Imagine you're Louis de Pointe du Lac, you've just divorced your second husband and reevaluated all of your life choices, you've spent a cool $10 million on what are essentially your therapy bills, you hop on a 12-hour flight across the world, you return to your hometown, you reunite with your first ex-husband, you process your grief over your daughter a little bit, you're stuck in a hurricane but it's all okay, it was all worth it because you're in a better place now emotionally and can start to move forward

And then, on the vampire-exclusive psychic channel, you hear the voice of your Definitely Still Human buddy Daniel going "hey Louis uh quick update for ya"

It somehow went from talking about AMC's very real history of erasing Assad and their barely concealed Islamophobia to nasty stan wars between Assad and Sam fans...and I'm just confused how we ended up here, I guess.

This could have been an opportunity to have productive conversations about an issue that has been unfolding for the past year or so, but instead people turned it into petty fandom drama and about whose fav is the better actor. That is just very unfortunate and disappointing to see.

I try not to talk about fandom drama on here, but I have spent the past couple days watching different sides of the fandom tear into two very talented and amazing actors over something that was AMC's doing and I just have to wonder when we lost the plot? Why are we attacking actors who are just doing their jobs instead of taking it up with AMC, who is actually in charge of deciding who is or isn't submitted for nominations? And better yet, why are we attacking these actors for things their fans are saying and doing?

Y'all are doing all this for a nomination Sam most likely isn't even going to get because these award shows hate and are biased against horror and gothic genres. Like I don't know whether to laugh or sigh and put my head in my hands.
