Luke's actor was ESPECIALLY good if you know what to look for knowing the character and musical. Shifty uncomfortable eyes when Percy talked about the Oracle's prophecy of "betrayed by a friend", they had him emphasized and partially lit during Percy's solo Good Kid (bringing that parallel in), looking almost torn and guilty as he approached Percy before his betrayal and reveal, and they had it be a whole confrontation at the end between him and everyone else as he begs them esp Annabeth to join him, shouting down the "You never listen to me, you never listen" during Bring On The Monsters

PJO musical has always been a really good interpretation of his character and MAN. This just. He did so well

“no” violet giggles softly, as luke trails kisses down her neck “stop that! both our parents are sitting here!” she scolds softly; pulling his head away by his hair and he pouts

“you don’t wanna marry me and I don’t get to kiss you?” he whines, dramatically flopping his head against the couch

“Can you just hear me out-“ “no.” “Please! Just one!”

Sitting on the bed in Jacks room of their shared apartment, Jack throws his head back with an irritated groan. “Luke, I’m not going to keep arguing with you about this shit. We can’t have a dog. Who’s going to watch it? And clean up after it? We’re both professional hockey players and have zero time for an animal.”

With a pout, Luke hesitates before speaking again. “I’ll clean up after them! And I’ll spend all the time with them!” “Luke no. We have a game tomorrow. Go to bed.”

“Why am I even asking! I’m a grown man. I’ll just get one and bring it home.” “I wish you fucking would.”

Luke storms out of Jacks room and heads to his own. Immediately getting on his phone and ranting to Quinn about his problems, Jack turns his body and sighs.

“…what’s going on with the Hughes’?” “Apparently Jack said no to a dog. Luke’s not taking the rejection well.”

The two brothers glare at each other from across the locker room, Luke tightening his laces and Jack grabbing his stick. He mouths an ‘I’m not changing my mind. No dog.’ And Luke huffs before walking out.

“…..well, he’ll get over it soon.” Nico says, patting Jack on the back and he just frowns. “Why is he so insistent on a pet all of a sudden? I mean, you understand why I’m saying no right?”

“Yes, I understand. But I can also see his side. You two will come to a compromise eventually. Let’s not worry about this stuff and just focus on trying to win the game tonight, okay?” Nico says and with a nod, both boys walk out of the room and onto the ice.

Everything was going well at first, Jack had even scored a goal! But it’s like this week just wasn’t on his side. The opposing team began crushing them after the first quarter, swiftly taking out their team with a score of 3-1.

On top of the crushing loss, it was pouring rain outside. And his umbrella broke, which meant he had to walk in the rain, with his brother who’s mad at him, after he loses a game. Great.

Both boys get to the car cold and covered in water—not a word spoken between the two. Luke closes his door shortly after Jack does and it’s pure silence between the two. Jack starts the car and turns the heat up to the max before driving off and making his way home.

“Hey luke?” “…yeah?” “I’m sorry. I’ve been really stressed out and honestly I don’t think it’s good for us to be arguing over something so stupid. Maybe we should get something to eat-” bark! Jack’s eyes snap over to Luke and suddenly it feels like the car is at 100 degrees.

“What was that.” “What was what…?” Bark! Comes from Luke’s side of the car once again, this time Jack can faintly see something moving inside of his jacket.

“Luke.” “….listen! Do you see how hard and cold it it outside? Poor thing would have freezed to death out there!” “I told you no dogs!” “Look at her!”

Luke pulls the small puppy out from his jacket and you can see her shaking. Wet, cold, and obviously very lost.

“…what do we do now?” Jack whispers and Luke doesn’t answer, pulling the animal closer to his chest. After a moment of discussing what to do, the boys decide to just go home and sleep for the night.

“Hi, welcome in… how can I help you?” “We wanna adopt this dog-“ “no we don’t.”

Jack pushes Luke behind him and gently snatches the puppy from his hands, a sharp gasp cutting through the air when Luke feels the shove.

“Oh! Where did you find them?” “On the street, my brother couldn’t help but pick them up.” You gently take the animal out of Jack’s hands and inspect them for a second before looking him in the eyes. “I’ll have to do a cleaning and a check up for them, since they’re very dirty and I want to make sure the dog is healthy before I give them to you.”

Jack glances at you and when you two make eye contact all the anger he had directed towards Luke died down immediately in his throat. He quietly nodded and in less than a second, you were gone and in the back.

Another one of your coworkers came and got their information, and Jack had sat next to Luke in the small waiting area.

