Okay, I don’t know if you remember me but I was the Anon who asked advice for being a Senior some months ago. I’d like to start by saying that I'm so sorry I went to you for such strange advice, it was very odd for me to do 😭 but anyways I’m here because I’m graduating on the 30th and I guess I thought you’d want to know. I made it!!! Your advice really did help a lot even if I asked it from a desperate place. I’m going to a really good university to study English Literature and Writing. I still read your fanfics and every time I see there’s an update I get super excited!! Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that you helped someone who was in a really dark place and now they’ve made it, so thank you so much and keep writing those fics!! 🩷🩷

But heyyyyyy omg, you're graduating!!!! That's amazing news, congratulations! I'm so glad you made it, good job on hanging in there! School is hard, but you saw it through, and now Uni's going to be a totally new experience - so much to look forward to! Even then, when things get a little too difficult and you're worried again, try to remember that if you made it through school; you can make it through Uni too. Doing it one day at a time is good enough. Breathe. And please find time to do the things you love; that really helps.

I'm very glad to hear that!! I'd actually hoped to write something like this for a long time, especially after I watched Tchaikovsky's Pique Dame at the opera. It's a very common trope, this struggle for a better life, and I wanted to convey the bleak outcome myself.

Yan!Soldier resembles both Raskolnikov and Herman in that regard. He swings between misery and egomania. He despises his background and blames fate for overlooking his potential. He's deeply envious of the rich, frustrated by his lack of status, and looks down on the aristocracy that came into wealth by mere luck and labour of the less fortunate. He deserves it. He's intelligent, ambitious, a man above all other men. A natural-born leader, meant to be served and not to serve.

You can tell that Yan!Soldier struggles a lot when it comes to financial status. He's profoundly insecure, spiteful, and opportunistic. He has no trouble selling his comrades if it means he can step forward. You see the insatiable greed in his eyes, and you wonder if he even truly loves you, or you're just a mere aid to his goals.

In truth, he loves you dearly. It is, however, a very possessive kind of love. You are his first achievement, his apologetic gift from the Gods above. He could never imagine his life without you - his very glimmer of hope. Thus, he is tremendously jealous. Whenever you interact with someone else, it makes him feel like he's sharing his wealth. Oh, no, he's not that generous. These fools aren't worthy of your presence.

He knows too well that he's a miserable, unscrupulous crook. You'd probably be much happier with someone else, someone happier, more resourceful. Yet, he wants to be selfish for once. Won't he be allowed just this one craving?

I know this is kind of odd of me to ask a complete stranger, but I’m desperate and I’ve been crying alone in my room all day. I start school tomorrow and I’m going to be a senior, I’m not ready to grow up. I don’t mean to burden you with all this information, but I love reading your fics and you seem like a super wise person. Any advice on what to do as a senior who just wants to stay a kid forever?

I'm in my late 20s but you know what? I'm still a kid at heart. I recently qualified my final exams, which means I'm no longer a student. Instead now I have to head into the frightening world of adults and learn how to deal with workplace politics. It scares me. I've always been a kid inside and I don't know how to be anything else. I'm also super lonely. Far more than I might come across as haha xD

But the thing is... You don't have to ever stop being a kid. Your body ages, your family will remember that you're a number older every year, but you can still be a kid at heart forever and ever. You can still go on walks or hikes or build a pillow fortress in your living room and binge watch your favourite shows. You can still find wonder in things. People lose their sense of wonder as they grow up and largely, it is due to peer pressure and stress. But keeping your heart young is a good thing to do :3 I still regularly go watch and read things I loved in my childhood. I still shape my hair like Kagome from Inuyasha in the bath and scream "Naraku! I'm coming for your head!" When I'm making tea, I listen to badass OSTs from SnK and pretend to draw my swords. Sometimes I'm watering my garden, and I pretend the colossal titan is right there on my street and I run away screaming (and my dogs chase me). These are things that keep my days fun even though I too, spend a great deal of time feeling depressed and down.

The Outer World™ is scary if you look at the stressful, brutal, dull side of things. But it still has a lot that you can find joy in.

Don't be afraid to grow up. It doesn't mean you stop being a kid.

I'm suffering from baby fever and i'm thinking about how overjoyed hl would be when him & his partner's baby reaches out to grab his hand. Little tiny hand with their whole fist around one of his fingers looking up at him with those big loving eyes. don't look at me i'm ugly sobbing in the corner

nooooo don't do this to me!!! the scene of him holding baby Teddy always puts my ovaries in a vice, and he didn't even LIKE that baby. but god he held him so naturally. the little bounces! the back rubs!

i know he's being his very terrible self in this scene but just imagine him with a baby he actually likes 😭
