Love Me | Lestat de Lioncourt x Bi!Reader
ෆ as your companionship seems to be failing, you retreat, seeking comfort from a woman who looks awfully similar.
a short fic from me to you. bi reader, as well as rockstar lestat, has been high in demand. i actually accidentally deleted a few really good ones, but there i honestly write whenever i’m bored, so more is bound to come along.
Throwing the large book, you expected it to hit him in the head, but before it could connect, the book went left, falling onto the floor.
“How long will you continue this, ma chérie, you don't menstruate, so why must you go on like this? Hm, do you want to shop, a new handbag, shoes, a new boy toy?” Lestat asked, smirking. Behind the grin, he was incredibly frustrated. The two of you had been arguing for over an hour, and he didn't even know why.
“What does that have to do with anything? You always have to ridicule, when a problem is being addressed,” you screamed, a few tears escaping. As much as you tried to hold them back, the barrier was crumbling, as you grew angrier.
“Are you serious? What is the problem? Go on”
“That boy that you bought home, he looked like him-
“It was merely a coincidence”
“And the one before that, and before that, and many more. All of them resembled him, your Louis,” you whispered, wiping your tears.
“All of them were also drained and burned”
“After you fucked them,” you said, shaking your head as he chuckled.
“50 years, I have given myself to you, and you alone, but I haven't been enough, I’m not Louis”
“Y/n-
“You revealed your identity to the entire world for him. I let you turn me at only nineteen to fill your lonely void, and you’ve never told me you loved me, do you even love me?”
“What kind of point are you trying to prove? I told you, Louis and I had a very different relationship, than what you and I-
“Right, you loved him, and I was the replacement,” you laughed, grabbing your phone and handbag.
“Where are you going?”
“Out, text me from your iPad, if you need anything,” you grumbled. He was too much of an illiterate man-child to even learn how to use a phone, depending on you and Siri.
“The sun will be out soon”
“I won't be long,” you said, making sure to slam the door.
Your emotions were all over the place, angered at the terrible decisions you'd made over the years. You were a young party girl, in the 70s, when you met Lestat. It didn't take long before he was your boyfriend, and you were bragging to your friends about the sex. After months of dating, he confided in you about a weird call from his former lover’s partner, revealing his identity afterward. Soon, he asked you to join him in darkness, and immediately you agreed.
However, looking back, you felt like an idiot, you should've stayed away when the adults told you about the strangeness of Lestat. The rumors of him not aging, only being seen at night. You couldn't see past his charming personality or handsome face, to realize he was trying to fill the void Louis left.
Walking through the French Quarter, you maneuvered through the crowd. You rolled your eyes at all of the tourists, especially since the writer, Daniel Molloy came out with his book, people were flocking to the city.
Going into a random bar, you sat down, your eyes scanning the menu. Alcohol didn't have much of an effect on you, only making you slightly tipsy, but it was something that made you feel human.
“I bought your drink, the least you could do is give me your number,” you heard the man next to you say rudely.
“What can I get for you?” the bartender asked.
“A pineapple martini,” you said, handing him your card.
“I didn't ask you to,” the girl argued.
“Listen, I didn't spend $20 on an overpriced daiquiri just because you're cute-
“And I told you, I didn't ask you to buy it,” she argued.
“Can you two take that elsewhere, I don't want to hear all of that, while I enjoy my drink,” you said, tapping the man’s shoulder.
“No one cares, and keep your hands off-
The man stood from his seat, lunging forward to grab you next, when you caught his arm, twisting it. You watched the man in satisfaction, thinking of how men hadn't changed, even in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and so on — there were always the disgustingly perverted men.
“You don't know how to keep your hands to yourself, it’s gross, but it makes me feel less guilty for breaking your arm,” you said, shrugging before twisting his arm. He screamed in agony, holding his arm as he ran out of the bar, just as your martini was sat down, along with your card.
“Hey, thank you for that,” the woman started, as you sat down. By her accent alone, you knew she was a tourist.
“It was nothing,” you mumbled, twirling the little straw, focused on the drink.
“How did you do that? Do you take self defense classes?” she asked.
“No”
“Well, that was pretty impressive, I don't think I’ve ever seen-
“Lady, I just want to enjoy my drink-
Your eyes widened at the woman, she was perfect, she looked like Lestat, if he had been gender-swapped. Her blonde tresses were inches away from her waist, sky blue eyes, and full pink lips. Her bone structure was symmetrical, her straight teeth as white as milk. She dressed hyper feminine, wearing too much pink and white. You tried not to be weird, forcing your eyes to stop wandering, despite catching a glimpse of her toned body.
“I’m sorry, I know I can talk too much sometimes, sorry,” she apologized.
“You’re fine, I’m just in a shitty mood,” you shrugged.
“What’s wrong?”
“My partner is caught up on his ex, even though they broke up forever ago,” you admitted.
“Why do you hold on to him then?”
“Everything else is perfect about him, I can’t help but want to be loved by him,” you mumbled, thinking of Lestat. Since he revealed himself, he had been very busy, but when he wasn’t, his attention was on you. Waiting for him backstage, in the hotels, in his coffin, the quality time was incredibly intimate.
“If he’s as perfect as you claim, why are you here, obviously upset?” she asked, scooting closer.
“I don’t think I will ever come close to being loved as much as Louis,” you admitted, gulping down the pressure of the tears.
“I’m sorry,” she said, reaching to touch your hand.
“I will be fine, are you new to New Orleans?” You asked, staring at her hand laid against your own.
“Yes, I’m Lisa by the way, but I want to move here, I’ll be out here for a few weeks, maybe we can hang out, you could be my personal tour guide,” she said, briefly biting her lip. In her thoughts, she was hopeful, wanting more than to spend time with you. You seemed mysterious and she was dying to know why.
“Y/n, What did you want to do?”
“See historical landmarks, try local cuisines, hang out with you,” she said, leaning towards you.
