Story idea where sqh (or at least airplane?) is actually the first heavenly demon(/fallen angel diety official) so he can finally shut up about being lbhs dad lmao. In trying to get back he, in a shocking twist of fate, tries to hack the system and loses, getting tossed out of his own world and landing in some infants body in the modern world.

To balance it out Sqq is some eldritch monster who created xinmo and accidentally messed up so bad on a later project (the mobei clan and their teleportation powers) he got booted from the universe by an angry system and reincarnated.

And then the system comes back upon their deaths because it's own machinations utterly failed to change the fate of pidw and it's come for the only wild cards the universe has.

Yue Qingyuan loved his martial siblings, even if it was fairly chaotic all year round (half the time, it was because of a few certain individuals—)

His heart was very full of fondness whenever he sees young disciples playing around during their break time or when the older disciples come around to give the little ones advice.

He knows that outside of the mountain, there’s bound to be more horrors, but for the moment, he’s extremely relieved to see joyful children.

Admittedly, he’s more distant to them than he would have liked, being the sect leader and all, he has to focus on his responsibilities and reputation before being just Yue Qingyuan. Yue Qi.

These days, it’s more peaceful, he’s able to feel the weight in his chest lift slightly after Shen Yuan revealed who he truly was.

Yue Qingyuan was severely devastated, but… for the past few years, deep down, he had known that it wasn’t amnesia that plagued his martial brother. It was a sort of closure to know who what had happened to the real Shen Jiu instead of suffering in wait, wondering if Shen Qingqiu would ever remember their past.

After a few months, he’d created a makeshift grave for himself to visit.

Eventually, he realised that Shang Qinghua was probably a soul just like Shen Yuan, what with his informal (and shameless) behaviour and the foreign language he often spoke with Shen Yuan

Eventually, he found out that he was the one who had written his, and Xiao Jiu’s suffering.

He… well… he avoided the man for a long while.

Yue Qingyuan was not exactly the type to emotionally express his fury, not like Liu Qingge. In the end, he decided, it wasn’t fury he was feeling anyway.

Maybe he was far too tired to feel fury.

Looking back on it now, it was quite obvious, he was ashamed to admit that he should’ve probably have listened to Shen Jiu’s wariness towards the man

Though he supposed it went for the better since Shang Qinghua did help with the peak’s success in not being destroyed.

He was also little downtrodden at the realisation that he hadn’t known the small man that well at all.

Yue Qingyuan remembers one time, he was carrying a fevered Shang Qinghua to Qian Cao Peak. Shang Qinghua was quite delirious the , murmuring things he couldn’t understand. It was probably the world he came from, but Yue Qingyuan hadn’t known that at the time and rushed to the peak quickly and placing him gently on the bed.

Since Mu Qingfang hadn’t been there yet, his brotherly instincts took over and he takes care of his martial brother, trying to ease his furrowed brow and stop him from squirming. He brought him a cup of water and coaxed him to drink.

“Shh, Shang—shidi, it’s okay.” He hummed, remembering a tune from when he had sung to his Xiao Jiu a long long time ago.

It took a short time for the peak lord to settle, so he waited till Shang Qinghua’s eyes were fully closed to leave.

Surprisingly however, the man had caught onto Yue Qingyuan’s sleeve with wide and tearful eyes that made his heart sting.

His next words had made his stomach churn more.

“Baba… you told me you wouldn’t leave…” Shang Qinghua sniffled. It was obvious that he was still delirious from the fever and hadn’t recognised who he was talking to but… for a moment… Yue Qingyuan saw his Xiao Jiu. Yue Qi couldn’t muster up the courage to leave now.

Yue Qingyuan pursed his lips.

“W—Was I too much for you?”

Yue Qingyuan’s eyes widened before he finally rushed to his martial brother’s side, he couldn’t let Shang Qinghua think this way at all.

“No, of course not, just rest…Huá’er.” He brushed the loose strands behind his ear.

