For one I went to prom with my friend and it was super fun, but I’m also kinda living a romcom?? I believe that he might peek at other women, especially when Lydia isn't around lol, but I do not think he would act on it.

We're talking about a man who longed for the same woman for over 30 years. Sure, he might have eyeballed a few women along the way (heck, he checked out Delia 💀), but I highly doubt, given the opportunity, that he would cheat on Lydia once they are finally married.

Betelgeuse's undying love for Lydia aside, there is also a marriage contract. Let's look at the alive person x dead person marriage contract, which would allow him freedom in the world of the living. As far as I saw, one of the terms of the contract is that not even death can separate them, and it also says that the marriage is for eternity. He wouldn't go and break an actual eternal bond of love and companionship as that for a nice pair of boobies or something. We would have to see if infidelity on his part could nullify the contract as well, since agreeing to being bonded through eternity should mean they agree to being entirely exclusive to each other. He wouldn't forfeit his much desired freedom in the living world for something so trivial, and especially not when he's finally bonded to Lydia, whom he really does seem to be completely in love with.

That said, the man has been a sleazy ass demon for over 600 years, and he isn't blind. He likes women (though women don't seem to like him at all lol), so he's sure to take a peek or two. Hopefully he would make an effort to stop checking out other women once he's finally married to the one lady he referred to as the love of his life, but I think he'd still let his eyes wander every once in a while, even if he wouldn't pursue other women and actively cheat. I'm sure Lydia would peek at other men as well; she's only human, after all, and therefore not perfect either.

If they marry in the afterlife (when Lydia has passed away), though, we're talking about eternally devoting themselves to each other. That's the end of the line right there; once the choice is made to be together through eternity it wouldn't only be dumb but also irrational to cheat. I don't think Betel would do more than peek at other ghost ladies, assuming Betelgeuse and Lydia don't just end up taking the soul train together and going off to the great beyond in the end, to have their eternal peace (which for me would be lovely and their perfect ending). I think once Betelgeuse marries Lydia his soul will be freed and he will no longer be a demon, and he will be able to move on to the great beyond next to her. I'm sure once they get to that place there will be no one else to even look at than each other. We're talking about a vow to spend eternity together; neither of them would break that, not even someone like Betelgeuse.

Kuea grabbing Pin's arm and hand was horrifying. Not just because he did it to Pin, who we know doesn't like him at all, but because he did it to a woman at all. The men were willing to let Aon die rather than touch a lady for CPR and yet Kuea felt comfortable grabbing Pin? Notice how he dropped her hand immediately when he heard someone coming. He's way out of line, even by the standards of the time.

By the time Frost does returns from his exile months long mission, "Y/n who?" and you singing the same tune "Frost who?" since your pussy is tired from the beating Joker gave it. A little soreness outweighs Joker murdering his right hand man. Moving right along.

Mac is smart so you would think he would know better? Nope. His pretty boy ego blinds him to the fact that you're J's girl and that Joker Does. Not. Share. All it took was a flirtatious joke and a wink sent your way and Mac's fate is sealed. Strike one.

The blond learns his place real quick in the form of denied access to key systems. Goons whisper as he walks pass. Things feel off at the hideout and his position is called into question. Did Mac really think Joker was gonna let him holler at his girl and touch his money? Boy.. Strike two.

Mac is on thin ice and unfortunately he's caught red handed asking you "what you're doing later." You deny accountability (every person for themselves 🤷🏾‍♀️) you and stand off to the side to ensure that Joker doesn't kill his bookkeeper. Mac might be smart but he dumb at the same time. A gunshot is tame compared to what Joker really wants to do to the blond. Its a warning and Mac keeps a distance from you and doesn't speak to you unless its important going forward.

The boy is traumatized. When Mac becomes romantic with Morgana, Joker backs off but if Mac tries some mess again, RIP to a real one.

Neo is definetely the least loyal out of the three and it shoooooows. Neo canonly flirted with Y/n so.... this is kinda a spoiler of what's to come.

The first time Neo met Y/n he was flirting (he got off with a warning at the time since no one knew your connection to Joker yet) but then he pulled that stunt at your dinner party. Yeah. Neo had the game messed up from day one. That fboy mentality of his is gonna get himself killed. Has anyone heard from him since?👀 Moving right along.