“…can we please keep the dog-“ “maybe.”

After what seemed like hours, you walk out with the dog put in a small kennel, handing it to your coworker. “Good news, puppy is very healthy! Bad news, you can’t keep her because she’s microchipped, which means she does have an owner.” Luke groans in disappointment, but his eyes flicker over to another dog playing through the window in a designated play area.

Jack notices this, and after standing there for a while, he speaks. “….are any of the dogs over there up for adoption?” “Yes sir! All the animals on the right side of the building are up for adoption. Are you interested in adopting today?”

“Um, yes.” Luke’s head snaps over into Jack’s direction. “That’s great! I’ll let you two look at the animals, and let me know if you decide to adopt.”

As you walk away, Jack looks at Luke and glares. “Don’t get too happy. I’m picking the dog.”

“Hello Mr. Hughes, how may I help you today?” “Hey. I know this is really sudden, but I think he’s sick! He’s been throwing up a lot.”

Jack drags in a golden retriever, who his brother named ‘Jett’ and he doesn’t look to well. Slouching and obviously very tired.

“Oh no! Here, follow me. I’ll get him onto the inspection table and I’ll check what’s wrong with him.” He follows you down the hallway with the puppy in his arms and sets him down gently onto the cold metal table.

Watching you take a stethoscope and check up his heartbeat and trying to listen into his stomach, his heart briefly stops when you call in your coworker to do an x-ray on the animal.

After getting sent to the waiting room and waiting an hour, his worried face shifts to confusion when Jett quickly runs out the door and in between Jack’s legs.

“So, I thought he had an infection in his stomach from some sort of food, but as soon as I officially set up the x-ray and tried to put him under it, he refused and went from looking sick to looking completely fine. My diagnosis is that he was trying to get your attention by being dramatic.”

Jack scoffs in disbelief and looks down at the golden ball of fur in between his feet, shaking his head and rolling his eyes.

“Wow. So I brought him here for nothing?” “Pretty much.” You try to hold back a laugh but fail miserably, smiling at the animal and preparing the register for his bill.

“Well, at least he’s okay! That’s all that matters.” You say and Jack lets out a brief chuckle before looking down at the machine.

“150 dollars?!” “Unfortunately, He did waste the supplies used to prep the x-ray machine…”

“Back again, Mr. Hughes?” “He was eating grass, I’m concerned he’s sick.” “You said that the last time you came in.”

It’s been about 4 months since Jack officially adopted Jett, and coincidentally his owners been coming into your clinic non stop for those past 4 months.

“I’m just looking out for him, what kind of owner would I be if I just let everything slide under the rug?” He grins and you scoff with a smile before leading him and his dog into a private room so you can “investigate” the problem with Jett.

The happy dog jumps up onto the table and rolls over, making a happy sort of huffing noise when you rub his stomach. After doing regular check up procedures, you can determine that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with Jett.

“As usual, there’s nothing wrong with your dog. Why do you keep coming in here when you know he’s fine?” Jett jumps on you and you can’t hold back a laugh when he jumps down onto the floor and stands in a playing position. You open the door to the dog play area and let him out to go socialize with the other dogs that stay in the clinic.

“Maybe I just wanna see the cute girl who works here.” “Well maybe there’s an easier way for you to do that instead of dragging him along with you and wasting your money.” Jack bites his lip into a smile and slowly walks closer to you with his hands into his pocket.

“Does that mean that maybe I can take you out on a date this weekend?” “Maybe it does.” You lean against the counter that holds all the paperwork and files in the clinic and take out a small slip of paper, writing something down on it before shoving it into his hands and walking back into a ‘staff only’ facility.

“ xxx-xxx-xxxx. I’ll see you this weekend, Hughes. ;)”

You waited for Luke and Jack at the player's entrance, excitement running through your veins. It had been a couple weeks since you'd seen Luke and this was the first game you'd attended since he had officially signed with the Devils. Now after a great win, you and the others are planning on going out to eat to celebrate not only the win, but finally being able to see your boyfriend.

After the exhilarating win, the atmosphere outside the entrance was filled with joy and relief. As the players filed out, you scanned the crowd for Luke and Jack before finally spotting them among the sea of their teammates, your heart skipped a beat. Luke's face lit up happily as he caught sight of you, and he quickly made his way over, still flushed from the game as Jack followed suit.

"Hey, there you are!" Luke exclaimed, pulling you into a tight hug. "Couldn't have picked a better game to come to, huh?"