“You’re lying—!!” he cried, Yue Qingyuan only held him a little tighter, feeling terrified of what to say and not to say, “Huā’er won’t be annoying anymore, so please don’t leave, Baba!”

Yue Qingyuan could feel his heart shattering the more he listened.

Years later, Yue Qingyuan sits by his shidi’s table listening to Shang Qinghua admit to being this world’s creator.

One day, he asks mildly curiously. “Huá’er doesn’t have to answer, but this one was wondering. What was this lord’s old family like?”

“My dad was, Uhm… Yue Nuo. The character for promise.”

Yue Qingyuan squeezed Shang Qinghua’s hand.

YQY only smiles when he reminds him, “the family that you’ve found in this sect, in your husband’s winter palace, we will be here for you.”

He created Yue Qingyuan after his dad because he wishes that his dad actually had an excuse not to see him, he wishes that it wasn’t his fault that Shang Qinghua was left alone for so long, he wishes, but he knows that in real life, it’s not so simple. He knows that he’s unloved.

He sees his happy half siblings and he knows. He knows in every family reunion where he’s the odd one out, even when he tries to hangout with his half siblings. He knows it all.

So he pushes it all into Qi-ge and Xiao Jiu.

Eventually he realised that he bared a little too much of his soul to the world, so he scrapped their backstory.

Liu Qingge would probably blue screen and turn into that one math meme with the blond lady. Joke? What’s a joke? Is that something he can stab? Wait, it involves word play? That is intentionally cringey? How does that even work? Can someone please explain?

Shen Qingqiu on the other hand would vehemently insist that dad jokes are juvenile and beneath him. His reputation would tank if anybody heard him. So instead he says them quietly. Under his breath. Honestly he’s just mimicking the words he hears in his head in Qi-ge’s voice. At some point he whispers so often to himself his children begin to wonder if he’s talking to ghosts. Liu Qingge immediately plasters the house in talismans and squats in front of the house, waiting to slay whichever demon has bewitched his spouse. Cue hilarious misunderstandings and a mortified Shen Qingqiu.

One day I'm going to write a fic from SQH's POV and there's gonna be a giant elephant in the room. A horror element whenever he's chatting with SY!SQQ. Something off that he just gets progressively guiltier about.

SQH's System was abundantly clear that this was his hell (it was in his notes during a major depressive episode). That he deserved to live in the world he made and suffer the consequences.

Meanwhile, Peerless Cucumber never let up while SQH was alive. Was always there for him every time he posted. Basically aired out SQH's own grievances against the state of his writing. SQH didn't jokingly ask for rich fuck Peerless Cucumber to be his patron because...

🥒-bro was a ghost account. SQH created Shen Yuan. Used his own money to buy every chapter to rip it to shreds. It was therapeutic and deranged but it generated traffic like you wouldn't believe.

SY is exactly how he was written: madly in love with LBH and repressed about it and pissed that PIDW didn't have more monster lore and less papapa scenes. LBH deserves a happy ending!! WHERE WAS IT AIRPLANE !

SQH is in hell because his best friend-anti fan-meme generator is as imaginary as everyone else in this damned world. An NPC who holds the reins of their reality and is doing a bad job at making LBH happy because 🥒-bro refuses to let himself be happy.

Shang Qinghua is in hell but acts like nothing is wrong. He can't be OOC towards his Frenemy Bestie, his greatest black powder fan, his greatest real life con. SQH wants to lock himself in a room and sob himself hoarse but his eyes are dry and his smile remains stretched tightly over his teeth while SY rambles and complains about shit that doesn't really matter.

In this world SQH is the NPC and Cucumber-bro is the Godly Protagonist with wife beam eyes.

The translucent System-faced android next to him, scoring his every interaction and completely undetectable to anyone else, doesn't help either.

Nie Huaisang, Lan Xichen, Jin Guangyao, and Nie Mingjue all reincarnate together into PIDW, and become disciples around the same time as Luo Binghe.

