Hi could please write one where the reader is bengali and celebrates Durga Puja with Lando in india ( ollie or kimi works too but I'm not sure if you write for them)?

I did a ‘spin the wheel’ and got Ollie.

Puja Vibes

Ollie was as white as white gets and his girlfriend was the embodiment of the Bengali culture prancing around. She had helped Oliver expand his horizon; taught him new experiences and delicious food. She will argue, that there’s no dessert like Bengali dessert.

So, when it was time for Y/N to return home for Durga Puja, Ollie would be joining her too since he had no races or prior commitments.

They hadn’t dated for long but Ollie had showered her with gifts on Christmas and taught her all his family traditions. Y/N just wanted to do the same for him.

At the airport, they landed together with Ollie in tow who was enamoured by the hustle and bustle of the city. He saw cows crossing the road like it was another Tuesday and no one batted an eye. Y/N pointed out all the building explaining the significance and the reason behind their construction during the colonial era on the way to her home.

At home, preparations for Durga Puja were in full swing. Y/N’s uncle and aunt had decorated their house ornately. Oliver greeted everyone.

The festivities would start the next day. Everyone was up bright and early for the invocation (bodhon) Oliver was mesmerised by the shining lights and the bright colours and the beautiful way Goddess Durga was dressed.

The main event was Maha Ashtami which Y/N’s father had great pleasure in explaining to Oliver. Oliver was like a kid in a candy store; eyes wide open and mesmerised by the events unfolding in front of him.

You would find the poor boy following Y/N around like a lost puppy. It was adorable watching him hold onto her saree palo as she walked in front of him. “Lemme hold your hand” Ollie whined. “Everyone is here for the festival. What will the elder’s think?” Y/N reasoned. In Indian culture, blatant show of affection was frowned upon especially in the older generations, the younger ones couldn’t care less. That’s why Ollie was walking around holding her palo.

They were stood next to each other while Y/N’s mother made the preparations for Maha Ashtami. “Your dress looks so beautiful. Red truly is your colour” Ollie said. “Thank you babe” she said. “How did you do this?” He asked playing with the folds. “My mum helped. I’m still pretty bad at tying a saree” she said. “Is that what it’s called? A saree” he said enunciating each word. “Yup, it’s an Indian traditional wear but everyone wraps the cloth around them differently, depending on the region of the country” she explained. His mouth formed an O in understanding.

They finished up the celebration with all the rituals being done and Oliver asking way too many questions each step of the way.

On the last day after Vijaya Dashami, after the immersion in the water everyone returned back home, exhausted by the events of the past days when Y/N’s cousin showed her a video; actually a few.

One video, had Ollie following her around like a lost puppy. The other one was of him holding her palo so as to not get lost. And the last one was straight out of a Shah Rukh Khan movie where Ollie’s watch had gotten stuck in her palo and he tried to free himself while actively trying to follow her and not let her know that he might fray her outfit. Eventually, he did free himself but his eyes never left her as he walked behind her.

She showed the video to Ollie and the Shah Rukh Khan scene from Om Shanti Om. Ollie was seen laughing, “didn’t know I would be getting my Bollywood moment this year during Puja” she said. “I’m happy I could be of service, m’lady” he said tipping his imaginary hat. “I would still have loved if it was Shah Rukh Khan” she teased. “Wow! I can’t believe this.” He acted hurt with his hand on his chest. “You are unbelievable.” She muttered pressing her lips on his cheeks. “Don’t try to bribe me with kisses” he huffed. “I’m not. I love you my cute little bear” she cooed. “I’m not cute” he huffed again. “Sure, my rasgulla” she laughed pinching his cheeks. “I like that dessert. Can I have some more?” He replied lost in thought. “I’m sure my mother will find great pleasure in feeding you” she said laughing. “Let’s go” she said pulling him along. “I love you Y/N.” Ollie called out while being dragged along. “I love you too” she replied turning to look at him.

Being around too much positivity tends to result in a migraine for Eph, and past a certain threshhold it can take him out the next day. He usually gets past this by keeping a healthy stash of monster candy around to mitigate the side effects.

