Colorful Scotts - Prompt/Idea

I told you guys, I have a problem-

Anyways, Scott Clones. All are different types of hybrids as a reference to Afterlife SMP. Some are directly from Afterlife (as you will see) but others will be my own idea to fill out the colors.

Scott Clones:

Red - Vampire Scott, material girl, loves blood, confident, has a crush on Solidarity (”You’re gonna take me out? :D”), favorite blood type is Solidarity (just Solidarity)

Orange - Red Panda Scott, loves to sleep, cuddles a lot with the others, shorter than most of them because red panda, will climb in small hidey holes because cute, often with Tango because Tango is warm and red panda likes it

Yellow - Angel Scott, angel of justice, nontraditional angel, you cross him and he’ll make you regret it, has his own rules you should abide by, decorates Tango a lot in glowing jewels because he is more often than not mining for redstone and such, it’s just to help him, he doesn’t have a crush, what’re you talking about-

Green - Mothling Scott, tiny boiiiiiiii, actually hangs out with Vampire Scott the most, loves lanterns, loves Tango a lot because hair glowey like flames and ooooh light-

Teal - Normal/OG Scott, having gay panic because all his clones like Solidarity and he does too but also Solidarity is married to Tango so like what is he suppose to do? little does he know Solidarity and Tango wouldn’t mind a polycule

Blue - Mermaid Scott, underwater, loves to sing, will forget humans can’t breathe underwater because “look at my house :D”, can go on land, but only for a little, has (and will do it again) dragged Tango into the water despite Tango no knowing how to swim, he just wants blaze boy to cuddle with him-

Purple - Ender Dragon Scott, can fly, gets hurt in water, known to hoard things and people (specifically Solidarity), will teleport at random, doesn’t like Overworld food, only lets Solidarity and Tango pet behind his ears

Pink - Fairy Scott, makes flowers when walking in grass, always smiling, loves to flirt with Solidarity because it makes him flush and that’s cute, loves to make flower crowns

White - Cat Scott, obsessed with Solidarity, loves to lay on laps, always tired, purrs and meows, calls himself the “New Norman” as a joke, Solidarity doesn’t mind because loves cats

Black - Demon Scott, incubus to be exact, incubus who feeds off affection in general, doesn’t have to be just sex, physical affection is his love language, feeds off Solidarity and Tango a lot because they have so much love to give and it doesn’t bother them

Hey folks, are you ready for some Necrons?

First up, we have 40 warriors. I think there are like 25 more in my cases, but they’re all pretty similar and I don’t know how many more I could fit in frame. I think I mentioned a while back that I started playing in 4th edition, and back then this is how Necrons were played! Swarms of warriors.

As a side note, a lot of these were actually from yet another friend of mine who played Necrons and later got out of the hobby. He played much earlier than the friend who I painted these for though, so if you see any old metal models they’re likely from him. What is it with my friends and Necrons?

Next we have my two small squads of Immortals. One squad of new models, and the other of old metal models. I understand why they stopped making the glowey green bits, but they really do add a lot to the army as a whole. And as a bonus, I can cut up the extra sprue to make crystals for their bases.

Third, there are some of the newer elite models. I actually had to look these up just now, since I’m still not all that familiar with the modern codex. Lichguard and Deathmarks is what they are.

Then there’s the obligatory squad of Destroyers and a couple Heavy Destroyers for extra firepower. Again, these are classic models from back when I played a lot more and every Necron army looked the same. But hey, they get the job done. I remember having a tough time fitting the glowey rods into the guns of the Heavy Destroyers. They’re made of metal and didn’t seem to be sized quite right.

Finally, there’s the old Spyder and its compliment of Scarabs. The rules have changed for this thing, so I added the little guns on top so that it sort of matched. The whole body is metal, it’s a heavy model.

That pretty much does it for the infantry of the army, although I do have some unpainted models still to complete. Whenever I get around to it, my next post will be about the hovering vehicles and jetbikes.

Thank you!!! To be completely honest, I'm not quite sure what I'm doing that makes things glow but I will try to explain ^^;;

So there are many factors that can go into making something glow. One thing I do a lot is duplicate my lineart layer and use gaussian blur on it. I lower the opacity on the duplicated/blurred layer and it creates an effect like this:

You want to make sure it's subtle, it's very easy to go too far and make the blur too big or too dark! I blur it JUST A LITTLE and adjust the opacity accordingly. Then, after coloring, I almost always add some sort of effect layer, such as overlay or color burn. In this piece I used a lime green color burn layer.

