a few moments pass before selene answers , partially in shock on how much kassandra had truly grown in the last time they've came face to face . how wise beyond her years she was and how , much she truly became the daughter of saint lunar as their father was her champion . she was grateful , a mental note taken to thank the moon goddess for shaping kassandra to the woman that stood before her . and instead of kassandra growing up angry as selene had - she was kind , patient eyes and was truly the best of them . kassandra could resemble their parents all she wanted , she could runaway like karisa had always done when she was lost in her thoughts or fear her emotions as their father had or take after anders' will to defend the honor of the ones he loved most . but selene knew , no matter how hard her sweet , little sister had tried ⸺ kassandra was the daughter of saint lunar . kissed by the moon and guided by her light , she was every bit of eden as selene was every bit of karisa . and maybe , in another life , selene could be granted the same .

I like to think that the extended family just hang around McDuck Manor. Sometimes, Drake chills in the living room, Selene does yoga in the hallways, Fenton and Manny casually build a Lego house on the steps of the stairs, Djinn has lunch with them etc. The actual residents all consider it completely normal.

But, as per usual when it comes to the Mcduck family, there's an equal chance that "hanging around" leads to chaos taking place.

Gyro could just as easily be trying to stop another evil invention from destroying everyone as he could be making coffee. Sure, Panchito and Jose might be grilling barbeque but they also might be engaging in a singing battle with a rival band who turn out to be nixies. It's possible that Fethry's there to borrow some books from Scrooge but it's also possible that he's come to warn the family about an old villain who's recently reappeared.

so dragon’s dogma once again took over my brain and i replayed it. also decided it’d be fun to make a lil chart of how the game world works. made a few assumptions (like where great dragons come from if an arisen kills their dragon but doesn’t fight the seneschal and the fact that i’m assuming the cycle can’t be broken by using the godsbane on yourself at the end of the game regardless of what is presented to you). i’m also assuming the dragonforged fought, lost his weapon, and fled which is why there’s an option for fighting the dragon but not killing it.

might start posting more hades 2 spoilers (under "hades 2 spoilers" tag) but

I was stuck on the Scylla battle in Hades 2 for a while, but in my last run I beat it and kept on going until I got to Chronos!! YAY. I didn't beat him but I got halfway through his health bar (a quarter bcus I assume he probably has a second phase. but still)

I really want to like. Flesh out my Adaar. However inquisiton has the problem with it's writing where everytime I think I have an idea of how I want selene's character to go, I don't have the flexibility to even sound remotely like her in game. Like her backstory is pretty interesting to me, or at least the one that I've concocted, but like. In game there's just so little there for me to cling to character wise. Like with Origins and 2, even before I started slamming a million headcanons onto my Warden and Hawke, I still had a grasp of their character. I didn't feel like I was doing ALL the work, yk? Like with Selene I've had to make an entirely different backstory from canon to give me investment into her.

And the thing is, I do really like the idea of her backstory! Shes a qunari who's parents were killed by humans. Those humans then took her in and raised her as an act of "charity". Her family was really religious, and expected her to also be so. The idea of a qunari Inquisitor who has the unique experience of being raised in a chantry surrounded by humans is soooo fascinating to me? And then her magic developed when she was 16 (very late bloomer lmao) so she ran away and became a mercenary. She briefly stayed with Valo-Kas, before her and another mercenary called Vashoth left for Selene to make her own group. Shes been leading this mercenary group for around eight years by the time inquisiton starts. And yet I can't have her act experienced on anything!! That, and by the time inquisiton starts she has an odd view of the Chantry and it's religion that I can only really akin to kinda being like Leliana's idea of The Maker (Leliana and her do get along pretty well because of this)

Like being able to explore what being a religious symbol would be like for a non human Inquisitor would have been so cool. But alas. I just idk. I'm procrastinating her playthrough because I don't feel like grinding and I don't wanna do plot so like. For some reason I always lose steam for inquisiton right before what pride has wrought. Like I have yet to actually beat inquisiton in one "sitting" (by that I mean not taking a 6+ month long break from the game)
