Firearm Short-Term Storage and Transport
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As someone who has a decent number of firearms in the collection… firearm storage and transport are a couple of things that I must deal with on a fairly regular basis. In this discussion I’ll be focusing mainly on ground transport. To and from the range and even long trips.
Tumblr media
Many people will want a hard case over a soft case and vice versa. It’s of course an individual decision, but both have their merits. I do like a good and sturdy hard case such as the Vault series from Pelican. Brownells carries the rifle sized Vault cases and they’re just about as beefy as you can get with a hard case. One accessory that I recommend to go with your Pelican or Vault hard case is the DAKA case organizer from Magpul. I picked mine up from Brownells and it makes a world of difference in organizing your rifle case. One of the beauties about it is that you no longer have to worry about cutting up foam to personalize the case to a particular firearm. The Magpul Daka organizer system has a base grid then smaller blocks of different sizes that can easily be re-arranged as necessary to accommodate any number of firearm shapes sizes as well as any accessories such as magazines, bipods or suppressors. It’s one of those things that I have scratched my head and thought why did it take so long for someone to come up with something like this? Better late than never of course and the system is tailor made to many popular brand and sized hard cases. Magpul even released their own line of hard cases recently.
Tumblr media
Now when it comes to soft cases, I have used a number of soft cases over the years, but my ultimate favorite have come from a small company, Lynx Defense that’s based here in North Carolina. I’ve been a customer of theirs for probably the past 7 years or so. They make ultra durable soft cases for both rifles as well as pistols made out of high quality U.S. made Cordura fabric. When I’m heading to the range for a range day, I much prefer taking one of my rifle or pistol cases from Lynx Defense rather than dealing with the added bulk and weight of one of my hard cases. The Lynx Defense cases are designed with the shooter in mind with very well thought out pockets, compartments and straps for those on the go and heading to the range for training or just casual plinking. Lynx Defense even makes more low key soft cases that don’t scream “firearm” for those that wish to go un-noticed. Often times when I’m travelling and staying in hotels, I’ll take my Bureau rifle case since it’s very covert and folks typically don’t question what it is.
Tumblr media
So what’s your thoughts on the different style of cases out there? There’s definitely a myriad of options to choose from, but the ones mentioned here in my opinion are some of the best there is. If you’re looking to up your firearm transport game, definitely take a look at Brownells and Lynx Defense.

Learning to internalize the message above, but art is in all of our bones. If you feel afraid to create art because it won't be "good enough," it's worth it to explore why you feel that fear. Creating art is one of the basic impulses of people, and if you want to create art, then you absolutely must.

If it’s possible to ask for request, can you draw snare oh just awkwardly (shyly) looking at someone? (I see him as a laidback off and chill kind of guy, but is secretly shy when meeting someone new or looking at them.
And given how thep khufan’s body are very light, it will be impossible to know he is near you or behind you unless you see him.
Or basically ghostfreak being some sort of big brother figure to his anur system siblings

Opinions on Cattielle? (Catti X Noelle)
Haven't seen much on it, but I suppose that could fall into the "could be interesting" pile? Noelle certainly seems to trust Catti, at least enough that she goes to her house to hang out first if she's locked out of her own. And Catti clearly thinks highly of her and feels some degree of being protective of her.

Chapters: 1/1
Word Count: 5821
When Eiji glances at himself, it is Ash's build that meets him, Ash's skin. Everything adds up, but ...
"How did you ... ?" Eiji manages, startled again at the sound of his—Ash's—voice.
"Just a little correction to the banana fish drug," Dino purrs. He places a hand on Eiji's face, palm enveloping his cheek, and Eiji tries to move away despite the restraints strapping him to the thin mattress. "Anything is possible with enough money and power. And you'll learn quickly that you don't have enough of either."
Money, maybe. But if this disgusting bastard thinks that Eiji has no power, he's drastically misjudged how much Ash means to him.
Ash gave himself up to Golzine, with no plans to escape. Eiji, though? Eiji's been planning to get Ash out since he disappeared.
And now he's on the inside. He can get Ash out easier than ever, now.
If there's one conclusion out of this situation so far, it's that Dino Golzine may have underestimated one Eiji Okumura.
While in Golzine's custody, Ash is injected with a variant of banana fish that causes the victim to swap bodies with the person who's most important to them.