His body temperature is on the cooler side. Like the cold side of a pillow.

Ephialtes loves kisses of all types, but he likes the ones he can savour the most. Light quick pecks on the cheeks and such will make him laugh and most likely he'll end up pulling you in for a proper kiss.

He likes spicy food. He also has a sweet tooth, particularly he enjoys anything caramel.

He enjoys cooking occasionally. Finding a good pairing for a nice wine, organising a lavish dinner for a guest. He's quite skilled at it. He sticks to heartier meals like steaks and stews but he's been known to bake a pie or two as well.

He likes slow dancing.

This is my first time doing kin tips so it might be a little hit-or-miss but see if any of these are helpful! I'm assuming this is in the context of ways to combat dysphoria/incorporate your kintype more into your daily life.

Raw Meat Diet: Obviously human flesh and raw meat isn't a viable option here unfortunately. @/forests-creatures created a good list of alternatives: Beef jerky, rare steaks, safe raw salmon & dried fruits. For sweet options, I'd say the red tongue-staining lollipops could work, as well as pink or red chocolate & red popping candy. Please research that what you're eating is safe beforehand! Tumblr is not a reliable resource.

Sunglasses & Sunhats: This tip was inspired by a similar vampires list! I'm not sure if your specific zombie kintype has a sensitivity to sunlight or is associated with the night but if so, incorporating sunglasses or tinted glasses into your day-to-day wardrobe might be an option! Sunhats don't blend in as well in the winter but there are rain & sun hats such as Tilley hats and other alternatives which you could use instead.

SFX Makeup: I used to do a lot of this a few years back! I absolutely encourage you to learn special effects makeup to create wounds or even just look a little more corpse-like. This is definitely not for the day-to-day but it's a fun hobby if you're okay getting a little messy! It can also lead into a potential career path. You can do some pretty effective stuff with some fakeblood, toilet roll, glue & foundation so it doesn't always have to be pricey. It's almost halloween so it should be the best time of year to gather supplies!

Apocalyptic Wardrobe: Ripped jeans are your friend!! I know not everyone loves skinny jeans (I certainly don't) so don't be afraid to find an old/cheap pair of cargos or wide leg trousers and make your own tears with some scissors. I'd recommend arm/leg warmers & fingerless gloves, which shouldn't look out of place now we're coming into autumn. Handkerchiefs can also look a lot like bandages. If you like to present more femininely, then messy ribbons & colourful braids in your hair can give the desired vibe.

Try Meditation: Zombies are sort of known for their head-empty, distant feeling from being undead so a healthy way of manifesting that could be through meditating! It's definitely a challenging skill to build but following a youtube guided meditation is a good place to start. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there were themed ones! (Maybe that's a new business idea for me... horror meditation...)

Go on a walk/hike: This is a common kin tip via the idea of connecting with nature. However, I think it works especially for zombiekin because you can recreate that feeling of solitude from the apocalypse.

Onto the more generic advice! I always recommend making a moodboard for your kin, which you can then use as the cover for a kin spotify playlist. Watching movies of your kintyoe is a common recommendation. In this instance I'd say include other apocalypse films/tv too!

A generic but less common tip is (if it's your sort of thing) make an oc/kinsona for your kintype and play as them in a game or roleplay as them online.

So, I have just come home from Alton Towers (a theme park) and of course my autistic brain went a bit nuts in the queues so here is my take on what stormlight characters would do at a theme park lol:

Adolin: absolutely loves everything about the place, gets stupidly excited and practically runs from ride to ride, gets pissed off when the others don’t move fast enough and THERES ONLY A 15 MIN QUEUE SO COME ON LETS GO! he screams and whoops on rides and eats too many donuts and candy floss. yes he is sick at the end of it but so fuckin worth it.

Shallan: enjoys the vibes of the park, absolutely fascinated with how each area is themed and sketches in the queues. she’s more reserved on the rides than Adolin, but does laugh hysterically on them instead of screaming.

