While I was away from tumblr, I created a youtube channel! Admittedly, it’s mostly for my gaming content, but I also created some lucid dream content too! And if any of you would like to sub and see more lucid dream tutorials and videos, give this playlist a shot and some likes!! I’m always interested in making more lucid dream stuff, and especially since my own dreaming mind has been thirsty for lucid dreaming too!

The Biggest Dream I Had This Week

I fell asleep last night, and I was expecting my today's dream where every single II character could only appear, so it ended up appearing them along with BFDI, old movies, old shows, old video games, book characters, comic characters, etc.

That's what I woke up with an epic dream.

In the middle of my today's dream I've had, Marshmallow (Marshmello) was eating hot dogs while I was listening to music on a reel tape deck.

Even Pin from BFDI and II Paintbrush were filming their own short film on a VHS-C camera.

And II Lightbulb was also filming her own movie on a Hi8 camera.

The dream ended with object versions of VHS, Beta, VHS-C, 8mm tape, Hi8, reel tape, phonograph record, floppy disk, CRTs, and all kinds of old technology throwing a party along with all of these millions of old movies, tv shows, video games, books, comics, and the like.

Not forgetting for Balloon driving a 1950s car.

My dreams once again felt like I was in another dimension. And the funny thing here is that I woke up twice. Once when in my dream, I was playing gi and was thinking of making fan content for it and dream Aria was like: "Haha... I am not making fanart of that." Then I woke up and I was laughing cuz like: "Gurl didn't wanna make fanart of gi characters so badly she woke up." But then I was still sleepy so I went back to sleep again.

AND THEN! Normally I'd get a different dream but this time... it was continuation. My dream honestly felt like I was living the life of an Aria from a different world. It was just chill where I was hanging out with family and friends but bizarre enough where it doesn't feel too real (like, locations that doesn't exist in the real world).

And after I had fun in my dream, me and my family went back home, dream Aria went to watch an animated mhyk video featuring Cain and female Akira and she was like: "I should start watching yume stuff so I can just see Cain a lot" And then there was a part in the video where it was a mix between real life looking footages and animated as to like show that Akira went back to her own world and Cain was still in the other world. The funny thing bout that is when it focus on Cain sitting on the sofa all alone with a sad expression, he looked like Inuyasha. So dream Aria was like: "Bruh, that is not Cain that's Inuyasha."

And I woke up. And I'm completely awake now and this has got to be my favourite dream so far, it's both so funny and nice at the same time.

It doesn't matter if Mike admitted to or believed he didn't need those sleeping medications. The audience of the fnaf film is too young for the movie to depict a cop being In The Right for illegally disposing of and confiscating a man's prescription meds.

It does not matter if he was "self harming" or if it was "for his own good." This was not a responsible thing to show a varied audience without criticizing or allowing nuance in the situation.

Songs of the Summer, 2023: #10

Blister by Clara Cava & Kaeve (May 4, 2023)

this is an ode to having Our Table, at the coffee shop, (and to the drives I know so well, the ones I could—and do, perhaps inadvisably—make while crying, or while half-asleep at the wheel because the depression would like us to not exist anymore, please, the ones that take me home before I even stop to think about where I'm going) it’s nice to have favorite things, I think “Having a favorite person is overrated,” I say, lighthearted, and ask what kind of drink you’d like. “Instead, I have a favorite macaron.” (the thai iced tea ones, in the box of thirty-six from the big freezer at the grocery store by our old school)

Clara Cava keeps winning, which is good because it’s an absolute crime that I hadn’t done a proper review of any of the many songs I love from her on this blog yet—no “No Vaya a la Fiesta”, no “Cosa Suya”, no “Protagonista”, no “Te Pense un Monton” (or the 8-bit version, which is awesome, too!!).

So, I’m very happy about this addition, but I still kind of can’t believe a song that’s basically a Mario Kart OST—every time I hear its instrumental, I can’t help but think of that water park racetrack from the mushroom cup??—became one of my favorite songs of the summer, and of the year for good measure. Hell, this song technically came out a couple of weeks before my summer started, but I’ve loved it enough this summer to make an exception to my own rules and put this on the main list. I’m obsessed with “Blister”—even after four months of leaving this one on repeat, I still find myself craving it—and, by some miracle, Kaeve’s voice hasn’t even started irritating me yet.

The atmosphere of “Blister” just works. It’s yet another embarrassingly chill addition to this list, but it’s such an easy song to like—the Mario Kart nostalgia & my emotional attachment to Clara Cava’s voice (which you can thank “Cosa Suya” and “Protagonista” for) certainly help it out, but even without my personal reasons to love it, “Blister” has this sweet, genuine innocence to it that combines unexpectedly well with its produced-in-a-garage aesthetic. It’s just messy enough to balance out the sugar-sweetness of Clara Cava’s performance and the fluffiness of the instrumentals, so the whole song comes out irresistibly charming. I have no idea if this got any traction at all on TikTok, its my bedroom-pop TikTok hit of the year. I didn’t put Clara Cava Mario Kart lofi on my 2023 bingo board, but you’d better believe I’ll be putting it on next year’s in the hopes we can get something like this again!