“Me?”
“A woman as beautiful as you deserves all of the attention”
“I could say the same thing about you,” you smirked, remaining still as she leaned closer, allowing her to press her lips against your own.
As you moved closer, your phone dinged, making you reach into your pocket. Pulling away, you rolled your eyes as you stared at the coffin emoji, paired with a question mark.
“I have to go,” you told her, going to stand.
“Could I have your number, we could hang out sometime, if you're free,” she said, fidgeting. Smirking, you couldn't help but think of how much she looked like him, yet acted completely different.
Laughing, you unlocked your phone, handing it to her. After her number was saved, you were making your way to the townhouse. The sun could be seen coming into view, and just as you began opening the door, you could feel the heat burning against your skin.
“I thought you wouldn't be long,” Lestat said from the top of the stairs, as the door was shut.
“I wasn't”
“You left nearly two hours ago,” he said, following behind you, as you walked past him, up the stairs.
“And I’m home, did you want to argue more?” you asked him, rudely. He was stunned by your tone, but recovered quickly.
“No, I wanted you to return to me, in perfect condition,” he said, watching as you stripped from the clothing, holding your phone near.
“I’m okay, it will heal,” you told him, feeling his eyes on your lightly burned shoulder. You didn't say anything else, climbing into your coffin, and he couldn't admit your already different behavior left him feeling embarrassed.
Just as your eyes were about to shut, your phone lit up, as Lisa’s message appeared on the screen, asking if you made it home safely. Lestat stared at your coffin, hearing the sound of you typing, before slowly moving to his own.
“Sleep well, ma chérie”
“You too,” you said, hearing the sound of his coffin closing.
Lestat was confused by the way you were acting. This wasn't the first and most likely wouldn't be the last time you'd get into an argument, but this time seemed different. You'd leave and eventually come home, and he'd pick a fight, and just as you started to argue back, he would apologize for his actions and everything would fall into place.
Now, just two hours later you acted completely standoffish with him, as if you didn't want to be bothered. Was the argument that serious to you? You understood the love he held for Louis, but that it was best that they remained friends alone. He was with you, he had been all these years, he cared for you, he lo-.
Lestat didn't know how to express himself, arguing, being jealous, possessive, then ravishing you with gifts, that's all he knew. What he didn't realize was his failure to comfort and reassure you, not taking you seriously, you were pulling you away, as you began to desire your needs elsewhere.
Immediately, Lestat could see the red flags going off, you were gone every night. Some nights before he even woke up, others you'd silently dress in front of him, before leaving. Even when he left for his music business, you always traveled with him, but now you had excuses.
He didn't want to follow you, but he had to, the jealous assumptions were beginning to pile up in his thoughts. Months, it had been months of you ignoring his presence. You’d look at him, hunt with him, and even talk with him if he wanted — but you weren’t putting your all into the relationship anymore. He was making the same mistake as he did with Louis. Choosing when the relationship could and couldn’t open.
He’d dabble in his different tastes regularly, no strings attached, usually killing the person after. You were different, the only way you’d have another person, was if Lestat was present. You weren’t as open to the idea of having others, and in a way, it satisfied Lestat knowing you would never sleep with another, or so he thought.
He had been following you, all the way to Gentilly, until you stopped at the unfamiliar house. His heart could have shattered, as he watched you through the window. The woman, you touched, touched in a way that was only meant for him.
He watched as you and this is unknown woman made love, his heart throbbing. The two of you, going on for what felt like hours, before you were both giggling, going into the bathroom. As the woman came out, grabbing a towel, Lestat was sure his dead heart would stop. This woman, she looked exactly like him, he couldn’t even say he looked better, because they resembled each other so much.
After your shared shower, you both plopped on the bed, holding each other. Your hearts full of passion towards each other.
“Y/n,” Lisa said, playing with your sharp nails.
“Hm?” You answered, your eyes closed. Her warm skin felt nice against your forever icy skin.
“I think I love you,” she said, making you open your eyes.
“What?” You asked, looking at her.
“I love you, I know it’s only been a few months, but that’s all I needed with you to know,” she said. You could feel the tears building up, as you pressed your lips against her own.
Staring at her, you could only see Lestat, the one who stole your heart all those years ago. No matter how idiotic you’re decision was, at the time. All you wanted was for him to declare his love for you, with his mouth.
“Say it again, please?” You asked her, as you pulled away.
“I love you,” she smiled brightly, smashing her lips into yours, as she pulled you back into a hug.
Lestat had tears pouring down his face, as he turned to leave. He didn’t think he could watch any more of whatever that was supposed to be. He couldn't take the idea of you being loving or being loved by another. All this started because of love, you claiming he didn't love you.
“Lisa, tell me you love me, once more,” you said, as you began to glamour her.
“I love you,” she exclaimed.
“No, you don't, you never met me, you won't recognize my face and you will never approach me, do you understand?” you asked her, watching as she silently nodded, you wiped the bloody tear from your eye, just as it escaped,
“Yes”
“You will sleep now, you're very tired,” you said, watching as she nodded, dozing off. She lay beautifully, as you covered her with the blanket. You couldn't replace him, even with the female doppelganger — especially with her. Lisa was a sweet girl, you didn't want to take away her life, revealing your nature, for your selfish reasons.
Leaving her home, you silently went back to your shared townhouse. It was quiet, Lestat already in his coffin, as you undressed.
“Good night,” you mumbled, getting into your coffin.
If this would be life, then you accepted it, second to Louis. You loved Lestat with every piece of your soul, so much that you could take not being loved, but being liked enough to be in his presence.
As the sun eventually left, you got up, dressing to go hunt. You found a random man, draining him in an alley, but as you made your way back home, your eyebrows furrowed. Entering the house, your eyes widened at the sight.
Exotic dancers, well over ten of them, all with wavy blonde hair and shades of blue eyes. A few of them were fawning at Lestat, but he paid none of them any kind of attention.
