📨 As the Greek Deity of Fear, you were hailed for many centuries for your ability to torture someone with visions and dreams of their worst nightmares happening. Because of how bad some of them got, many began calling you Deitas Interni Nocendi, or Deity of the Internal Harm

📨 Hermes gained interest in you after the whole Adamas incident. He had asked if you sided with his uncle, to which you smiled and asked if he thought you feared such a pathetic man so much. He just smiled back and chuckled before evolving into a deeper conversation with you

📨 Years later, you guys stood by one another's side as you were married and began to make your own branch of the Greek Pantheon grow larger and larger. This was especially true when your children of fear from your previous bond with a human warrior, the Terrors, began to see Hermes like a father

📨 During Ragnarok, you stood alongside your husband and now adult-children. While he admired the fights with his father, you merely sat with your head on your hand in boredom. It wasn't until Poseidon lost and Jack the Ripper came on stage that you could feel the fear that flowed through everyone's frames, feeding you amazingly

💐 Aphrodite has always been an alluring woman, and she knows that. She looks at herself so much that she can perfectly draw her body without any issue. But, with breasts that big, how hard would it be to remember your figure?

💐 When you arrived at a meeting with the other Gods, she was shocked to see just how dark you were. Even the God of the Dead, Hades, dressed in more color than you did! You walked in with your children following you, all in cute little color-coded cloaks, while you had a large thorn-made crown on top of your head with some thorns poking out of your skin amazingly

💐 She was entranced with how you held yourself. Many feared you, and the small few who didn't ended up succumbing to your ability to instill fear in all you wish too. Aphrodite was surprised that you seemed to have little animosity with her, and when she asked, she was happy to hear you actually enjoyed her more 'peppy-look'

💐 It was after you guys married and began ruling your realm together that everyone began to notice just how much more joyful you were to be around. You started dressing with more color and plants on you, she even got your little Terrors to dress more colorfully and child-like, despite how they aged to be more mature. It honestly made even the toughest Gods smile on the inside

🪶 Odin respected you from afar. He knew of your abilities and always decided to stray away from asking you for any insights on the issues inside of your Pantheon

🪶 But, when a couple incidents with Loki grew into including your youngest Terror, Kenaz, he had no choice but to have you come to a meeting. Everyone was internally weary that you would pull something and end up forcing their Pantheon to go into war against you and your seven little fear-monster children. Thankfully, that did not happen and you ended up surprising them by being quite nice to be around

🪶 Ever since that day, you spoke more and more to the Head God of the Norse Pantheon. As he spoke to you more and more, Odin had started to mentally record every tiny event you guys had where you made his heart start beating faster. This led to you guys becoming close allies, then courting, before settling on marrying one another years later

🪶 When your only biological son, Thor, was born, everyone feared you more. Not only could you instill fear and make someone scared so much that they had a heart attack and just drop dead like nothing, you were also married to the Odin, and had the Thor as your son. You were quite the surprise to all

🍭 Buddha had always heard of a Deity that lived in Heaven that could control the fear that someone, even an immortal, had inside of them. He never encountered you for quite some time, but when he did, he wasn't that surprised with how you behaved

🍭 He guessed you'd be a quiet and threatening type, which you were. But, you only shocked him when you seemed to be more sunshine and rainbows with your Terror-children. You would kneel to their height, pat them on their shadow-like head, and kiss them goodbye as they went to speak to another mortal on the path to be a better person

🍭 When you guys actually started bonding, everyone who knew you just wanted to know why you were around the 'Human-God knockoff' all the time. You would just smiled and laugh before looking at them with a dead expression and telling them he made you laugh more than anyone else had ever

🍭 Buddha does love being around you, especially after you guys got together. He also loves being around your children. Your oldest Terror, Shui, was more of a shy-type, but when Buddha came around? That just fell faster than a loose rock on the mountain that Sun Wukong was stuck underneath years ago! He was the perfect choice for you and the perfect choice for your children. And you wouldn't have it any other way

I’m planning on having a jotun character in a future comic and was trying to pull inspiration from mythology.