Navani: yes she enjoys the park, but is more interested how the rides work. Dalinar has to restrain her from asking a million questions to the ride staff. she goes on the odd ride but is usually quite quiet, focusing on the feeling of the mechanics. she has a secret love of shitty churros lol.

Renarin: fuck the theme park, only goes to please everyone else. it’s too loud, too many colours and there’s people everywhere. NO, ADOLIN, I WILL NOT GO ON THAT DEATH TRAP. he is the personal bag watcher while everyone else goes on. The only thing he does enjoy is the carnival games and is a weirdly good shot, so wins shit tons of stuffed toys.

Kaladin: tolerates the group holiday. went on one big ride, felt terrified and mildly sick and decided to only go on small ones after. weirdly loves water rides, gets fuckin so hyped on the river boat rapids. he wants to enjoy the day more, but can’t help worrying a bit every time the others are on a ride in case it goes wrong.

Jasnah: weirdly enjoys the park and actually lets loose a little. she appreciates the idea of creating false reality for entertainment, mixed with the cleverness and thrill of the rides. absolute control freak tho, and has a detailed map and schedule for the day.

Dalinar: activates full on Dad mode. has everyone drank enough? there’s a lot of walking, has everyone brought appropriate footwear? SHALLAN PUT SOME SUNCREAM ON OR SO HERALDS HELP ME. actually loves the rides tho, and follows all the rules of the park to the letter. sits next to Adolin on a ride once and ends up going nuts and screaming with him.

Hoid: disappears for periods of time and refinds the the group now and then. he hacks the arcade games and keeps coming back with more coins. no one questions it when one minute he’s sat on a ride next to them and the next he’s suddenly not there…

You know the hyper-fixation hitting different when you make them Pokemon teams.

King Candy (Fairy): I made him a fairy type trainer, as the fairy type is often associated with sweets and other such foods. The fairy type also tends to fit his aesthetic, of shine, frills and pin- SALMON, i mean salmon. There is no other reason why he's this type (🏳️‍🌈).

Reasons:

Slurpuff: It's literally the "Meringue Pokemon", a french dessert / candy. It's also pink and white, and has a general silly vibe to it.

Grimmsnarl: Fairy/Dark type to cross-over with Turbo's team, and shiny to match colour themes more. Probably makes more sense on Turbo's team than it does here, but I wanted to have atleast one Pokemon the same on each team. Fantasy vibes, so kinda fits with the King idea? I feel King Candy could get away with that one as part of the disguise.

Alcremie: The "Cream Pokemon". Essentially same reasons as Slurpuff, to fit with the whole candy sweet thing. (I feel like he'd have the Salted Cream variant, red and white, but I couldn't figure out how to change it on the website)

Rapidash: Fantasy vibes, but also because of Skittles, the uni-candy-corn that was going to be King Candy's familiar/pet before being scrapped from the movie. (also, the hair looks like taffy and the horn like one of those Oreo ice cream cones)

Mawile: Large teeth and metal, huh? Themes of eating and deception? Pretending to be something you're not? Sweet face, but vicious? Never heard of that before. (CYBUG CANDY CYBUG CANDY CYBUG-)

Dachsbun: Last food based fairy type? Again, fits same role as Slurpuff and Alcremie, to sell the disguise.

Non-fairy/ Other options: Mimikyu (fairy, disguise, vibes too creepy for KC), Mr. Mime (fairy, jester, vibes too creepy for KC), Vespiquen (royalty), Bisharp (knight), Nidoking (royalty), and Politoed (described as leader of frogs)

TURBO (Dark): I made Turbo a Dark type trainer, as the Dark type is all about trickery, disguise, thievery and dirty tactics, which Turbo exemplifies. Also, the Dark type is generally seen as the """Evil""" type.

Reasons:

Weavile: The fastest dark type (excusing any legendaries or special forms), which I feel Turbo would value greatly on his team. The red and the smug face also hint to his design.

Zoroark: Oh, so your whole thing is disguises and you're literally the "Illusion Fox Pokemon"? AND you're red? On the team.

