I got inspired by @rosehippiefield's post about Shin's advice on how to deal with Midori and his own behavior towards Sara (that you can find here!). It made me want to analyze more his reasons behind all of his cruel acts. And how some other people from our main cast were affected because of the death game. So.
People can act very differently in different situations. Their emotions and behaviors are always connected to something they go through. No matter if we understand why and how.
So people that are aggressive, cruel, judgmental, rude, miserable, or every other negative adjective usually have a reason for being the way they are. Knowing the reason is really important for understanding others behavior. Of course understanding the reason doesn’t automatically mean we should like this person or forgive them!
Aggression can happen as a natural response to stress, fear, or a sense of losing control. People also react harshly and negatively when they feel like they are mistreated, people don't listen to them, or they are just frustrated. Fear is a really important factor in how we act too.
In Your Turn To Die we have a really specific situation. A few unsuspecting people got kidnapped and put in an unknown place to fight for their lives.
Death itself is a really strong stressor. So adding to it that basically everything is unknown is really not helping with the pressure.
Like was said before, people can behave differently even in similar situations. Really important are the personality, previous experience and predispositions.
Our main cast experiences different things, and because of that, their perspective and way of going through their current situation can be even more different.
Each of them will react differently because of the trauma and reactions of the body to the situation. Some of them even had traumas before landing in the Death Game by Majority.
There, of course, will be feelings connected with experienced trauma (during and afterwards). There are some that we can also see in the game:
Anger
Numbness or difficulty feeling any strong emotions
Lost
Fear or panic
Grief
Worried
Irritation
Confusion
Restless
Hypervigilance
Shock or horror
Shame
People may be affected by trauma in many different ways. There may be problems with looking after yourself, not being able to have a stable job, being distrustful, forgetting things or they can struggle with low self-esteem. People like that can experience flashbacks, panic attacks, dissociation or suicidal thoughts.
After this long introduction, let's take a closer look at some of our characters!
NAO Nao lost someone very dear to her. She even went a little crazy for a moment. But she is so strong mentally she moved past the death, she didn't give up.
A lot can be said about Nao. That she is rational, really smart, selfless and she is not afraid of making sacrifices for a greater goal. That's why it was her that pushed fake Reko down the pit, saving Sara from making the decision.
She doesn't hold a grudge against Shin. She really pays attention to details, so she notices Reko behaves differently. But she still hits Shin because she got scared (Kai's making) and, more importantly, we get the Massacre Ending.
It is not the greater good, this is not selfless. It is selfish and only for her (and Sara), so she can live. Because it is not fair for anyone to be destined to die.
KANNA Kanna was searching for comfort from Sara. She viewed her as someone safe and trustworthy. Someone she can look up to as a big sister.
I am not saying she was replacing Kugie, but at that moment she needed a sisterly figure and Sara suited this role so well. She gave her support and spent time with her. Sara was the one that was there for Kanna and was from the very beginning.
We see Kanna as someone cowardly, shy and innocent. Maybe a little too trusting. The death she experienced at the beginning didn't help and only made the whole experience worse. But she was with people that she trusted and wanted to help. That she was so brave in the second Main Game, making her death a choice. And even if she lived, her demeanor changed. At least a little. She wants to live for those that died for her and it is making her stronger.
Kanna will always be Kanna, but thanks to all the people that support her, she could show her real self. The prettiest flower in the game.
Q-TARO Q-taro is someone who changed his ways. He could escape with the tokens he got (and did), he could leave Gin for dead. But he wants what he thinks is the best. Being alive was the best he could think of at the beginning.
He is an easygoing and friendly giant with high levels of anxiety and selfishness. He has his moments of doubt, like with the tokens.
When we give him enough tokens, he escapes. Even when Rio tells him that, if he inserts all tokens, everyone else will die. Even when he is offered his tokens back. He just apologizes and turns away from Sara.
