Do they...think Mihawk is the strongest swordsman because of his blood? All they've got now is an extremely strong child(because of King), with like probably great reflexes and coordination to be fair and like,,autism. Which is great! But will he even focus on the same thing? Does he like swordsmanship? He'll have an entirely different set of swordsmanship skills. i've only played the very start of da:tv..... twice, as it melted my old computer's insides on my first go........

so catreus is my second rook attempt, and he has enriched my experience in several ways:

after getting himself in trouble at home, "go stay with uncle varric until the heat on you dies down" makes a lot of sense for a baby hawke

my imagined "i get to hang out with uncle varric!" dynamic makes the opening part pretty cute :)

also "rook" really tracks as a varric nickname for a baby hawke, especially if his other dad saddled him with a pretentious tevinter name. you know varric's not saying all those syllables.

(ok look. listen. the chess piece explanation is a double meaning and/or just a clever varric obfuscation of the link to cat's famous dad. don't @ me.)

anyway i'm still very much processing how i feel about this game but i'm quite pleased with my son boy

y’know how gisela makes keefe get clothes tailored to him in book 2 (or maybe book 3), and how his clothes fit approximately before that but never just right? and how keefe canonically has stolen at least one bramble jersey from fitz? i would like to offer the explanation that after keefe wore fitz’s bramble jersey(s), he was like. “alright! i will now make my entire wardrobe full of clothes that are fitz’s size for these completely heterosexual reasons:

1. it makes it easier to disguise the clothes that i have stolen from fitz versus the rest of my clothes

2. it always makes it feel like i’m wearing fitz’s clothes

3. it makes it easier to ‘accidentally’ leave my clothes in places where fitz mistakes them as his, and i see him in my clothes :)”

trying to figure out how robby would put people into his contacts and i feel like he's possibly a "First Name Last Name" guy but i also think the concept of "kyler (dojo)" "tory (girlfriend)" "johnny (father)" is too good to pass up

playing clangen for the first time in a while i forgot how much i love mantisfang. also the game updated so you can manually set adoptive relationships which is great cuz mantisfang adopted 3 kits in-game but then found 2 other kits without being assigned the adoptive parent, and in my Head and Heart, she adotped those other 2 as well, so now i can actually set it in-game to reflect that
