ok not to be that guy but like. labor rights and working class rights can coexist with 24h services and late amenities. its certainly hard to do so without worker exploitation in this political and social environment, it’s not a conflict likely to resolve overnight. but 24h services are important and especially valuable to those of us that are disabled or are on a different circadian rhythm. in fact more professional, health, and government services should be available or at least possible to work on asynchronously (if applicable) during late or odd hours, while workers also get sufficient pay for their labor and proper consistent scheduling. this would be much easier on the workers with night schedules if the entire professional world didn’t grind to a halt at 5pmEST

Okay 3 things

1. I was thinking about an aroace Sonic who says things that can be taken as wildly flirty/romantic but he just means them genuinely. “You have beautiful eyes, I keep getting distracted while looking at them,” not cause he’s interested romantically in them but because eyes can be really cool and pretty man I dunno what to tell you he likes looking at cool things and he thinks his friends are neat. “You’re the most beautiful person here,” because he really thinks that, he loves his friends

2. Sonic randomly dropping heartfelt genuine comments on his friends out of the blue completely blindsiding them and then moves on like nothing happened while they’re left going ?????? Bonus points if he does something immensely stupid or jerkish just before or immediately afterwards and they can’t tell if he was serious or not with the compliment (yes he was)

3. Sonic usually being so allergic to truly vulnerable moments that when he expresses something heartfelt randomly Tails thinks he’s been stabbed or something and does not believe him when he reassures him that he’s fine he’s fine he’s not dying yeesh

All the friendship in one place (disciplinary committee room). I also couldn’t decide what color walls and floors are supposed to be so they’re also Every Color. Don’t worry about it. Anyways I had lots of fun it’s been a while since I’ve drawn anybody other than my favorite guy (tashiro). I can also now rotate the disciplinary committee room layout in my mind. I like drawing kuresawa taking selfies. He’s going to send this to his girlfriend #yaoimoment. Thinking about what it would be like to give Aventurine a genuine gift. Like, something that caters to his tastes, but also that you’ve clearly put some thought into or that took some real effort. Time is quite possibly the most valuable currency in the cosmos, and Aventurine is keenly aware of that. Time has a steadier exchange rate than credits, and its value is unquestionable. And if it’s something he’s offhandedly mentioned liking the idea or color or function of? The fact that you pay that much attention to the things he says (because trust, he often says a lot) makes him feel exposed, but some part of him relishes in it.

Bonus points from him if it’s something you made or acquired through a unique skill set or connections. A custom made item or selection of gifts? For him? Something only you could think up, much less execute? Well, then that’s nearly impossible to obtain on his own. Will he warily accept it and wonder what you’d want in return? Of course. He’ll spend hours mulling over the tangle of nerves knotting up his guts. You should already know to expect a retaliatory gift. But what else do you give one of the wealthiest people in the known universe? You give him something he can’t get anywhere else.

this is my favourite arc focusing on my favourite character so i had to prepare something while i had some free time between other things! ive been a big fan of higurashi for ages but im only just reading the original material through these streams, so discovering so much more depth about the series i love (especially with your amazing VA work and getting to see newbies' theories and what was cut from the anime) has been an absolute joy!

im not exactly the same as rena but something about her feels so relatable to me in a way i can't quite articulate. the most obvious surface-level aspect is my love for cute things, sweets, and collecting old forgotten things though, so i poured it into this piece. hope the artstyle gives that 2000s VN feel with a little original fancy touch added to her classic design (because i can’t resist the fashion design urge even for fanart lol)

keep up the amazing work, and to the first-timers in chat, I look forward to seeing what you make of the mystery of hinamizawa going forward! It'll only keep getting more exciting from here on out!