When we won't do the trade with him, he can't go with his plan. When his doll talks during the coffin roulette, he admits he wanted to abandon them all even if it meant killing someone. And when he talked with Mai after she woke up, he said that he would do the same as her, but he didn't have the opportunity.
He trusted Mai and didn't blame her for the stabbing because he understood. He made the whole plan of saving others by dying himself. Sacrifice from a guy wanting to live hits so hard.
KEIJI The thing with Keiji is complicated. He is a liar, a murderer and a skiver. But he also is so full of guilt and anger. He is still grieving. Years passed, but he still feels guilty about the death of Mr. Policeman.
He is angry, desperate, lost in the dark thoughts. And he acts on them during his First Trial. But Megumi was his friend once, someone really important to him. They drank together, worked together, spent a lot of time together. So he had another's blood on his hands and the whole death game on his head.
He isn't trusting anyone because he knows he himself has something to hide. But he suppresses all the emotions and hides behind humor and fake flirting. He lies about being a policeman because he thinks that would be the way for others to not think he did anything horrible.
He doesn't feel like someone who can do anything about his situation, let alone theirs all. It is easier to give responsibility to another person, even if she is only 17 years old.
He acts how he believes is the best. He acts without telling the person that is supposed to trust him the most his plans. For the best or for the worst.
The death game isn't really a good supplement for therapy.
SARA Sara is very strong-minded, very befitting for a leader. She is our main character, so it is obvious a lot will revolve around her. But even this is too much. There is just so much on her shoulders.
She is only in high school but she almost died a few times (and she did, probably, as we are the players, so the GAME OVER screen isn't strange for us) in a very short time. She got people she can trust and those that hate her and make her life harder. She became a leader for all of them and they look up to her.
"Are you going to be our goddess of victory... or our angel of death?”
A lot of pressure is put on her. She will be the reason everyone will survive or die. Isn't that comforting, Keiji?
But okay, some may say that she is a born leader anyway, but she holds onto Keiji really hard. He is her anchor after Joe. It is also a way to destroy her if she will ever lose him. Because while Sara is she's extremely competent, she makes mistakes. But we know she will always get up.
Sara is also even more interesting, because we know her rate of survival is 15.5% (and the % of our participants is really curious in itself and deserves its own post). We saw a lot of faces of Sara thanks to simulations. She could be merciless, manipulative and ready to do anything to survive. She is obsessed and selfish, not caring for anyone else, just herself.
And we can't blame her, she wants to live. When we are desperate, we do things that aren't good. Those horrible situations, life-threatening ones, make us different people.
Have you ever heard about the Johari Window?
The Johari Window is a quadrant diagram that is used to show how we know ourselves and how others perceive us. It can be a tool to understand ourselves—how we behave, our character traits, skills, attitudes, knowledge and reactions.
Like the name suggests, there are four parts to this model.
Tumblr media
Open Part - there are things that are known to you and others. If you know you are shy and you act shy towards other people, all of you know that you are shy. We know Nao is an artist. She knows that and tells others she went to study art. She was completely Open with that.
Hidden Part - is when there are aspects only known to you. You keep them hidden from others so others won't know those things about you. For example, you can be very opinionated, but you don't show it to others. Then they can't know that your opinions may be different than theirs because they can't hear your thoughts.
Blind Spot - it is the complete opposite of the previous part. There are things that others know about you, but you are not aware of them. Kanna is really clever. She figured out the password to Kai's laptop when Shin had a problem with it and she knew that Shin tampered with her sister's message. But she still thinks of herself as not smart (she says that in chapter 2 part 2).
Unknown Part - this one is really interesting, because about this part neither you nor others know about yet. Mostly it stays a secret, but sometimes, where there is a really unpredictable situation that can, for example be life-threatening, that Part may come to light.
We never can know how we will behave during those situations that we never lived through. We don't know if we will fight, flight, freeze, flop or fawn.
Q-taro and Sara are perfect examples of the Unknown Part of the Johari Window.
