I chose a prompt from a list I haven’t used yet — alebrijes de octubre. Today is tejuino + cacomixtle, or ringtail. I gave it bat wing ears and exaggerated the body and tail shape to make it more fantastic. I should’ve painted it to help it look more authentic but I ran out of time.⁣

No, I don't think so; not their cup of tea. BUT this triggered a primal part of my brain. Animals are in my veins.

Today's beast is the beautiful Ringtail, a tiny little relative of the raccoon. I only learned about them this year, and immediately fell in love. They're found in the dry, southern parts of North America.