“What is the meaning of this?”
“For you, ma chérie, I’ll drain them, but I’ll let do whatever you please with them first,” he grinned.
“What are you talking about? Get them out, now,” you said, shrugging off a hand that was about to rub your shoulder. Watching as Lestat controlled them, sending them away, before he sat down, drained from the action.
“What is wrong with you? Bringing all of those women here? God, why don't you think,” you grumbled.
“I was just trying to appease your passions since they were more of your type, I mean, it only took a few months for you to find out,” he shrugged, making you realize he had been there.
“You can't be serious, you're such a creeper,” you laughed bitterly.
“For months, I’ve reached out to you, and you recoiled at my touch, just for me to find out you're having an affair with a woman, who looks too much like me”
“And how is that any different than what you've done?” you asked, crossing your arms.
“I heard you both, making love to her, kissing her, touching her the way that you do me. Texting her throughout the day, you're in love with her,” Lestat cried.
“I’m in love with you, but you love Louis. I can't replace him, so I wanted to replace you,” you said, turning to storm away, when he caught your hand.
“I will always love Louis but don't think that I don't love you. You are my wife, my companion, the one who saved me from myself. I don't want to see you with another, only me,” he confessed. His face was covered in blood from the tears pouring down his face.
“And you have me, but you have to say it, I know you show it in your own ways, but to hear it from your lips, would help me so much,” you told him.
“I love you, I love you, I love you. I know, I am a hypocrite, but end your affair, I can't take knowing you love another, I love you” he pouted.
“Fine, you won't have to worry about her,” you told him, as he moved closer to embrace you. Swiftly, he lifted you, holding you in his arms.
“Are we made up now?”
“Yes, love”
“I don't know how much I could take of that excruciating cycle of neglect,” he expressed.
“Lestat?” you said, as he sat down, having you straddle his lap.
“Yes, chérie?”
“Tell me again, tell me you love me,” you said, sighing in fulfillment as his arms wrapped around your body.
“I love you and I’ll say it as many times as you need”

SRK’s Dance Numbers: Energizing Bollywood for Generations
Shah Rukh Khan, the “King of Bollywood,” is not only celebrated for his iconic acting skills and magnetic screen presence but also for the unforgettable music that accompanies his films. His association with Bollywood’s finest composers, lyricists, and playback singers has led to a treasure trove of songs that resonate across generations. As SRK’s career evolved, so did the music that became an integral part of his films. This article delves into the evolution of Shah Rukh Khan’s musical legacy, from the melodious 1990s to the eclectic tunes of the 2020s.
The Romantic Melodies of the 1990s
The 1990s marked the beginning of SRK’s stardom, with his films introducing music that defined the decade’s romantic ethos. Songs from “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” (1995), like “Tujhe Dekha To”, became timeless anthems for lovers across India and beyond. Composed by Jatin-Lalit and sung by Kumar Sanu and Lata Mangeshkar, the song exemplified the lush romance and emotional depth SRK brought to the silver screen.
Other films like Dil Se (1998) offered tracks such as “Chaiyya Chaiyya”, composed by A.R. Rahman. This unique song, performed atop a moving train, showcased an unprecedented fusion of visual spectacle and musical innovation. The lyrics by Gulzar and vocals by Sukhwinder Singh added a soulful touch that elevated SRK’s stardom to new heights.
The Multigenre Musical Exploration of the 2000s
The turn of the millennium saw Shah Rukh Khan diversify his musical portfolio, incorporating a variety of genres that catered to evolving audience tastes. The 2003 film Kal Ho Naa Ho introduced the titular track, a heartwarming ballad composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Sung by Sonu Nigam, this song became a symbol of hope and living in the moment. It showcased SRK as a sensitive performer whose music could stir deep emotions.
In Om Shanti Om (2007), SRK ventured into disco-inspired music with “Dard-E-Disco”. This energetic number was a departure from his traditional romantic melodies, reflecting his adaptability and willingness to embrace contemporary trends. Vishal-Shekhar’s composition, combined with SRK’s charismatic screen presence, turned the song into a chartbuster.
The 2010s: Nostalgia and Reinvention
As SRK matured as an actor, his films began blending nostalgia with innovation in their soundtracks. The 2013 film Chennai Express brought songs like “Lungi Dance”, which celebrated South Indian culture in a fun, catchy style. Sung and composed by Yo Yo Honey Singh, this track highlighted SRK’s knack for reinventing himself while paying homage to cinematic traditions.
Another significant moment in SRK’s musical legacy was the reprise of classic Bollywood melodies. In Raees (2017), the song “Zaalima”, a romantic duet performed by Arijit Singh and Harshdeep Kaur, echoed the golden age of Bollywood music while incorporating modern production techniques.
The Digital Era and Global Accessibility in the 2020s
In the 2020s, Shah Rukh Khan’s music reached a global audience like never before, thanks to digital streaming platforms. His recent films, such as Pathaan (2023) and Jawan (2023), feature music that dominates charts worldwide. Songs like “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” and “Chaleya” have millions of streams on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube, proving SRK’s unmatched ability to stay relevant.
The song “Jhoome Jo Pathaan”, composed by Vishal-Shekhar, is a high-energy number blending traditional Sufi influences with modern beats. The choreography, performed by SRK and Deepika Padukone, became a social media sensation, with fans recreating its hook step in viral videos. Similarly, “Chaleya” offered a softer, romantic vibe, cementing SRK’s reputation as Bollywood’s eternal lover.
Collaborations with Musical Maestros
A significant part of SRK’s musical legacy lies in his collaborations with legendary composers and singers. Over the years, he has worked with maestros like Jatin-Lalit, A.R. Rahman, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Each partnership brought something unique to his films:
Jatin-Lalit: Known for crafting some of SRK’s most iconic songs, such as “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” and “Tujhe Dekha To.”
A.R. Rahman: Created globally celebrated tracks like “Chaiyya Chaiyya” and “Dil Se Re.”