Q-taro's high level of stress pushed him to do some horrible things. When he had to actively choose if it was him or Gin that would die, he didn't do anything. He let Gin get hit because he was afraid to die, even if the poison would work slower on him. Some shame him for this, but if we were in his place, would we do differently? Click a button that could kill us. We don't know and we hopefully won't.
We may say we would do or not do some things, but until the situation happens to us, we won't be sure.
Similar with Sara and her behavior. All the things she did, all the thoughts, emotions, relationships and ways of doing things we see are a result of some really important factor. She changes after the logic route, why?
Because of Joe. He is her tranquilizer, her anchor, her morality. He was the person that made Sara care during the death game.
Her whole behavior switched only because of one person.
When we pick Kanna to live, Sara is how we know her. Compassionate, strong, mature. But when Shin lives, Joe dies again, but this time in her memories. It makes the situation similar to those in simulations.
Even Sara is terrified by what she is doing.
SHIN (+ Midori)
And that's why Shin is so suspicious of Sara all the time! But let's start at the beginning with him.
Shin is, like every character in YTTD, a very complex character. We know him as an annoying, scary and cruel man for most of the game. Some of us hate him still and some took him as their favorite.
What he did and his reasons aren't forgettable. But it is nice to see a reason behind his behavior.
Midori is sadistic and really cruel. He torments others for his own amusement and loves to watch them break. He loves to make others be afraid of him—and that's why he always tries to be intimidating by holding eye contact and saying unsettling things. He is mean and childish, but he also is really good at reading people. He uses that for his own use, to push the limits of others, control them and let them fall in desperation.
Shin spent a lot of time with Midori. He was his only friend in school and he was so scared of him. Midori did everything to make Shin uncomfortable, but also unable to leave him.
But thanks to that, he knows a lot about him. Shin knows Midori loves control, so taking it away from him is lethal. He knows that Midori is so afraid of death (even if Midori thinks nobody will ever kill him), he is a coward that cares only about himself.
When Shin gives Sara advice, it is so ironic. He tells Sara she should act how he acts towards her. To try to intimidate Midori, make him scared, take away his control.
The advice is important, because only thanks to that can we see how Shin sees Sara and his situation.
Sara is so similar to Midori. Shin can see in her all those cruel acts that never happened. She is in so much control because she is the leader and makes a lot of final decisions. She can be so intimidating. She has sometimes emotional outbursts (that are entirely justified). Additionally, she has a really high % of survival that automatically makes her the most dangerous enemy.
Of course Sara isn't like Midori. Their reasons are different and Sara is genuinely a really good person. But Shin has problems with distinguishing them.
Shin definitely got traumatized during his "friendship time" with Midori. It affected him so much, he is searching for danger in anything remotly similar to what he already knows. His defence mechanism and heuristic try to save him, but it does more harm than good.
He got hurt by someone close to him, so he is extra careful. He doesn't want to be too close to people, prefers to be distant and mean. He prefers to act as someone he hates and is scared of, why?
Because he is afraid. In his own eyes, he is weak and easy to get rid of if he is useless. He thinks the way to survive is to act as the only person that made him feel the worst.
Intimidation, cruelty, cunning, manipulation, lies. Those are the keys to survival in the world where it is kill or be killed. If he is those things, he may live longer than if he were himself.
But as we know, Shin also isn't like Midori. He cares—for Kanna, Gin, even for Keiji and Sara. And he wants them all to escape, despite everything. But going back to old Shin isn't an option anymore. Too much has happened.
Fear is infinitely connected with anger. Anger makes people mean and impulsive. That's why after Kanna's death, he made the worst Joe experience for Sara. That's why he was so mean to Kanna when it turned out that she isn't the Sacrifice and is ready to die for him.
That's why he hates Sara. He is so, so afraid it hurts.
He wants to destroy any possibility that could hurt him and the only way, in his opinion, for that to happen is to hit first. And that's how they should fight with Midori.
