Wallpaper Converted From: Animal Crossing: New Horizons for The Sims 2 and The Sims 3

Today we celebrate the 4th anniversary of Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Oh, and my 4th anniversary of being on tumblr! This set includes over 300 wallpapers for The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. I will most likely do a Sims 4 version in the future, as that game would require me to create 2 more textures per wallpaper, because it has 3 wall heights, so I'll need more time to make them. In the meantime, SimderTalia has converted some wallpapers to The Sims 4 already, so you could grab those! I will list some of them below. Please let me know if you run into any issues.

Disclaimer: The swatch above is just a small showcase of what's included, there is a total of 386 walls. Some walls aren't included because I simply didn't have the texture, or I need more time to recreate it. This conversion only contains still images, some of these are supposed to be animated in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I would like to release animated versions of them for The Sims 2 in the future.

Seasonally appropriate recolors and edits that I made for my 6 Bytes Under nightclub for you to haunt your sims with 🎃

You'll need to grab the meshes from MadRayne's The Think Tank conversion and Shasta's 3t2 Graveyard conversion (specifically: base_gravestone, base_gravestone_poor_repo, base_gravestone_wealthy_repo). CEP is required for the portrait recolors.

It's time to get nostalgic.

With this update of my Sims (2000) world, you can revisit every lot and every household from the Sims 1 in an open world experience in the Sims 3! This addition adds the Magic Town and Vacation Island area's, making this a complete Sims 1 world, that includes every Sims 1 neighborhood.

I apologize for the long delay in releases this update for this Sims 3 world. My real life has gotten very hectic, so it's been hard to make time for this project. I hope it was worth the wait and that you'll enjoy reliving the Sims 1 in this Sims 3 world.

This world was made with every Sims 3 expansion pack (except for Into The Future), in addition the the High End Loft and Town Life stuff packs. You can install the world even if you do not own all of these packs. But the save file (which includes all of the premade sims, ghosts and some fixes) can only be played if you have all of these packs installed.

To everyone who has installed and played the previous version of my Sims (2000) world: to install this version, you'll need to uninstall the old one. If you have an active save file with the previous (1st) version of this world, please backup any households and builds you want to save to your library. Because that save file will probably become unplayable after installing the updated world file.

I have one little request… If you know any other long time simmers, please share this project with them. I would love it if as many people as possible get a chance to enjoy this nostalgic experience <3

Also, if you enjoy setting up high quality screenshots, I'd love to see them and use them to promote this world.

I converted the surfing machine from The Sims 2 PS2/GC to The Sims 4!

it's non functional though, but it's nice to pretend that we actually have this in sims 4 😂

also, big thanks to @madraynesims for her tutorial on getting the colored textures, even though I only managed to get the surfboard texture since I couldn't find the rest of the textures 😂

Bird of Paradise, Polyp, Victorian Flower Urn, Cantankerous Bowel Fish and You Had Me at What's Up Painting Converted From The Sims 2 Console for The Sims 2, Sims 3 and The Sims 4

I did this with Strangetown, so here's some conversions from Pleasantview! These objects can be seen in The Sims 2 console locations; Bio Dome, Rockwell Acres, HMS Amore, Andromeda Arms, Jugen House and the Newbie's household. All but both plants were done live on my twitch. I am using the Xbox textures, but I noticed there was a color difference between games for both plants. I checked out the PS2 texture and wow... the quality is night and day lol. There's a comparison photo of the Victorian Flower Urn in each game above if you're curious. I also sized down both plants compared to the original. Info below the cut. Please let me know if there’s any issues!

What’s your favorite Sims death?

There’s the one where you can use the Wishing Well and ask for money and the money bag falls on your sim’s head and k!lls them. Hilarious!

Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

I love clay hairs and I love old Peggy and Helga hairs too. Some TS2 clothing meshes have never held any appeal for me, and some alpha stuff that is very beloved leaves me cold. I like the beta look too! I’ve already shared my love of beta-esque eyes.

I've been collecting CC for much too long. Sometimes I go digging through my old af clothing CC wondering what if??? should I recolor that???? is this mesh good, actually?????

I’ve considered getting rid of all of my custom windows and doors (save a few special ones). I feel like Maxis has given us everything we could ask for and more. Plus it might save space for even more CC. More rc's of what I have, less new meshes.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

Like, use cheats for thinness/fatness? No. Not unless I am checking to see if a fat morph I made works.

Do you move objects?

I’ll move any object I damn well please, yeah.

Favorite Mod?

I could say something boring like Gussy Up or the Sim Manipulator but instead I’ll say something cool like the trainset does not catch on fire because it is cool when an object does not have 2% chance of combusting 😎

I really wanted Hot Date as a kid but was mortified to ask for it, so I think I had Deluxe instead?

Less grungy! Well, more lightly grungy. Less subject to trends. I’ve been a lot more careful about what I download. I delete stuff all the time.

barely lol. I use one of @pooklet's Photoshop actions

Sometimes a tiny bit of photoshopping for an Apoc C.O.W. picture to adjust a finger or get something to look less clippy but that’s it.

TS1 – always makin magic

TS2 – I want it to be OFB but OFB is so busted. Seasons I guess! I like weather and plants.

What’s your favorite Sims death?

Probably Old Age because I love it when my Sims have fully lived their lives before passing away :) The other one I like is Electrocution because the Sims look so funny 😂

Maxis Match all the way.

Do you cheat your Sims' weight?

I don't. I only make them work out if they roll a want to work out or increase their athletic skill, and/or if they receive an athletic-related opportunity.

Do you move objects?

Yes, sometimes.

Favorite Mod?

I have many faves, it's hard to choose 😅 probably the More Entry Points, Business as Unusual Bistro by Ani and almost all mods from @simsi45. I also love the custom weather presets from @pudding-parade and lighting mods from @brntwaffles

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

Sims style, meaning CAS style, the Sims themselves? I'm not really sure what to say 🤣🤣🤣 My style has always been a mixture of retro and modern, and largely based on the Sims' personalities themselves. If they're premades, I have always based their outfits/makeovers on their original look, just enhance it and put my twist on them, still considering their personalities. I also look for real-life inspiration online. I guess what I can say has really changed is that I became more adventurous with using colors and patterns on their outfits, and doing more mix-and-matching. In terms of portrait presentation, it has changed, from a minimalist wall to a more appropriate, lively, colorful background.

How do you edit your pictures?

In Photoshop, I increase brightness and vibrance of my photos, then use Topaz Clean to smoothen the edges 😁

What expansion / game pack is your favorite?

This is a hard one. I love almost all of TS3 EPs. For the first place, it's a tie between Ambitions, Late Night and University Life for me.

Oh my god, I love your ice cream parlour! It's gorgeous and eerie, and I adore the look of it.

May I ask where you got the ice cream parlour items?? Was it a set? If not, I'm particularly interested in the cooler with the containers, the candy dish jars, the donut display, the little milk holders and the chairs. I'm curious about all the items but that's a whole lot, so I won't ask that. If you don't know or don't want to do any wcif at all, that's fine of course, carry on! I just like making eerie diners and such and love your pictures, you're stellar at atmosphere and spookiness.

I would love to see some of your eerie diners if you've ever posted them or plan on doing so; strange and vaguely unwelcoming eateries are one of my all-time favorite things.

As for the WCIF, I think I've got everything here. The only thing I could not find was the little ice cream menu display on the tables because that is listed simply as "deko," and as you can imagine, Google was unimpressed with that request. But I'm pretty sure I got everything else.