Vishal-Shekhar: Composers of modern hits like “Jhoome Jo Pathaan” and “Dard-E-Disco.”
SRK’s Musical Legacy: A Cultural Phenomenon
Shah Rukh Khan’s music transcends Bollywood, becoming a cultural phenomenon. His songs are not just limited to cinematic experiences but are played at weddings, festivals, and even global events. Tracks like “Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna” from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge have become staples in Indian weddings, while “Chaiyya Chaiyya” has been performed at international stages and shows.
The cultural impact of SRK’s music also extends to how it unites fans across the world. Non-Hindi speakers from countries like Germany, Russia, and Egypt sing along to SRK’s tracks, often describing his music as their first introduction to Indian culture.
Conclusion
The evolution of Shah Rukh Khan’s musical legacy reflects his growth as an actor and his ability to adapt to changing times. From the romantic ballads of the 1990s to the high-energy tracks of the 2020s, SRK’s music remains an integral part of his cinematic identity. These songs not only define his films but also his connection with fans, making his musical journey as iconic as his acting career.

Porto il liquore a Binks
I bring liquor to Binks
Veleggiando sopra il mar
Sailing on the sea
Vento in poppa arriverò e
Wind on ster I will arrive
Glielo consegnerò
And I will deliver it
Tutti insieme lo berrem
All togheter we will drink
E poi ci divertirem
And then we will have fun
Mentre il sole cala già
While the sun descends already
Gran festa sì farà
A big party we will do
È già tanto tempo ormai
It's been a long time ago
Che il Villaggio mio lasciai
My town I had left
Ma per sempre io lo so
But forever I know
Nel cuor lo porterò
In my heart it will be
Le onde spruzzan su di me
Waves spray on me
Fresche gocce d'acqua e
Fresh water drops and
Mi viene voglia di cantar
I want to sing
La mia felicità
My happiness
Porto il liquore a Binks
I bring liquor to Binks
Sailing on the sea
Veleggiando sopra il mar
Sailing on the sea
Vento in poppa arriverò
Wind on ster I will arrive
E glielo consegnerò
And I will deliver it
Siam pirati e se dormiam
We are pirates and if we sleep
Un cuscino non abbiam
A pillow we don't have
Ma col cielo e le sue stelle noi ci copriam
But with the sky and his stars we cover ourselves
Gran terrore sempre avrà
Great terror always will get
Chi da lungi scorgerà
Who will see from afar
La bandiera con il teschio bianco sventolar
The flag with the white skull wave
Quando la tempesta poi
When the storm then
D'improvviso arriverà
Suddenly will arrive
Se ci spaventiamo ahimè
If we get scared ahimè
La nave affonderà
The ship will sink
Yohoho yohoho
Yohoho yohohooo
Yohoho yohohooo
Yohoho yohohooo
È già tanto tempo che
It's been a long time that
Uno scheletro io son
A skeleton I've become
Ma perché lagnarsi se
But why complain if
Speranza io non ho
Hope I got no more
Sempre un sogno resterà
Always a dream it will be
E mai nulla cambierà
And nothing will ever change
E ogni uomo come me in futuro diverrà
And every man one day will be like me
PORTO IL LIQUORE A BINKS
I bring liquor to Binks
Fino a quando chi lo sa
Until when who knows
Ma pensarci non mi va
But thinking about it I don't want
E non smetto di cantar
And I don't stop singing
La canzone che io so
The song that I know
E che mai mi scorderò
And I will never forget
Viva binks del suo liquor
Long live to Binks and his liquor
D'amore un elisir!
A lover elixir!

Discovering the Wonders of Khulna, Bangladesh
As morning light painted the skies in hues of gold, the city of Khulna in Bangladesh opened the doors to yet another day. Alive with activity, the city hummed with the melody of everyday life — a song I was eager to become a part of.
A Journey into Khulna's Vibrant Culture
When one thinks of Bangladesh, they may envision crowded cities and bustling marketplaces. In Khulna, however, I discovered so much more. This city is an intriguing tapestry of rich culture, fascinating history, splendid architecture and dramatic natural landscapes. The People and Their Heritage Inhabited by the friendly and warm Bangladeshi people, Khulna is a place where traditions are held dear. From the saree-clad women going about their daily chores with grace, to the men in their traditional lungis sharing stories over a cup of cha (tea), this is a place where culture is very much alive.
The Sites and Sounds of Khulna
Stepping onto the streets of Khulna is an assault on the senses, in the best possible way. The Majestic Sundarbans One cannot talk about Khulna without mentioning the majestic Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world. My senses were overwhelmed with the lush greenery, the chirping of birds, and the sound of leaves rustling against each other, creating a melody of their own. The Architectural Marvels The city also houses a multitude of architectural marvels, including the astounding sixty-domed mosque, Shait Gumbad Mosque. I remember the awe I felt as I gazed upon the elegant domes standing tall against the azure sky.
Feasting on Khulna's Delightful Cuisine
And let's not forget the cuisine! Khulna is a haven for food lovers. Overwhelmed by the myriad of spices, I relished the Hilsa fish curry, Chingri Macher Malai Curry (Prawn Curry) and the sweet pithas (rice cakes).
The Magic of Khulna Nights
As the sun dipped below the horizon and the city lights began to twinkle, I could feel the magic of Khulna nights wrapping around me. The lively chatter of day mellowed into a symphony of nocturnal sounds, lulling me to a tranquil sleep.
Conclusion
My journey in Khulna was one of discovery, of new experiences, and of connection with a city that is a beautiful blend of tradition and novelty. For anyone seeking adventure and a unique cultural experience, Khulna is a destination that is both enticing and mesmerizing. Read the full article

La Squadra x Desi (South Asian) Reader (gender neutral)
A/N: I thought this would be cute and funny since I don’t see a lot of south asian centered content about jojo in general! I hope desi and non-desi jojo fans alike enjoy these hcs and if there’s something about desi culture you’d like to know more about I’d love to answer!
