Hi anon! I can share some fics that resonated with me but please keep in mind that I’m no expert on the topic and cannot attest nor validate these portrayals in a professional capacity. I hope they work for you!
Touched by @writcraft (T, 7k)
On the insistence of his parents, Draco begins to see a therapist to discuss his difficulties with physical intimacy. When he changes his appointment time, Draco discovers he’s not the only one seeking assistance as a result of events which occurred during the war and he finds comfort in the most unexpected of places.
The Body Keeps Score by amorsindolor (E, 13k)
Draco cries during sex. A story about touch, intimacy, and the healing we find through mutual trust and love.

Numb and exhausted after the war, Harry returns to the only real home he’s ever known. Hogwarts needs help, too.
All That Remains by lordhellebore (M, 21k)
In a Great Britain destroyed by war and plagued by magical epidemics, those who are left behind struggle to survive and find meaning. While Draco battles his guilt by becoming a social worker, Harry is headed down a path of self-destruction.
Come Hell or High Water, anon (M, 22k)
In his bed under Mungo's floating candles, Harry sips tea, watches reality TV, and does his best not to pay any mind to the curse which has invaded his body.
Vale Sanare by RurouniHime (M, 23k)
Draco’s world gains a new component just when he thought he’d sorted everything out.
Holly and Hawthorn, Thistle and Thyme by bryoneybrynn (E, 31k)
After the war, Harry can’t shake the feeling that something is very wrong with him and he has a terrible feeling he knows what that “something” might be. He has a terrible feeling Malfoy might know, too.
(Un)wanted by @aibidil (E, 36k)
Ginny's pregnant, then she's not and Harry's single. Harry, again with no family, doesn't know what to do with this turn of events, or how to find a new life—post-war, post-Ginny, post-abortion—in which he belongs.
He Who Must Not Be Normal by lettered (E, 41k)
Potter has fame and fortune and posh clothes and all he wants is a simple life. Draco has a flat and a cat and a steady job and all he wants is a complicated life.
A Piercing Comfort by talithan (T, 44k)
When Harry Potter hits the lowest point of his life so far, it is not his friends who keep him honest. With Draco Malfoy's patience and guidance, Harry learns to stand on his own. The thing is, after the fact—he's no longer sure he wants to.
The Four Doors by @fluxweeed (E, 49k)
It’s been four months since Harry lost his memory. Four months of dead ends and no answers. With time running out until his memories are gone for good, Harry agrees to a course of Legilimency therapy with a renowned specialist: Mind Healer Draco Malfoy.
Here's The Pencil, Make It Work by ignatiustrout (M, 49k)
Harry thinks "Why is Malfoy working in a coffee shop in muggle London?" is a much simpler question than, "Are you going to accept that auror offer and, if you don't, what will you do?"
Chocolate and Pastry by agentmoppet, anemonen (E, 50k)
When Pansy bets Draco that there is no chance he and Harry could carry out a genuine romantic relationship, he and Harry form a plan. But as their fake relationship progresses, Draco sees a side of Harry he never expected.
(We'll Call This Fixer-Upper) Home by @phdmama (E, 52k)
Draco Malfoy hasn’t set foot on English soil in ten years. After the war, he fled to America, where he found himself in a community, and healed himself through following his heart into music. He’s now the lead singer and songwriter for an internationally known band, who have come back to headline the Wiltshire Music Festival.
Meet Me at Midnight by @the-starryknight (T, 57k)
Harry was beginning to wonder if he’d ever make anything again when Malfoy stormed through the door of Harry’s furniture shop. Now Harry’s got an impossible Ministry commission to finish, and even less energy than ever to deal with his elusive muse.
The Way Down by lettered (T, 65k)
Harry is overwhelmed by his own power and fame and angst, so he's become a hermit. Draco Malfoy is tired of the melodrama.
I Am Not Who I Became by mab_di (E, 93k)
Draco left England after the trials and has travelled the world meeting wizards and Muggles from different cultures and with vastly different relationships to magic, each other, and the natural world. Now he's a fisherman in Finland on commercial vessels. Harry has been struggling since the war and has become a recluse while trying to write his autobiography.
By the Grace by lettered (T, 140k)
Harry is an Auror instructor. Malfoy wants to be an Auror.

