IMPORTANT QUESTION

Does anyone know how to find a creature’s ID on RW and/or know how to make gifs of said creature?

Im asking because I tamed this cute lil redish pink lizard a few days ago and unfortunately had to part ways with it (cause it couldn’t follow me to Moon). I just want to have something of my lil guy to remember him 👉👈 (other than the 5810418 screenshots I took).

This is the lizor btw— his name is Cherry. He is a very good boy.

Hello, yes, this cute little friend is one of MANY introduced lizards in Florida. It's the Tropical House Gecko (Hemidactylus mabouia), family Gekkonidae. It's orginally native to Sub-Saharan Africa.

here's today's #Paleostream flocking drawings (i was not happy with any of the sketches so i worked on them for a few more hours :P)

woke up. lizard on pillow. like i opened my eyes and he was beside me and staring at me. lil green-brown fella. tongue like :p. he was the length of my pinky finger. as soon as i reached for him he scuttled away out of reach and vanished behind my bed.

I imagine their "spines" are equally as soft as the rest of them, sort of like the "spines" on nudibranchs.

Hi! Spotted in brisbane Australia. Not a bluey, but not sure what species since all resources (i can find) say garden skinks don’t get this big. But a common sight this large or larger in bris.

Zoomed out for scale against the brick work.

Behaviourally, not afraid of me the way a wild blue tongue would be (i have multiple on my property). Startled initially when i came out of the house but checked what the noise was and came further out when i was standing less than a meter from it. Was afraid of the postie approaching the house however. (So either can recognise specific humans or doesn’t associate the house humans with fear).

Please help me id? :) thankyou!

Hello, well, this sure looks like Common Garden Skink (Lampropholis guichenoti), family Scincidae to me.

Keep in mind that when you read that they get a length of 9 cm, that may be the snout vent length, which does not include the tail.
