thinking about simon lying in bed and praying to whatever higher being that's out there to bring back the loves of his life after losing both johnny and you during a mission, his grief swallowing him whole. the tears won't stop pouring, the choked-up sobs keep ripping from his throat after holding them in all night on the ride back to base, and his chest feels desolate, as if whatever version of love his body came up with had left with you and johnny.

he thinks about the pistol hidden underneath his bed, and his fingers itch to latch onto the grip, to press the muzzle against his head, and welcome the bullet that lodges itself deep in his brain—

when he unfortunately wakes up the next morning, head pounding and balaclava still damp from his tears, he quickly realises that he is not alone in bed. one—no, two bodies lay on each side of him, and they begin to stir as well. quickly, he breaks out from the middle, and the other two get up, eyes wide with alarm as they scramble off the bed.

the moment simon hears a scottish curse he's much too familiar with, his heart stops. when he snarls at them to not fucking move and carefully shuffles to switch the light on, it feels like the organ has fallen out of his chest.

standing in front of him are you and johnny, dismay written across your faces. he can't help but stumble back into the wall, a shocked yell getting stuck in his throat as he takes in the sight of his dead lovers. he doesn't even acknowledge the awful expressions you both wear, so full of disdain, so guarded, nor does he register johnny barking a question at him. his focus is glued to where both your hands linger, too easy in each other's presence and too tense in his.

simon's blood runs cold when he catches sight of the wedding ring on your finger, johnny sporting a matching band of his own.

i badly wanted dark!Jason tbh. I mean, we got a dark Percy choking a goddess, and a dark Nico ghostifying a roman legionnaire, but the closest thing we got to a dark!Jason was when he was possessed by eidolon and electrocuted Percy, or his anger when Thalia was turned into an ice statue which isnt dark enough imo. I just wanted pure RAGE from him, till the point he ends up doing something completely out of character and stuns everyone.

I mean, Jason is the son of the king of all gods, his rage would be absolute terror no doubt. His dad is an angry man, so I hc him to have his dad's unhinged anger if he gets out of control (I honestly feel like this is a necessity for all Zeus kids lol). Also, Jupiter is A LOT more unhinged than Zeus considering he's roman so jason should arguably have more craziness in him . Maybe something like sucking the air out of someone's lungs to make them stop breathing for a few secs. And Leo going "man, you gotta stop shocking us like this. Pun intended"

imagine the potential of that scene. Wasted potential yet again. smh.