The drama of this is of course enhanced by the facts that NMJ & JGY died "early," but NHS & LXC lived to the end of their natural lives as cultivators, and so some of their perspectives and opinions on events have naturally changed with age. (tfw the passage of time renders you unfamiliar to your once-loved ones)

Eventually they talk about their feelings and reconcile and such, and this ends up derailing the plot of PIDW severely as the rest of the PIDW characters confusedly observe quite possibly the weirdest disciples Cang Qiong's ever seen

NMJ on Bai Zhan, with no clue what's going on because he died first and NHS & LXC haven't told him anything

NHS on An Ding, thoroughly enjoying what's pretty much a vacation to him at this point and possibly running an interpeak illicit goods market (definitely not to distract himself from any of the emotions having NMJ & JGY alive and nearby would be causing him, Everything Is Fine) I haven't decided if he'd get involved with the whole og!SQH and MBJ situation tho

LXC on Qiong Ding, because I feel like he'd see himself in Yue Qingyuan and lowkey hate him for it and I think that could be interesting

JGY on Qing Jing, because he's the objectively the funniest/most interesting character to throw into the mess that is SJ and LBH. The way I imagine it, he's doing the most direct derailing of the plot, because he mostly accidentally gets right in the middle of the thing that is going on between those two

I feel like as I wrote this it became more serious than I originally intended so just know that I'm mentally picturing this like a fic that's interspersed with outsider POV of the 4 of them being completely deranged about eachother

(Also I'd feel bad taking away LXC's brother so LWJ and WWX + friends are busy doing hot girl shit being rogue cultivators. I think WWX should be a half demon so he gets to keep the cultivation and steal some of LBH's protagonist energy. If this was a fic then the rest of the Untamed gang would be perfect to use for side characters during off-peak missions)

Nie Huaisang is having too much fun waiting the two idiots called his shizun and shizun's poorly kept secret of a boyfriend go flailing around on these terribly unromantic dates BUT THE TWO WERE TRYING SO HARD that it was cute. He wonders if he should do something to help the poor idiots out... Should he?

Lan Xichen would be an old man and a good voice of reason for Yue Qingyuan. Although he's head disciple and a very good one at that (if only because his Big Brother instincts can't be held back and he MUST interfere to help prevent history repeating once more), Lan Xichen has made it very clear that he would never accept becoming sect leader.

Also don't forget Liu Mingyan in the background writing about a 4 person sex orgy. At least, that's her personal theory for why there's so much UNRESOLVED TENSION between these four sus male disciples. And also, because it's fun.

It's even funner when you consider that Nie Mingjue is out of the loop of Cang Qiong stuff even on Bai Zhan because he tags along on so many of Liu Qingge's missions that he's probably spending like 8 months of the year outside of the sect.

(Nie Huaisang gets "assigned" to missions that happen to take place near Nie Mingjue's hunts.)

Meng Yao is Meng Yao and he still craves the approval of Male Authority Figures That Could be his dad. Also Meng Yao still likes to climb up the social hierarchy and power. AKA Luo Binghe growing mushrooms in the corner at seeing ANOTHER QING JING disciple THE SAME AGE AS HIM being given SO MUCH ATTENTION AND APPROVAL by shizun.

Luo Binghe develops a complex over Meng Yao of course.

(Shen Jiu approves of Meng Yao because he understands these characters very well and know how to manipulate (cough kill or injury them physically or mentally) them easily. Plus Meng Yao is actually competent.)

