What do you mean Madeleine puts in plain words that Louis is in love with Armand, that she can feel it through him and subsequently, Armand's wondering if he does. Armand turning to smile at him, giving a gorgeous little laugh before kissing Louis cheek and standing from the table. "Why don't you want him to know how much you love him?" "he knows" as the joy slides off Armand's face and he steps out of the warmth he has forsaken.

There’s a very easy way to get around the fact that Assad is unable to pass for a teeenager if the show wants to adapt TVA and that’s to rely on the theme of unreliable narration. Armand begins retelling his history and according to him, he looked like he was in his early adulthood. No older than twenty four, for sure, but also not any younger than twenty. And then, just when the audience has bought it, just when this version of events has been presented as the truth for long enough, someone questions it. Asks if he really looked like that. Asks if he’s being honest with himself. And for the briefest moment, we flashback to Amadeo, the age he was when Marius first saw him. Beaten, shackled, afraid. And undeniably a child.

i'm obsessed with jacob's acting choices for the dubai era. every movement he makes has heavy sandbags attached. you can see louis thinking as he attempts to move his limbs "effortlessly." even his voice - intended to sound casual and unaffected - is taut like a live wire. i really loved jacob's acting during the scene in 2x04 where he realizes daniel was looking at photographs he did not take - especially the part where louis wants daniel to make sure he lets the readers know he was an adequate/amateur photographer. he tries to say it in a relatively indifferent way, like it's purely an accuracy concern, but you can see all of his anger in the way he clenches his jaw and purses his lips. i love how jacob utilizes control when he acts as louis; it's magnificent.

don’t get how you can watch iwtv and be a sincere diehard lestat hater. like the world’s biggest lestat hater is louis and that man can’t even commit to it for more than five minutes before literally hallucinating lestat wearing a wedding ring and talking pretty to him. this show is about louis and every road leads back to lestat for that man