Grimmsnarl: Fairy/Dark to cross over with King Candy's team, and shiny to match colour themes more. Personally, I think Morgrem fits Turbo more (a short asshole), but the shiny of Grimmsnarl fits more and I don't believe Turbo would be caught dead with anything considered inferior, like a not-fully-evolved Pokemon. Only the best for the king, after all.

Sharpedo: FAST. It's a torpedo, and it's described as "the bully of the fear" and as being to "swim at speeds of up to 75 mph" which, while not as fast as a race car, true, is still pretty fast, and I think he's admire that.

Spiritomb: Something something death imagery, something something back from the dead, something something your misdeeds will not go unpunished.

Thievul: THIEF >:( Getting his grubby hands all over Sugar Rush, all over that code that's not his. Also red and also Thievul deserves more love.

Non-dark / Other options: Revaroom (CAR POKEMON. WHY AREN'T YOU DARK TYPE), Rotom (Possessing and transforming machines, like a virus...maybe I should've made him a ghost type trainer-), Parasect (TURBO IS THE FUNGUS /ref but also parasite themes and bug), Bisharp (Vibes mainly, also Pawniard looks like him), Rapidash (speed, and to pair with KC), Gengar (creepy smile glowing eyes wombo combo), Mimikyu (disguise, somehow didn't fit the vibe?), Banette (something about something from your childhood being replaced by something horrible. also, yellow eyes and teeth), Darkrai (something about childhood nightmares) and Hypno (yellow? i dunno, i'm a Hypno fan, I gotta get her in somehow).

For basically the whole series, Muichiro can barely pay attention but he does laugh at a few of the jokes. He likes Princess Bubblegum and the candy people the most, since all are really cute to him

Iguro Obanai

Obanai is quite the villain man, so most of the series is mediocre to him until the Lich’s arc begins, where he is very into the narrative. He likes only the Lich as every other villain is meh to him

Kamado Tanjiro

The Kamado of righteousness loves the hero of righteousness! Tanjiro kins Finn like crazy as he admires his heroic, good nature. He likes the series overall and loves the more wholesome episodes the most

Himejima Gyomei

How is he watching this show? Gyomei, for some reason, likes Jake the most so any episode with Jake has his undivided attention and is liked a lot. He always uses and condones Jake’s wise quotes. The show overall is decent to him

Shabana Gyutaro

Gyutaro does seem like a villain man but he actually isn’t! He doesn’t really have a overall favourite character but he loves siblings, so he’d say Finn and Jake. He has seen the show a ton, due to Daki loving it. He classifies the series as “very good”

Kocho Kanae

Like Tanjiro, Kanae loves the series for it’s cute friendly adventures and her favourite character is Flame Princess since she adores characters with pure golden hearts. She also likes the candy people as they are cute and colourful

Urokodaki Sakonji

Sakonji likes the more intense/eerie episodes the most(such as No One Can Hear You and All Your Fault) as the themes are well executed but everything else is adorable to him. He surprisingly likes Marceline for her mixed dark and sweet demeanour

It’s suspected that Giyuu likes the darker episodes but no; the cuter the episode is, the better it is to him so about 70% of the show is loved. His favourite is the Huntress Wizard as he relates to her demeanour

Another one who adores the colourful and cheerful vibe of the series so most episodes are liked a lot. Senjuro relates a lot to BMO so he kins BMO and loves the episodes based around the little robot

So we have synesthesia, this means our senses are a bit fucked and things are Weird [sound has colour. Taste has colour. Colour has feeling. Words have colours. Sooooo many colours dhdjsjsjfjfs]. It's actually kinda common and a fun rabbit hole to fall down if you ever want something to look up on Wikipedia lmao but anyways!

We usually go with vibes when it comes to colour associations but we also don't Choose what associations we get for what colour if that makes sense. I thiiink our reasons for associating y'all with DARK blue specifically is because your blog theme is mainly black, but your url is a lighter blue! The purple comes from, well. For us blue and purple are heavily associated with each other [for no reason really fjdjsjskdkd they're like brothers to us. But Heart and I forming here and being associated with blue and purple respectively just made that association stronger LMAO] so it's like a "you can't separate them" thing.

