I feel like any romantic relationship with Leon (canon character ships, selfship, ocxcanon, x reader, etc) would be very Lovesong by The Cure.

Because I feel like Leon’s been through so much in his life, and obviously romantic relationships in specific aren’t the fix all to trauma and mental health issues and just life problems in general, but love and intimacy in any form DO have a very positive impact on people. Romantic, platonic, familial, companionship in general.

Side tangent aside, Leon’s been through hell and back on more than one occasion, so I feel like if he can find himself in a position to be so vulnerable and intimate with someone, and be in a position where romance is on the table, I feel like it’d be VERY deep and intimate.

I think Leon would kind of be the kind of guy that finds comfort and a sense of home in his partner, and all that sappy mushy stuff, and I feel like Lovesong just encapsulates that vulnerability and intimacy and love.

Also I’m a fan of The Cure, so..

Also, another thing I will note on this blog: I will not obscure or disregard the fact that Luis Serra is a shady individual. Even though they took away some of his lines in the remake he will not always be the charming charismatic man he portrays himself as. He is and will always be shadowed by the actions of his past even as he tries to make up for it in any meagre way he can.

#keyword: adding #in digimon conflicts come about as a result of independent viewpoint differences #ie takuya vs kouji. taichi vs yamato #or (since i just watched 02:the beginning) lui and ukkomon’s conflict is SO GOOD #it BUILDS to something. lui and ukkomon’s disagreement builds up to: they need to communicate. they both come from a good-faith angle #ukkomon so desperately wanted to make lui happy and failed to look closer to see what WOULD - and lui didn’t know how to express #what he actually wanted to ukkomon. or try to reach out to ukkomon in turn instead of basking in his life finally going ‘right’#but then not as much in idw gives me that good feeling of ‘ahhh they built to this and it is so nice’#or when conflict is created it isn’t because despite best efforts people clash and have to work together #it’s when someone does a stupid and someone else has to pick it up #it means a lot when you see kouji driven to press takuya to the wall and see them shout at each other #because they both have to realize that with words they will never convince the other of their viewpoint.#even though they both think the way the other looks at things will get the group killed #and of course it makes sense that the group would follow takuya. he’s their heart. their core #takuya’s the reason tomoki stayed in the digital world and junpei and izumi find confidence being there because he’s there rallying them #and in this case that good trait winds up being wrong. he gets everyone captured by the enemy and thinks theyre all better off if he wasn’t #part of the group from the start. but THAT isn’t true either - he just needs a BALANCE of his excellent helpful determination and willpower #and seeing things as they are and not as he believes them to be - more like kouji #he WAS wrong but not for HAVING the traits he had - for leaning too much on them #or (also going to a media im currently engaging in) sundered star. things go bad between people a LOT but it’s not frustrating.#it’s SATISFYING/ENGAGING seeing feferi leave eridan and watching eridan go insane and give in to the horrorterrors. of course it couldnt-#-go any other way for them. eridan wouldnt change until he realized he could lose feferi and feferi wouldnt bring him any real consequences #-to make him consider that until she was leaving and would never come back. and it was never her fault that leaving eridan lead to-#-catastrophe and devastation. it just happened as a consequence anyway #anyways i guess. if i see the characters do their best and things still fall apart it’s better than #seeing an idiot plot or characters written to be worse than they were to make conflict happen #with takuya he wasn’t suddenly bad or misjudging everything. he just didnt have to deal with negative consequences for misjudging before-#-because they hadnt met someone like duskmon that they COULDNT eventually beat before. even gigasmon who wrecked them all at first-#-was beaten once they had beast spirits and were on equal footing. so takuya assumes the same for duskmon without realizing that #they arent on the same level. so the issue didnt come from nowhere - it just comes to a head now

gotta say that usually i am so stressed going into the trade deadline bc i’m afraid of who we’ll lose but now i’m like look. you already crushed my soul by getting rid of Ty France and i’ve had to watch this team go into a tailspin for the last month and a half so FIX IT, i don’t care what it takes*

i follow the Ms minor leagues pretty closely, i’m at almost every AquaSox game, i love so many minor leaguers with my whole heart but right now i would sell them all for a single corn chip if it would make the Mariners even a fraction more watchable than they have been since mid-June

get whoever you can, make a push. the AL West is so bad right now that even with the abysmal baseball we’ve been playing we’re still VERY much in it. the Arozarena trade RULES for us and is a great start but that CANNOT be it; you know the Astros and possibly even the Rangers aren’t just going to be sitting around, they’re going after players too. if we get a bunch of guys and try and it doesn’t work out, well, whatever. at least we didn’t roll over and die!

*unless it takes Cal or any of the starters but i’ve gotta imagine they’re all off the table along with Julio

#go get mountcastle! or luis robert jr! both preferably!#get fucking paul dejong since jp’s gonna be out for a month and a half!#heck i’d take josh bell at 1B even the marlins are already starting to sell #could use a bullpen arm too i guess but honestly that’s the least of my worries #i think the bullpen will have a much better time if they’re not having to protect a fucking 1-run lead literally every day #and i’ve got more faith in us to figure out pitching internally than bats #talkin baseball

What would happen in the hypothetical situation an F-Zero racer was present at the start of a Grand Prix but then fell ill (or was otherwise unable to participate for unforeseen circumstances) before it was over? Surely someone would have to sub in? Thing is I don’t think everyone in F-Zero has someone who could sub in for them (I mean I headcanon Falcon is friends with the Mewtwo from Smash who would absolutely be able to work out Falcon isn’t fit to race, teleport in, grab the Blue Falcon and understand how to drive it all thanks to its psychic abilities but I don’t think anyone else who seems to be a loner has anyone like that. Phoenix and QQQ are probably off the worst because chances are if one of them is racing they’re both racing and I doubt the rest of the Time Patrol is prepared to turn up in 2571 just to sub in for one of them. Actually scratch what I said about Phoenix and QQQ, the Skull definitely doesn’t have any contacts. He probably doesn’t get ill as easily as everyone else of course but that’s not to say he can’t end up in a situation where he was available to race at the start of a Grand Prix but for whatever reason isn’t available during later races but whatever happened isn’t major enough they have to call the entire Grand Prix off)

#I’d ask this about Wave Race too but at least there everyone seems to have someone they can contact #(ignoring Miles because he’s not in Blue Storm. The three from 1080 can probably call the others from 1080)#although to be fair if Serena suddenly becomes ill it’s likely her boyfriend Luis is also ill #same with Akari and her roommate Kyoko #f-zero #yeah I think I started headcanoning that each race in F-Zero takes place on a different day before I learned that was canon in Wave Race #captain falcon #phoenix #qqq #the skull #of course what I do seem to be forgetting is the fact that there are 30 racers at a time (usually) and 41 racers in GX #(counting Gomar and Shioh as one racer and Dai San and Gen as another racer)#so technically they could just ask one of the non-participating racers to sub in #but at the same time depending on how much emphasis is put on how much they’re just subbing in #(especially if they have to use the unavailable racer’s machine)#chances are there’ll be a strong enough rivalry that it ends in sabotage 99% of the time
