I think what's so funny about the whole "Hera having a vision about her own death" sorta thing is that she's following it like a goddamn IKEA manual. Not only is she just going "welp, guess I'll die!" but she's even dressing herself in the exact same outfit she saw in the vision.

Hades and Persephone weren't even dressed the exact same in the vision she had of them getting married in the Vol 1 bonus chapter-

And don't get me wrong, it's definitely a sort of cliche storyline for a character to have a vision and then try to defy it, but that's like... sort of half the point of having a vision plotline to begin with. Of course, Rachel circumvents this by showcasing it as a sort of tragic positive for Hera to go along with the vision, because it would be making some sort of grand sacrifice for Persephone to utilize to defeat Kronos (but that's... really ick when you consider the fact that Kronos is her abuser sigh) so it sort of makes sense for Hera to go along with the vision, but down to even wearing the same dang outfit, like girl it's a vision, not a list of commands, I don't think the outfit you're wearing has ANY bearing on whether or not this vision plays out when you're walking right into it and expecting it to happen LMAO

Unless this is some sort of Kingdom-Hearts-0.2-to-Kingdom-Hearts-1 pipeline explanation thing where the outfit HAS to be there for the plot to work?? 💀😆

IDK man I'm really not taking it that seriously, the entire plot at this point is a mess, but the Hera outfit thing is one of the funnier things that I'm getting a good laugh at, because damn, girl really understood the assignment 💀😆 Hera calling the nearest Forever 21 like "yo I was serving cunt in this vision I had of me dying so obviously I need to die in the EXACT outfit I saw, do you have it in extra small???" 😆

I must be the only one who believes that male was crying his eyes out over Andras every night during the first book. Who still thinks of Jesminda even with all of his lovers he's been with. He's always been a depressed character, he's just experienced more trauma that makes it harder to be the funny, rakish guy we fell in love with. Lucien is the type of character who hides his feelings of guilt and sadness with jokes but he is just losing that sort of energy and will with every fucking chapter. He still mourns Jesminda; he probably hasnt' seen his mother in ages; he recently lost Andras; he went through a bunch of shit UTM; he has been kicked out of a Court he used to call home not once, but twice and technically three times because the Night Court treats him like shit despite everything he's done; he lost his best friend; he is struggling with his mate, etc etc etc.

He is going through some shit but that doesn't make him boring for fucks sakeeeeee!

Also, there are people acknowledge he's been through a rough time (or even worse; they don't acknowledge it) but in the same sentence will say he will stay irrelevant despite all the future plots surrounding him and the fact that his mate in the future FMC.

We will get the funny, rakish Lucien in the future books. And hat's because we will see him heal from his traumas.

I have been down to look at that room again in daylight, for I must know the truth. 

Even if today's entry was short, it was extremely concise in explaining the declining mental state that Jonathan is dealing with it, on top of taking a huge peek inside his dilemma in the castle.

It has been sadly established that Jonathan is suffering greatly thanks to the Count purposefully messing up his sleep schedule, and abruptly revealing all of the supernatural stuff he can do in situations in which Jonathan doubts his own mind.

Did he truly saw the Count go down in his lizard fashion, or the lack of sleep is getting to him? Did the three Weird Sisters actually existed, or that awful experience was just another nightmare? All of this is the result of Jonathan just trying to make sense of anything he sees as he jumps from his own shadow, and deals with nightmares. It's the expected result that Dracula wants to extend this obligatory play in which Jonathan can't get out alive.

However, even if today ends with a note of fearful realization, it was not in vain.

When I got to the doorway at the top of the stairs I found it closed. It had been so forcibly driven against the jamb that part of the woodwork was splintered. I could see that the bolt of the lock had not been shot, but the door is fastened from the inside.

How joyful is to find something, anything, that proves that such traumatic event did happen. That your mind is not playing games with you.

soft!merthur obsessed with each other and being completely, glaringly obvious about it. walking close enough for their fingers to be constantly brushing, talking with their other hand and refusing to break the touch. standing next to each other in a group, slowly shifting closer and closer until they’re pressed up against each other. despite there being other people, whenever they speak the other just has to respond leading them to turn to one another and have their own back and forth, their heads tilting closer and closer until their noses are just inches apart. merlin pretending to find issues with arthur’s clothes to fix that aren’t actually there just to touch him but arthur’s not gonna comment on that bc it means he gets to feel merlin’s touch. gazing at each other across the room, across the training field, across camp, etc and just watching them exist with the softest gaze and a small, tender smile. when the other feels their gaze they look up at them first and meet their eyes unflinchingly. them staring at each other for a moment before they resume what they should be doing (albeit slightly flustered). arthur finding any excuse to keep merlin in his chambers just a little while longer when he should be retiring for bed