I just love cringetober 2023 for giving me the opportunity to draw stuff I’d probably never draw willingly in my own free time… slutty cat-man bleeding melting candy??? honestly, this was too much fun

the prompt: day 14 — candygore! I have never even heard the word before seeing it on the list. had to consult google and was actually going to pass this one, due to having no knowledge and, frankly, no interest in this whole uhhh thing(?), BUT THEN. like lightning out of the clear blue sky, destielconfession (yes, that’s his name) appeared before my eyes! countless hours spent watching drawfee resulted into me remembering that he’s supposed to be candy themed/coloured (???) (can you plainly see that all I know about neopets comes from drawfee, or more accurately one particular member of drawfee?) anyway, I thought he fit the vibe, so I went with it! thank you, karina from drawfee (she’s on tumblr, check her out!!), for this guy, who helped me to fulfil the prompt!)))

Day 10 – Food

Zet – Zet is no picky eater at all, she’ll eat anything from stale to spicy. But she found that whatever the Granmeowster cooks for her, she eats with a bit more gusto.

Mei – Mei is an absolute glutton, she looooves eating a lot, but she can’t handle too fatty things, even if she enjoys the taste a lot. Her fav have to be fresh, cool, juicy fruits though. She just associates them with home and her childhood, so they have extra meaning on top of the delicious taste.

Chidori – As good as Yomogi’s dangos are, Chidori doesn’t see them as her favourite food (she will never tell Yomogi that though.) Chidori loves sour foods, so she often purchases sour rock candy from Rondine. And yes, Chidori is the kind to just crunch that kind of candy between her teeth.

Day 11 – Inventory

Zet – Efficiency is the name of the game. Zet’s pouch is almost empty, she only has the essentials for anything. Mega Potions, armour and demon drug, and anything necessary for the specific quest, be that nullberries, antidotes or traps.

Mei – Mei is a bit chaotic when it comes to her inventory, she tries to always carry basics like potions and paint balls with her, but she often gets so excited to get going that she forgets a lot.

Chidori – Girl has no idea what she’s even doing, so she just has everything at hand at all times. Potions? Check. Enhancing potions/berries? Check. Traps? Check. Ammo even though she doesn’t use bowguns? Check.

Day 12 – Symbolism

Zet – The Guild had always stamped Zet as the “bringer of calamity”. While she was the hunter that always brought peace to any community she found herself in, it was always like the monsters flocked to her and made even simple quests a lot more dangerous. In the New World, however, she’d become the Sapphire Star, light shining bright even amongst the most hopeless chaos. Instead of being seen as something that attracts calamity, she’d be the one that brings hope and motivates people to hold up their heads high and fight on.

Mei – If I had to associate anything with Mei, it probably would be the colour red and the sun. Mei has reddish pink hair, she always wears her red Mahana dress and she has to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather Red. She’s also a very passionate and loving person.

As for the sun, I don’t call her sunshine incarnate for nothing. She has a very sunny disposition and a smile as bright as the midday sun. But she also has this small, calm smile that is very disarming and comforting, quiet and calming like the sun setting at dawn.

Chidori – I don’t really have any symbolism for Chidori, which is maybe also cos she’s too young of an OC for now. As said in the monster section, I do associate her with Gargwas, which means she has kind of a danger sense. She feels when something isn’t quite right, like when Narwa fell through the floor or when they beat Malzeno. She has like a Spidey-sense, just MH edition. Gargwa-sense?

Day 13 – Music

Zet – Hmm, I personally just associate the World/Iceborne soundtrack with her, though more the mellow or building music. My fav Monster Hunter song is “Succession of Light” (the Iceborne main theme) and I think it parallels Zet’s character growth in it’s music a lot, so if I had to pick one song for her, it would be this one.