Something that comes up more often than you’d expect from a 1000 years old collection of stories is different races breeding with jotuns to achieve certain results.

Odin has sex with the jotun woman Jord (which means Earth) specifically to create Thor. Later he force himself on another jotun woman to create a god of hatred and vengeance (which also results in the gods banishing Odin from Valhalla for several years because a man would be punished just for touching a woman’s arm without her consent at the time and Loki later seems to claim Odin spent a lot of those years as a woman, birthing several children himself)

Jotuns also have a reputation for birthing monsters and animals but it mostly seems to happen when they breed with non-jotuns. Loki is half jotun/half Æsir and creates a eight legged horse with another horse, has normal children with his jotun wife, but also creates a giant wolf, a huge snake and a half-dead woman with another jotun woman. Then there’s the jotun king who gives birth to nine normal wolves after sleeping with a werewolf (they were together for years and it’s not made clear if it was a repeat thing where he birthed them one at a time or if he gave birth to a litter of pups all at once)

A jotun woman had three husbands, two jotun men and one Æsir god. She was the embodiment of night and he was the god of twilight and together they created the god of daylight.

Surprisingly a jotun man with a troll woman was considered the most ideal combination. One great warrior was described as beautiful and cleaver like his jotun father but strong and fierce in battle like his troll mother.

Because Loki himself was mixed race you never knew what you’d get from his “adventures” but otherwise it seems like you could expect some relatively predictable outcomes by mixing and matching jotun genes with other races.

unfortunately for percy, children are EXPECTED of her 💀 ofc, she can do what she's already doing in the fic and secretly chug aphrodite's tea as a plan b alternative, and some of the yans would just assume "oh, i guess because she's half human, it won't work 😞 but that's fine, once a safe way to ascend you has been found, we can get to the baby making! 💖" (this is not including the fact that loki and beelzebub already KNOW she can have kids with them in her state)

poseidon: would not listen to her. it's her duty as a wife to provide children and he WILL have those kids. in his eyes, his poor daughter didn't have a mother around to teach her the ways of how to be a proper goddess and wife, but that's okay because daddy will teach her 🥺💖

hades: would just go "awww, you're so silly sweetie 💖" like poseidon, he'd just chalk it up to her being unaware of how things worked because she didn't have a mother to teach her. hades will just delicately (and patronizingly tbh) explain what was expected of her now that they were wedded; as his wife, she must bear his children. so simple, right? now time for her to lay back down on the bed and take him like a good little wifey should 🥰

beelzebub: actually wouldn't mind! he's very content with the fact that he finally married the love of his life so he'll be okay if she doesn't want kids right away! he's more than happy to enjoy his time with her and her alone. he's aware that this isn't the proper way to do things, but he literally doesn't give a shit. kids can come later! he loves the idea of having kids with her, but at the same time he's also terrified. he knows he's pure evil, that he's a horrible monster, he's literally the DEVIL after all so he feels like any kids he has with her would only hurt her while she's carrying them (like bella with rheumatoid arthritis)

i lied, put your clothes back on, i’m going to explain actually just how heartbreaking it must’ve been for loki to find out he was in fact a frost giant and not asgardian by painting this scene for you. loki and thor grew up together, they played together, fought together… and what do you think they were playing as children? probably ‘slay the frost giant’, where loki would see his brother gleefully pretending to defeat to jotuns heroically because they were both told stories of how fearsome and dangerous the jotuns are, how they were monsters and should be treated as such, only to grow up and find out decades later that he was in fact one of those monsters that he had watched thor pretend to ‘cut down’ in their imaginary battles, and how that child still inside him believed he was now the enemy because that’s what he had been taught, and so the second half of the plot of thor 1 is actually loki desperately trying to prove that he rejects his true heritage and is one of them, asgardian… odinson… only for his big dumb adoptive dad to turn around and say ‘no, loki’, in which said adoptive son took as rejection and decided to yeet himself off the bridge and allow himself to fall into the void of space below, because being rejected by his family, by the one person who he had always strived for approval from was just too much to bear but some people still wanna label his actions as evil and villainous. so yeah, pretty sad and messed up when you think about it.

