stayed up late to play splatoon with my little sister who's on a horrible sleeping schedule rn and when I went to lay down in bed my joint pain and finger mobility suddenly felt so weird I couldn't control my hand (real) and I had a panic attack instantly thinking I wss having a stroke (not real) 馃槕 90% of the panic attacks I've had this year happened like as soon as I laid down to go to sleep. don't even know how to prevent it other then literally don't stop sleeping and napping in case you accidentally go over 12 hours of being awake and start to decline mentally. lying on back is the worst for anxiety even on a good day I can't stay like that without getting anxious for no reason and lying on my stomach is my preferred position but I can feel my heartbeat too much like that T_T and side isn't good either because I always have to switch and then I get scared.. not to mention how one side is going to feel uneven and make me think it's finally happening...
#the worst is that i know something is genuinely wrong and it makes everything im worried about more likely#when i worked as a dishwasher/general cleaning whatever i would walk for like 8 hours per shift 3 times a week#but every night i would come home feverish and it would last until days later when i was supposed to be in class#snd it didnt end for months even when i got used to it i kept getting so cold and feverish and constantly in pain and asleep i missed class#and a specific type of pain always comes with the fevers whuch is low back pain which when i first got it i was 18#and it made me collapse suddenly while walking down the stairs out of nowhere#thats when my hands started getting tremors and started having issues moving fingers right they lock and dont listen#and now im realizing the shape of my hands is so different now my fingers are so crooked and one finger has an obvious nodule on the joint#i thought it would get better because i thought antipsychotics caused my hand issues#but it just keeps getting worse and if it's like this now what will ot be like when im older#i know im b12 deficient i was hoping i couls solve that and not be in pain and tired but i think that's just a resultand not the cause#im in pain now too my body just hurts it was gone for a while but lately it's one of the worst and i didnt even do anything this time

Thank you anon, I have very mixed feelings about it. On the one hand trying to change over my whole diet and eating habits after having grown up on bread and gluten products is scary and overwhelming, on the other hand, even after ~2 weeks of cutting gluten, I've noticed a big difference in my body and energy levels. I can go eat a meal now without feeling like I need to pass out for 3 hours afterward and also my insides feel a lot healthier now.
I think I have to start eating gluten again before I go get tested, which I don't really want to do considering I'm 90% certain gluten is what's doing this to my body, and knowing how it makes me feel, I don't want to have to do that to myself intentionally. Because it sucks. I felt so weak and sick after meals when I was eating gluten, and now that I'm eating gluten free it's hardly ever happened.
I wish there was like a lactose equivalent gluten pill, but alas, there is not. I'll just cheat sometimes and have a breadstick with dinner as a treat. As long as I have nowhere to be afterwards or the next day even.

had bloodwork done on friday and my doctor called this morning. turns out the mood and physical health changes they blamed on depression is actually a severe b12 and iron deficiency which has probably been long standing and caused permanent damage馃榾
anyways this has been a PSA that if u feel like something is off but no one will listen u are probably right and the doctors should listen and do tests !!!! don鈥檛 let them brush u off

Well. Not to be too excited before this happens more than once but -
Took magnesium before bed yesterday and... I slept through the night after falling asleep more easily, waking up as refreshed as I haven't in years. I don't feel sluggish, the usual feeling of needing to crawl back into bed is gone and I'm absolutely feeling capable to take on the day???
Will report back but if this is what was missing for a healthy life for me I will cry tears of joy.
#I went to so many doctors and had so much blood work done and everything came back great#I was getting desperate so a guy took to tiktok of all things after even google wasn't really helping#granted when I heard TAKE MAGNESIUM multiple times I also had the epiphany to grab the printout I requested from my endocrinologist#and I started checking the various results that bordered on too high or too low#or were actually in the slight high results etc#and voila. some of them according to google often require b12 and magnesium to stay checked#TLDR This might have been what was wrong and I am praying this will keep me more active

I keep forgetting to ask, but do y'all have any recommendations for B12 supplements that are like liquigels (or whatever those are called) instead of tablets? I'm allergic to at least one of the inactive ingredients in the B12 supplements I've tried, but I have never yet had a reaction to inactive ingredients of liquigels (capsules? what are those called?) At this point, I am not looking for any particular dosage of B12; my doctor just wants me to try it to see if it helps with severe muscle cramps. Once I see if it works, she's going to do more bloodwork and determine which dosage I should be taking (I have had other bloodwork to rule out other possible causes, and at this moment B12 is the only thing I'm testing low on)