Reblogging ship-bashing is NOT "quality SanSan" content, it's petty and immature and ruins the fandom experience. Pity, you were a nice SanSan blog.
We’re sorry. Can you tell us which post it was that was reblogged? Let us know and we will look it over and try to rectify the mistake.

On second thought - no. I don’t even want to call it “marauders negativity”, because that’s not what I perceive it as. I see it as realism, and I’m not going to call my posts something I don’t think they are for other people’s convenience.
If you want to blacklist, you’ll have to blacklist “not a marauders fan”, because that’s the most neutral tag I can think of, and it’s a statement about me, not about what I write about them.
Is it possible that you could tag your posts with a less than flattering view of the marauders as anti-marauder please?
Not everything that isn’t flattery is “anti”. Plus I really despise identifying as “anti” anything, and I have zero wish for posts of mine to turn up in that specific tag. I’ll tag “marauders negativity” in case you want to blacklist.

Do you think authors of fanfic on AO3 should tag possible triggers in their stories when they are not the main archive warnings? For example, I remember reading a fic tagged No Warnings Apply, but it was full of dark content despite not having any noncon, graphic violence or character death. The only suggestion of it was the vague "dead dove do not eat" tag.
Phew, short answer would be "no".
Long answer: I have barely read fics in the last two years, I'm reading only one finished chapter of a friend of mine, so maybe I'm not the most ideal person to ask (シ_ _)シ
As you described, many topics can be upsetting without covering the usual suspect of archive warning. Now, if none of warnings apply, the label works simultaneously as a blanko check for any other potential upsetting topic as well as gigantic neon warning sign. Meaning, I now know what kind of upsetting topics I might not encounter still everything else is very much a possible option. And Ao3 offers a possibility to self curate to the author's estimation, depending on how they like to present their work. The author can well think some specific triggers/squicks are a spoiler, others might not now how to describe the exact nature of the squicky content, and so on and so on. By example, Do Andoirds dream of electric sheep? isn't a book with necessarily upsetting topic as far philosophical dystopia sci-fi stories go. Still, a singular scene in relation to an androids action towards a living creature is deeply unsettling. Although it's one telling scene of the book, it's more illustrative of the theme than the enlarging content of the story. Is it potentially upsetting? Absolutely, the scene even kinda aims at that sentiment and is also crucial for the book's theme. Perhaps a singular brief warning that such a graphic scene as introductory note could sharpen my attention for properly looking out for myself while reading - still even a fairly placed label could not warn me properly on the exact nature of the scene in question.
The point of this example isn't: "Trigger warnings are pointless." On the contrary, I might know a graphic scene of cruelty might take place so I can decide to not even begin reading the book. If I decide to read the book anyway I have a vague knowledge I might find passages upsetting yet likely not being prepared for their exact impact. Well, I think there's the responsibility online to properly age rate a work and warn readers. Still, when seeing a certain age restriction and a label telling me anything might go, I know I might possibly interrupt my reading when the content is too much for me.
In a round about way, this archive warning warrants more reader responsibility from the reader to react immediately to interrupt their reading. basically, it's a warning telling me I'm about to enter swamp. I could either sink, become a crocodile snack or only experience an irritations feeling of wet feet although I could turn away from the swamp after seeing the sign. In the end I should not be surprised to encounter a dead dove. If I'm able for that encounter is another question.
@lordhellebore you might be better equipped for this topic. Do you have some thoughts on this one?

