I wish the Svsss fandom explored Shen Yuan's internalized homophobia more.

He repetitively violently denies that he would ever "get gay", something he actually says in the official English translation.

He thinks multiple times that LBH "turned gay", and even expects SQH to be angry because of this. But SQH who is obviously a lot more accepting of his own sexuality is completely alright with LBH not bringing straight.

He treats LBH's homosexuality in the second (?) book as something that will make him a threat to Shen Yuan. Like his queerness makes him more prone to assault and all those awful queer men stereotypes.

Though it does seems that through his happy gay relationship with LBH Shen Yuan's internalized monologue about queer people has gone from one of shame and denial to silly jokes and fondness.

Even if he hasn't fully given up that turned gay idea yet.
