I’m k combining yesterday’s ask slightly with today’s ask: Littles at Christmas!

So, the slightly more boisterous littles such as Lando and Mick, I think, would love Christmas. They’d love the decorations, music, gift-giving parties etc. Maybe, they also love playing with their little!friends with the new toys they received.

However, I particularly wish to talk about the softer, more sensitive little such as Arthur and George perhaps? Personally, from what has been said, I think that whilst they do enjoy all the festivities of Christmas, it can be overwhelming at times: particularly with how little they both tend to regress?

Imagine little!George with a special pair of Christmas earmuffs that his mommy bought him so that when they have guest over, maybe the fellow drivers, he can get wear them so that he isn’t too stressed out and can enjoy the fun? Though, they may have a signal between them in case George needs time away.

Arthur, as we’ve said, is very happy so longer as he’s with his Mommy. I’m thinking that maybe they always wear matching Christmas pyjamas so that Arthur knows she’s always there for him? Or they spend a lot of the time cuddled under a festive blanket? Then, any guest can come and give Arthur affections and gifts without him having to stray.

Anyway, that’s a very long ask so I’m sorry, but I will always take the chance to talk about littles (Little!Arthur just has my heart ❤️ and you write him so beautifully)

Aw yes!! All of these thoughts are so on point I love them. I'm gonna discuss a bit about each little mentioned here and then I can always discuss any of the ideas more if you guys would like :))

LITTLE!LANDO:

Of course Lando loves Christmas!! He loves presents and spending time with family and all the Christmas activities. He just loves the whole season so so much.

However I don't think that Lando would be good with sharing his toys, at least not at first. Because they're his new toys!! He wants to play with them by himself and with you and no one else. A few weeks later he'll be willing to share his new toys, but at first no!

(Except with little!George, little!George can play with his new toys)

LITTLE!MICK:

Mick loves Christmas too! But he's the complete opposite of Lando in that he LOVES to share his toys. The moment he opens a gift, he immediately looks around to see who is around and who might want to play with him.

You actually have to remind Mick that those toys are for him, because he'll always want to give them to others. He just wants to make others happy!!!

And of course he always wants to help you! He wants to help make Christmas food and decorate the tree and even clean the house after guests come over. He's just the sweetest little boy.

LITTLE!GEORGE:

I fully agree that little!George can be very overwhelmed at Christmas time, especially because of how many people come over and how many people he has to see. George usually likes to regress at least once a week with you, and when its Christmas and so many friends and family want to come over, that's not always possible. Which leads to George feeling awful and desperately wanting to regress and then being so overwhelmed.

Having said that, you do get him to enjoy Christmas with you! You introduce him to cute Christmas movies and let him watch you bake cookies.

We said a while ago that he would love to play animal crossing with you? He doesn't play, he just watches you and comments and points at pretty things. You show him that animal crossing has special Christmas items and Christmas events and he loves those! Together you redo your entire island to be Christmas themed and that becomes a Christmas tradition.

LITTLE!ARTHUR:

I love the idea that you sit in a corner with Arthur while all the other littles play and interact with others. Arthur doesn't enjoy doing that because other littles are loud and scary!! Even Charles!

So you cuddle with Arthur and watch all the others, and people can come up to you to chat or give Arthur some affection. Arthur happily accepts all the head pats and cuddles and babbles happily when Lewis comes over to ask how he's enjoying the Christmas party.

okay so my brain is braining and i’m thinking about how the littles would react to snow? i feel like the older littles like Mick would love playing in it but there’s also the littles like Arthur or George who i just feel like wouldn’t enjoy it because they regress so young? i don’t know just a thought. anyways have a good day/night!

Aw I love this!!! Cute little space content is so so good I love it. I'm gonna talk a little bit about some of the littles here and I'm happy to discuss any of these ideas more in future asks :))

LITTLE!MICK:

Mick LOVES snow!! It's so much fun!! And he gets so excited, so much so that he'll actually see snow and it tends to trigger him to regress? He associates snow with little space, with playing in the snow with you and Angie.

He especially LOVES snowball fights!! Though his aim is absolutely terrible in littlespace so you have to move really really slowly to let him get some hits in.

LITTLE!LOGAN:

We've said this before but I'll say it again: little!Logan regresses older as well, and he just LOVES doing activities with you? He's well aware that he doesn't regress as young as some of the littles and it makes him insecure because he feels like he's not as fun to care for?

Which is to say that Logan loves spending time together, and loves one on one time. So when it snows he gets so excited because you can make snowmen together! And snow angels!