Fight fire with fire.
But if anyone knows how extinguishing fire with fire works, then they know that at the end both fire dies and the forest will still be burnt. There will always be victims, no matter if they are main or side characters.
Fire destroys. Midori is so widespread that he can't be stopped by using only water. Sara is a small fire that Shin wants to nip in the bud before it is greater than the forest itself.
But we are heading towards the end slowly. There are fewer and fewer people. Relations will always be strained but also deeper, on another level. Let's see how they will act in the final chapter!
THE END
Finally, I just want to say: there always will be choices to choose, decisions to decide and fires to fight. We can hate, love or like anyone for any reason, but it is important to understand the other person.
Sometimes life is so unpredictable. We won't know what will happen and what we will do. We don't know ourselves as well as we think we do.
But let's be kind to ourselves and others. We don't know what they went through and what will happen to us.

TWST X DP
yep, I’m going back to my old favorite with my current favorite, called me crazy but I actually think it’s a little bit more fun.
With the fact that Danny would in Twisted Wonderland and when it happens is after D-stabilize and before Phantom Planet or after Phantom Planet (I can’t decide which one) so with that in mind I can see when Danny meets Grim, he wouldn’t be fearful to him as that Ghost boy has dealt with worse.
In a way Danny can get away from Grim easily (the poor cat would struggle to find him until he did XD) though Danny would try to reason with Grim but of course he wouldn’t listen and try to attack Danny until Crowley showed up and stopped the devil cat.
Interesting Facts:
• Danny doesn’t fully trust Crowley as the headmaster wouldn’t keep his promise for getting Danny back to his world, in Danny’s case he isn’t really responsible enough. (Oof 😭😅)
whenever he gets annoyed or mad at Grim, Danny usually calls him ‘lil menace’, ‘gremlin’, and ‘Devil cat’ as he refuses to be called Grim’s “minion”
When Danny shows his ghosts powers to Ace and Deuce it was around in the dwarf’s mines when he saved Deuce from the phantom blot (at the time they didn’t know that)
In classes in NRC Danny actually had a good grasp on class lesson to a point where he gets genuine good grades, confused and surprised he goes up to Crewel asking if there is a mistake and when Crewel confirms that all his class work is correct. The poor Halfa was in complete shock that he would say “I- I never had this good grades besides that one test..” he said which would make Crewel genuinely concerned about the Halfa (papa Crewel is best Crewel QwQ)
In each of overblot victims’ memories came when Danny see them he would genuinely feel bad (pacifically Riddle’s, Azul’s, Idia’s, and Malleus’s) he sees those memories seeing them struggling with their trauma similar to his trauma (yes Danny has some trauma but hide it better until he lose his composure.)
The more time Danny constantly facing the phantom blot (since he doesn’t want to hurt the victims) after Grim in the end of book 5 scratches him in his ghost form, his injury would get infected with some of the blot that overtime he would have a high chance to be Overblot himself as well (the rest of the Twst crew would know Danny’s personal struggles and fears mainly of Dan Phantom)
Danny does sense a lot of ghosts in Twisted Wonderland as his own ghost sense would go off so if the Ramshackle ghosts try to scare Danny then he would be aware which actually amuse the Halfa as he is surprised that the ghosts in twisted wonderland is different in his own world and even the ghost zone as well.
When Danny befriended some of the main Twst crew, he is actually close to the first years though when he met Jack Howl it was awkward as his dad’s name is Jack so, to insure of no confusion Danny would call Jack Howl by his last name or ‘Jackie’ which it is understandable to Jack as he does not want Danny to be uncomfortable.