I just want to reflect how much the Loki show ruined Loki as a character for me and how much disheartened I was with it.

I had always wanted a spinoff on him, which explored him more. And the Loki show did anything but that.

Do you guys remember how Loki was in Infinity War for like 5 minutes, yet Tom Hiddleston was at almost every media interaction the cast had? The same thing happened in the show as well. They used him to market the show, then sidelined him in his own show. I think that was unacceptable, because they used Loki as a bait to promote a character that I held no emotions for.

Sylvie.

The argument that one does not like Sylvie because they “hate a strong female character/a character with complex arcs” is so pathetic. I don’t think I would’ve liked Sylvie even if she had the most elaborate arc in the MCU (which she doesn’t) because it just wasn’t meant to be about her.

I wanted to see Loki’s story, his journey, and if you take this moment to interject with the statement that “she’s Loki too, just different”, then I say that I wanted to see our Loki, the one who was broken when he found out that he was the monster parents told their children about at night, the one who had plethora of iconic dialogues while fighting the avengers, who was killed only for us to realize that he wasn’t.

Everytime I said that we needed a Loki spinoff before it was announced was not because I wanted new characters, it was because I wanted to see more of the character that was already there, very much beloved by the fans. I wanted them to explore his character in a deeper sense and maybe dip a little into mythology as well.

I think Loki was one of those characters that neither needed a love interest nor was ready for one. I don’t ship him with either Sylvie or Mobius, because it feels like neither of them genuinely like Loki for who he is.

Loki had far more compelling things they could have explored like his jotun heritage, his trauma from the time with Thanos and his magic that is the only memory he has of Frigga instead of his love life.

The whole show felt like it was written by someone who wasn’t the least bit interested in Loki and barely looked into him before creating his female counterpart.

It feels like a disrespect for the fans who were connected to Loki on an emotional level.

Why am I saying this now, after like 2 years since the show came out?

I don’t know, after hearing the news about season 2 releasing in October, I just feel so upset. Tired. I hate this show much because it made Loki so irrelevant to me. A sidepiece in his own show. He went around in ugly costumes and all the regal vibes I had from him just disappeared.

I still remember a time when Loki was on the top of my favorite characters, and I loved him so much. I still do, but I’m not sure if I’ll watch the 2nd season and my 13 y/o self would hate me for this.

I’ve gotten detached from his character and I hate myself for it because Loki was someone whom I adored more than anything else in the fandom world.

Loki is that one character who is loved by the fanon but absolutely despised by the canon.

Why are we just supposed to forget that Loki is a Frost Giant? This is A BIG THING!!! This is the big dark secret, the scandal, the controversy, the tragedy, the horror, the origin, the defining moment, the catalyst, the turning point of no return, and now we're just expected to ...not think about it?  Or treat it like it's no big deal, as if it's the same thing as saying Loki has a double-jointed thumb, it's just useless information now? Or laugh about it, as if it’s some kind of embarrassing, hilarious accident of birth Loki deserves for existing?  Can you imagine how incredible, how cathartic, how satisfying it could have been, if only? If only.

OH MY GOD YES!! Between the play (Supposedly written by Loki though he felt immense shame over being Jotun, as well as the overall discrimination against Frost Giants from Asgardians…) from Ragnarok, the Loki/Sylvie blanket scene (I don’t care if it was flirting. NEITHER OF THEM WOULD GET COLD FROM A SMALL BREEZE. I DON’T EVEN GET COLD FROM A SMALL BREEZE!), and "Because I see a scared little boy shivering in the cold and you kinda feel bad for that ice runt." From Mobius being like the only reference to Loki’s heritage in the series?! Ugh.

“So I am no more than another stolen relic, locked up here until you might have use of me?

“What, because I.. I.. I am the monster parents tell their children about at night?”

“You know, it all makes sense now, why you favored Thor all these years, because no matter how much you claim to love me, you could never have a Frost Giant sitting on the throne of Asgard!”

