gladly!! this was one of the first things i wrote during my november writing challenge and i’m still v v v attached to it, so if there are any fics i actually end up seeing through... this is one of them! here’s a lil snippet:

After pulling on her jeans and noticing Rio has shifted positions, she finds her bra flung impressively far from the bed and, without getting pulled back into the prickly warmth again, begins the search for her sweater. A good two minutes pass before Beth decides it must be under the covers and she must wake up sleeping beauty. She’s dangerously close to missing this meeting entirely. She grabs the comforter and yanks it completely off the bed. Rio’s still tangled up in the cover sheet, but the whoosh of the bedding has him on the defensive already. “Nah, come back to bed.” A frantic Beth, resisting the urge to just give up and consider Rio’s argument, can’t help but ask instead, “Nah? I didn’t ask you anything.” His eyes are still shut, but—“Yeah, nah. Can’t have you and the covers leaving me this early in the day.” She laughs. “It’s 11:18, and I have to go.” “Do you though?” he half-smiles now, eyes opening just enough to pull Beth’s focus. And then he registers the black tshirt she’s got on. He licks at the corner of his mouth, waiting for a response. “Have you seen my sweater?” “Nah.” “Are you just saying that because you think the floral print makes me look like I’m 80?” He smiles wide now, pulling his arm up to cradle his head and laughs. “Nah.”

Hello, in those trying Brio times I was wondering if you had any soft brio fic recs and also Brio pregnancy fic recs like December by Zetuslapetus (one of the best to ever do it!!!) canon is depressing so I’m gonna drown in fics.

so at first i was like fuck yeah anon i (half) got you but upon reviewing my bookmarks i have been confronted with the fact that i apparently do not really do soft!brio? i also don’t do pregnancy fic p much across the board (with a few extremely rare exceptions) so i am def not the person to come to for that, sorry!

It’s hard not to blush, not to feel embarrassed for how eager and willing she’s shown him she is, but she does her best to hold steady as she looks into his eyes, not letting it show on her face — after all, he’d been the one who’d put his hand on her thigh only five minutes after the meeting had started, the one who’d kissed her first, and that means he can’t pretend he’s not just as eager. His smirk morphs into something a little softer, more genuine, as he looks at her.

This is way more than a line but my ability to follow the rules of these games is non-existent at this point plus I’ve just been rewriting the whole section so long I literally can’t pinpoint which line was last.  

She suspected that it all appealed to the wide streak of mischievousness inside him and she didn’t really mind.  It gave her a chance to practice against the worst types of witnesses – a forgetful witness, a lying witness, a stupid witness.  

Still, she wanted him to admit it.

“Rio,” she said again.

His mouth was so hot and wet against her, it was hard to think.  But finally he lifted his head.

“Yeah?”

His eyes were trained on her mouth, and she watched him lick his lips.

“Are you deliberately being a bad witness for me and not for Gardner?” she whispered, scraping her fingers lightly down the back of his head so she could tip his head back and feel him shiver.

His eyes snapped up to hers.  

“Elizabeth,” he protested, wounded and reproachful, but she caught the flash of amusement in his eyes.

She knew it.

“Admit it,” Beth demanded, raking her fingers just a touch too hard, using the leverage she had to tip his head back further.

He just grinned up at her and shook his head.  

“Nah,” he told her, “don’t think I will.”

Hey! I’m new to the good girls fandoms - are there active blogs you recommend to follow for analysis, gifs, artwork, fic, etc? 😁

Hey! Welcome to the fandom, anon! We’re super lucky to have a pretty great mix of people who are super active, particularly given it’s a pretty small fandom! In terms of specific Good Girls content blogs, I’d definitely recommend @nbcgoodgirlsdaily and @goodgirlsficrecs which are both terrific blogs with a particular focus on sharing gifs, fanart and fanfics respectively! 

As for the rest, I’ve included as many as I can, but I’m sure I’ve missed people! I have holiday season brain apparently, haha, and my memory isn’t great at the moment. Also please keep in mind that this will ultimately be pretty subjective, and there’ll always be more people out there, and others will have different preferences. In that sense, I’d encourage you to have a look through the tags to find the people and blogs that speak to you! 

But yes! Some to get you started ;-)

@foxmagpie is one of my absolute faves! She does excellent analysis, on top of writing wonderful fics and initiating terrific fandom engagement points like her surveys and GG Appreciation Week! She’s the best and I love her! 

@medievaldarling is also wonderful! She’s less active during the breaks, but is usually back for the seasons, so is defs one to keep an eye out for when s4 starts! Also writes fab fic!

Gifs

@bethrio is a genuine delight and has goooorgeous gifsets and the sweetest fics! 

@bathroombreaks not only runs @nbcgoodgirlsdaily but creates amazing gifsets, fics and digital art!

@riosnosestud hilarious and wonderful delight, Ruby stan so gets bonus points, plus makes a lot of really terrific gifsets, including lots featuring sometimes overlooked characters.

@bensonstablers! I’m forever the Lady Gaga Flawless gifset when she posts, haha. Her gifsets are magic, as are her fics!