"That was such a good game, you did so well." You responded warmly as Luke kept his arm around you proudly. "I feel like such a proud WAG, like the ones on TikTok."

Luke laughed as he shook his head, "Oh yeah, that was the main goal - to make sure you get to brag about your boyfriend who's now officially in the NHL."

"How does it feel to be the best rookie this year?" You smiled, teasing him playfully.

Luke's cheeks flushed with a mix of modesty and pride. "Oh well, I mean... Let's not get ahead of ourselves. But it does feel pretty good. Hard work pays off, I guess."

"Don't let it get to your head, man. We need you focused for the next game." Jack playfully added as he looked at his brother, a smile on his face.

"You're too modest, Luke, you were so good out there." You grinned up at your tall boyfriend as he squeezed your shoulders.

Luke beamed at your compliment, appreciating your undying support. "Well, having the best cheerleader definitely helps," he said, leaning down to give you a quick kiss.

Jack watched as you two shared a small kiss, letting out an exaggerated gag as Luke pulled away with an eye roll. "Jesus, can you two save the PDA for, I don't know, not in front of me?" Jack teased, earning himself a playful shove from Luke.

Luke shot Jack a playful glare, "You're just jealous because you don't have someone cheering for you so proudly."

You laughed at Luke's comment as he pulled you closer, earning a dramatic scoff from Jack. "Luke I've got fan-girls all over the world. If I wanted a girlfriend, I'd have one-"

"Whatever, whatever." Luke dismissed with a smirk, "I'm just saying, it's different when you've got someone who knows you inside out, someone who's got your back no matter what."

Your heart fluttered as you watched Luke, your lips beginning to hurt from all the smiling.

Jack rolled his eyes, a subtle smile played on his lips. "Shut up dude, save the relationship advice for later. Plus I'm living my best life right now. No commitments, no stress, no nothing."

Luke glanced at you with a smirk as you two bursted out laughing, causing an annoyed to leave Jack's mouth as he began walking away. "We getting food or what? I'm starving."

"Absolutely," you replied, still chuckling from the joke.

Luke slung an arm around your shoulders, and together, you followed Jack outside to the car.

The demon brothers as babies

So it was a regular ol day Solomon was over at HoL and the brothers were screaming and arguing a little bit more than usual which is weird cus it's usually not all seven of them arguing so Solomon gets the great idea to use a mystery spell and turn them all into something random but he does it without telling them...you were onboard because they need to shut the hell up they've been arguing for hours on end.so without warning Solomon whispers his spell and all the brothers poof away.you and Solomon gets scared for a quick second because you don't know where they are but you suddenly hear the loud cries of....baby leviathan hidden under his over sized clothes.you two originally planned to keep it secret.but after 30 minutes or so diavolo gets worried because lucifer hasn't answered his texts and thats so weird he never takes more than 40 seconds.so he heads over to HoL to see you and solomon dealing with seven very unamused babies.and somehow barbatos luke and simeon end up at HoL too with the babies. You guys knew how to turn them back but you decided that they could spend a week or two as babies so that's what they did.

Lucifer

He's a quiet baby never really crying unless there's something really wrong but he's also very specific about how he wants things.he wants his bottle cold but not too cold but he wants his bath water warm but not warm.hes just calm lil guy.forbid anything be wrong from how he wants it he's gonna scream and cry he won't stop until the problem is fixed.if you are someone he's fond of (like simeon and diavolo) he'll blow you little kisses.dont let him see any of his brothers upset he doesn't not like seeing them upset it hurts his feelings.if theres a problem you can't solve he knows what to do.one time you made baby asmo mad and he was side eyeing you the rest of the day

Mammon

He's a Velcro baby please don't put him down or he's going to cry.dont move away from him,don't let anybody else hold him (for some unknown reason he will let barbatos and Luke hold him without problem)he's relatively normal baby just don't separate yourself from him...he has separation anxiety.dont wear jewelry around him he will pull it take it and chew it.hes so cuddly tho he loves forehead kisses.but don't do too much he'll push you away. He will watch over baby belphie while he sleeps to make sure hes safe

Leviathan

He's a Velcro baby just like mammon but he will let anybody hold him.he cries more often than not.he just won't stop crying he's like full time cry baby.other than that he's the sweetest baby out of all the brothers (being rivaled with beel and asmo)he will blow you kisses and clap for you.he's really cuddly just don't move his around too frequently he's used to staying in one place for a while.he really likes bath time you have to bribe him to get out water.he and mammon do that little thing where they pat their hands together it's really cute