“I’m not your brother! I never was!”

“He did tell you my true parentage, did he not?”

(These quotes make me so sad. Poor Loki. He really went through so much.)

Yes, because the same Loki who was in so much distress about his heritage would crack jokes about it and talk openly about it in front of the common people of Asgard, who view Frost Giants as monsters to tell scary stories about to their children, and enemies.

If Loki didn’t find out that he was a Frost Giant… a lot of things would have gone differently not only for him, but as well as other MCU characters. It is essential to his character, and should’ve been talked about more outside of it being used to belittle him, comedy relief, and outside of AUs such as the What If? episode.

It is so unfair. I do also wish it was talked about in TDW, though I know the movie wasn’t necessarily Loki centered.

Haha guys he’s blue and adopted and a runt. It’s so funny and totally not an essential part of his character. It’s not like he’s deeply affected by any of this, or anything. 🤦🏻‍♀️

one-Shot | Comforting Loki when he finds out that he is a frost giant

Summary: After Loki confronts his father about being a frost giant you show up. You comfort him and remind him that he is loved.

When you entered the artefact room you were a bit shocked at the sight before you. Odin was lying on the stairs, visibly drifting off into Odinsleep. Loki was holding his hand, and he had the most broken expression on his face that you had ever seen. The guards took Odin away, while you stayed with Loki.

"Loki, what happened?" you breathily asked while rushing towards him. He looked up at you surprised, he hadn't noticed your entrance. By the time you reached him, his eyes were already filling with tears and when you dropped down next to him he collapsed into your arms. You held him close, rubbing comforting circles on his back. His hands clawed into the fabric of your shirt, desperate for some support while his whole life was falling apart in front of his eyes.

"Hey, it's alright. I'm here. I'm here for you" " you whispered repeatedly into his ear, occasionally pressing a kiss in his hair. "No, it isn't! I-" his voice broke.

"Shhhh," you whispered pressing your cheek to his head and cradling him closer to you. " I'm here and I'll stay. You don't have to tell me what's going on right now." He nodded as he buried his face deeper into your shoulder, allowing himself to freely cry in your arms.

You stayed like this for quite some time. When his sobs eventually turned into quiet sniffles and finally died down completely you loosened your grip a little, testing if he let you pull away or if he needed to be held a little longer.

He did not protest, so you pulled away just enough to cup his face with your hands and looked at him. His eyes were red and swollen from crying and the expression on his face was resembling a sad puppy. You were sure your heart would break any minute.

"Want to tell me what happened now?" you asked with a loving smile, wiping away his tears. He nodded and turned from you to sit on the stairs more comfortably. You sat down beside him and took his hand. He then told you what he had found out about himself and told you about his conversation with Odin.

"I have never been more than a political instrument. And now that doesn't matter anymore?! Y/N I don't know who I am anymore." he cried. You pulled him closer and pressed a kiss to his head.

"You are Loki Odinson. I see how you understood Odin saying the political plans he had with you don't matter anymore as 'you don't matter anymore', but I think that's not what he meant. Can't it be that those plans don't matter anymore, because now you matter? Can't it be that he abandoned his original plans because he loved you as his son?" you suggested.

Loki let out a heavy sigh considering your words. "He could have told me before. Instead, he just hoped I would never find out. What 'loving father' does that"

"A lot of them actually" you answered. "How parents communicate, or don't communicate, to their children that they are adopted is often a problem. And I so agree with you that Odin should have told you at some point himself."

"He told me he wanted to protect me from the truth." Loki cried "From what? From what I am? Am I such a horrible monster that I need to be protected from myself?!" Your heart broke for him at these words.

"Oh dear, no! Look at me.", you lifted his head from your shoulder and brought your face close to his. "You are not a monster. Don't you ever believe that. Listen to me. You. Are. Not. A. Moster" You reassured, caressing his cheek with one hand.

He leaned into your touch with closed eyes. Tears streaming down his face again. "How can you be so sure when you haven't seen it yet."