This occurred to me earlier and I had to share: I think the funniest way for a possibly either full or partial identity reveal for SQH and SQQ would be if LBH heard SQH teasing SQQ over drinks for not asking his permission as he son’s father for binghe’s hand in marriage, followed by SQQ being flustered and whacking SQH with his fan and responding that even if he was technically binghe’s dad, because he created him, SQQ refused to treat SQH as his father in law, followed by sqh laughing about his reaction. And binghe listening and also fueled by protagonist brain power, notes that his shizun *did not deny it* (and then binghe keeps an ear out and learns more and more from the convos sqh and sqq have when they think no one else can hear them) (I mostly just love binghe finding out sqh is his dad, and actively and proudly calls him his son when he thinks binghe isn’t around to hear it)

That is one of the funniest ways the reveal could happen

Honestly, my current notes have this Third Transmigrator as not really being a fan at all, because I thought that would be the funniest third option to Airplane Bro (the author) and Peerless Cucumber (#1 anti-fan). Also, I thought it suited someone in the position of Mobei-Jun's parent, from the position of Mobei-Jun not knowing WTF is going on with Shang Qinghua EVER.

My dad has spent the past year or so reading a LOT of webtoons, manhuas, mangas, whatever, and so we've had a few conversations about xianxia and wuxia and harem and isekai stuff. He says that quite a few of them seem to be based on web novels.

So, I thought it would be funny if someone (probably an actual fan of PIDW) attempted to make a graphic novel for PIDW, then some English-speaking rando reads the unofficial English translation of the unofficial graphic novel for PIDW. There are probably only 30 chapters at most and ENG Rando didn't read the last 5 because they got bored when the harem stuff continued even inside the Abyss. Luo Binghe wasn't even the Demon Emperor yet. Mobei-Jun hasn't even shown up yet, except maybe in the bonus art at the back, and ENG Rando thought MBJ was the artist's OC or something.

(Also: Chapter 13 was just Chapter 12 posted twice to the shitty online manga website for some reason. Chapter 21 and Chapter 22 were posted in reverse order. And the translators changed like six different times. The second translator was really fond of not translating some basic nouns in favor of adding a billion footnotes. The third translator kept writing/typoing Luo Binghe as "Lou Bingo" and this lasted for 10 chapters. Chapter 8 was only translated into Spanish and so Google Translate was needed. These are the problems of a foreign webtoon reader.)

ENG Rando only read this because it was listed first on the "NEWEST UPDATES!!!" list and they liked the art. And then it started to be a Sunk Cost sort of thing. Then morbid curiosity.

ENG Rando transmigrates because they died in a car crash on the way to work or something, still thinking about PIDW. Even the System was not expecting this. Neither Airplane Bro nor Shen Yuan have transmigrated yet. ENG Rando gets a kind of crappy personal System until the Senior System can work things out, and maybe this Junior System isn't even fitted with a proper English Language pack for whatever reason, so ENG Rando and their Junior System have to communicate mostly through emojis.

ENG Rando is assigned the temporary role of "Beta 2". This is interpreted by some of the characters they meet as "Beida" (which is a fanon name used for Mobei-Jun sometimes, because it's a rival university to the one Shang Qinghua's name sounds like).

Later, when MBJ is forced to introduce SQH and maybe also SQQ (Shen Yuan) to his mother and the transmigration thing is known by all three transmigrators, Airplane Bro has to suffer his future mother-in-law saying about the unofficial graphic novel of PIDW in a heavy English accent: "I was worried that I was accidentally reading hentai. You wrote 20 million words of that?"

okay! okay! here’s the crucial divergence in canon that i’ve come up: yqy gets drunk.  he gets real fucking drunk, and it’s absolutely sqh’s fault. sqh has a ridiculously high alcohol tolerance because 1) he drinks a lot when dealing with logistics and horrible reality of his life being controlled by an otherworldly entity 2) he gets bribed by zui xian peak with real good real strong stuff.

anyway.  i don’t know what happens exactly but the end result is that yqy wakes up still kind of smashed and also with a baby.

why does he have a baby.  he sure as fuck doesn’t know!  did he just kidnap a baby?  does he need to put the baby back where he found it?

he does not put the baby back where he found it, because, after a bit of investigation, he finds there’s nowhere for him to put him back to -- drunk yqy had found the baby in a river after all. 