In story Danny would have to use his ghost powers in so many ways as in book 1 when Ace was kicked out and had Riddle’s collar on, out of curiosity and thinking Danny used his intangibility on the collar and taking it off of Ace’s neck which made the Heartslabyul student very happy but Danny told Ace that he had to put it back on his neck so that Riddle wouldn’t know. To the dismay of Ace but begrudgingly he agreed on it as it for safety reasons.
when Danny met Malleus, to the Halfa he thinks that Malleus is really cool and would call Malleus ‘Draco’ because of a constellation and also means Dragon as well, for Malleus was surprised that Danny would nickname him of thing that he was passionate about which made the dragon fae felt happy as they both would talk about their favorite interests (Malleus with gargoyles while Danny is Stars and space)
When any Twst characters asks Danny about his family and friends, he would definitely talk about them mostly he would also talk about his other friends from different dimensions, a boy who is big genius, a buck tooth boy with little creatures could give anything he wants, and finally a friendly sea sponge who is a fry cook. Danny would admit that he haven’t heard anything from them for a while now but understand if they find out that he is in another dimension they would be freaked out. (Aka Danny talking about Jimmy, Timmy, and SpongeBob though tbh I think Timmy would be jealous on Danny to be in a world that magic does exist XD)
The end of Malleus’s OB, Sam and Tucker did find a way to get into Twst with the help from Wulf who used his claws to get into the world and to find Danny, only to find out that he dealing with an overblot and become overblot himself.
in the Masquerade event would be interesting as Danny would have seen the ghost of Rollo’s late little brother Theo Flamme who stayed invisible in front of anyone except Danny could see him due to be a half ghost
Danny would tell about his ghost adventures to the first years group as Deuce would describe that Danny is a superhero which makes Danny happy about it
if Floyd or maybe even Grim would try to call him Dan or Dan-Dan you would bet Danny would get triggered as he would tell them in a coldest voice “Don’t EVER call me Dan again..!” and later he would tell everyone why after seeing his memories after his overblot.
so in short Danny would have to deal a lot issues but also would the moment that he would admit that he also has trauma issues.
I hope you guys like this idea that I come up with! I will also explain another AU that’s involved with Danny Phantom and the Owl House! Be on a lookout for that. Hope you guys have a good day/night!

Things I think about Tsukinami that make sense in my head
Tumblr media
Man, I've had Tumblr for about a year and I've only just come to write something here. I'm even surprised at my ability to forget such a great app. 🤦🏾‍♀️
Well, here are some opinions about the Tsukinami brothers, I hope someone has the same perception as mine, or whatever, just understands what I mean. Remembering that these are just opinions and ideas taken from somewhere in my head, that have no real relationship with someone's life. Some canons and headcanon too.
❐❐❐❖❏❏❏
❖First of all, I think it's crazy that people who say that Tsukinami would be “liberal” guys. Like, I don't know, they would let their partner do whatever they wanted after some time together where they had more trust, or something like that. Dude, honestly, in MY OPINION, they wouldn't do that. On the contrary, in my view they are extremely toxic and invasive, your partner would barely have freedom, or personal space, just the bare minimum.
❖Another thing I find strange is the fact that some people say that Carla would never go to extreme lengths to restore her own bloodline. Like, there are people who doubt that he would be capable of sexually violating his partner to get what he wants and, bro, I'm sorry to say, but he would. In the game itself you can understand that this supposedly happened to the protagonist, so I can't believe he would respect his partner's time to, I don't know, have sex and his partner conceive.
❖I also see Carla as someone very desperate to have children, so I can't see him as a 100% gentleman, in my head you either accept having sex with him willingly or fuck off.
❖Another character who would be like this would be Shin and I believe it would be even worse, because the guy is a sadist to the extreme. Like, he wouldn't respect his s/o, much less listen to what his s/o has to say, on the contrary, he would literally treat his s/o as someone who simply exists to satisfy him and meet his needs.
❖Another thing that I don't want to believe is that Shin, in my theory, is very similar to his father and also a great playboy daddy's boy, consequently I think he took several toxic traits from Giesbach, so yes, I I think he would actually cheat on his s/o. I'm not saying it would be a betrayal in a sexual way, but I imagine him a lot flirting and hitting on other women, even kissing or going out with them, letting her touch his body and vice versa, but not going to the extreme. Just to show your s/o that you're not the only one. Simply because he is a brat.