Mei – Man, this music question is really hard, cos I really have never thought beyond the game’s soundtrack if I’m honest XD Though, if just going music based on personality, I’d say upbeat summer music fits her well. Not like, beach party music but just chill, fun music with ocean sounds. Kinda like, beach vibe bossanova. If shit hits the fan though, lets switch to chaotic jazz ahhahaha

Chidori – Again, I associate Chidori with the MH soundtrack, specifically the MH Rise soundtrack. Though, her nervous nature somehow also makes me think of meme music, like, acoustic versions of meme songs. Example would be the acoustic version of All Star by annapantsu, sth in that vein.

Day 14 – Habits

Zet – If she actively listens to you, she will stare directly into your eyes and barely blink. She doesn’t know she does it, but it freaks everyone out. She also has the tendency to knead things with her fingers when she’s concentrated or lost in thought. That mostly shows itself with her petting either Cry or Rev, but if you’re close by you can bet you’re getting some head scratches.

Mei – Personal space is a suggestion. People from Mahana are very touchy-feely, heck, their greeting is grabbing you by the cheeks and rubbing them, so Mei has the tendency to be way too close to people. Growing up so closely with monsties also makes her forget that not everyone is as comfortable being close to monsters, and especially not being chewed on by them, so she has to react quickly when, say, Asparagus keeps trying to gnaw on Kyle’s arm.

Chidori – Chidori has a bit of a hiding instinct. When she’s flustered, she always tugs her collar over her lips, or when she gets berated with someone she tends to hide behind that person. She also hides herself in a ball when she gets too anxious or exhausted. So, knees tucked, arms around and face buried in them, she finds herself a nice corner and doesn’t move for a while. With ppl she's close with she also rubs her face into or against them. Ya know, the kinda person who'd press their face into your shoulder when they're tired.

Day 15 – Half-way Free Space!

Zet – Zet actually underwent heavy character rewriting. Before World I always played as her, i.e. I always designed the same character and named her the same way, but I never really gave her a proper story or nailed down her personality. As you can see in the picture, at the start of world she was way more jovial XDD (btw. I already linked her to Fatalis before Iceborne even came out so the fact it ended with Fatalis was just fucking great on my end)

Mei – It shows that friends have only one braincell, because both @kathuman and I created our MH Stories 2 characters separately and they legit look like sisters, but like, down to a T. So Kitkat and Mei are sisters in some universe XD

Chidori – Her name is kinda a joke. I almost called her Niwa (garden) or Tori (bird), as Niwatori is the Japanese word for chicken, but I already have so many OCs with such short names, so I tried digging a bit more. I tried to find Japanese names that meant “being scared”, “scaredy-cat” or “chicken” or sth along those lines, until it came to mind that hey, I could just look up what Japanese Chicken breeds there are. Many breeds end with -dori or -jidori, and Jidori is just another way to write Chidori (if I understand correctly, it’s the same Japanese symbol and that’s just how it can be written with our alphabet), so I thought Chidori was perfect. It’s also kinda ironic, cos the name itself can mean “thousand birds”, with the first Kanji being “Thousand” or “Many”, and the second Kanji meaning either “Bird”, “Freedom” or even “Intelligence” or “Beauty”. So, people always think she was called that cos her parents wanted her to be a free spirit, and be intelligent, all the while she’s a scaredy cat that doesn’t want to leave her home and she’s dumb as bricks, not to mention she’s just called that cos she’s a chicken.

1. Thankyou for this question!! I LOVE colors and pretty color pallettes. I think its pretty obvious from my blog that my favorite color is definitely purple!!! It just makes me soo happy like I even have a whole pintrest board dedicated to purple images and it serves literally no purpose other than eye candy. It reminds me of space and the ocean and timelessness it just feels so deep and full of passion but also angelic and ahhh its just overall a beautiful color

Apart from that I love the color jade/emerald green. It just reminds me of being deep in a pine forest. (I love plants and greenery) And it also gives off amazing dark academia vibes that i am just here for. It just feels like a color so full of life and raw emotion. (Am I being dramatic?, sORRY moving on)

These are the two main colors im obsessed with! And what I love even more is that these are the colors of the ace and aro flags respectively (purple and green).