"Because I know you.", you press a kiss to his forehead, "And I see you, and there is not the faintest trace of a monster."

Loki got up, pulling you up by your hand. He wordlessly guided you down the stairs, to the casket. You followed him, squeezing his hand in an attempt to offer some comfort.

When you reached the casket, he touched it with both hands, just as he had done earlier. Ever so slowly his skin turned blue and curious shapes appeared on his body. He turned his head towards you, sad red eyes staring into yours.

"Do you see it now?" He cried.

He expected you to be shocked. To turn away from him. Just the thought of you leaving him was more than he could bear at the moment. If you would hate him now, he was sure that no one could love him.

But to his surprise, you did none of that. You climbed between his arms, which were still holding onto the casket, and smiled at him with so much love in your eyes that his worries melted away in an instant. Loki closed his eyes when you cupped his face with your hands and pressed another kiss to his forehead.

"This doesn't change anything" you smiled. "You are not defined by your genes. Yes, you may have been born a frost giant, but you were raised in Asgard. You are an Asgardian, and even if you can't see it right now you are so so loved here."

Tears seep out of his eyes again as he lets go of the casket and places his hands on top of yours holding them in place. on his cheeks.

"Thor loves you, a lot. Even if you stab him sometimes." you chuckled

"He doesn't know it yet" Loki whispered. "I don't think that it will make a difference to him," you said.

"He's been talking about slaying frost giants ever since we were children! How can you say it won't make a difference to him!" Loki whined.

"I know Thor, and you do too. He won't think of you differently, just because you turn blue when it gets cold. And I think his views about genocide might change once he comes back from his punishment." you chuckle.

"And your parents love you. Your father too, even if you can't see it at the moment. Even if he majorly fucked up."

"He claims to love me. But does he? He's always favoured Thor. I don't think that I can ever be good enough for him." He bites back.

"And that's fucked up. But he still loves you even if he sucks at being a father. But you don't owe him any love of yours, just that you don't misunderstand me. But I think that, when he wakes up, you two should have an honest talk. Maybe you'll find together again, maybe you won't. Nonetheless, there are people who love you here. Even if you feel alienated from everyone now, you are not alone my dear."

He didn't know what to do with your words. He loved his family. And he wanted nothing more than his father to love him and to be proud of him. But he couldn't see it. Not right now. Not with what he had just found out. And now you were standing here, telling him that he was indeed loved by his father. Could that be true? He desperately wished it to be. And after all, you grew up with him, you nearly spend the same amount of time with his family he did. So maybe, just maybe you were right?

"And I love you Loki. I love you so much. No matter what happens I will always be at your side. I will always be there for you. I love you so so much." He closed his eyes again at your words.

This was what he had been longing to hear since you entered this room. You still loved him. Even if everyone else would turn on him, even if had been no more than a political instrument for his father you still loved him. This was the one thing you said, that he could believe at this moment. You had seen what he was and still loved him.

He let himself sink into your arms again. When he felt your fingers running through his hair he let out a small whimper.

With every touch, you pierced his shattered soul back together. Every hug, every caress of your hand, every forehead kiss put a piece back into its place.

You two stood there, in front of the casket for a long time holding each other. Finally, you broke the comfortable silence :

"I understand that Odin won't wake up for some time, now that he is in Odinsleep. And with Thor banished all the responsibility will be on you now. If that's too much for you at the moment, if you want to take some time to process everything, you can stay at my place for a while and escape everything for a while. Only if you'd like, of course", you offered.

He pulled out of the hug, just so much that he could look you in the eye. "I'd very much like that, thank you" he smiled at you, sad, but also thankful.

You pressed a kiss to his forehead "I love you"

"I love you too"

Atom, Ceres & Nervous

Why do kiddos Atom and Ceres have nightmares every night? Obviously, these two are well aware that their pseudo-privileged position in the Beaker household is not so different from the unenviable fate of the test subject. Feeling themselves in the same boat with Nervous, the clone children are drawn to him, despite the strict prohibitions of Loki and Circe. Ceres and Atom enjoy watching TV in his basement and patting Nervous' cheeks as if he were a big, friendly dog.