As you can see this can have a very dramatic effect on colors, and it gives color to the Gaussian blur!

In this piece I used a desaturated blue overlay layer, it is hard to tell but it did give the blur a blue tint rather than just black/grey! AND THEN FINALLY, specifically when working lineless, I like to use a procreate brush I downloaded called "Bardot Speckle" in the background behind whatever I want to glow. Make sure the background is dark so the glow stands out against it! Any speckle brush should work. Adjust the hue and opacity until you get the desired outcome.

This trick is especially potent in making things glow! I hope this helps and makes at least a little sense!! Comparing Megaman robot masters to Megaman Battle Network netnavis part 3

okay not gonna lie I’ve got a bit of a migraine forming so gonna do my best to be brief and quick with this one

First up is Needleman and Needleman.exe

Classic looks like a retrofitted Airman but oddly enough I kinda prefer it this time. Force gem or whatever the random glowey bits on robot masters are called is in a weird spot but it’s not too be a detraction

.EXE looks like a png-tuber who complains about the problems of forced diversity. Dreamworks smirk looking headass. Also weirdly enough in the anime they gave this navi to a (relatively) fleshed out version of the twin sister of the teacher character. Not putting that towards the score but figured that was neat (also Ms Yuri can step on my thro-)

Point (eheh) in favour of the Robot Masters, giving us a score of 11-6

Next is Magnet Man and MagnetMan.EXE

Classic is...kinda bare bones with the idea. Looks like someone in a bootleg Magneto cosplay.

While the chest of .EXE being another, larger magnet along with the magnet helmet, I do like the kind of studded look to it, Gives it a kind of knuckleduster look to it which while not matching the initial theme matches with him being less of a partner to his user and more of a bodyguard/hired muscle. I also like the fact they gave him a sort of brother/copy in blue for his signature North-South Tackle

Point to the navis, giving them double the RM’s score with 12-6

Skipping GeminiMan and HardMan we have TopMan and TopMan.exe

...I really do not see how any robots, even a Mettaur, could follow TopMan even with the RobotMaster tech

Meanwhile I have a big soft spot for this gaming geezer. The video I’m ripping o-I mean was inspired by mentioned how TopMan.exe looking like his owner was a ‘problem’ with a lot of navi but I love it. It also makes the theming work a bit more, with the owner being a crotchety toy maker.

Unlucky for the Robot Masters, it’s now 13-6

Ssssslithering into frame is SnakeMan and SnakeMan.exe

SnakeMan is probably my favourite design from 3, even if it’s relatively goofy.

I vaguely remember being creeped out by SnakeMan.exe in the anime, despite its clown vomit of a colour scheme. The arms at the back of the head kind of make it awkward. I feel like if they appeared in their own jars it’d work a bit better. Also the...flames(?) so SnakeMan.exe can actually move seem a bit out of place.

Point in favour of the robot masters, 13-7

Next up, SparkMan and SparkMan.exe

...I’m gonna be completely honest I have nothing to say for either case.

The lighter orange and addition of yellow to make it read more at a glance it’s a electric boss is alright, but leg down by the adition of green

...I’m calling it a tie. Maybe it’s the headache or the fact I do not have an attachment for either design but I’m just so...apathetic.

Now these are ssome damn good designs!

The classic’s night sky blue armour referencing the real life ninja uniforms (the all black ones were more of a theatre thing) along with the sorta...I forget the right word but fishnet ‘undershirt’ is a big plus for me. And while I’d argue the pure white parts ruin the whole stealth idea...ehhh, it’s not like he’s stealthy in the game anyway, and his navi self’s not dressed for stealth.

But what he is dressed for is to look so damn cool. Strider levels of oversized scarf, purple will always get you bonus points with me, and the legs looking like the tradition sandal look

...this is another tie but I genuinely think that these two are 10/10 designs that are just two different looks of the same theme.

Which ends this post with the score being 15-9. Genuinely surprised at how close it’s been so far.

Since I’ve got some shifts coming up, I probably won’t be posting again until Sunday at least...or who knows maybe I’ll surprise even myself. Cioa ‘til then

Day 12: Magical 🪄

Coming in full swing! I love making my art super glowey and magical so I was definitely having fun with this one! The color palette was something I had a bit of an issue with at first, but I think they ended up looking pretty great! I will always stand by a green + purple color palette.