Risotto
- My first thought with him was that he starts wearing a lungi around the house as soon as he finds out what they are
- starts using gamucha for his workouts! they’re really convenient

- will buy you traditional clothing that you like, probs likes to see you in panjabi, saree whatever you prefer

- another person who likes desi ballads, if you sing to him he’ll melt and thinks your voice is the sweetest! is also into just vibing with the music on

- may want to hear your language slip out in bed haha
Melone
- absolutely intrigued by your culture and asks you the most questions about it out of all of them!
- gets into desi astrology lol he probably didn’t know a lot of modern astrology is borrowed from a history of astrology in south asia
- another one who wants to learn how to eat with his hands! He thinks it’s fun and different and likes it better than using utensils
- another person who also likes the sweets! but he gets into desserts like pitha, patishapta, kheer the most
- Also like biriyani quite a lot when it comes to savory food
- doesn’t get into bollywood films but loves the music a whole lot! catch him dancing to saki saki in your living room lol
- another one who also loves traditional wear and thinks you look sexy in it
- gets into desi natural skincare products and remedies, he’s got a bunch of vicks vapo rub and inidian healing clay bottles lmfaoo
- at first your family might get creeped out by him but then finds out his background in biology and immediately asks why didn’t you also become a doctor KJBSDSD chats with the aunties the most!
- asks your grandma and aunties for their skincare secrets
Illuso
- Probably thinks you speaking your language is beautiful and would get into how poetic it is, probably believes it’s a language of love just as much as any European language
- Also likes the spicy food! but mostly loves paratha because of how versatile it is and because it’s like a pastry that you can eat with anything
- might need to get used to eating with hands but eventually likes it more than he realized he would
- actually appreciates bollywood for what it is, genuinely gets into the drama an might even get secretly emotional at the sad stories
- actually has favorite bollywood movies too
- immediately goes to gossip with the aunties they’re surprised at how tall he is but also how much he already knows??
- he’s also polite with your family and they really like his height and compliments him on it that boosts his ego lmfao
- another one that gets into desi hair oils, probably swears by coconut and amla oil now
- also gets into desi fashion himself along with you he genuinely thinks its stylish
Ghiaccio
- demands to know your language and also demands you learn perfect italian, if you’re looking for a linguistic debate buddy in your partner he’s right there
- actually not that partial to desi food and may think italian food is better but he indulges in lentil type dishes (probably like daal makhni a lot)
- yeah he’s another one who would look at you strange for eating with hands but doesn’t mind it eventually when you tell him your culture
- WILL scream at how ridiculous some bollywood films are and how he doesn’t get the humor it’ll get even funnier if you watch desi soap operas and he starts talking about the gfx and sound effects
- but actually loves watching whatever with you because he likes spending time like that
- will listen to you rant in your language without understanding anything but still nod along and agree, you’ll probs do it when he’s ranting in italian lolol
- likes to play desi music out loud when you’re going for a long drive he likes how it creates a serene ambiance it helps him calm down
- yet another gamucha user, he’s skeptical about using it at first but loves how it feels on his skin after a goo workout
- don’t let him hear the aunties gossip he might quip back something rude and absolutely do NOT let him debate with the uncles it’ll turn ugly fast, just try to keep him calm in a desi function lol he might get along with cousins as well!
[sorry I couldn’t add sorbet and gelato i’m not yet sure about their characteristics :( ]

I have a headcanon that since Cas is an angel, he knows all earthly languages. And since he does, he listens to lot of Indian music.
Dean joins him after a while (he loves Taylor Swift; it’s not that far fetched). They listen together and Cas translates for him.
“And now he says that his lover is enough for him.”
Imagine them listening to songs like Lungi Dance.
“This song is...too complicated, Dean.”
“Just- take me through it line by line, okay?”
“Fine. He’s curling his moustache. Wear your glasses like big brother.”
“Don’t describe what’s happening. I can see that, you’ve got to translate, buddy.”
“Dean. This IS what the lyrics say.”
When they stumble over Dhinchak Pooja:
“ She takes a selfie.”
“And? There’s a lot of the song left.”
“I presume she takes a lot of selfies, then.”
Cas hanging out with a sad song singer like Arjit Singh.
AS: “Life is hard, man.”
CAS: “I agree, bro,”
AS: “I’ve got four more songs to write about loving someone from afar, bro.”
CAS: *casually forgets the number of times he’s died, been tortured or had to make sacrifices*
CAS: I DO IT IRL, BRO.
@misha-moose-dean-burger-lover for the invaluable contribution

A/N: For the Across the Universe Zine! I actually made this as a companion piece to go with another Mahabharata!based Voltron piece, but this one is getting posted first hilariously.
Summary: Rage was easy. Keith had a lot to be angry about: the war looming over his head, Allura’s futile peace talks, Shiro’s inability to blame any of the gods for what happened. Yet, when Shiro took his hand, it was hard to be anything but grateful for this last moment alone together.
…
…
…
…
“This was the worst plan,” Keith bit out, pacing back and forth on the red stone floor. The cool stone did nothing to reduce his temper, his irritation spiking with every turn he made. As his footsteps echoed in the vast chamber, the domed roof echoing every noise, he barked at his partner, “We shouldn’t have agreed. I shouldn’t have agreed. We all know how this is going to end and we still did it.”
“Is it really that bad?” Reclining on a pillow on the ground, Shiro watched him with an amused grin. Dressed in cool silk, his expression serene, Shiro looked practically unflappable. With the plates of fruit and fancy dishes around him, he looked like he was at a picnic instead of at a strategy meeting. One would be forgiven for not thinking a war was taking place the next day. That Shiro would be at the forefront of that war. Remaining calm was what a leader was all about, but Keith wished that sometimes Shiro would show his true feelings more. At least to him, if to no one else.