what to do with the baby?  well, yqy has... some amount of trauma about abandoning children. so baby lbh ends up being raised on cang qiong and uh, yeah, people totally think lbh is yqy’s secret love child.

this uh, probably makes sqq’s issues with lbh like.  so much... worse?  weird.  weirder.  like if sqq picks up on lbh being an abandoned baby, he’ll get punched in the face with 1) his younger self 2) younger yqy.  weird combination of absolute hatred and slightly less antagonistic nostalgia.  really weird hot and cold behavior.

lbh probably ends up thinking that sqq’s his dad’s ex.

So I've been seeing people actually defend Tigerheart's actions and I just can't! I really wonder if any of these people are PoC or even know what an invasion means for the ones being invaded! To make things worse, they're basically saying he's justified because RiverClan is in a fragile situation and they attacked first, he's grieving, and that he's nothing like his namesake because he's apparently treating RiverClan well. Except he very well could've tried to help without conquering them! Because that's what this was, a conquest! It doesn't matter how well he treats RiverClan or who initiated the fight, he still barged into their territory with every intention of taking over by force out of clouded judgement and essentially makes RiverClan into a puppet state by placing his own cats in charge and finally relents to letting a RiverClan cat lead alongside Cloverfoot only after Icewing defends him.

Seriously, there were better ways to go about this! In fact, a better alternative would've been to try and reach out to Mothwing (acknowledgement that she's related to him and the rest of Tigerclaw's line when!), Owlnose, Splashtail, or maybe even or at least Icewing and/or Harelight, despite the last two not having held any political power at the time, but maybe they could've at least talked to Mothwing on his behalf.

Seriously, I really hope SkyClan deals with him soon!

From what I’ve seen, lots of people skipped AVOS (please if you have done this at least read the first 3 books and Hawkwing’s journey they’re amazing) and went straight into the broken code and also haven’t read oots for years, that is an experience I’ve seen online a few times. The problem with that is that people have become attached to good dad Tigerheartstar and either forgotten or not read just how bad he can get, and so they don’t want to see him for who he really is and has been consistently characterised as throughout the years: a self righteous bully. He is a fascinating character for sure because of this dynamic of him both being capable of great love and of great cruelty. I’ve seen people express surprise at him trying to take over RiverClan and calling it out of character as if he didn’t try to do almost the exact same thing in SqH to the Sisters. He forced out a small group of cats living on unclaimed land who said they were going to move anyway because he immediately wanted back land he had gifted someone else. Moonlight and Leafpool are dead because of his insistence on forcibly taking that land and rallying the other leaders to do it.

Regardless of his intentions the way he decided to “help” RiverClan was completely wrong. You don’t turn up at dawn with almost every warrior at your disposal if you truly have the best interests of those you want to “help” at heart, nor do you say things like this:

You could give those lines to Tigerstar 1 or Darktail and it would not be out of character for them.

There are so many other ways he could have done it rather than this like you say and I am currently so upset and angry on RiverClan’s behalf and I really hope they forcibly drive him out of their land soon. I’m so glad the narrative is currently treating this as awful and sickening as it is and repeatedly comparing him to his grandfather rather than trying to justify it.

Realising that, with the way I have their relationship set up, SY!SQQ & his sister parallel Shen Jiu and Yue Qingyuan some. Not exactly, but enough.

--in that, Shen Mei is steadfastly attached to their former lives/relationship & her brother... still avoids/tries not to think about the life they left behind any more than he has to. He flinches whenever she tries to bring up their family. Prefers not to, even if like! It’s not that he didn’t/doesn’t love them or her, but that’s in the past. They’re happy here, right? There’s no need to dwell......