Satan

He's cool it's just easy to make him mad.you don't do the airplane motion when feeding him smashed fruits he will throw the whole bowl at you and kick you.he won't cry unless he's hurt.but for the life of any life form near don't make him upset babies have strength like no other. When reading book for him to sleep he wants to sit in your lap and look at pictures or flip the pages.wont wear clothes unless it has a cat on it (unfortunately you had to learn the hard way and he bit you) don't let him near baby Lucifer or he'll pull his hair and you basically have to keep them separated

Asmodeus

Bro is such a sweetheart and a cutie pie it makes you want to cry he will let anybody hold him but his favorites are simeon and solomon.do not get food on his face or anything relatively messy get on him or he will have fit like full on screaming and biting.hes a clean baby so it's not very hard to clean him up.other than he's okay with everything else.he does little dancie dance when he's happy.helps clean baby beels face after he finished eating.

Beelzebub

He is very sweet and calm just don't let him get hungry or let him near his brother's while they eat he will take their snacks,well not belphie he will spare his snacks.the only things that make him made are being separated from belphie, not feeding him and seeing belphie upset. Anything else and he doesn't really care.he cant stay in the same place he likes to move around just as long as baby belphie is with him. often stealing snacks from Levi because he knows he won't fight he'll just cry.

Belphegor

He's always sleeping but the second you move beel from him he's awake and crying.he gets cranky easy so just let him have his sleep until it's time for feeding time or bath time. other than that he just sits there staring into space or playing with beel (they have a giant ball and they like to push it to eachother back and forth) he really only lets you and Luke hold him he does not like being moved around. he likes to cuddle tho and over all he just doesn't give a damn. He likes to sit with baby Satan while you read for them

When all of them transformed back into adults they were all in your bed and Satan and mammon were on the floor, Levi was on your chest,asmo was holding your leg Lucifer and beel were nuzzled next to you and beel was above your head and when they all woke up it was super awkward

You explain to them and they get really embarrassed and hide for the rest of the day

the little gem on her athame (the weapon) was given to her by her dad, which was given to him by hecate. it kind of forms paths for her while shes fighting, resembling the whole crossroads hecate thing... shes able to call upon hellhounds by whistling!!! her strongest magic is related to night/the moon, so dark magic, you could say. her fatal flaw is kindness, which might be surprising based on her looks and abilites. shes too trsuting, kind, and isnt a big fan of killing. also, alexeis gf!!! btw all of her super cool magic stuff (the paths, whistling, etc) has cooldowns

part of the quest trio also i wrote something for the first prophecy but technically its not a poem so??? does it count?? idk: When night falls, the child of magic must seek out a key. With a child of tricks and a child of sleep, She, daughter of witchcraft, will reap. Lunionem* in hand, a stone to guide, Follow the moonlight through the night, Down to Hades, and with friends to help set her right, She'll find the key and seal the fight. * her athame, which is a knife used in rituals!! 2) "a child of tricks" NATHAN "NATE" TRICKER!!! hermes kid, obvi... he/him, 15 (13 at time of main quest), bi. really good at manipulation, pranking, and tricking people (who wouldve thought?) gets compared to luke a LOT, as hes kind of a big brother to all the campers who are younger than him (he is basically a better luke tbh) he hates the comparison though (he didnt even know the guy!!!). nate's fatal flaw is feelings of inferiority. his sword is meant to represent hermes' caduceus and i probably spelt that wrong but whateva. part of the quest trio. 3) kiki, the latest one i made. she has no last name for now lol. dionysus kid, can instill madness into people. she/they/xe, 17, pan. not much to say about them tbh. fatal flaw is not taking things seriously lol 4) MY SON ALEXEI ARKWRIGHT!! hephaestus kid, got burnt lol SKILL ISSUE!! a nerd... he/him. hes 14, demiboy, ace, and omni. good at forgery, a bit skilled at sewing though thats probably not a hephaestus thing. jades bf (his failboy swagger captivated her). autistic and has ocd. everyone has adhd and dyslexia tho obvi. fatal flaw is hesitation. 5) "a child of sleep" PHOEBE DREMA!! hypnos kid, 13 (11 at time of mian quest), aroace, sapphic, she/her. can control dreams, hypnotize ppl, and can cause people to become eepy. narcoleptic, falls asleep super easily and isnt the best at fighting. HOWEVER, her fatal flaw is ambition/recklessness, as she loves a good challenge/fight. ALSO FUNFACT: her arrows are dipped in water from the river lethe, so when someone gets hit with them, they are both injured AND they forget where they are for about 10 seconds. part of quest trio

“C'mon, Mason. You've played in the Champions League and Euros finals and taken and scored decisive penalties for your team. Waving a flag is nothing compared to that” I chuckle.

