Ghost's Lyric Week 1 12th August-18th August 2024

Rules, more information, and the prompts written out under the cut

Lyric week will happen every three months, starting on the second Monday of the month. Each set of lyrics will have a sort of theme to them, but you can do what you want with the prompt.

Prompts are meant to inspire you, you do not need to include the exact words in your work. You can take inspiration from just the lyric listed or you can go listen to the songs and create something inspired by the whole song, or even just take inspiration from the song name entirely up to you

NSFW works are allowed, just properly tag everything and hide anything explicit under a cut

Alt prompts can be used in place of, along side of, or combined with the main prompts. They can be used as many times as you like

This is not fanfic exclusive! All forms of work are welcome. If you think it suits the prompt go for it

When posting to tumblr use tags Lyric Week or Lyric Week 1 and tag me @ghostsfanficevents so I can reblog. When I reblog I'll use the tags glw reblog and glw1 reblog

I think it's fun that different characters give a different time period for how long Rook was in the Fade Prison. Both because everyone's perception of time is different (and gets weird when you add grief to the mix) and because it means we can headcanon how long it took each specific Rook to get out of there based on how well we think they'd have managed their regrets

after scraping down the internet i found little bits of dialogue and unseen snippets of scenes that are there in the long trailer and saw an eng sub for 2 of those 'trailers' and I'm going crazy. all nuts and bolts on the floor, scattered, rolling away into oblivion. the dialogues are so good guys i CANNOT wait to see how it goes down from now on. once yuan is back. after having lived with his feelings for Years and Years, that they no longer make him scared or ashamed or disgusted anymore. or as many suggest when he returns ready to snipe back, 'pettier' (and prettier- THAT'S THE FIRST thing he asked qian when he comes back, atleast from the long trailer-). when Qian is the one in agony, the kind Yuan was in before he left. after all the loneliness both of them went through. as full grown lived in adults (Qian alr was but his world was yet to shift, i.e he still doesn't know how to make sense of anything or ever cared to dwell on anything thinking he doesn't want anything for he has his family, his brother- but now he's going to WANT, perhaps for the first time ever. and i. Cannot. Wait.

Stiles first catches sight of Peter when he's video calling his BFF and college roommate Derek during their first winter break. Peter is hungover as hell from the holiday celebrations and looks like shit, but Stiles still can't stop staring. Derek can't help but groan, as he has only seen that look on Stiles's face when he's fixating on something and about to become extremely annoying about it.

Peter doesn't catch sight of Stiles until the next video call the following day, stopping in his tracks while walking behind Derek using his laptop. ("Well, hello there. And who's this, Derek? Introduce me."). Derek can't help but groan again, as he knows that his uncle can be equally annoying when he's intrigued by someone.

Derek suffers all throughout the rest of break and the next semester, as both his best friend and his uncle seem to be obsessed with each other and yet unwilling to actually do anything about it. He's getting really sick of both of them perking up like a dog who's caught a scent and inserting themselves into conversations as soon as they hear the other's name.

So, if Derek convinces Peter to come help him pack up his stuff and help him haul it home for the summer, but accidentally tells Peter the wrong day... Well, who can blame him? Stiles has finals even later than him and has been running on caffeine and spite for two weeks straight, plus he's been stressed about his own finals and overall running on too little sleep; it's an easy mistake to make. 😉

("Stiles, your date outfit is hanging up in the right side of the closet. You've got a reservation at Sicilia Mia at 8 pm. ... Oh my god, STILES, you're absolutely going. If I have to listen to either of you try to be sly as you ask about the other one again, I am going to LOSE IT.")

The joke's on Derek, though, because Peter and Stiles stay mutually obsessed with each other all throughout their relationship. 😏
