Kind of part 2 to A family that just can't be

Harry talked you into it. He always does get his way, and even with a little pushback from you, he still got it. You agreed to one, ONE. One singular round of IVF.

"H. I don't care that you don't think it's expensive."

"Yes, I'm sure it's worth it to you if we get to have a baby."

"OH MY GOD, HARRY! Stop trying to turn this into a dirty joke, it's a serious topic H."

"I will not continuously set myself up for heartbreak."

"One. One round, if lightning doesn't strike, then maybe it's just not meant to be."

Harry made all the arrangements, doing it privately, sparing no expense, consulting your OBGYN, wanting to do literally everything possible to ensure that your dream of carrying the child, in addition to both of your dreams of having a family all came true.

"I promised you the world, our world, my love. And nothing will keep me from fulfilling that promise." H had said to you this morning when you woke up. He even went as far as to make your favorite breakfast. He also knows how much you love the Dino, so that was the car you took. Today is the day the fertilized eggs get planted back inside you. Tomorrow you're sleeping in, and then the next day Harry has to leave for a week to do a few more shows, but he'll be back in time for the two week check to see if it took.

Anne was checking in on you, you knew Harry asked her to, he hated the fact that he had to leave. You and Gem were having baby safe girl time almost every night. And when the two week check came, your OBGYN was already tearing up.

Seeing her tears you assumed the worst, and by the looks of it, so did Harry.

"Those better be happy tears like mine." She had said to the two of you.

You and Harry froze, once the words she had said sunk in, you finally regained your ability to speak.

"I…I…I'm actually pregnant?" You said, crying again.

"You 100% are." She replied. Harry couldn't hold it together any longer. He hugged you, then hugged your OBGYN and then hugged you again.

She gave you instructions on what to start watching for, some exercises to help, and everything else she could to ensure a healthy and safe pregnancy.

When you and H got back to the house, you grazed your fingers along the door handle to the future nursery with a smile on your face as you and Harry celebrated the miracle inside you.

Today has been a whole lot of just snuggles and trying to make my tiny gremlin feel better. There are a million things I need to be doing, especially since we just moved this weekend and everything is in boxes everywhere. But I will always take every snuggle I can get because they come few and far between these days.

I think the red hair pirates would be obsessed with S-Hawk too! Especially the main group who've known Mihawk through his teenage marine hunting phase.

Benn would know they are walking on thin ice but look at him! He’s a little baby Mihawk! Look at his little uniform shirt tucked into his little shorts. Every angry and threatening expression s-hawk could make would mean nothing to a crew that has seen the real thing live and in color. It would just be adorable like look at his little frown! His glare! The threat of disembodiment in his eyes! Adorable

Mihawk is very uncomfortable with how much the red hair pirates fawn over and adore what is essentially a manufactured baby him. But yet also somehow touched? By it. He’ll kill everyone and then himself before he admits it tho

Yasopp, who actually did know a shorter 19 year old Mihawk, would ask him if he was that adorable but tiny (still can't comprehend that the seraphim are infact giant) as a child and if he had any pictures, and Mihawk almost takes his head.

poker scene was insane for so many reasons but for me it's eddie wearing that disgustingly lovesick smile as he watches buck and instead of choosing to hide it when buck turns around for an opinion on their winnings he makes it bigger. like he has plenty of time to wipe all that plain as day love of his face, but he just lets it grow for buck to see because eddie lost him for three minutes and seventeen seconds and he doesn't want buck to doubt them for even a moment

Hi! I’m a HUGE FAN of your story The Big Bad Wolf and I’m so honored to be able to talk with you. I have already read the whole story like twenty times and absolutely love it. Klaus is my absolute favorite character in both TVD and TO and I feel he didn’t get the ending he deserved in canon. I’m so glad you gave him a chance to have a relationship with his real dad, and expanded his relationships with his siblings, particularly Kol. I am trying very hard to wait patiently for the rewrite, and from the sneak peeks you’ve posted I’m sure it’s going to be amazing. Also, absolutely love all the Klaroline moments, those two are just made for each other and I sometimes just watch Season 3 and 4 of TVD just for Klaroline. Also love you chose to eliminate all the Hayley drama, just ugh hated that in canon and I hope Hayley NEVER even appears in your stories.

I was wondering though, do you think you might include Klaus having a baby with Caroline maybe? I just always thought is was so cool in canon how he was the only vampire who could reproduce. And I think including this and making it work with like the mate bond being part of the hybrid loophole would be super cool. Also I feel like a huge part of Klaus’s character and his redemption story is him being a dad and the love for his child motivated him more than anything to be a better person and open his heart. I think having him become a dad with the woman he loves would help him to better himself tremendously. Also, love how Caroline was an amazing “mom” to the twins in canon and I feel like having them have a child together just makes perfect sense and that they would be amazing parents.

managed to snag her wing on one and got stuck there until I saw and detangled her and I am not eager to repeat the experience!!

ALSO I finally managed to get a picture of the whole family as it is now :DDD

1 adult Indian stick insect, 1 adult Pink Winged stick insect and three Pink Winged stick insect nymphs at various stages of development

(I also have an Indian stick insect nymph but she lives in a separate enclosure at the moment and is so tiny getting her out would be way to stressful for both her and me)

this is my little girl 💖

she’s running low on time with us, and my dad has been saying things along the lines of ‘this is why I don’t like pets’, because he finds the grieving process so hard.

I don’t fault him for that, he just feels loss deeply and deals with it differently.

sometimes I even find myself falling briefly into the same thinking. ‘what if making a different choice all those years ago saved me and my family from this grief and this pain?’

but I also know there’s no way I would make a different decision. no amount of grief could outweigh the joy she’s brought us over these last fifteen years. the laughter, the comfort, the connection.

I think about hikes with my dad when she was tiny and able bodied and would race up ahead of us on the trails and then race back to check on us. I think about the first time she saw snow and she instantly turned into a tiny fluffy bunny rabbit, hopping through drifts that were ankle deep for us but nearly buried her, and the matted snowballs she came away with, looking like a tiny curly haired yeti.

I think of her interrupting GrammE and John’s wedding along with Sagie, confusion turning into laughter as they sped after each other across the backyard ceremony. I think of my mom, lonely on the island and isolated during covid, telling me that Ginger was her saving grace.

and these don’t even scratch the surface. fifteen years of love she’s given us.

so yeah. losing her is going to damn near break me and I know that. but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
