MAGGIE MOORE (S) (2023) Grade: C

It didn't find it's footing, wasn't sure if it wanted to be a dark comedy, crime, or a rom-com. The cast is good & Jon Hamm & Tina Fey do have good chemistry from their 30 Rock scenes.

Hey, I know this isn’t a post that I usually make but I need to bring this to attention.

The movie maggie moore(s) is coming out soon and it’s based off the Marry Morris murders. If the movie portrayed these murders in a respectful light I would NOT have as big an issue with its premise. However- that’s not what’s happening: this is a black comedy with a mean spirited plot. The classic bumbling idiot detective making the murderer out to be something cool.

You see why this is an issue?

If you don’t, here’s the issue.

The case is still open- and the families of both Marry Morrises were not at all consulted about this film. And I’m sure I know why. If the above is not enough reason to see they just went above the heads of this family.

A family of which has been subject to harrassement and stalking RECENTLY. Katharyn Morris, her family, and Marilyn Blalocks. Their stalker knows where they live, and despite having a restraining order against them continues harrassing them.

They have upped their security and are terrified of what’s going to happen when this movie comes out.

I say this out of a place of love because the media loves to portray these womens lives as more salacious and scandalous than they were.

These women were family women, and their lives were unjustly taken due to a harbored grudge. This bad faith movie was absolutely not necessary.

Boycott it and spread the word please, these people don’t deserve this. Especially so close to Mother’s Day.

A One Mann’s Movies review of “Maggie Moore(s)” (2023). I’ve found Jon Hamm’s movies to be a bit of a game of Russian Roulette. Enneagram 6 Subtypes Explained

Social 6 "Duty"

The Social 6 is characterized by their desire to belong to a specific group of people. They look for these social and emotional systems in which they can find comfort and emotional safety. Usually perceive as a rule follower by many in the community. However I find this to partial true. The SO6 does look for a system of support however, they can also look for a support system that rebels or is against the status quo. The groups they look need to share similarities to them or desirable traits. This 6s can be very outgoing and sociable BUT make no mistake they are still a 6. Meaning that they still share a general skepticism/cynicism of others. They can look like 1s (very responsible) and imo 7s (due to their outgoing and social nature especially if they have a w7)

Self Preservation 6 "Warmth"

The anxiety the Sp6 harbors can be linked to their high awareness of their current environment as well as the ongoings of it. This subtype usually gravitates more to system that maintain their emotional comfort via order. Usually practical and hardworking this 6s maintains itself safe by maintaining a strict order around themselves. For this 6s the safety in their environment is both physical and metaphysical. Imo they are the most skeptical of all 6s approaching most things with cynicism. Being very careful as to who they let in their space. This subtype can look like a SP5 (due their more reserved nature however the SP6 does look for connection) and SP9s due to their environment focus.

Sexual 6 "Strength"

Often confused by 8s this subtypes fight the fear the inner 6s have by standing on their own. However, unlike the 8 (who look for power and autonomy by themselves) the SX6 looks to fight their fear (by trying to connect with others). This subtype has an edge to them unlike the other 6s. Their desire for connection is more on the aggressive side. They are the most open about their skepticism of others. The focus for this subtype is stability in interpersonal relationships. As mentioned previously this subtype can look like an E8 (simply due to their reactivity) and some 4s (due to their edginess and over expression of emotion).

Dylan O’Brien Sets ‘Twinless’ With James Sweeney Directing & Starring; Republic Pictures Takes Global On Three Point Capital & David Permut Production

EXCLUSIVE: Dylan O’Brien is set to headline in James Sweeney‘s dark comedy Twinless, which the latter wrote and will also star in. Republic Pictures has taken global rights to the movie. Cameras are currently rolling on the movie in Portland, OR. O’Brien will executive produce.

The pic follows two young men who meet in a twin bereavement support group. An unlikely bromance develops between them. Twinless follow Sweeney’s directorial debut, Straight Up, which notched the filmmaker a Best First Screenplay nom at the 2021 Independent Spirit Awards.

Three Point Capital is financing the film with Ali Jazayeri, David Gendron and Liz Destro also serving as EPs.

Twinless is produced by Academy Award nominated producer David Permut and Permut Presentations (Hacksaw Ridge, Face/Off) whose most recent Netflix movie, Rustin, garnered Colman Domingo a Best Actor Oscar nomination.

Miky Lee (Parasite) Vice Chairwoman of CJ and who most recently executive produced the Oscar nominated film Past Lives, serves as EP.

Permut Presentations Director Of Development Alex Astrachan co-produces.

Permut said, “I was absolutely knocked out by James’ first film Straight Up and was determined to work with him. I immediately responded to the originality and provocative concept of Twinless. The dark comedy depicts complex characters in such an irreverent, emotional and hysterical way. O’Brien’s most recent film is the independent feature Ponyboi, in which he plays a villainous pimp and small-time drug dealer, recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He will next be seen in the upcoming films SNL 1975 (from director Jason Reitman) as Dan Aykroyd, Caddo Lake (from the writing-directing team of Logan George and Celine Held, and producer M. Night Shyamalan), and Anniversary (a thriller co-starring Diane Lane, Kyle Chandler, Zoey Deutch and Phoebe Dynevor). The $1.7 billion grossing star is well-known to audiences from his work in The Maze Runner franchise, as well as the hit MTV series Teen Wolf.

Permut also recently produced the Paramount+ series hit, Lawman: Bass Reeves from Taylor Sheridan, which stars SAG nominee David Oyelowo. His upcoming high priority slate includes Being Heumann written and directed by Academy Award winner Sian Heder (CODA) at Apple, Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris’ (Little Miss Sunshine) film The Invite, and Face/Off II at Paramount, the sequel to Permut’s 1997 hit film, to be directed by Adam Wingard.