“This isn't just a flag, love. It is the flag. I am representing my country in the Olympic Games! This is an honour!”

“I know, Mase. I know” I say, wrapping my arms around his neck. “I was just teasing you.”

“Then less teasing and more showing how proud you are of your dearest husband” he says.

“Do you have anything in mind?”

“We could start with a kiss” he smirks. 

“Ok” I smile before kissing him.

“I am gonna miss this so much while I'm away” Mason says against my lips when we break apart. 

“Just my kisses?”

“All of you, love. Everything about you” he says, caressing my cheek. “Wish you could be at the villa with me.”

“I will be with you” I say, taking his hand and showing him his wedding band. “I am always with you.”

“Always” he smiles. 

“So you better be careful with it and don't lose it. Again.”

“I didn't lose it. I just misplaced it” he says, rolling his eyes.

“Mason, the cleaner at Carrington found it while cleaning the changing room. That's losing it, not misplacing it.”

“Meh, meh, meh” he says, pulling me closer. “Can I get another kiss? I need all the luck I can get to not mess it up during the opening ceremony.”

“You can. But” I say, stopping him as he is about to kiss me. “You have to promise me that after the Olympic Games you are getting your wedding band fixed so it fits you properly. It's been almost four years since we got married!”

“I will, I promise. Can we kiss now?”

“Fine” I sigh. “But only because I love you.”

“I love you too” he smiles, that dimple of his showing before we kiss.

“This is amazing, bro!” 

“It is, isn't it? I still can't believe this is happening!” Mason says as he waves the British flag, people cheering as their boat cruises through the Seine. 

“If you get tired I can help you” Luke says. 

“I can do this. They chose me for a reason.”

“Yes, because you are the pretty one” Declan says, making everyone around them laugh. 

“It's a shame it won't show up on camera with the rain, tho” Luke says. “Right now we all look like drowned rats. You included, Mason.”

“But even while being soaking wet, he is the pretty one” Declan sighs.

“Sorry” Mason smiles, taking a rest from waving the flag. It may look easy and he may have trained to do it, but he had started to struggle a bit and they still were half way through the parade.

“Bro, look! That's where the girls are!” Declan says, waving towards a group of people with British flags.

“Can you recognize anyone?” Mason asks him, looking for his wife. She had said she would be carrying a flag with his face on it that she had found online God knows how, that she would be hard to miss. But neither of them were expecting for the weather to be that bad, and he could barely see what was going on in front of his nose.

“Not really. But if we don't wave at them, they will get mad.”

“They will, yes” Mason chuckles, joining everyone else. And then… he sees it. The flag with his face on it, someone jumping like crazy behind it. “Over there, Dec!” he says, now waving and moving his arm from side to side so he gets to be seen among all his teammates. 

And when he sends his wife a kiss, moving his arm with maybe too much intensity… 

“No!”

“Bro, are you ok?” Declan asks him.

“My wedding band!” Mason says.

“What?”

It was gone. Forever.

He had first felt it move on his finger, slipping from it. And when he had looked at it to somehow try to put it back in place, it was already flying, hitting the side of the boat before sinking on the Seine. 

“My wedding band, Dec. I've lost it.”

“You what?”

“She's gonna kill me. She's gonna fucking kill me. She's…”

“Mason, relax” Declan said, putting his hands on his friend's shoulders. “It is just a ring.”

“It isn't just a ring, Dec! It is my fucking wedding band and I lost it! I… I…”

“Breathe, Mason. Breathe.”

“It's over. My marriage is over.”

“She isn't gonna ask you for a divorce just because you lost a ring. Not even if it is one as important as this one” Declan says. “But we have to come out with a plan so you don't spend the rest of the year sleeping on the sofa.”

“A plan?”

“Leave this to me, ok? You just worry about waving that flag and acting normal.”

