Please don't crucified me if this headcanon is deemed unrealistic in real life. (´；ω；`) More notes / detailed notes:

stayed & travelled with the Figs for awhile -- after being found, before finally dropped of to an institution, as the Figs think their travelling life style is not really suitable to raise a child

quickly picked up civilization as he is an intelligent child (that's why he is a ravenclaw)

exchanged letters with the travelling Figs during his time at the institution / orphanage

was a really helpful child during his time at the institution / orphanage that he is close with the staff

he thinks of befriending people is a way of learning & by helping them he gets to experience a lot of different things

a mellow temperament child in general (just like how it is ingame)

likes exploring (bcs damn! we really going places in that game)

picked the silly 'Alex Xander' name himself, maybe he heard a mother called her child with that name once and he is obsessed with that name ever since.

he always writes Xander as his 'family name' to show that he is complete even without a family

actually a bit older than his classmates, as he went through extra few years to catch up to civilization as a feral child

I drew some of my favorite characters to relax for a while, it has been an overwhelming month for me and I wanted to draw something that would cheer me up a bit. It's not a Halloween drawing exactly, but they are characters that somehow related to the world of the dead (although only one of them doesn't comply with that hahaha)

This was supposed to be uploaded yesterday... Anyway, I hope you had a happy Halloween 🎃

Dibujé algunos de mis personajes favoritos para relajarme un rato, este mes ha sido muy agobiante para mí y quería plasmar algo que me alegrara un poco. the way it happened is truly everyone's worst fear, and the episode puts a spotlight on what those fears are. k trying to fix something and fucking it up massively. when she airdrops all her stuff, it didn't feel like "k's still thinking about her network etc", it felt like defeat, giving up the work she was doing as itsy for someone else, cause she's lost all confidence in her ability to fix what she was trying to fix. sam tries to help with magic, and her wand doesn't work, and she's confronted with how helpless she is without it. she hosts a show with magic in the name but when she needs it, when she calls for it, it doesn't come, and without it all she is (all she fears that she is) is just being shiny on the outside with nothing on the inside. jammer having less than a minute to feel grief and fear before he just locks in on what he needs to do, where they need to go, because jammer feels responsible for everyone he cares about so he feels responsible for this, he can't face evan's shadow because he can't fail evan again because he's already failed to be there before. and then evan! having to be rescued, being inconvenient and throwing off their mission, and then coming back with no clothes, is the worst! he's so sad about how his presence is making his friends' lives worse because k and jammer can't even look at him, he tried to help sam in whatever way he can and it just upset her, and then he socially trapped sam into assuring him she cares about him. he has to ask a magic goat a question and he doesn't know how and even though the goat ends up giving him the theoretical right answer, now it's disappointed in him because he used a cop out! very bad no good day for evan. man.

REVEALED: Astarion Secret Lair cards, Original Adventure arts, and more for Dungeons & Dragons 50th Anniversary!

Over the past few days, we've seen some exclusive looks at what's to come in two of the Dungeons & Dragons x Secret Lair Super Drop, particularly for Astarion and An Exhibition of Adventure. There are 5 cards for Astarion's Thirst, and 7 in An Exhibition of Adventure. What's interesting about these cards in particular is that they are designed with original artwork from Dungeons & Dragons' first debut 50 years ago!

Within An Exhibition of Adventure you will find some OG artwork of a Beholder, the Player's Handbook and the Basic Red Dragon! If you've been a long-time fan of Dungeons & Dragons, and you're a Magic Player, perhaps this is definitely a set to pick up.

Inside An Exhibition of Adventure the cards are as follows:

there's an essay jumbled up in my brain about dunmeshi's beginning and how clever and deceptive it is as a sleight-of-hand trick that distracts the audience from the depth and scope of the worldbuilding and foreshadowing that's being set up the entire time by dangling zany characters and wacky dishes and biology fun facts in front of us, and how that serves to catch invested viewers off guard when those elements come to the forefront, but also how it works against it with other viewers wanting "more" and not seeing it because the plot bait isn't laid out up front

how people getting frustrated with the characters "not taking things seriously" is mirrored and refuted in the confrontation between Laios and Shuro. how the characters' attitudes aren't just a result of shallow low-stakes "comedy rules" where nothing matters, but are an extension of their personalities (Laios's nonstandard expression of emotions being offputting even to people he knows) and the world and social environment (adventurers being desensitized to death and injury because resurrection magic is commonplace). the way the party refers to "saving Falin" instead of "retrieving Falin's corpse," indicating that they still see her with full personhood, and how that phrasing leads to some readers/viewers believing that Falin is alive in the dragon's stomach, conscious of being slowly digested while the party carelessly fucks around "wasting time." how the weird tonal dissonance makes sense in-universe and yet is deliberately challenged more and more the deeper the party goes

all the character building and pieces of lore slowly weaving together the shape of the larger world, laying the groundwork for the major themes that will surface later. so much is right there in the "low-stakes" early episodes if you know what you're looking for (or pass the perception checks).

it can be so satisfying to see new viewers/readers pick up on the clues even in the earliest "simple" episodes, or notice new things and make connections yourself....and it can also be frustrating to see people dismiss oddities and dissonance as shallow or bad writing because they don't expect a "cooking anime" to have depth like that. why try to question and understand and peel back the layers when you don't expect there to be any layers?

Magical girl video game charts! I originally posted these to my Twitter account, but wanted to repost them here as I feel the magical girl comm on here is a bit more relaxed. Please note that some are eroge titles, while some aren't.

The first chart's first half was made to list more well known titles in the US that have games. There's a misconception about magical girl video games not being a thing, which is... definitely not true. The next one should cover indie titles, along with a separate list to list magical girl manga I think people should check out! :]
