Merlin’s huge issue is his inability to make proper bonds with people.  It is due to his nature as a cambion that makes him seem disconnected from the humanity he’s sworn to protect as the acting Grand Caster and in kind he has a strange covetous attitude towards that which interest him, which includes making bonds with others no matter how strained it can get.  He gladly indulges in what he covets and desires to the point of hedonistic fervor despite not actually taking any joy from his self-indigent behavior.

He’s aware that this is no way for a man to live but he’s also aware that he’s not even a man in the conventional sense

Magus of Flowers

One day, I found a library at the bottom of a spring. Endless in knowledge, vast in scope At the edge of the universe, I learned of the strings that tied all things together.

It was there, that I first dreamt of a boy, A sword in stone, a kingdom destined to crumble, And the tragedy of that boy becoming king of such a kingdom.

One day, I found that boy at the edge of a lake. Sword raised high, the sun his halo, An ideal he became, in a way so effortless I couldn't help but stay, if only to save him.

With all the wisdom I could muster, I told him of his fate, Yet against what I intended, the tragic king I did create, Went on to build that kingdom, destined to crumble. With his hands he carved his ideals into a round table, He gave his heart to his people, and his sword, to war, And to the woman that wanted to burn the world, a son.

Through all this I tried to save my king of tragedy. I could see his strings, how easy they would be to cut, With all the wisdom I could muster, I reminded him of his mortality. "A king belongs to his people. My life is no longer mine." He told me.

One day, I got tangled in his strings, and that evening flowers grew in my lungs. I coughed up flower petals instead of the words I wanted to say. In spite of all the wisdom I gathered from across the stars, The truest of all my thoughts caught on my tongue.

Then along came the maiden fair, Nimue. In her, I tried to forget the agony of falling in love with destined tragedy. She told me of the roots of Yggdrasil, and of the rings that recorded both future and past. Ambitious and foolish, I strived to change the weave of fate. Together we went to the Isle of Avalon, and as I carved into the roots, Nimue revealed her heart filled with hate, My soul was bound to the tree, and my body to the garden, So that the end of Camelot shall pass

One day, I found a mirror, bound as I was to the root of life. It was there I watched helplessly as my king died Endless in agony, vast in grief, I choked on bloodied flowers, balled fists to glass, Even with all my knowledge, and all my efforts, A doorway lay between us that I was unable to pass. My life now bound to all of creation, I can never tell him I love him, For eternity stretches before my own demise.

(This dragon is sort of a self-proxy but also a representation of my OC version of Merlin. His lore is kind of like Merlin from FGO if the Throne of Heroes and Chaldea never existed. The OC (and the dragon Merlin) sprung up from a poem I wrote a few years ago.)

I tend to think that Earth and Water Signs are the TRUE psychopaths of the zodiac LMAO Underdeveloped Taurus, Virgo and Caps are so incredibly selfish and self-centred that they make human interactions such a misery business. And due to the nature of their Earthy-ness—meaning they can be quite hard to shake—Earth Signs can be quite bigoted about certain viewpoints they hold. Within the context of this reading, Earth Signs literally make a hell out of their very own existence through their inability to connect human-to-human with other…humans.

Or is it really an inability? Is it not simply a refusal? An Earth Sign must ponder this upon itself. ✦ Son of Magus Merline, the galaxy's most renowned mage, Ozwald serves wizardkind as their current archmage ever since the passing of his mother. Weilding her staff to carry on her legacy, it is his duty to preserve the Mastery of Magic and Alchemy.

When the terrible Nightmare threatened the peace of the galaxy, the wizards joined the GSA alongside the ninjas in their quest to stop this great crisis. They fought together for years, but that was until the sudden treachery of the ninjas. The warriors of the shadows defected to the side of Nightmare, which dwindled the GSA's numbers considerably. Still, as low as morale was, they carried on.