“But…”

“Waving, Mason. Waving” Declan says.

masonmount: I'm sorry, love. I am so sorry. I know I should have gotten it fixed a long time ago like you always told me to. I know. But that, plus the fact that I was soaking wet and everything was a bit slippery, and that I got too excited after seeing you cheering for me as our boat sailed past where you were… and it was gone. My wedding band was gone. I saw it leave my finger, hit the boat and then disappear under the water all in slow motion. It probably lasted just a few seconds, but as I held my breath, it felt like an eternity. But if I'm being honest, better to lose it there than somewhere else, like at a random changing room. How is that any better, you may be asking yourself? Because I lost it while representing the country I love during the biggest sporting event in the world, and all thanks to the sport I love. Because the sign of our love, will now forever be part of the city of love. Though that sign of our love is missing its other half, so wouldn't it be romantic if we went there once the Olympic Games are over and threw your ring into the water too? Let them be together forever just like you and I will always be? And you always say that even though our wedding was perfect despite the circumstances (covid days), you wish you could have had everyone you love with us. So maybe this is our sign to renew our vows and throw that big party you always wanted?  Once again, I'm sorry, love.  I love you ♥️

“I mean, what you said was beautiful, so if you had texted me all that, maybe. But you are freaking Mason Mount. That post has gone viral to the point that it made it to the news and people have offered to go into the river to look for the ring.”

“I’m sorry, love. Je suis désolé.”

“Talking to me in French won't make it any better?”

“What if I say voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir?” he smirks.

“You are not making it better, Mason.”

“I'm sorry. I'm sorry, love. I truly truly am” he says, putting a lock of hair behind my ear and caressing my cheek. Which is cheating, because he knows I go weak at the knees every time he does it, and that staying mad at him after is almost impossible. Especially if he does it while smiling and making the dimple on his left cheek pop like it is happening right now.

“I know you are” I sigh. “Now, let's get done with this crazy idea of yours before I regret it. Or was it Declan's?”

“Throwing your ring into the river was all me” he chuckles. 

“Anyway…” I say, taking off first my engagement ring and then my wedding band.

“Do you want me to hold that one for you? I promise I will take care of it as if my life depended on it.”

“Your life does depend on it” I say, putting it on his palm and closing his hand around it. 

“God, you are so scary when you get serious like that…”

“Good” I smile. “Now, how do I do it? Do I say some words before throwing it or…”

“I don't know” Mason shrugs. “Just do whatever feels right.”

“Nothing about throwing my wedding band into the Seine feels right. But…” I say, turning to look at the river when I see him rolling his eyes. “I know you will find him. Just like us, you are meant to be together. Goodbye” I whisper to the ring before throwing it with as much strength as I can so it makes it to where his ring supposedly is. “Done. Now wha… Mason!” I gasp when I look back at him and see him on one knee. “What… what are you doing?”

“Remember what I said on my Instagram post about renewing our vows?”

“I… I do.”

“Well, for us to do that, I should probably ask you to marry me first, shouldn't I?”

“Mason, we are already married” I chuckle.

“Are we? Because I don't see any ring on your hand, and I don't have one either” he says, moving his fingers and looking at them as if they were something he hadn't seen before, making me laugh. “So, with the city of love as our witness… Would you do me the immense honour of marrying me?”

“Again.”

“Yes, again” he sighs. 

“Only if you promise me one thing. No, two.”

“Fine…” he sighs again.

“One, that we will go together to get our wedding bands measured and will make sure they both fit perfectly, and that we will get something like a cute box or little pouch for you to put yours and keep it safe while you are playing.”

“I promise.”

“And two…”

“Wait, weren't those two things already?” he asks with a confused look.

“No, that was just one. And two…” I say, leaning forward towards him. “You have to promise me that we are going to throw the biggest party ever, one that won't end until the sun comes out.”

“I promise you, my love. People will take a week to recover from it.”

“Good” I smile. “Then with the city of love as our witness… Yes. I will marry you again, Mason” I say, extending my hand. 

“Perfect” he smiles back, standing up once the ring is back in my finger. “May I kiss you now, my love? My fiancée?” he smirks, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer towards him. 

“You may, my love. My fiancé” I chuckle before kissing him, people suddenly clapping and cheering around us. 

“Oh, shit” he says, stopping his kiss to look around. “Looks like we have an audience.”

“Do you think they know who we are?” I whisper.

“Maybe? I don't know. But” he says, looking back at me. “If they do, I think we should give them a proper kiss. One movie worth it and that becomes even more viral than my Instagram post.”

“Mason…” I say, his cheeky smile letting me know that he is planning something I will definitely regret later.

“Hold tight, my love” he says before kissing me like they always do in movies, by somehow twisting me and leaning me back, holding me down while one of my legs in the air to allow me to keep my balance. “I love you. Now and always” he says against my lips, our little crowd cheering again.

“I love you too, Mason. Now and always” I say before kissing him again.