HD Smoochfest 2013 recs
Here are some of my favorite fics from HD Smoochfest 2013  fest. Listed in alphabetical order.
***
All Life is Yours to Miss by Saras_Girl [114k]
Professor Malfoy's world is contained, controlled, and as solitary as he can make it, but when an act of petty revenge goes horribly awry, he and his trusty six-legged friend are thrown into Hogwarts life at the deep end and must learn to live, love and let go.
Black Island by Oakstone730 / @i-didnt-wanna-do-it   [24k]
Most people would think that seven days on a tropical island would be a week in paradise, unless they were stranded on the island with their ex-husband.
But, In Dreams by @kedavranox [23k]
Harry is a Seer, with a particular affinity for speaking to the dead, but this comes at a price he’s slowly killing himself to pay.
The Comfort of Tea by Omi_Ohmy [20k]
A lawn mower, a pertly pink todger, endless cups of tea and a few sly grins. Oh yes, and Harry is cursed to temporarily bond to anyone he gets close to; for some reason that person ends up being Draco, more often than not…
Hungry by birdsofshore [24k]
The first thing Harry knew about it was when he woke up lying on a bed in the hospital wing, with his arm firmly stuck to the scrawny, milk-white arm of Draco bloody Malfoy.
Kiss the Joy (Until the Sun Rise) by @icmezzo [37k]
The Room of Requirement was severely damaged in the war, but not so much that it could not provide for one lost student and another young hero—especially when they needed each other most of all.
Merlin Works in Mysterious Ways by @lordhellebore [82k]
When Harry is forced to form a Blood Bond with Draco Malfoy under threat of death, he thinks his future will consist of a cold home and sexual frustration. But when a group of left-over Death Eaters decides to stir trouble, their lives change completely – and it takes them both some years to figure out whether it’s for better or for worse.
A Piercing Comfort by @talithan [44k]
When Harry Potter hits the lowest point of his life so far, it is not his friends who keep him honest. With Draco Malfoy's patience and guidance, Harry learns to stand on his own. The thing is, after the fact—he's no longer sure he wants to.
The Tender Things by @tryslora [20k]
Five years ago Draco disappeared out of Harry’s life. Harry has never believed Draco died that night; he was sure he would have known because they were bonded. When one Deacon Malloy moves in down the street, Harry discovers that both he and his friends were right. Draco’s alive, but is he still Draco? Harry is sure of one thing: their bond is true. All that remains is to convince his husband.
Tug-O-Want by @dysonrules [16k]
Harry is back at Hogwarts minding his own business when he finds himself magically drawn to Draco Malfoy. Over and over again.
Two Wands Make a Right by dannyfranx [21k]
Harry's wand is playing up and Hermione thinks she knows the answer, but why does she have to be right all the time, why does Draco Malfoy have to be so god damn difficult and why is he wearing his tie backwards?

I hope you enjoy these stories as much as I did!

fanfic titles meme
tagged by @ghostlovesc0re thank you!!! (may this give me the force of will to actually work on anything)
Rules: Look at the titles of the last 20 fics you’ve posted and answer the following questions.
1. How many are you happy with?
actually most of them? I don’t like a few but other than that...
2. How many are…not great?
I mean ^^^ there’s two-three which aren’t exceptional and one I definitely wish I had found a better option for but overall they did all fit the fic so whatever lmao
3. How many did you scramble for at the last minute?
oh god let me count, thirteen lmao like.... most times it’s the last thing I search for X°DDDDDDDD
4. How many did you know before you started writing/creating, or near the beginning?
oh I DEFINITELY knew I've always loved you and I love you still and I've broken all your windows and I've rammed through all your doors which are two fics I had NOT SO COINCIDENTALLY planned for a year before writing them so I had time to consider it lmao
5. How many are quotes from songs or poems?
.... let’s just say that the ones that are NOT quotes from songs or poems are three the others are from there lmao
6. How many are other quotes?
I think just one wasn’t a quote lmao
7. Which best reflects the plot of the story/content of the fanwork?
... I’mma go with tie between I don't mind if I'm with you and the aforementioned  I've broken all your windows and I've rammed through all your doors, but the latter was really a case of TITLE PERFECTLY FITTING THE STORY BC I HAPPENED TO BUILD IT AROUND THAT SPECIFIC LINE XD
8. Which best reflects the theme of the story?
other than broken all your windows... I guess tie between love me five times and corseted because they’re literally what happens in the story xDDDDD
9. Which best reflects the character voice of the story/pov of the fanwork?
... uuuuhm I guess reconsider me but I mean... all of the above cited kind of would work too especially the infamous broken all your windows XD
10. Which is your favourite title?
... guess what,  I've broken all your windows and I've rammed through all your doors lmao sorry I really was happy with how that story turned out xD
hmmm tagging @lordhellebore @randomingoftherandomness @aviss and if you write fic and see this and want to do it consider yourself tagged ;)