However, the war took a definitive turning point when Yamikage, the one responsible for the treason of the ninjas, snatched Ozwald away from the battlefield on the back of a fearsome dragon demon beast. Before the archmage disappeared, he called out to his kin and ordered them all to flee and never return. At this moment, none of them looked back, they listened to the orders of their archmage and deserted the battlefield, leaving the GSA behind. It was weeks later when Ozwald was seen again, but it was too late then ; he had fallen victim to Nightmare's influence.

Many years after the Great War, on a faraway planet called Popstar, King Dedede noticed that Kirby seemed very confused about the magic tricks Tuff was performing. Without skipping a beat, he used his downloading system bought from Holy Nightmare Enterprise and demanded their best magic user. Ozwald was sent through, and gave chase to Kirby. After a tough fight, the young Star Warrior managed to break Ozwald's trance, letting him finally return to his senses.

Ever since, the archmage has been residing in Castle Dedede, occupying the vacant top of a tower.

Ozwald is very adept at Offensive magic and Defensive magic, but also Supportive magic. During the Great War against Nightmare, him and most wizards were back-line fighters using their gift to protect and enhance the other warriors.

Ozwald and wizards as a whole do not really have mana, but using magic, especially strong spells, for long periods of time can tire and wear them out.

Ozwald can perform non-verbal and staffless magic.

He only has one eye ; he lost his other eye during the war after a certain treacherous ninja threw a kunai at him. He tends to hide it from people who aren't used to "gore", not to mention that he feels it to be a tad unsightly. He generally doesn't care to hide it in front of people like Meta Knight, Sword Knight or Blade Knight. if he feels comfortable enough with someone though, he will simply take his hat off.

Ozwald has a younger sister, her name is Winnie. She serves as the Acting Great Archmage in his absence. He hasn't contacted his kin as of yet...

Although some wizards make an exception of this, they typically live on the "Observatory", which is a huge academy/library-like structure that floats throughout space. Wizards as a society and not simply magic-using peoples are pretty private and keep to themselves.

Whilst a staff or wand are important to channel their magic, wizards that are comfortable and skilled enough with it can perform spells without a vessel, simply using their hands. Enunciating spells is, in most cases, mandatory, but simpler spells like practical ones to make things float can be performed non-verbally.

Most wands and staves are made of metals like gold, silver, bronze and the like. Only very old wizards continue to use wooden staves. Ozwald, despite being more in touch with the newer generations of wizards, keeps his wooden staff because it was his mother's, and it will not break as easily as wood, because of the enchantments she had imbued into it.

As was the duty of the late Merline, wizards continue to observe the cosmos and planets to make sure everything is in order. While they don't tend to intervene ever since the Great War, wizards will warn planets if danger is upon them.

Wizards come in all races, shapes and sizes, but the most common ones are simirrors and waddle doos. Ozwald himself is a simirror.

The Observatory has many protection wards around it, along with the ability to become completely transparent, hiding itself and the wizards inside it.

The Observatory is capable of creating dimentional rifts to fast-travel around the galaxy. Ever since the Great War, wizards have been very careful about using this travel method, as dimentional rifts cause a very high, dense residual activity around the targeted areas, which can easily alert Nightmare of their location since he currently has dominion over most of the galaxy.

Merline is the original architect and creator of the Observatory. It was created as both a safe haven for wizards, but a place to protect the Knowledge and Mastery of Magic from falling into the wrong hands. It was her domain of planetary surveillance as well, when she used to watch over the cosmos on her own.

As unapproachable as he looks upfront, there is hardly sweeter than him. Ozwald is kind and patient, he will engage in conversation with pretty much anyone, even Dedede.

While Ozwald believes that a certain degree of sterness is required to properly teach the youth, he also believes that being too harsh and demanding will not serve any purpose. He prefers to teach with rewards, and attempts to make any topic interesting to get the attention of easily distracted children like Tuff, who usually dislike learning "boring stuff".

