#thank you!!#back when nickelodeon had their own gaming website i played this a lot#i was a kid who didnt have money so i just played the free trial over and over#this game unsettled me a bit because the icarly cast gets stuck in a computer and you play as spencer trying to get them out#so like. you play through their empty apartment and spencer is the only one voiced in the game#something about that just made it feel a little offsetting but i was addicted#one of my early exposures to hidden object

Fan made a concept of mine since I am quite aware that Dark Parables' developers didn't make any sequels anymore since 2019.
I have read a Puss and Boots book by Ladybird 'Easy Reading' book when I was a kid. Of course, the original author of the story was Charles Perrault. The memories regarding the details of the said book that I have read were fuzzy. But I will try to find that book soon since it belonged to my late uncle, who passed away due to COVID.
Here is a fan made concept art of a loading screen of a possible fairy tale that hasn't been touched by Blue Tea. I know most of you here probably compare this to Puss and Boots by DreamWorks. But I retain him as a tabby cat, I only alter his Cavalier hat a bit and make Puss's design as a real cat since ya' know the games portray realistic renditions (with established art-style) of people and animals than cartoony.
Here is a SpeedPaint from IbisPaint to prove that I have done it by hands digitally.
Btw I recently recorded Dark Parables 1-7 for my gaming channel and I am a half way to go lol and then I can edit them one by one and upload it on YouTube soon XDD.

Love this! I once found the man eating wreath from the nightmare before christmas in a hidden object game!
It always surprises me and makes me laugh when I play hidden object games and find these little Easter eggs in these scenes.
(The first photo is from âHaunted Halls: Nightmare Dwellersâ, and the other two are from âForgotten Places: Lost Circusâ.)

Do you like your hopas more cheesy or more serious? Personally I think a certain level of cheesiness really adds to the enjoyment of playing. I love a touch of awkwardness in the story and the voice acting
I've had my share of playing cheesy hidden object games, and they're a fun way to pass the time with and enjoy the genre! But if I'm looking for a more involved experience, I try playing the serious ones that have a decent plot + characters.
So I guess it depends on the mood I'm in! My fav HOPA games tend to be serious but the awkward ones are fun to play every now and then!
#ask#anonymous#hidden object#hidden object game#of course if im gonna spend over 15 bucks for a game ill want a serious well made one

I have a draft detailing my speculations on the closed off/non-shown rooms in Brink of Consciousness: Dorian Gray Syndrome, but since I finished the game on all my saves, I can't access the points to get reference screenshots. So now I gotta replay this game for the 20th time. :) !
#seeing a review speculating that a closed off door is likely oscar's embalming room got my mind SPINNING#is it the same one we see sam in at the end of the game?#it is incredibly fascinating to me that a hidden object game would go out of its way to show inaccessible/boarded up doors#and never elaborate on them#like they didn't NEED to do that but they purposefully DID!#why? what's behind there?#i think it adds to how oscar eludes the player i.e. sam in many ways#god i love this game

Shout out to Characters who are shells of their former selves! You died and youâre not coming back! You donât recognize yourself and neither does anyone else, and itâs anyoneâs guess what the fuck youâre supposed to be now!

Hidden Object Games have rather intense plots even though they are low budget mashups of ISpy books and puzzle games. You could be looking for teacups and snowflakes in a pile of clutter while a demon is about to escape from hell or you could be doing a rotating puzzle while a man fights for his life against a huge fish monster. And then there's the fact that every single lock needs a medallion or some special key or a solved puzzle to open. You can't even open a drawer without a full tea set. Also, a portion of the protagonists at detectives, probably because detectives naturally solve puzzles and is a gender-neutral title.