There was no way he could actually feel that calm. No one could.
“Of course it is,” Keith snapped, displeased. “They’ve done—” His expression softened as his eyes fell on Shiro’s right arm, on the marks that lined his flesh, and he quietly added. “You of all people should know that.”
Picking up on his emotions, Shiro rubbed his arm for a long moment. “They have done a lot.” He stared at his arm contemplatively before turning back to Keith, a reassuring smile one his face. “Still, it’s worth a shot. It could prevent the war.”
“Sure. If she wasn’t talking to Lotor of all people,” Keith growled, crossing his arms. Was he the only one who thought this plan was terrible? Well, maybe Lance had agreed with him, but that thought didn’t comfort him at all. Of all the people to be on his side, it had to be the moron. “He’s not going to change his mind. He doesn’t back down from anything. He doesn’t even compromise.”
“You don’t know that,” Shiro disagreed, pursing his lips. “Allura is pretty persuasive. If anyone can convince Lotor, it’s her.”
“If anyone could, sure. But no one can. Otherwise, we wouldn’t even be here in the first place. There wouldn’t be a war.” His feet continued its steady pace, treading and retreading the same path. Despite this being a minor palace, the rooms were larger than he was used to. Mirrors and candles were inlayed in niches in the walls and he could make out his distorted reflection as he marched past them. “This could have all been over years ago.”
“True, but people can grow. Can change. You’ve already seen it with some of our allies.” Shiro pointed out. Picking a mango slice off a nearby silver plate, he bit into it as he mused, “Maybe Lotor just needed time or a change in perspective.”
“He needs a new perspective, alright.” Mango juice dribbled down Shiro’s lip and down his neck. The orange drop slid to his bare chest, a trail leading lower and lower and—Keith dragged his eyes away from the drop; now wasn’t the time to be thinking about that. Or about wanting to lic—no, he was not going to think about it at all. They were strategizing for a war. He had a princess to worry about.
His lover would have to wait till later.
God, was it hot tonight.
Keith cleared his throat, forcing himself back to business. “Those other guys aren’t the crown prince of an enemy nation. He did half the things we’re fighting against.” He ground his heel onto the floor as he paced his quarters once more. Even the huge room, he felt trapped, a tiger pacing in a golden cage. “We shouldn’t have let her go alone. He could hurt her. He has hurt her.”
Shiro winced at the memory. It wasn’t like anyone could forget it any time soon, the time Lotor had snuck into their ranks and then broken them. It had been an almost fatal attack on their rebellion. “Just…trust her. She’s stronger than you think. She’s half-goddess, remember? That makes her pretty sturdy.”
“She’s also half-Altean,” Keith pointed out contrarily. “And they’re pretty fragile.”
Setting aside his peel, Shiro finally got up. Clasping Keith’s hand, he pulled him to a stop. “Come on, if you keep pacing like that, you’ll burn a hole in the ground.”
“Great, then maybe I can make a tunnel to the Galra and end this war myself,” Keith grumbled, but he didn’t pull away. There was something comforting about the strength in Shiro’s hand, in how firmly his fingers grasped his wrist. It was grounding and he could feel his worry ebb away slightly.
“Sure. But for now, let’s go the balcony. It’s pretty hot tonight.” Shiro gently tugged Keith, heading to the other side of the room toward the balcony. Thin, gauzy curtains covered the exit, a repellent against the mosquitos and other denizens of the night. Small charms clattered gently as they stepped out into the night air, wards to protect them from the demons and angry gods.
Keith took a deep breath as they approached the balcony railing. It wasn’t any cooler out here than it was inside. His skin was slick with sweat and even as a night breeze ran over his bare chest, he didn’t feel any better. His red lungi clung to his legs and from the corner of his eye, he caught Shiro discretely fanning himself. There was no relief from this heat, just surviving through it. Maybe if they went up north, to the mountains—but no, even that would have to wait till the war was over.
It was a strange thought. When the war was over. They had been fighting the Galra for so many years, he’d forgotten what that was like. If only Lotor and his father hadn’t usurped the crown from Allura. Or if the gods, in their fits of whimsy and amusement, hadn’t joined sides, throwing fuel to the fire whenever it suited them.
A blasphemous thought, perhaps. Then again, Keith had never been one for convention.
Still, tomorrow was the final battle. The exiled princess would be banished no longer. Whether it was through death or victory, it would all be over.
“So? Feeling better?” Shiro asked, leaning against the railing. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. “Smells great.”
“As long as I don’t smell you,” Keith scoffed, begrudgingly taking a spot to Shiro’s right. Jasmine and Queen of the Night grew plentiful here, in pots and crawling up trellises. In the night, their flowers opened wide, giving the air a sweet, cloying scent. “And it’s still hot.”
“Well…not much we can do about that,” Shiro admitted sheepishly, scratching his chin. He glanced down. “Seems you’re not the only one restless tonight.”
Keith followed his gaze to the garden below. Moonlight glinted off the many fountains that dotted the messy garden; Allura liked nature its natural state. Or, as Hunk liked to call it, she didn’t want to waste money on upkeep. Next to one of the many streams, the red tiger quietly prowled, his tail lashing behind him. Nearby, the black tiger kept watch, and Keith snickered. Bonded as they were to these messengers of the gods, it seemed bits of their personalities had rubbed of onto the magical beasts.
“For something divine, they don’t really feel like it.” Keith commented. Elbow on the rail, he rested his jaw on his hand and observed them. They looked like bigger versions of the pampered palace cats, examining curiously new and foreign scents. There would be plenty now, with all the reinforcements they’d called.
“Colours aside, they look just like normal tigers.” Shiro leaned forward, gazing at them with pure wonder. Despite all that they’d seen, all that they’d gone through, that aspect of him didn’t change. He was pragmatic but still optimistic, always believing in the best. It was something Keith loved and worried over. “I wonder sometimes, if we act like them or they act like us.”