Unlike the stern and cold Loki, Nervous treats Atom and Ceres with patient kindness and willingly gets involved in their childhood troubles. Who leap out of bed in the middle of the night and runs to chase the scary monster out from under the kids' beds? Nervous. Who reads thrilling tales of the Grim Reaper to these children? Nervous! Who do Ceres and Atom go to for advice on various school matters? I think you get the point. And the most interesting thing here is that in Sims 4, this sim has not the slightest hint of any family aspirations.

Отчего же маленькие Атом и Церера каждую ночь страдают от кошмаров? Судя по всему, эти двое хорошо понимают, что их якобы привилегированное положение в доме Колби не так уж и сильно отличается от незавидной участи подопытного. Чувствуя себя в одной лодке с Типусом, дети-клоны тянутся к нему, невзирая на строгие запреты Локи и Цирцеи. Им нравится смотреть телевизор в его подвале и трепать Типуса за щеки, словно он — большая, добрая собака.

В отличие от строгого и холодного Локи, Типус относится к Атому и Церере с терпеливой добротой и охотно вовлекается в их детские проблемы. Кто подскакивает посреди ночи и бежит прогонять страшное чудище из-под кровати? Типус. Кто читает ребятам захватывающие сказки про Мрачного Жнеца? Типус! К кому Церера и Атом бегут за советами по поводу разных школьных дел? Думаю, вы поняли. И самое интересное здесь то, что в Sims 4 этот персонаж не имеет ни малейшего намека на стремление к семье.

This Loki needed to hear this. This Loki year ago found out that he is a Jotunn. A Laufeyson. Just a year ago Loki said "...I am the monster parents tell their children about at night?". Pain is still recent.

And Mobius knows this. He studied Loki's entire life, he knows what happens because of this pain.

Is Loki actually a Good Guy? (One Piece Chapter 1136)

We learn the Giants aren't really exposed to the outside world, despite the -both in and out of universe,- belief that all Giants were pirates or warrior types. But they aren't. They sometimes get newspapers they enlarge but they obviously get their primary information second-hand, likely either from Shanks if he's around or Saul who hasn't been out and about in 22 years.

We see Loki knows about the Celestial Dragons, knows or can infer that the Holy Knights are Celestial Dragons themselves, and Hates them.

But there's this question, Loki wants to destroy the World, so he has to be the Bad Guy, right? All the Giants think he's a monster, he does dangerous things like go into the wild dangerous forest and either kill or tame the beasts everyone else is scared of. He brings them home! And seems to not understand why all the damage would be a problem or why he shouldn't be laughing.

But, isn't that Luffy? Did we not see Luffy himself imply the similarity with his own childhood? Doesn't Luffy not understand the danger he puts his crew in and laugh even when Nami and Usopp are crying?

And of course, the big Sin. He murdered his father, a wise King who wished to connect with the outside world. But, I have to ask, would that have been truly wise? WE know the situation outside Elbaf. WE know what happened with Fishman Island. WE know the bigotry and violence that exists in this World. But I have to wonder, do the Giants? Loki seems to understand. And why does that fill me with dread?

Is this a Mother Caramel situation? Was he truly a Good Man? We know he seemed to attempt to mend the hurt feelings between the Giants and Big Mom, as Big Mom did get to bring her kids to Elbaf which allowed Loki to meet and fall in love with Lola. But we've seen how Big Mom acts, how she treats her children, others under her command and I get the feeling this wouldn't have been a good decision. Especially if King Harald wanted to change Elbaf's reputation into something other than violence. We hear he didn't want Loki to get the Devil Fruit passed down in their family, and its implied he killed him for it. Is that it, or was that what they assumed?

If Loki seems to know the outside World, if he knows about Celestial Dragons, if he knows how the World is run, would deciding to destroy it be such a bad idea? How do you define destroy? Is it Fire and Brimstone, nothing left or New World Order, cut off the head and start again?