LITTLE!ARTHUR:

Arthur is not a big fan of snow, because he's not a big fan of the cold, it's too cold!! Arthur doesn't like temperature changes, be it hot or cold either way he doesn't like it.

But then you show him how when it's cold, it's perfect for cuddles under blankies! And then he's a very happy little boy again, snuggling against your chest under a comfy blanket and listening to you reading him stories. It's also the perfect time for warm milk!!

LITTLE!GEORGE:

I think little!George would actually be excited for snow at first, because it's so pretty! But then he goes outside and he realises snow is cold and wet and he HATES it.

He actually starts crying, because it's not nice!!! You quickly pull him inside for a hug, telling him that you'll show him what else can be done when it's snowing. You make some hot cocoa and put it in his bottle for him and then set up some pillows and blankets by the window so that you two can watch the snow together.

The ultimate dogboy in Dunmeshi to me isn’t Laios, Lycion or even Kuro. It’s Mickbell.

Little dog man’s never had enough. Little dog man has someone in his hands already but it’s not all that he’s wanted and craved. He’s hungered for so long and now he doesn’t know what can quench it. When you’ve been hungry, once you have something it’s hard to not binge eat it because you never know when you’ll lose it. He wants more from them, more of them, more to chew, more safely locked within his teeth, more to taste on his tongue. Hungry greedy unkempt misbehaved. I think he loves like a dog I think he slobbers and digs his teeth in because he doesn’t want to let his bone go and he’s hungry and starved.

And he’s not like Laios he’s not like Kuro he’s not like Lycion, calling him a dog in any way would be the greatest offense to him but also it’s true. Sorry. Dogboy against your consent. You better be ready to unpack a lot of stuff you don’t like hearing about yourself!!!! The unwilling dogboy analogies are the most interesting ones get out Laios and Lycion. Mick doesn’t want to be a dog, it’s dehumanizing, demeaning, but he is, he loves like a dog.

Feeling dehumanized and demeaned by loving so much, by being walked on a leash by your feelings until your body acts on instinct like it’s primal and animalistic, for feelings you cannot control, and you’re drooling you’re drooling you’re clawing teeth snapping but you’re on hands and knees begging for scraps and treats. Just a dog picking up crumbs of a fine meal from where it’s dropped on the floor, affection from coerced hands, peanuts of self-esteem from judging others, anything to soothe while surviving.

It will come back by Hozier save me. "I love like a dog" and everyone is unhappy about this, it’s too much for everyone involved, 10/10. Dunmeshi animalistic metaphors you never miss. Stray dog mick. If I don’t use a dog motif in my mick fics it’s not me someone is impersonating me

i just feel like ian would always be wanting to slow dance with mickey. like all the time. he'd be a little cheeseball and put on music and make mickey dance with him just because he loves him and wants to be close to his hubby <3

Mickey always lets Ian pick the music when they're cooking together, and Ian is always grateful. He loves Mickey's dad rock Spotify playlists, but after listening to them all day when they're out on the job, all Ian really wants to put on some slow, soft, indie music to help him relax.

He and Mickey jabber their way through making supper, Ian talking about some family drama happening between Lip and Tami and Mickey going on about Iggy trying to find a legal job. They keep yapping all the way through their meal, too, just enjoying hearing each other talk. Listening to the other's stories about what's going on with their respective in-laws, mostly, since they spend pretty much all day together.

Once they're done eating, Ian gets up and takes their dishes to the sink while Mickey reminds him that they need to kid-proof the apartment for Franny's stay this weekend. Ian chuckles and gives a quiet "I know, Mick, I remember" as he grabs his phone and changes the music.

He turns back to Mickey, a big grin on his face, as the strings start playing over the small speaker.

♫ At last...

My love has come along ♫

He holds out his hands for Mickey, who rolls his eyes, but still takes them and stands with a grin.

"Fuckin' sap," Mickey teases, shaking his head with a small chuckle and wrapping his arms around Ian's waist.

♫ My lonely days, are over ♫

"You know it, baby," Ian smiles, leaning in to Mickey's teasing and wrapping his arms around his husband.

♫ And life is like a song...

Oh, yeah, yeah ♫

Ian pulls Mickey close and Mickey leans his head on Ian's chest, letting him take the lead in swaying them back and forth to the music.

♫ At last

The skies above are blue ♫

They move back and forth together in their small kitchen and dining space, swaying along to the music and enjoying a soft moment made just for them.

This, Ian thinks, is the perfect way to finish a busy Tuesday.