“If it’s the first, that’d explain why Lance is a little smarter,” he commented snidely, a mocking smile on his face.
“Keith,” Shiro admonished, but his tone was entirely ruined by the smile he fought down.
With a careless shrug, Keith muttered, “You think it too.” He raised a brow, daring Shiro to refute him. “Right?”
Shiro stared at him a long moment. The corner of his lips twitched, a laugh threatening to emerge, and he quickly forced his gaze away. “Lance has his strengths,” he answered, his voice cracking slightly as he tried to control his emotions. “He’s saved you a few times.”
Keith didn’t say anything, a scowl forming on his face. There were things better left forgotten or, barring that, unsaid.
“He did, didn’t he?” Shiro teased, leaning closer. There was a light lit to his voice and he rested his head on Keith’s shoulder. “You remember, right?”
“A few,” Keith reluctantly admitted, spitting the words out like they were poison. “But don’t ever repeat that to him. Can’t let his big head get any bigger.”
“I won’t.” Shiro promised. It was completely unconvincing considering how much he was laughing. “You two are at it like monkeys.” He took a deep breath, calming down. With a serious expression, he added, “Just don’t let it get in the way on the battlefield.”
“I won’t.” Keith shrugged nonchalantly.
“You’ve said that before.” Shiro stared at him doubtfully. His brow furrowed. “Several times, actually.”
“And I mean it every time,” Keith muttered, moodily leaning forward on the rail and resting his head on his hands. “You didn’t make him promise.”
Shiro stared at him a long time before giving up with a sigh. “Just make it through tomorrow in one piece, okay? I know you two can work together that long.”
Keith glanced at him, then away. To be quite honest, he wasn’t sure anymore how much he hated Lance. Part of it felt more like he was going through the motions, clinging to a disgust he no longer fully felt. And then at other times, Lance would do something idiotic and he felt entirely justified. “I will. I promise. You…you be careful too.”
“Of course.” Shiro stepped closer, until their shoulders touch. His skin was warm, almost uncomfortably so, but Keith didn’t step away. Instead, he leaned into it. “We promised, didn’t we? I’m not leaving you.”
“Yeah.” Keith swallowed and looked down, keeping his gaze fixed on the gardens below. “Your arm…it feels so real.”
“It does.” Shiro flexed his right hand, his fingers curling in and out of a fist. The whole appendage looked indiscernible from his left arm—from his dark brown skin to his long fingers to even the muscular tone. The only things that marked it as unnatural were the long trellis of red ink that marked his skin, as though henna patterns were permanently etched onto his skin. “It even acts like the real thing. If a bit stronger. The gods were generous when they gave me this arm, though perhaps that’s because Allura had begged them to do so.”
“Generous?” Keith snorted, standing straight. Even now he could remember how cold Shiro had been, the blood pouring out of his arm endlessly. The colour fading from Shiro’s skin as Allura pleaded with her father to save him. “There’s nothing generous about this. You lost your arm in a war that they started. Because they’re bored. And now we have to fight it and we have to die in it, and for what?”
“Sacrificing this arm saved Allura,” Shiro pointed out, his voice soft. “And the Galra would have attacked either way. You know Zarkon was gearing up toward it. If he hadn’t, Lotor would have.”
If there was one thing Keith couldn’t stand, it was Shiro’s kind, patient expression. His gentle words. As though he didn’t feel anything about the loss of his arm. As though it didn’t matter if the gods had started it all, he’d clean it up.
And he would. That was Shiro—always fixing problems, always taking care of others but never himself.
“The gods still made this worse than it had to be! They kept poking and prodding where they shouldn’t have, just throwing fuel into the fire.” Keith snarled, tired of it all. The final battle was tomorrow and they might not survive. He pressed his hand against Shiro’s right arm. “Some gift! Even if you survive, they’re taking this back after. It’s only until Allura’s crowned, right? They’re gods, this wouldn’t even mean anything to them, and they still can’t let you have it.”
Shiro fell quiet, unable to refute his points.
Maybe they should have gone to the mountains after all. Just stayed away from this whole business of being Allura’s protectors, of following and guarding her throughout her long exile. There had been a moment, when they’d met the tigers, that Keith had believed it was worth it.
Now, now all he could feel was that it was a trap and he was just another piece on a giant chessboard. They all were.
“Keith.” Breaking the silence, Shiro held Keith’s hands in his own, gently tugging him toward him. He brushed a thumb on the back of Keith’s hands in soothing circles. “You’re right.”
Keith blinked, not expecting this admission. He jerked his head back to Shiro. “What?” He had expected an admonishment, a resigned sigh, anything but an agreement.
“None of this is right and the gods might have just made it worse.” Shiro reached up, cradling Keith’s cheek with his fake hand. It felt as soft as skin, as warm as his other hand, and despite himself, Keith leaned into his touch. “But I can touch you like this again, even if it’s only for a little bit. I saved Allura’s life. And I don’t regret any of it, despite how and why it happened.” He leaned closer, pulling Keith down until their foreheads touched. “I can’t be angry like you. Only grateful.” His thumb brushed Keith’s cheek tenderly.
“I know you can’t,” Keith softly whispered. It felt as though if he spoke any louder, the moment would end and the war would start. And he wanted more of Shiro’s touch, more time together. It felt like they never had enough time, running from battle to battle. He reached up, covering Shiro’s hand with his own and closed his eyes. “That’s who you are.”
“Just like I know you’ll never let this go, it’s who you are,” Shiro answered, his voice gentle.
They stood there, just breathing in and out. Their scents intertwined with that of the night flowers and if there was one thing that Keith was willing to give the gods credit for, it was for creating all of this. For creating this universe, this world, Shiro.
For Shiro, always.
A whistling sound carried through the night air and Keith reluctantly pulled away. Scanning the night sky, he could just barely make out the shape of a glowing, white dot approaching them through the air. The white tiger was returning. And with it, Allura.
