I also like the complexity of the relationship here -- even right at the beginning of the arc lucanis has some tenderness for and understanding of spite's fundamental innocence in having been put in this situation too, for all the resentment and fear and frustration that's also there. and if spite didn't actively force him to every step of the way I don't think lucanis would ever have actually faced up to and acknowledged the fact that he has y'know. the actual needs of a human being and can't persist on coffee and workaholism alone. it fucking sucks that all of this happened. but also. there's a crack in everything that's how the light gets in etc. like. god. okay then I guess)

It makes sense that the HTTYD Vikings wouldn’t know this while they were fighting for their lives against Furious’ forces but….Furious declared war on ALL of humanity right?? Did he just start with the Vikings and the Americas have no fucking clue what might be about to hit them? Is everyone else just chilling or did HTTYD become an alternate history series off screen while dragons stole Visigoth valour and fridged the Roman Empire hundreds of years earlier? Aka were their multiple fronts to the red rage that attacked other human societies or did Furious pile all of his forces on the Vikings? Is this a post apocalypse novel set in America where secretly the rest of the world is totally fine and the Americans don’t know?

Some of the comments on promo material or on tumblr make me question, how many people remember this isn’t real life? HotD isn’t real, you don’t need to argue with strangers on the internet over this. Debate the show by all means, that’s the point in a way, to discuss the good and bad of BOTH sides because neither is perfect. But someone liking Team Green doesn’t mean they’re a r*** apologist or misogynistic, they just like the complex characters. Someone liking Team Black doesn’t mean they advocate for murdering kids, they just like the complex characters.

That fact applies to liking either side, you just like the complex characters. His name isn’t Aemond, it’s Ewan. Their name isn’t Rhaenyra, it’s Emma. His name isn’t Daemon, it’s Matt. Not Alicent, but Olivia. Not Aegon, but Tom. People who’ve showed up, put on a wig and done their job, they don’t need people going to war for them in the instagram comments, or completely cussing them out in the comments either. They’ve been paid, they enjoy their job, they’re not losing sleep over what Team the viewers chose to support. Chill tf out

Clone wars AU where the chips never got activated. In the aftermath of Palpatine’s death, the troopers are so horrified by the thought of Order 66 that they go hole up in Kamino. The Jedi let them do it for a few weeks while they’re unfortunately too busy cleaning up the mess, but then they just,,,,, camp outside their front door. For months. The clones will not outstubborn them this time, no sir. They brought umbrellas, food, books, and lots and lots of tea. So much tea. Soon they’re having little mini festival days waiting for the clones to come out already. It is very confusing for the vode.

On one hand, order 66. Chips. Horror. Their life is even more of a lie, they don't want to hurt the jedi, they're ashamed of essentially being a Trojan horse to the Jedi.

On the other hand, apparently the jedi are all idiots who camp out in the ever pouring rain and are they building a mini temple on our front porch??????

i think i could make for a funny insane fictional character that seems normal at first glance and then unveils their insane side BUT you find out this one's also just an exaggeration and in fact this character is just extremely sad and tired and has no sense of identity so they latch onto a made up persona. ahem. for no real reason idk i just think i could pull it off