Ozwald is extremely forgiving, perhaps to a fault, some might think. But he says himself that as a man who has committed one of the greatest sins against his comrades (abandoning them), he does not get the luxury to be critical of what is done to him.

Ozwald is very doting with children. He does not necessarily want a family of his own, but he does have a strong sense of paternality in him.

Ozwald has an easygoing sense of humour, while he does not hold grudges, he is not above using previous events as ammo to tease someone.

Ozwald gets quite competitive with games of any kind and events putting him against other people/teams.

(Sidenote : i'd like to add things like the observatory and Winnie to his info sheet, but it's already me taken me long enough to get this done so i'll add those later !)

Taking a deep breath (was he really about to do this? apparently), appreciating the rush that cut off the anxious twitching and/or rocking before it could start for now, Mordred exhaled again before replying to the magus. Blue-green eyes swept over Merlin’s face and landed around his left ear, draconic slit pupils taking in the Castor his Father still trusted implicitly. “From one inhuman creature to another… Does love exist, or is it just a lie humans tell themselves?” A stupid question, probably, but.

Even in Chaldea, he still didn’t understand.

Hello your grace! Could we get training, evolutions, equipment and super moves for Full Staff???? I hope the evolutions would be amazing. What equipment other than a lighter or taser would be good for this Quirk? I'm anticipating for the support items/equipment ^^

I am SO gonna use Full Staff! That's such a cool Quirk! Any hero name ideas? I was just thinking typical stuff like Sorcerer or Warlock, but I bet you'd be able to think of something better. Also, what kind of stuff would work? Could just a battery make lightning blasts? A water bottle make water blasts? Some aspirin for healing mist? Some weed killer for poison mist?

I loved your "Full Staff" quirk so much! Can you give more examples of uses (items) for the quirk please? To what extent can the user utilize the items? If they put lockpicks or locks into the staff would they able to open or locks doors for example??

I mean, any variant of the magic user name would fit, like Magi or Magus. Alternatively, you could always reference some famous magic user from myth or history, like Merlin or Ivar. Or something like their regular name with an adjective, like the Great and Mighty Kevin!

So what "Full Staff" is capable of is really depends on what the object itself is doing and what it's overall function is. A battery would charge stuff better and weed killer would kill plants better. For example, a water bottle may have the user absorb small amounts of liquids into the staff to disperse them later, a water gun would let them store and shoot water out of it, and a water hose would let them siphon liquid from a source to spray it out. This is obviously a lot, but all this variety is done at the cost of power and complexity of it. Something like a lighter or taser is about as advanced as it would go. Food and other edibles like aspirins can't really be used either since people can't exactly eat the staff. And no, a backpack would not let you apply more items to the staff.

So training it would see the user learn what items do what and how to use them with their staff with all their items. It'd mostly be sticking something in and applying it, potentially to use it with few moves. Learning some stick based combat would be helpful as well. Evolving it could see them expanding how much the staff could hold, both in number of slots and how many of the same items. They could apply the same item in it over and over again, changing the look of the staff to reflect it. This would expand the application of it in power, like the lighter making bigger blasts of fire, but this would sacrifice a lot of the variety. They could even learn to combine items usage with more complex movements, like using the lighter with a fan to make a stronger blast of fire.

As for equipment, it'd really depend on what role the user wants to fill out with their staff. The user could have a wizard robe, or whatever magical equivalent you wish to take inspiration from, filled with all kinds of stuff to swap in and out or have as back ups. It'd be stylish and practical. Sure, you could take items on their own to combo with them, but the staff is the star of the show here. I'm talking sticky hands for snatching, a fan to make wind blasts, add a knife to make it a super spear, power tools to build or smash objects, a bag of sand to blind people, a confetti launcher to disorient them, rope to tie people up with, a flashlight to blind enemies, a shield to help deflect attacks, or enough random office supplies to make Sero feel inadequate about his own power.
