THE SIMS 3 STORE PRE-INSTALLED

Today marks 25 years of The Sims. Since EA forgot TS3 exists, I’m releasing the entire The Sims 3 Store as an Anniversary Gift. It's all pre-installed and works flawlessly!

It comes with all available fixes and collection folders I’ve personally created for every set. You'll get over 5000 new Buy/Build and CAS items, 11 new worlds, and tons of new gameplay!

INSTRUCTIONS

Go to "Documents/Electronic Arts" and rename the "The Sims 3" folder (or move it).

Create a new folder and name it "The Sims 3" (or whatever the name is in your language).

Extract the contents of the ZIP file in "The Sims 3." Now launch the game.

You'll have to adjust your setting again. Don't forget to disable the in-game Store so you don't get duplicates.

Quit the game. Copy the "Saves" folder from the folder you have previously renamed. You can also copy your Mods and CC in package format.

CAUTION

Never copy over or overwrite the DCCache folder.

If you have content installed through the Launcher (Sims3Pack), you'll have to reinstall it.

I strongly recommend you don't install things through the Launcher from now. It already has a lot of content and it is a known fact the Launcher becomes more and more unstable the more content it has to handle.

Since the entire Store has been decrapified, if you want to install lots or world that contain Store content, you'll have to decrapify those too using MATY's TS3 Recompressor.

I had a report that there was an invisible top in CAS. It doesn't seem to have a CASP resource so it shouldn't cause any issues (like being assigned to a random Sim). It's best to avoid it or hide it or blacklist it using NRaas mods. Do NOT try to save the game while your Sim is "wearing" this invisible top.

i'm laughing so hard that was actually unreal. these guys came to the livestream, told this unknowing audience they were 25 and 28, made their sims woohoo in a bush as a shark and an astronaut, then switched to the landgraab house and completely fucked up their house by adding glass slides, cones and humps all while going "ahh, architecture" and then they dipped. no one is doing it like them

25 years since the sims 1 was first released! to celebrate, i made this silly little set consisting of some posters and a rugs, both with some iconic and nostalgic themes.

all the concept art and such of course belong to ea/maxis. i sourced a lot of these from simscommunity.info, which is a fantastic site overall. i also used this sims 3 icons pack by flabaliki, this sims 2 hq icons pack by eddysims and also this build-a-sim icon pack by deathbypufferfish. 🖤 big thanks to these folks!

The Sims 2 Legacy Collection is so broken atm….

I have played The Sims 2 since it came out and I have never seen it this broken before.. The pictures is speaking for themselves. I playtested without mods or cc installed. (Bought the game on Steam, using Windows 10 on my high spec gaming PC)

The Curious household is the most broken thing I have ever seen..

Rod Humble doesn't come with just one present. He comes with at least two, every sim day! You only get one PC, so he's arriving with empty boxes. He also gets stuck and teleport in the process!

The alien abduction is not working as it should in this particular family. Vidcund's abduction is not working as intended at all. The abduction cutscenes is severely bugged and doesn't actually abduct him. He can be abducted without the cutscene, but it's still kind of bugged. The abduction sound gets stuck forever in a loop. When Vidcund comes back, the UFO is bugged in the air and won't ever disappear. No pregnancy occurs. The birth of Pascal's alien baby cutscene is also broken.

I have different experiences with cooking/serving food. Sometimes it's working, sometimes it doesen't. The sims forgets the meal in the middle of making it. When using the stove, the food bugs out and disappears, while the sound from the stove continues. This happens mostly in the Curious family. The door to the oven gets stuck, when the animation bugs out.

I have also encontered a problem with the vacation reminder notification. When Lazo took a day off work the notification came as usual, but It didn't stop.. as you can see.

I have seen a lot of people having problems with crashing when they have made a family in CAS. I did not experience crashing but the loading screen just.. skipped. The family got saved to the family bin.

I have seen people having problems with the mirrors when changing appearance, but I personally haven't experienced it.. yet.

I tried the alien abduction in another neighbourhood and the cutscene and everything worked well.. Everything unless the birth of the alien baby, which was still bugged. I tried multiple births of "normal" sim babies and these where completely normal.

If you bought the game and have any problems, please report it. I have reported my experience with these bugs. According to SimsCommunity's website EA have made a statement:

We recognize some fans are currently experiencing various issues with The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection. We are currently investigating these issues and hope to have more information on fixes soon.

To help with our investigations, please ensure you’re including screenshots, videos, dxdiags, and (for TS1) vulkaninfo.exe files in your bug reports."

ngl, this whole experience was actually kind of funny cause everything was such a mess.. I would wait to see if this get's fixed, before you buy!

The Sims 1 & 2 Legacy Collection is not perfect.

I know most people are reading this, even for Simmers who Don't want to support the Devs because of Reasons, but I came an Alternative method and the Definitive way to Play The Sims 1 & 2 (Plus The Sims Stories that was not available on EA Desktop, Steam & EGS).

Update: EA has taken down The Sims 1, 2 & Stories Starter Pack due to DMCA. It's a Sad day for us.

WIP: OBJECT OVERHAUL PROJECT

My Recategorization Project ended up turning into a massive Object Overhaul Project. As I go through the different categories, I'm fixing many issues, including slot placement, wall objects not being enabled to be moved up and down the wall, etc.

I'm super happy with the progress I've made so far and I'm about to tackle the most complicated category (Misc Decor). So I wanted to show a few catalogs I'm very proud of.

ENTERTAINMENT > HOBBIES & SKILLS

DECOR > WALL ART

DECOR > SCULPTURES

I also added to the catalog quite a few items that were in BuyDebug so people can access them more easily (I also find a handful of items that were hidden in the catalog). Finding stuff right now should be so much easier!