I love Johnny cage. I just wanna completely rewrite him. Because NRS doesn't take care of the characters i feel.

Like im completely getting rid of that bullshit "ancestors gave me powers" thing. And him and sonya just be friends. Because if im being honest,i dont really want sonya Romantically with anyone. Because we dont need her to be and she never came off to be as that type. Ever.

@skincare Anon: Kate is known to use lots of expensive facials by top aestheticians in London, apparently recommended by her, by Camilla. Privately, I also feel she gets Botox done from time to time but according to reports she’s quite obsessed with having good skin & has a green smoothie (apparently spinach- kale-grapes-blueberries-coriander etc go into it) she exercises which promotes good circulation resulting in glowey skin, she apparently also loves Trilogy Rosehip oil, you can just Google & you’ll find many articles on Kate’s skincare routine.

And as a fellow skincare obsessee, I heart that you too love skincare! You’re too young to get any treatments as such done, but you depending on your skin type etc you could consult a dermatologist. You’re already doing super well by loving sunscreen! When you hit 25+ you can think of incorporating a Vitamin C serum but you’ve time to go for that.

So in honor of She-Ra ending and because I'm finally deciding to watch it (after it ends. Yes I'm one of those people who only watch things after they're done. Leave me alone) I decided to put together a list of things I do debatably know happens in the show.

I hope you enjoy my ramblings.

-Adora and Catra are gay.

-Adora has a horse that can talk+fly although I haven't seen much about her(?) recently and she(?) might be dead. The horse’s name is Swift Wind (I think.)

-Catra is an emotionally-repressed baby who deserves the world.

-so is Adora

-glimmer and bow are Adora’s best friends after she defects??? something like that bc she grew up w/ the bad guys I think

-glimmer is a princess (but a special one, I guess? She's apparently more important than the rest for some reason) and her powers are teleporting and sparkling. She eventually becomes queen bc her mom dies(?) something happens to her mom who I think is called angel but her dad who she thought was dead comes back so! It all balances out.

-bow is glimmer and adoras best friend and maybe glimmers boyfriend? I’m not sure. His powers are being the best boy and using a bow-and-arrow. I do not know if his name is bow because of that or vice-versa. Also he has two gay dads.

-there are lots of other princesses that exist and fight alongside She-Ra, who is Adora but tall. Those princesses include Perfuma, Mermist(a)?, entrapta (who is best girl), and the tiny mean ice-one. There is also two gay princess girlfriends(wives??) but I do not know their names.

-Scorpia is on Catra’s side until she's not and she, Entrapta, and Catra are BFFS. I know nothing about their relationships at all.

-there is a robot-man-glowey-eyed thing called Horzak (?) who we stan but there is another, bigger Horzak with lots of eyes who we do not stan. I do not know who they are, nor what they want. I'm pretty sure stannable Horzak was a bad guy but who knows.

-there is a lady named Shadow Weaver who Is The Actual Worst. no I will not be elaborating.

-at some point there's a dance (ball?) and catra wears a suit and she and adora fight-dance and its very gay.

-there is a character named Kyle. I do not know what he does, nor where he is, but he needs to STEP UP.

-there is a green creature named Double Trouble (that name sounds really wrong to me, but I can't think of what else their name could be) and I have literally heard nothing about them ever since their debut.

-people (adora) tend to fall off of many cliffs. She needs to stay away from cliffs.

-uhhhh there is pain. So, so much pain.

-oh also there is a (pirate?) man with a mustache who likes to set boats on fire. He is in love with the mermaid princess.

what're your thoughts on interior decor? whats the style that best fits you?

Hmmmmm.... I'm not really sure what fits me tbh. I've kinda had an odd situation in that, aside from one semester where I lived in a tiny dorm room with 2 other people, I've always lived with my family in the same house; we've never moved. So I've always had the same room. Also when I was very young, my mom, who does oil painting, painted my room for me and did cars and trains around the walls! So like, the lower half of the walls are green, the upper half is blue, and around the middle is a line of trains on two walls, and cars on the other two walls. And they look really good!