that little forced marriage drabble from tacky has me thirtsty, do you have any recs for forced dating / forced marriage? 🩵
Right?? I am salivating over that wip, come answer for your crimes @tackytigerfic! I do, in fact, have a few recs for that trope (not enough! would love to find more because That Old Black Magic made me feral for it). I hope you enjoy these, please note that not all of them are enemies to lovers:
Take the Moon by @tackytigerfic (E, 15k)
Harry Potter has always wanted a family of his own, and when a deadly blood curse forces him into a marriage bond with his best friend Draco Malfoy, it looks like he might just have found one. It's just a shame they’d always planned to break up after a year…
The Marriage Contract series by @fluxweeed (E, 15k)
In what universe is it fair that marrying Draco Malfoy is the only way for Harry to get his magic back?
The Matchmaker's Spell by @kbrick (E, 21k)
Thanks to a spell cast over all of wizarding Britain, Draco is forced to marry Harry Potter, who still hates him. But Draco refuses to live a cold, sexless existence, choosing to fill the emptiness in his life and his bed with a parade of lovers. And while Harry may not be able to stand Draco, he despises seeing him with anyone else.
The Only Magic Left Between Us by @lqtraintracks (E, 24k)
Harry goes to the market and ends up having to save Draco Malfoy’s life with sex. He saves Draco’s life with sex and ends up with a husband. The last thing he expects in all of it is to fall in love.
You'll Still Find Stone by flightinflame (M, 42k)
Draco had to marry Potter to stay out of Azkaban. Narcissa told him he’d be safer there. But he doesn’t know what Potter expects from him - this marriage is nothing like he had been prepared for. Potter’s acting kindly, and he knows it’s all a trick. He’s just about coping, but trying to keep Potter happy becomes more important than ever when he realises he’s carrying the man’s child.
what husbands are for by @softlystarstruck (E, 52k)
To settle tensions between werewolves and vampires, Harry volunteers for a political marriage. But it turns out he's marrying Malfoy– cold, untouchable Malfoy, who he hasn't seen in ten years. Throughout contention and politics, werewolf pub nights and grudgingly shared meals, they have to make it work.
That Old Black Magic by @bixgirl1 (E, 77k)
Centuries ago, marriage contracts were the norm — ready-made alliances between families, expected and complied with, without complaint. But norms have a way of changing, and when a long-dormant contract flares to life, Harry has to navigate an unexpected splintering of the path he'd thought would be easy after the war... with Draco Malfoy.
Merlin Works in Mysterious Ways by lordhellebore (M, 82k)
When Harry is forced to form a Blood Bond with Draco Malfoy under threat of death, he thinks his future will consist of a cold home and sexual frustration. But when a group of left-over Death Eaters decides to stir trouble, their lives change completely – and it takes them both some years to figure out whether it’s for better or for worse.
Grounds for Divorce by Tepre (E, 122k)
Malfoy finds a coin. Harry finds a letter. A story about histories, a story about families. A story about a lemon tree somewhere in Upper Egypt.
The Marriage of True Minds by Lomonaaeren (E, 204k)
Lucius curses Harry and Draco into a forced marriage. They're only required to live together, not be together, and so they try to date other people. But over time, things change.