“She’s back,” Shiro said, watching as the dot came closer and closer. “I guess we’ll have our answer soon”
“Yeah.” Keith sighed. One way or another, this was the end of it all. He clasped Shiro’s hand tightly.
As the dot came closer and closer, Keith could start making out the white tiger’s shape and the faint form of Allura on top. Her shoulders were slumped slightly, the way she always got when she thought she was alone and everything was just too much.
Bad news, then.
Keith hated it when he was right.
When she was close enough to make out her expression, Allura straightened up. Shoulders rolled back, lips pursed, she gave them a solemn nod as her partner soared through the air past them. “We leave at daybreak,” she said.
No further details were needed. Shiro and Keith bowed slightly as she soared past to her quarters.
“I guess this is it,” Shiro stated, his expression heavy. He watched as she landed on her balcony and dismounted quickly. When the princess disappeared hurriedly into her quarters, he added, “It ended badly.”
“Obviously,” Keith snorted derisively. “It was Lotor. There’s no other way it could have ended.”
“You never know,” Shiro replied half-heartedly. He stared at her empty balcony once more before turning around. “I should check on her.”
Keith glanced at him. Shiro’s expression was weary and Keith suddenly realized just how much his lover had been banking on this discussion.
Shiro didn’t move. “She’s probably not taking it well.”
It wasn’t like Shiro was taking it any better, but for once Keith silenced his caustic tongue. There was a war tomorrow. One or the other or even both of them could die. It was a last night, few hours really at this point.
The mango juice was still on Shiro’s chest, a dried sticky mess.
“I should go,” Shiro repeated tiredly.
“You should,” Keith agreed, taking Shiro’s hand.
“Huh?” Shiro looked at him in surprise, not expecting this response at all.
“She’ll need your advice,” Keith continued, gently leading Shiro back into their quarters.
“I…” Shiro blinked, not sure how to respond. “Yes.”
“And you have to look your best.” Ignoring his lover’s questioning stare, Keith headed toward the blankets and pillows that made up their bed. Silently, he yanked Shiro down, pushing him until he lay flat on his back. Without a moment’s pause, he straddled Shiro.
“Keith.” Shiro stared up at him, bewildered. “What are you doing?”
“Cleaning you up.” Keith leaned forward, a smirk on his face as he kissed Shiro’s lips. “Can’t let you see the princess all messy like this.” He licked Shiro’s chin, the mango juice sweet on his tongue. “Coran’d throw a fit.”
If they were going to die tomorrow, Keith was going to savour tonight. The gods owed him this much, at least.

A WRITER’S BLOCK By Lungi Shigo Msusa
A writer’s block I’m trying to write words Words don’t come out of hiding In the corners and dongas of my brains Who needs dongas if they hide the written word I’m trying to write but the page is clear Clear and starring at me, cause the brain is dead, and the dongas keep hiding the ABCs The ABCs to my lover’s heart My heart to heart Yes I’m trying to write a love letter The letter L for love is…

Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings: Rayudu, Du Plessis star as CSK end five-match losing run to MI | Cricket News
MUMBAI: All lovers of the Indian Premier League were happy to see MS Dhoni back on a cricket field after 437 days as he skippered Chennai Super Kings in the first game of the T20 league against defending champions Mumbai Indians at the Zayed Stadium, in Abu Dhabi, on Saturday. There was also a fair degree of astonishment at the bulk that Dhoni has put on. Extra work in the gym during lockdown has obviously given him strength in his limbs, but he has always been known for the strength of his mind.
Using sound tactics and wonderful rotation of bowlers and right field placements on a big ground, the CSK skipper helped his team fight back as Mumbai Indians, after racing away to 45 for no loss in four overs after being put into bat, limped their way to 162 for 9.

In reply, CSK relied on two players who are not spectacular, but are mighty effective and understand the grammar of pacing an innings in tough situations. Ambati Rayudu 71 (48 balls, 6×4, 3×6) and Faf du Plessis may not have the big shots. They do not have bulging muscles. They do not play with bazooka bats. But ask them to hit a gap, they will do it. Ask them to use their feet to spin and move the ball around and hit the occasional boundary, they will do that too. The pair showed all those attributes and did the job that Suresh Raina normally does for CSK and helped them recover from the twin blows of losing openers Shane Watson and Murali Vijay to MI’s new signings Trent Boult and James Pattinson to add 115 for the third wicket. Dhoni then promoted the young Sam Curran ahead of himself and the move worked like a charm as Curran smashed a quickfire 18 off six balls to take them home with four balls and five wickets remaining. MI last won the first match of the IPL in 2012. Ironically, it was CSK who they beat at the Chepauk. Spin, so often Dhoni and CSK’s trusted friend, on the slow and low pitches at Chepauk, helped them in the Emirates too as the impressive Piyush Chawla struck by getting rid off MI skipper Rohit Sharma caught by Curran at mid-off and then applied the choke. It was the 10th time in three editions that Rohit had fallen to leg-spin. Dhoni then changed the end of Curran, who made a smooth graduation from being a Kings player to a Super Kings one and dismissed the dangerous Quinton de Kock. Once the openers were gone, Dhoni was in control as most MI players were guilty of thinking that they were playing on a smallish field at Wankhede and kept getting caught at the boundary attempting big hits. Du Plessis, at long on and long off, pouched some wonderful catches, two off them in one over off Ravindra Jadeja to dismiss Saurabh Tiwary and Hardik Pandya were a treat. When Dhoni backs a player, he backs him completely and South African pacer Lungi Ngidi is one of them. Despite Ngidi going for plenty in his first two overs, Dhoni made him switch ends, asked him to drag his length back and reaped rewards as the South African ended with 3/38. From a position where MI could have scored 180-plus, they lost 6-41 in the last six overs to end way short. The collapse was as stunning as the dive that the CSK captain put in to send Krunal Pandya back after gloving a short one from Ngidi. He and CSK are back.