And when I was a kid, it was absolutely awesome! And I'd have friends over and they always thought it was cool! But now I'm 30, and while I still love that my mom did that for me, and am attached to it, I'm also like "ehhhhhh..... this is not an adults room" lol. That and, for both me and my family, money has never been very abundant, so new furniture is usually a low priority unless something just falls apart or is just unusable. And due to ADHD, it's hard to redecorate what's on the walls or the shelves, because if I do one thing, then I have to do all the things, and then I get overwhelmed and I don't redecorate ever lol. So my room is an eclectic mess of mashed up pieces from my whole life, and it's kinda not great tbh lol.

So honestly I don't know that I really KNOW what style best fits me, 'cause I haven't really had much of a chance to explore that. I have seen some room designs that have like rgb led strips as accent lights, so you can change the whole color of the room just with the lights, and I LOVE that idea. 'Cause I love glowey led lights. Which that usually works best on white walls, 'cause it's the best to have all the different colors show up right, but at the same time I don't want just have a room full of neutral tones. 'Cause I love like actual color in a room! I could not live in a house that was just all white, off-white, grey, and beige or whatever.

I think if I had to (or ever get to) decorate a whole house or apartment I'd do the main room with white walls, with like chair rail around the walls to put rgb accent lights behind shining across the walls, along with behind furniture and stuff. And then like black or maybe like brown furniture in the room. No light colored furniture; and brown kinda works as a neutral color. And then for other rooms, pick like a color to do that room in. Like a red bedroom, and do the walls in like a kinda tasteful red. Not like super bright pure red, something a LITTLE muted, but not too much so. And then like red blanket on the bed, and that could be a brighter red, but then like white pillows. Like white and black accents around the room. But have to make sure it's not mostly red and black 'cause that's over done and I don't want like an "ow the edge" kinda room lol.

Or like a room done in like earth tones, with browns and greens and a bit of yellow. Or like a room that's blues and purples. Also again LED accent lights behind furniture would be good, but if the room has a color theme then you've gotta go with a good complimentary color, or even just a matching color to help backlight things.

Also as for furniture itself, wood furniture is really good, but also I really like glass and metal stuff, I dunno.

Akko lore; Akko is a speed bearer. She absolutely loves her bearing because it's the same as Chariots. As a kid, she went to an event held by the college to see Chariot fight. At the event she got an oversized jersey that her parents got signed for her. 

She goes to LNU because of Chariot. Akko joins the track and field team for exercise and to develop her ability more. This is perfect considering Ursula is the coach and she can give Akko pointers without being too obvious. Akko heavily encourages the college to reinstate the fighting team. 

She meets Lotte and Sucy through the dorm because they get stuck living together. She also runs (literally) into Sucy at student orientation. Amanda meets her through the track team and the remainder of the green team meets her through Amanda. Akko ends up meeting Diana in a philosophy class they have together. Danny, of course, makes fun of poor Akko because she was supposed to take PSY 103 not PHL 103 (authors note: for my college PHL103 was intro to logic and i loved it). 

Track practice is directly after that class. 

The professor of PHL103 pairs them up at the beginning of the course for the remainder of the term. Because of that they have to become acquaintances. Which leads to them meeting each other's roommates and a bunch of other fun cute events. 

Akko considers the LNU Festival to be the only way to reach Chariot after all these years since she went underground. Also, she wants her picture next to the Chariot one in the hallway. 

Herself, Amanda, Hannah and Diana are the only ones who actually participate in the first LNU Festival. 

She's a sports psychology major (because Chariot), but she has no idea what she wants in her life and has crippling anxiety. She's mainly doing her required classes first before getting into anything. 

She doesn’t have a solid job because of track, but she does whatever she can to get some money. Which leads to some fun odd jobs around campus for a lot of the professors.

This au is called  Zipper au because “Zipper” is the nickname Amanda gives Akko. I will elaborate more on nicknames in Amanda’s section. (authors note: more than one person has asked about Diana’s nickname ‘Danny’ and I will be explaining it there)

Sucy lore; Sucy is a poison bearer. As in, she can detect if something or someone has poison in it/them. She can also poison someone if they are within two meters of her as long as she has the poison on her person. She does not have to touch or interact with them at all.

When she was young, she would wander out into the forest and pick mushrooms that were poisonous. She had a little secret poisonous mushroom collection. 

She works in the student garden on campus throughout the au for some cash. She only takes care of the mushrooms. Some even think she sabotages some of the other plants for fun (kekeke test subjects).