I did a little search about rabbits and here's what I've found.
Rabbits tend to have many natural enemies because they have no defense other than biting and running away. Almost all mustelids, canines, felines, small to medium-sized raptors, and medium and large reptiles(such as snakes) are natural enemies. Also, wild boars, brown bears, and large birds, which are omnivores, sometimes hunt rabbits. However, the animals that frequently hunt rabbits among them are large raptors(such as eagles), small to medium-sized felines(such as lynxes) and canines(such as foxes), while the rest only occasionally target rabbits. It is because rabbits are too big for small raptors and small to medium-sized mustelids, and they are not the preferred target for medium-sized felines and canines because they are too fast to hunt, yet too small to be enough food. Of course, tigers, lions, and brown bears that are larger than these do not hunt rabbits unless they are in more extreme circumstances.
So… the ones who are most dangerous to Emma are neither Chevalier nor Gilbert, (not to mention Leon or Luke, of course) but Jin, Kagari and Nokto. Lol

Connecting dots tonight (didn't connect shit, I've connected them, etc) because of this post about item descriptions to do with Sampo I saw a few days ago and! I feel like there are so many interesting things that could be implied from this!! Because the recipe for the High-Tech Protective Gear is given to you by Bronya (before the IPC invaded Belobog!), who says this little interesting tidbit about it:
Tumblr media
This is an item from before the Eternal Freeze, 700 years ago. Even to the rest of the universe, it would be SORELY outdated. It cannot be made in Belobog anymore due to the loss of entire eras. It is effectively useless; this recipe had to be somewhere gathering dust, kept around solely for archival purposes. There is no reason for Sampo to know about this item or have any idea how it works and yet. AND YET. He's just running around selling knock offs!!
He shouldn't even know how to make these, but the fact that he does means Sampo either
had the blueprints from off-world before he came to Belobog (most likely but also most boring answer)
broke into Qlipoth Fort and copied down the blueprints (completely plausible - he's possibly shown doing exactly that in his splash art)
found another copy out in the ruins of the old world (also completely plausible - Sampo is astoundingly resilient against both the Fragmentum and the cold, as noted by Lynx haha)
Meanwhile, the Inferior Protective Gear recipe comes from an NPC in the underground, and when she gives it to you, she talks about building robots and the robot fighting scene sorry about the quality I didn't have screenshots for her dialogue so I had to use wiki
Tumblr media
Which makes me feel like it's safe to say that the inferior gear is mostly being used in the underground, especially by the vagrants and their robots for fights, because...well, who else would use it? Cocolia has made it illegal to explore too far into the Snow Plains, and besides, it's way too dangerous for most civilians even WITH gear. The Silvermane Guards are funded by official sources, they have no reason to rely on Sampo for armor. So it makes sense for an underground mechanic to know the recipe; there's probably not as much market for it up in the overworld.
And if you look at the descriptions, you can see why this probably wasn't something that could be made in Belobog anymore; it requires a charging system of some sort.
Tumblr media
We know it's not a problem with the basic materials because all three ingredients can be found right in the administrative district. But the underground only has two of them; somehow, despite being in the planet's crust, and literally crawling with robots...there is no metal down there. It isn't found anywhere, sold by anyone, or dropped by anything. And metal just so happens to be the one ingredient Sampo replaces in his knock off version.
The Inferior Gear uses trash instead, something which, going by the words of that same mechanic, is MORE than abundant in the underground- any good quality parts are extremely difficult to come by down there.
Tumblr media
Anyway, all his shadiness aside, I love the implication that Sampo is smart enough to be able to take this item that no one else on the planet probably knows anything about, and was able to figure out what he could replace, and how, and with what, in order to make it easily accessible to the people of the underground, even without access to overworld resources. Because his version DOES work! It literally gives you the exact same amount of defense boost as the IPC one!
Tumblr media
Someone should absolutely still knock him around for it, though, world's most slappable face fr fjkdsjfdkjafk