So as for what Joker would do after Neo makes a pass at you? *Murder on My Mind by YNW Melly plays in the background* Jk🥴

I will avoid spoilers here. Just know that Neo is currently knee deep in his redemption arc. His punishment fits the crime and is important to the plot considering he almost ruined it with his foolery in front of your parents. 😤

Even as Pin towels off Anil's arms and back, her teeth are still digging into the flesh of Anil's throat, lips sucking a moment later to blossom a bright red mark.

"You're really going to make sure everyone knows I'm taken, aren't you?" Anil breathes, fingernails digging both into Pin's scalp and shoulder, lips parting as her lidded eyes watch Pin suck marks into her skin, over and over again. As the sharp ministrations manifest, her core tenses and clenches and eases in turn, legs bowing to stay standing as Pin takes the opportunity to press her back against a nearby towel rack.

"Even if you won't say you're taken," Pin murmurs, hands already sliding and cupping along Anil's hips, "I will make it clear."

Anil drops her head back, arms wrapping around Pin's neck to keep herself standing. "Please... Please do."

Hey, so sorry to bother you but I know you sometimes answer these kinds of asks and I’ve been feeling really sad recently bc I feel like I’m letting my teenage years pass me by. I’m sixteen and I’ve never been to a party (or even invited to one) or kissed anybody or held hands romantically or gone driving with my friends. I don’t go out on Friday nights and Ive never been to a football game (I’m usamerican btw so these are all big parts of high school experience) I mean I’m not even allowed to have Instagram…am I missing out or am I watching too many movies?

I totally know how you're feeling because I felt the same way at your age. But here's the thing- I've done all of those things, now, and I'm so glad I did them when I did...when I was ready.

Trust me, you'll have plenty of opportunities to do all of those things a million times, and you can try them all if you want! But remember two things:

None of those things are fun if they're with the wrong people or when you're not ready. Don't push yourself!

None of those things are fun if YOU don't want to do them. Trust me, movies make them seem cool, but I'm not a sports person, so I quickly learned that football games are boring irl- for me anyway! So don't push yourself to do something you don't think you'll enjoy, just because you think you're supposed to enjoy it.

Things will happen just like they're supposed to <3

To Survive The King's Harem is like being a maid in a fantasy game, only that you died and got transmitted into the world of the game and become either a servant or knight who serves the Consort and has the most opportunity to may or may not witnessing Arthur and the rest of his harem (the ROs) getting obsessed with MC, and may or may not have the opportunity to fall in love with one of The Round Table's knight, The High Mage (Merlin), The Witch (Morgana). Your duty is to serve the Consort, make sure no one will be harm to them. But before that, here's your most important duty... Do what it means to SURVIVE.

On the other hand, To Hide The Royals' Love Affair is like a more funnier version and that you're the one who follow MC all the way to Camelot. As the Consort's royal servant for years, your have to make sure the Consort, never ever doubt themselves. As such, you'll have to find a way to help the Consort to get out of their shell, just as you used to, further determine who to trust, investigate the King for your Consort, determine who to trust or not to. But more importantly... You'll have to find out a way to overturn the grand scheme that may bring shame to your Consort, even when the King's reliable enough to take care of it.

Hi, what do you think about epic the musical as an Odyssey fan? Just curious

As an Epic the musical fan, I LOVE IT! Everyone's so talented and I love the music style!!! It's super fun and creative and it's amazing that Jay basically writes it all himself!

As an Odyssey fan... It's INCREDIBLY different. To the point where it's more "Odyssey inspired" than the actual Odyssey. But that's the thing. I wouldn't say Jay WANTS it to be word for word Odyssey and I DO think that'd be...kind of hard to do? Especially for Modern day.

It still has most of the "spirit" of the Odyssey though I feel like which is SUPER important. I'm saddened that very few adaptations really "balance" Odysseus' assholery and "goodness". I love "shithead Odysseus" but personally, I'm happy as long as an adaptation keeps to a "family man who wants to go home" for the most part :D (I really fucking hate the whole "Odysseus! The clever, swashbuckling hero who gets all the babes! ...He has a family?!" bullshit. That's very much not him. (He likes shiny things, yes but that's it)

More personal rambles below :D

I think it's interesting that Polites in Epic is more "peaceful" when in the Odyssey, he's called "captain of armies". And the fact he's killed right away when he was one of the last men alive.