Okay, more recs - I completely forgot to post this back when I added these: Charlotte Brontë: Jane Eyre. I don’t remember when I read it, probably around 15 or so, but I loved it and it’s still one of my favourites. I also think it’s the best of the sisters’ books. I found Jane a very easy character to identify with, and that’s always what hooks me about a good book.
Ken Follett: The Pillars of the Earth. My entry drug into the world of history novels. Also, I love cathedrals, so this book is perfect. And one day I’ll finaly write that Waleran/Remigius fic.
Douglas Adams: The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Just because it’s so funny and nonsensical ;)
G. R. R. Martin: A Song of Ice and Fire. I’m not through yet - tbh. my daughter is further along than me - because I’ve not yet had the time and peace I want to dedicate myself to actually appreciating them the way they deserve.
On to the more embarrassing section of this post, also known as: “If you like Christian kitsch” (as I do for reasons forever beyond my comprehension; I’m not even Christian anymore):
Henryk Sienkiewicz: Quo Vadis.
Lloyd C. Douglas: The Robe.
Francine Rivers: Redeeming Love. (Just - don’t read it if CSA triggers you, because this book is one big trigger. Seriously, don’t.)
Francine Rivers: The Mark of the Lion trilogy.
I’ve got nothing to say about these other than that they satisfy a deep craving for Christian kitsch I can’t quite explain. It might have to do with the fact that all are redemption stories, and together with h/c that’s what I like to read best.
For the German speakers:
Rebecca Gablé: Das Lächeln der Fortuna plus the three sequels (which aren’t quite as ridiculously fantastic as #1, but still very great), Das zweite Königreich, Der König der purpurnen Stadt, Hiobs Brüder. Her history novels set in England are just wondrous things to behold. She makes you absolutely adore her characters and the rich and vibrant portrayal of a time centuries past. It feels very much present and alive in her books, like a world you can imagine yourself in, and that’s not something many history novels manage to achieve.
Karl May: EVERYTHING. Just. Everything. Personal favourites: Winnetou I, Weihnacht, Im Lande des Mahdi III.
What are some of your favourite genres/books/authors? (sorry i'm bored and i want to talk books)
Ohhh, okay, you’re gonna get a list now *LOL*J. R. R. Tolkien: The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion. All three together make the perfect Tolkien experience, esp. because when you read the Silmarillion, you’ll be able to appreciate some things in LotR much more.
Joe Abercrombie: The First Law (The Blade Itself, Before They Are Hanged, Last Argument of Kings). What I love about this is that it’s not your average High Fantasy trilogy. It aims at subverting the tropes, which works well, imho, although the second volume is dragging on for too long. Sand dan Glokta is my absolute favourite character here, and one of my favourite fictional characters in general. The most likely reaction of antis to him and anybody liking him or even shipping him is best described as follows:
Tumblr media
Stephen King: IT, Lisey’s Story, Insomnia, 11/22/63. I have about 30 King books at home (Running Man, Rose Madder, Duddits, Pet Sematary, Duma Key and Bag of Bones are also very good), some in English and some in German. King taught me a very important lesson for writing (esp. with Lisey’s Story): as the author, you’re God. You get to decide what and how much you explain - or don’t explain. You have to make the readers believe your world, not necessarily by justifying or explaining everything, but by writing it in a compelling fashion that doesn’t leave the reader doubting its authenticity.
George Orwell: 1984. Among my absolute favourites. I read it at around 14 or 15, and the concepts in it - of Newspeak and Doublethink in particular - have always fascinated me. So much so that I chose it as part of my oral exam at university. (I was hugely disappointed that in English class at school we read Huxley’s Brave New World instead when we had to read a dystopian novel.)
Harper Lee: To Kill A Mockingbird. Do I have to explain? It’s great writing, Scout is an immensely engaging narrator, and the book was my introduction to the subject of racial inequality in the US.
David Eddings: The Elenium (The Diamond Throne, The Ruby Knight, The Sapphire Rose) and the sequels, The Tamuli (Domes of Fire, The Shining Ones, The Hidden City). I read those around 14/15 and absolutely adored them. By now, I still like them a lot, although not quite as much anymore as back then. I like the way religion is handled here, as well as the underlying humour, especially in the later books.
Terry Pratchett: His Discworld novels are all good, but my favourite is Small Gods. Concerning the various series within the Discworld universe, the one with the Night’s Watch is my favourite.
Bernard Cornwell: The Sharpe series. They’re formulaic and not very deep, but they’re entertaining, and that’s what counts when all you want is some fun hours of reading. Add to that that there is a TV series with Sean Bean (albeit cheaply produced and only loosely based on the novels) in which for once he doesn’t die … voilà ;)
There are more I’d like to recommend, but I’ll reblog with additions when I’m back home and have access to my bookshelves.
