After removing nails and finish from the old boards I cut them to shape and size. Since I have this awesome Miter-R-Excel I don't use sled or a miter saw that often. Do you use miter gauge? I do and it's @jessemtoolcompany because it seems everything they make is really top quality. Few people asked me about this one and whether I like it more than other products on the market. I think this one is superior because it's extremely well made, strong and heavy but also very precise. In the front of my brand new saw there were two misterious holes. I decided to use them to mount my Miter-R-Excell II hanger, as it is a perfect place for it. It sealed those holes. Speaking of which, I also used magnetic vent cover to seal the big gap above, although it won't work when I'm cutting with blade at other angle than 90 (see my stories). Last photo shows how I sealed gaps under that tool holder on the right. Just added a piece of laminate there. How do you cut dados? I used to use a sled and table saw. Some people use routers, other use radial arm saws. Ever since I got Miter-R-Excell from @jessemtoolcompany I use it for miter cuts and dados. It so precise and handy with it's two stops!