Sucy goes to LNU because of their specialized research course made by professor Lukic. Her major is the aforementioned specialized research study course. She wants to be the person that dissects cadavers, so she also has to do a bunch of medical classes. 

She meets the squad through Akko. 

Lotte lore; Lotte is a spirit bearer. She can generate spirits and ask them to do stuff. Most of them manifest like the little blue glowey dudes from canon, you know the ones.

She’s majoring in literature and minoring in creative writing. 

Nightfall is a thing in this au and the reason she loves it in the anime is the same reason here. However, instead of not wanting to be a writer, she DOES want to be a writer. 

Over the course of the au, Barbara and herself become really close friends and write together. They have a lot of classes together too. 

When Akko goes over to the blue team’s apartment for the PHL103 projects she has with Diana, Lotte goes with her to hang out with Babs. 

Lotte works in the library for some money. When the squad studies in the library they make sure to schedule it while Lotte is working. She brings them coffee and water whenever she can.

Yo,  WoW's Character creator is shit. Just putting that one out there. Don't get me wrong the initial models are fine, but when it comes to customisation of the actual character its pretty fucking limited. especially when you compare it to the multitude of slider scale options seen in other games. Curiously not much has really changed on this even in today's iteration of WoW. So lets jump into it. I am just going to mention a few of the races and the more iconic looks. If you, gentle reader, feel that there are looks missing that is because the looks are so fucking bland and indistinguishable that they are not even worth mentioning. Foresaken Male, is actually probably the best in terms of "individuality" i.e different looking from one male foresaken to the next.  First up Bondage Zombie, easily the most iconic look of the undead characters, leather straps to hold their skulls together, blind, yet at no disadvantage... I guess you don't question it as it's an animated corpse, and to be honest the rest f the undeads just have glowing eyes Angry Homer Simpson. One of teh "features you can pick for undeads is having their face ripped off. Nice. The lolling tongue: What says hero of the forsaken more than a missing/broken off Jaw? Troll Males... Trolls are solidly my favourite race but yeah pretty shit options: Make up, oddly wrapped up in with tusk size, you select tusks, some of them have make up sure The Dick Dastardly, those tusks, as a moustache, tell me you see this right? Orcs, ah orcs! staple of the Warcraft Series they are bound to have some good customizations right? Wrong, several shades of green and some pretty ugly faces! The Frankensteiner, shove a couple of bolts on this guy's neck, and gather your pitchforks. The 'Nice' Face for the Peon fans, "work work", "Something me doing?" etc etc Onto the Ladies, Just a quick on on the Ladies of WoW I do get a bit grumpy about their customization options, where make counterparts in the most part get to pay with facial hair and the size of their tusks, the women get "piercings", earrings or in a couple of cases a nose-ring, which given the quality of those models is barely fucking noticeable, bullshit #metoo A lady Dwarf, tbh they are better than the Male dwarves mainly because male dwarves are just different shaped beards meh Tired old Female Dwarf, I'd be interested to know who chooses this and why? What is the character fantasy here... Female Orcs, Back to Orcs! and it's the same story! Yup that is a generic angry Orc Female, tbh I'm glad they exist I think there was only like one or two Orc females in  Warcraft before, setting up like a Surfette/Arcee group orgy situation. This is the Nice Orc face, however in hindsight with those earings she is super chavvy, I kind of expect her in in a pink tracksuit pushing her kids about n a shopping trolley. Female Undeads, best for last, this is my favorite for change specturm, you can go from freshly dead (ed: still warm?)  to Fully decayed... Nice Why do undeads have glowey eyes? i guess its cuz the eyes would rot first, nice touch to keep that in mind. Crowning glory the full night of the living dead skullface model, yoiu know you wanna rock this look As I mentioned I have deliberately left off the more generic or ordinary looking customizations, and as you can see from above there is barely any alliance, Sorry but the hoard definitely has more 'character' the alliance has 3 very 'human' races Human, Dwarf, Gnome which are just humans of varying degrees of sizes (some of the skins are repeated over these races!) And you have the Nightelves left over and short of some being pink and some being blue, they all look very generic there is very little in the way of interesting there. TBH i am not a fan of the alliance, but since my beloved Paladins only exist there, I guess i'm stuck with different sized humans and purple Sesame Street characters.  Love and Taurens are fucking boring, Richie X
