this is kind of inspired by canis corpus, but what might happen if c!techno's execution was successful, and c!dream revived him asap after and he had to reinvent his identity? how might that change their relationship? and c!phil and the rest of the syndicate? (and the blood god)?

bc like... this is c!techno's chance to not be The Blade, right?

i think c!techno would really struggle with the idea of not being able to be himself with his friends, even more than c!dream did in 'canis corpus'. like, techno loves his friends a lot. being away from c!phil in particular would be really rough for him. but if he was convinced it was the only way to keep phil and the others safe, then i do think he would do it.

in that case, i think he would definitely lean on c!dream quite a bit for friendship since he would be the only one to know. there might be a touch of resentment at first because again, this would be hard for techno and techno isn't always the best at dealing with this sort of thing.

but there's probably a part of him that DOES want to start over and have the chance to be different, someone who isn't tied to his reputation, y'know?

Clay/Dream is a hero and general depressed mess going through quite a bit (Quackity is his boss. You can guess how well this goes) and Techno/Blade is a bookstore owner and 'villain' on the side :) (as always he's fucking right but the administration definitely doesn't want you to think that TvT)

Clay and Techno are great friends :D Dream and Blade, not so much

Fun little thing though, Techno knows Dream's identity, Dream does not know this or Blade's :)

Anyway I love them very much and am a little sad they are more of a side relationship (still important mind you but not the main focus)

I think most people just dont wanna disturb you with questions over and over while you write the fics enjoyed by us all. Some may also be shy even while on anon to talk about heavier topics even when they should be talked about. Your writing is both very soft and really raw so its a huge honor to see such art still alive in these times of censorship and fake outrage at "taboo" topics. I for one find your stories as a breath of fresh air. You show the ugly and the beautiful, the love and pain of existance.

You know what your specific style of writing reminds me of so fondly? Hannibal fanfiction. The beauty in destruction and rebirth, the horrors making way for a love story not many can comprehend.

But that's just my humble opinion 🤷‍♀️

that really means a lot to me because i want to explore things like grief and pain and all the bad things and be able to say that it'll be okay. my life experience has been much like that and i guess i just want to impart that in my writing so it's nice to know that people do feel that way <3 <3

i have thought about this a lot. like, way too much.

i do think they might have rings and i think they'd be very specific types of rings. it'd be no surprise that c!techno would make a simple gold band with an emerald for c!dream. it's gold. it's got green. it's practical. dream is practical. it fits him!

as for techno's ring.... have you ever seen those rings that are a beautiful piece of polished wood set in gold? it would be one of those. a piece of spruce wood, polished and stained, set in a band of gold. steady roots and precious metal. you get it.

oh, i like that! i've actually had the opposite: two kittens partially raised by a bunny!

rabbits on their own are very sassy. they're extremely passive aggressive. they'll thump at you over the smallest slights and they do this thing where they flop on their sides to show how unbothered they are when mad at another bunny. my baby bunnies have thumped at me because i took out their hay feeder to refill it....

so a bunny raised by cats would be such a little bastard <3

me, anytime i see a bunny or my bunnies do something: wow, that's just like one of my favorite characters, c!dream.....

Just want you to know your headcanon of Techno having a breakdown in prison has been rotting my brain… but I also can’t decide whether it does fit in the timeline where you said. Because at the beginning of the prison podcast Techno talks about the cell in a way that Dream yells, “it’s not a vacation!” though clearly his ‘it’s not getting old’ is sarcastic but just seems weird for Dream to almost give a serious reaction to Techno’s sarcasm. Then there is the whole “oh you’re getting tortured? I can not relate to that at all’ comment which has always been slightly strange to me since it’s surely not like this is new information so I suppose it’s just a joke but than Dream says how he hasn’t been since Techno has been there like he’s again answering honestly to a joke which is weird… I don’t know. Then again, there’s also the fact of Techno getting Dream to dig out the toilet, which I always interpreted as an unserious thing meant to give Dream hope, but now that you mentioned the context of Philza not activating the pearl perhaps it was a more serious idea than I thought. Perhaps that’s why he asked Dream what he usually does to pass the time in the cell when that seems like a question that should have been asked earlier because now he’s at the point where he’s realized that now he’s really stuck in the cell….. thoughts?How do you interpret some of the comments they make during the podcast that don’t make sense timeline wise but are for the benefit of the audience and that Dream seems to answer seriously?

i think the key to most of this is in your last sentence: for the benefit of the audience.

the problem with the dsmp is that some events take place off-screen and then some events take place solely on someone else's stream. so information isn't always available to the current viewers. a lot of the seemingly weird comments that c!techno in particular makes feels like cc!techno doing a '''previously on''' bit.

we know c!dream is being tortured. c!techno is also notoriously bad at dealing with more intense, serious things unless backed into a corner so the joke about being tortured isn't out of place. he would awkwardly make that joke. but c!dream, who is clearly dealing with a lot including memory issues and other mental health issues, answering that quip with an honest reply is both in character and something that informs the audience of what's going on. now we know that c!quackity has been keeping up his daily visits. same thing with the comments on the cell, really. it's a mix of '''previously on''' that's in character for techno to be joking around about their circumstances with dream's kinda disjointed 'oh this guy is not fully alright' responses. it's giving info that people might've missed and updates to how they're handling this (not great, could be so much worse).

as for the toilet thing, i think it can be both! i do think techno had dream do it because he clearly needed something to do. he was actively self-harming which techno was aware of. he can't do that if he's trying to escape, right? and maybe having a '''plan''' will make him feel better about their circumstances. but also c!phil was supposed to read the book after a few days and he clearly hasn't and techno might be trying to kill two birds with one stone.

anyway, i definitely always take an approach to the dsmp lore where i consider everything lore but i also feel like you can't forget the medium or the outside factors, including this was a collection of streams that not everyone was watching all pov's of. some of these little weird moments i view as like. if this was a tv show, a character would've said something that triggered a flashback or just done a clunky 'if you remember, [insert thing that happened two episodes ago].