Meanwhile, like I mentioned before, Shen Mei defines herself by her past life & her relationship to her brother. Still. It doesn’t matter how many years it’s been, she’s still holding on. She thinks about & misses their family terribly often. She still calls Shen Qingqiu San-ge; she calls YQY & LQG Da-ge and Er-ge, and Shang Qinghua Shushu. She even starts calling Tianlang-Jun Dad eventually [not sure which variant atm]. She originally called him Uncle like she does with SQH, but after she gets invested in befriending Bing-ge he gets promoted.

(I really need to write the context for this, because there’s some canon-divergence in this AU surrounding the Trial whereupon she allows herself to get kidnapped by Zhuzhi-Lang... and consequently spends a good long while with the two of them. But I digress)

Anyway, Shen Mei clings to the vestiges of Family, assigning roles that are now vacant & knowing it might be a bit rude. or presumptuous. which is why she only uses some of these terms situationally. But San-ge is San-ge. And Shen Qingqiu is just going to have to accept that.... and suppose he doesn’t stop her, but it does gall him that she refuses to call him Shizun 95% of the time. He’s fully accepted his new role & she won’t accept hers.

It’s complicated. SY!Shen Qingqiu does better than Shen Jiu, but his avoidance still causes problems between them sometimes. She doesn’t want to press him too much, but he’s her only real family. Not that she doesn’t love her new found family, too, but it’s-- not the same. She tends to complain to Shang Qinghua about it. He’s the only other person from their world... and that’s its own can of worms, considering Airplane’s relationship with his past life’s family.

But once he gets used to it, he doesn’t mind being Shushu too much. He still doesn’t know what she expects him to do about Shen Qingqiu, though.

What if sqq ends up dying at some point in pidw? Maybe he dies of old age after something went wrong with his cultivation. Maybe he dies in a battle to save lbh. Maybe he was killed on a night hunt. He simply dies. 

And lbh cannot deal with losing his shizun /again/.

Yet, no amount of intimidating sqh will bring him information about how he can bring back sqq (he /knows/ the man had something in it the first time). Yet sqh genuinely seems to not know what to do and even himself looks a bit frightened at the news of his friend dying after so long here. 

Then later on, to everyone's surprise (especially sqh), lbh is the one to die. Following his shizun in hope of finding him again.

[booting: luo binghe rebirth...] 

At first, lbh was born with no memory of his past life, even less knowing about sqq. Then slowly, this young lbh starts to have these dreams.

Dreams of someone he feels love for, dreams of what he feels like should be past events he never had, dreams that have a constant line and aren’t random. He sometimes wakes up crying, a name on the tips of his tongue. He starts believing this might be part of his past life and this person is his soulmate. 

But how could he find this person again? Especially when he and his dad keep moving from place to place due to his father’s job. But then one day, as they just got to this new town, he doesn’t even bother to remember the name of (He will be there for only a couple of months what’s the point?) he finally sees hope.

As he is pushed to go get groceries, someone passes him, making him stop in his track to look back again. 

“Come on bro! I know my last chapters weren’t/that/ bad, you’re just being petty because I said your opinion was trash last time!!”

“I’m not being petty; I’m telling you it there’s no logic in suddenly having these two characters madly in love when you made them barely interact and have no chemistry together in the past ten chapters! You’re doing it only because readers have started to ship them and pushed them into you” 

This was him! This was the man from his dream!

Sure, he looked a bit younger and different from what he usually saw, but he was certain this was the man. He was about to follow them, not wanting to let him go. He /couldn’t/ have him disappear again!!

Then he heard the other talkative teen mention school and lbh realised quickly that he might actually see him again then! Surely, they would go to the same school, this town was rather small, there was no way there were two schools.

He went back home that day feeling more joy than he ever did, for once unable to wait to go to a new school. 

He would bring his love to him; he knew it would work.

Still haven’t read SV but I love the SQH-LBH dynamic from LBH’s perspective. Imagine there is a weird yucky little man who you hate and sometimes he calls himself your dad. He is inexplicably your husband’s best friend even if neither of them will admit it.
