phoenix, “…. hmph. did kaeya put you up to this?”

tighnari hums nonchalantly and gives you a knowing smirk, his tail swishing mischievously behind him, “perfect. i do have a rare specimen i’d like to plant. i’m sure it’ll benefit well from the nutrients it’ll absorb from your victim. so, where did you put the body?”