Since I'm super deep into the maurauders fandom atm but have also just read aftg here are my opinions on wich aftg chracter has wich patronus 🤌✨:
Neil Josten: Falcon - Falcons have a keen eye and are among the fastest creatures on earth. If your Patronus is a falcon, you may have been a troubled soul who decided to cast away their old, evil habits to fly down the hard, right path. Your nature pulls you to the dark, but you’ve chosen to live for the light - The falcon also represents breaking free from slavery. Now that you are free, you are flying in the light, and no one can stop you, not even Dementors!
Andrew Minyard: Hippogriff - The hippogriff is a proud and dangerous creature. They are half eagle, half horse, the offspring of a horse and griffin. If your Patronus is a hippogriff, you likely have a demeanor that commands respect or else. You’ve been known to fiercely defend those you’re loyal to and lash out at those who don’t earn your respect. At the same time, you are capable of growing to love former enemies - after a bloody battle.
Kevin Day: Heron - The heron is known for its outstanding determination and intelligence. Herons live in three elements: water, earth, and air, revealing that the animal appreciates diversity. You have a mind like no other and work on whatever you’re working on until you’ve finished it.
Nicky Hemmick: Hedgehog - Cute and loveable inside and out, those who possess a hedgehog Patronus may thrive on giving and receiving love and may feel they need more of it than others realize. While upfront about their endearment and affectionate personality, hedgehogs are also known to be anxious and overly cautious. They often worry about their own and others of their kind’s safety. Those around must approach the hedgehog with care and precision, though, because when defensive and hurt, hedgehogs are remembered not for their sweetness, but for their sharp spikes.
Renee Walker: Adder - The common European adder or common European viper is a venomous snake that can be found throughout Europe. Adders are not normally aggressive and tend to only bite when they are threatened in some way.
Dan Wilds: Orca - It’s no mistake that orcas are nicknamed “killer whales.” They are one of the most effective hunters in the ocean. Orcas use teamwork and complex communication skills to hunt and the same cunning to protect their young. With the fierce, calculated protection of an orca on your side, you can rest assured that the Dementors will be no match for you.
Matt Boyd: Black Bear - The formidable form of the black bear is often enough to scare away even the bravest of explorers, not to mention Dementors! Often mistaken as a deadly predator, the black bear mostly feasts on berries, grasses, and roots complemented with fish and carrion. This is often how people see you - a fierce opponent who will protect yourself and those close to you but who has a softer side hidden away from the world. Black bears are known for their adaptability, and this is often seen in how resourceful you can be. No matter the situation you find yourself in, when you come to call upon your Patronus, the black bear will be fully prepared to fight in your corner.
Allison Reynolds: Peacock - Peacocks are ground-dwelling birds known for their beautiful eye-shaped plumage. These birds extend their feathers not only to attract mates but more importantly, to appear more intimidating to predators. With feathers that make up over 60% of their total length, it gets the job done. Peacocks are easily irritated and would make a fierce and gorgeous Patronus.
Aaron Minyard: Lynx - The lynx is a solitary wild cat. They hunt alone, using their great sense of hearing and their stealth to move through the forests without being seen by either their prey or those who may be watching. When they do strike, they are fast enough to even catch snowshoe hares. Dementors won’t know what hit them!

honestly I’m 99% sure that this is exactly how the show meant for it to sound but the phrasing pissed me off so bad, like he could’ve said it any other way and it would’ve sounded better, but it’s totally reasonable to interpret it like that since that was probably the intention anyways
Idk I like to pay close attention to the way things are worded and the way Wu worded it made me angry lol
forever angry that Wu referred to Morro as his "biggest regret" mf YOU failed him