Also Odysseus' and Eurylochus' friendship! I think it's sweet in the musical while in the Odyssey, it's quite tense. It gets more and more tense in Epic later on obviously but in the odyssey, it's been tense for a WHILE. Also!

Shout out to Armando Julian! Eurylochus' actor! I see a lot of people talk about Polites, Poseidon, Circe, and Hermes and they get a lot of fanart and love with their songs (rightfully so, ofc!!!) but Armando is really talented and people really sleep on Luck Runs Out! I'm about to become a vocal nerd for a moment. He's got a wonderful vibrato! I really love how he sings "feed" during Full Speed Ahead and "Captain, please" during Remember Them for example. His voice really fits with "speaking on behalf of the crew".

I know most people have a lot of feelings with the Circe Saga but I think that Jay did a great job considering... everything. Book 10 and 12 of the Odyssey are very complicated and I don't blame Jay for not wanting to delve into EVERYTHING with that. Odyssey Odysseus gets SA'd twice and while "I'm Not Sorry for Loving You" makes me worry, I really do think Jay will pull through with how fucked up Calypso's situation while still not having the graphic scenes in the Odyssey. It would be very hard to not only have what was basically an exchange for his men to be turned back to humans but if he interprets it happening throughout the entire year like some readers do, then that's really hard. :'D To truly portray Odysseus' fear of Circe while still having her be morally gray. As she very likely didn't mean Odysseus harm after a certain point but he was still afraid regardless.

Not only trying to not have such disturbing stuff shown in his musical but also, I think Jay was possibly trying to be considerate of Madeline Miller's Circe fans while still trying to show Odysseus discomfort and distress???? 😅 Sounds weird but like, as soon as I heard Circe talking about the nymphs being like her daughters and that she protects them, I thought that. That book is HUGE and I'm sure that many fans of it don't necessarily want to see Circe's "I do whatever I want. I don't need a reason. Woe, Oink be upon ye." as the most likely reason they were turned into pigs in the Odyssey is that ODYSSEUS is associated with them (the boar scar, the metaphors when talking about him in the Iliad, his trusted Swineherd Eumeaus, BOAR TUSK HELMET. Like, that's kind of the animal that represents Odysseus. (even when a spear pierces through a boar's hide, it'll STILL charge as they're that ferocious and determined...Just like Odysseus, a man who should be dead but isn't because of his will to go home. Homer didn't write them being turned into pigs necessarily as a "Men are pigs" thing.

I think the modern shift in how the situation seen today and other media of the Odyssey is why he wrote the songs he did. And considering it all? He did a good job navigating it. I'm very happy with the results!

I have more thoughts probably but those have been stewing in my brain for a while :D I definitely look forward to the next sagas!

Do you have a favorite character evolution or relationship evolution that you’ve written? Personally, the way Augus becomes soft for Mosk in The Ice Plague really tickles me.

Oh hmmm, this is such an awesome question! But also really hard to answer.

I think I have more than one. But the one that weirdly comes to mind is Sharpwood in The Golden Age that Never Was. I've been kind of obsessed with his character ever since and I feel like I'm 'saving' him for an original novel somewhere along the way. Something about him going from like, a cold, distant servant, to what he became, until finally at the end you realise you really want to get to know him better and it's too late... I don't know. I think often about writing a side story of his trauma recovery, but I don't have like...spare time to do it in. Alas.

In terms of the main characters, like the point-of-view characters, Gwyn's and Augus' journey was compelling enough that I followed them for nearly a decade in a single universe. And I feel like that's the most obvious answer because it's like 'well, I spent tens of thousands of hours on them because they were my favourite evolution / relationship evolution.'

In terms of less obvious characters... I actually really loved writing Mosk becoming protective of Gwyn in The Ice Plague and then becoming kind of like a mentor figure almost to him, despite his age and lack of experience.

I loved, loved, loved writing the slow tentative growth of connection between the prickly Gwyn ap Nudd and equally prickle Raven Prince in The Ice Plague as well.

Right now, I'm a big fan of Efnisien and Faber, and Efnisien and Flitmouse too. :D
