Hey moon i want to speak a lot so well i hope you love my comment and here i am sharing my experience while reading 'aruani in fort salta' ok first when i searched for fics related to aru ani i got more results and before reading yours i aldready read two fics which was also good but not satisfied.then i got yours when i started to read the the first four chapters it was very steady and smooth it entirely focused on aruani relationship and it was the main pillar for the firstn four ,then were the real banger comes chapter 5'village by the end of the world' first i thought how will the 40 chapters move ,i thought the story will lag a lot but my every point was wrong here i need to appreciate you by saying some points. first ,to move a story we require a reason or issue so i felt there is no way that the story will move because first i thought its just a aruani what can be shown more than a love between them but i was completely wrong the issue and the side plots were extraordinary. first to be honest the first 3 episodes were a slow which the story required as kald is completely new for everyone it required the development of kald characters.then every issues came line by line which moved the story without any lag. 1.Commanders responsibilty :

this was the first issue moving i thing it focused on armins commanders responsibilty which creates an inbalance between his relationship with annie. I think here in the same phase you had teased kari ,hikari, and their interest.then peicks sadness. the letter thingy and mikasa letter not recieved to armin. then annie teaches defense to aoife here the side plot of aoife problems because of her father. asa and armin freindship too. 2.A race for leonhart:

to be honest this is were the story raced for me just the context is extraordinary;armin who's not a great runner races with kari who is aldready experienced and won 5 times we all know for first its going to be kari's peice of cake but at the same time armin cannot lose annie this one line is itself great. till here this race seems to be the greater issue for readers mind like there can be no issue greater than this.This is itself which i want to congratulate you . 3.Peace summit :

actually as i mentioned before the thing i liked in your story telling is the issue you are introducing newly are actually always greater than the previous issue which i don't know how you pulled it off. i think this peace summit is something very crucial point in the story . here when the peace summit phase ends the two sideplot problems too end(kari love interest on leonhart and hikari on armin) side plots:

when this all moves i think the side plots too move well: annie and aoife training and their conversations ,armin and asa,highlands grave ,peick and porco ,developing peick and jean relationship

ok returning to next previous issues 4.Armin birthday: its not an issue but it had the ability to move the story interestingly. and here sort of the ego clash between armin and kari too ends well. here is the first time another side plot teased 'whats between kari,hikari,felipe'. 5.A dad and daughter: here is the next issue i have so much to ask about this, in this new side plots too come levi,gabi,falco arrival. here first a small bud arises in the form of annie's father calling her to stay back with him. this is an amazing plot here when her father gets injured and she is guilt of it armin and annie fights and just wow nothing to tell about this ,this is the greatest point in this story as i said earlier every issue seems to be somehow better than previous one.here another side plot "jean and peick relationship intensity increases"both moving parallely while some of aoife life opens up. OK FINALLY YOU HAD ENDED EVERYTHING HERE SO NOW MY QUESTIONS ARE 1.EVEN IF ANNIE AND ARMIN PROBLEM ENDS WILL ANNIE LEAVE HER FATHER 2.IS AM THE ONLY ONE GETTING IRRITATED WHEN I SEE REINER MOM KARINA OK AT THE END THANKS FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY MOON I WILL GET MY ANSWERS FOR MY QUESTIONS IN THE UPCOMING CHAPTERS I KNOW JUST WAITING FOR NEXT CHAPTER. I have to say tho, on the subject of the first few chapters being slow, I do kind of miss it xD Tbh setting up the world of Kald was the one of the most fun activities ever (seriously, worldbuilding is a pain and etc but sooooo rewarding!) and now that "many" (not all!) things about Kald are established, I really do miss it. But well - who knows, maybe Aruani & co will explore other... aherm, biomes 😌

As for the whole Armin-Kári race thing - that was entirely to indulge my shoujo heart xD Altho it was fun to figure out how to do that without making it waaayyy too shoujo, but. Shoujo, okay? Doctors recommend a daily dose of shoujo to keep the heart, body and mind young. Trust me.

If I set aside this winter arc which is genuinely proving to be one of the most difficult things I'm experiencing in terms of writing (apart from the fact that it's giving me serious grief lol), the Peace Summit arc would have to be the hardest bit of VBEOW so far. Still, I enjoyed it thoroughly because I was able to chop it up into these little segments and somehow make them work not-so-badly together (then again, my brain was working well at that time, so 🙃). It was a fun arc!

And yay for sideplots and fillers!

To address your questions:

1. Unfortunately I can't give you a proper answer to this, because the issue between Annie and her Father is simply not answerable with a "yes/no". There are definitely several layers to peel back and examine here and well, I guess it's obvious that the poor girl has been going through it (since chapter... 30??? I'm so sorry 🥲🥲🥲) but the fact that this is Annie makes it so much harder to just... Put things straightly and clearly. You just can't solve her problems like you can for Armin (tho he's a whole other can of worms). But yeah. Let's wait and see~

2. Hahaha xD I remember wholeheartedly cakcling when (chapter... 37?) Karina brings her friend along to visit Mr. leonhardt in the hospital and in Annie's thoughts, this other lady looks like a "horrible reptile" - I mean, RIP but then this means Annie probably has a much worse impression of Karina herself, which is funny to me xD

But no, I think Karina comes across as a rather unlikeable character even in canon, so it's probably not just you. Her treatment of Reiner is enough reason for it tbh, she was a horrible parent which was obvious enough for anyone watching/reading Aot. Post-canon takes like mine are only about personal headcanons on whether she could have the benefit of being a grey parent or not.

It’s so funny to me that Levi has only one flaw as a soldier and that is not knowing when to shut up. As he told Zeke:

This is what Erwin exploits in ACWNR manga. While he can’t win a physical fight against Levi, he wins an argument with his wit and charisma and convinces Levi to join his side instead of finishing the job. This is what scares Annie off before the scouts can blow up her arms, which results in the failure of the whole expedition. This is what makes Levi underestimate Zeke and be maimed by the thunderspear explosion.