❖The Tsukinami for me are very complex characters, partly due to the countless traumas they had in childhood and also because of their strange principles, such as the fact that I faithfully believe that they are somewhat "sexist" and for that reason they see women as inferior and naturally submissive to their male supremacy. So man, as much as I like the brothers I can't ignore these ideas that may or may not be true.
❐❐❐❖❏❏❏
Well, these are some of my opinions that may or may not make sense. Remembering that these are MY OPINIONS and that you should not base them on the anime/manga/game. If you have anything you would like to comment on, feel free, I accept CONSTRUCTIVE criticism! (Sorry if there are some errors, my main language is not English.)
I hope you liked it, see you later!

percy jackson headcanons + picrews (long post, hcs under the cut. only grover, annabeth, and percy. i use the homestuck troll quadrants to describe their relationships)
in order: annabeth, percy, grover
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
some notes on their designs: they all have a lot more scars, grover’s mainly being on his legs from running through forests, annabeth’s mainly being on her sides (as she gets too cocky during fights and leaves them open on accident), and percy’s mainly being on her chest. annabeth and percy look really similar, but they’re not intended to be, just how picrew works ykyk. grover wears sunglasses and really baggy clothes to hide his goat features. percy is fem as hell and would prob love skirts, but i didnt really like any of them in the picrew.
percy
🐟 if you think hes cis, straight, or white ur crazy
🐟 on that note. Trans girl who uses she/he/bite, biromantic asexual but romance repulsed attraction to men due to trauma, and she’s latino, black, and libyan
🐟 i see people headcanon her name as persephone a lot and while i do love that to me shes parand and still goes by percy!
🐟 middle kid regressor, prob 7-13. i dont think bite would change much in terms of personality, besides maybe being louder due to lack of volume control
🐟 solarpunk, afropunk, hopepunk, and underseapunk for sure. she is an ACTIVIST!!! he, his siblings, his mom, and grover go to protests together im correct
🐟 fav bands: my chemical romance, pleasure venom, fea, meet me @ the altar, the tuts, and la armada. i dont listen to pierce the veil but maybe them too?
🐟 sharkhearted, aquatickin, and oceankin!
🐟 radicalized the rest of the 7, and while bite grew up with punk beliefs (ty sally), i think thalia was the one who gave her the final push ykyk?
🐟 he is NOT skinny and he does NOT have a 6 pack!! listen. most of bites exercise comes from combat and strength training. and typically, strength training (ESPECIALLY combat) doesnt focus heavily on bodybuilding. My girl is big and has muscles and is proud
🐟 collects comic books, legos, and video games! favorite comic run is napalm lullaby, doesnt have a favorite lego set but has a small ocean animals one she bought second hand that she pulls apart and puts together again for comfort, and she doesnt have a favorite video game but the one she replays the most is is sonic adventures 2! video games are his special interest (did i mention i hc him as autistic. Well that too. bite’s audhd dyslexic)
🐟 isnt dating annabeth anymore (in my perfect world). the two broke up and both are way happier and healthier as adults. i think that annabeth needed to be away from percy to get better, and percy COULDNT be better with annabeth.
🐟 (i do think theyd have the best femme&butch solidarity as friends once they are both ready to do so! just need time for healing and all, ykyk?)
🐟 jason is her ex-moirail and her auspitice for her and annabeth! jason stops them from entering an abusive pitch relationship. used to be clarrise’s kismesis, but broke it off to take a break from relationships (reason he broke off from being jason’s moirail)
annabeth
📘 i dont have many hcs for her because to me, shes a better character concept then character
📘 my girl is butch trust meeee. “oh shes so fem and percys strong fem gf” HER? HERR?? THAT ANNABETH? OUR ANNABETH?
📘 she/they demi-caedromantic butch lesbian demigirl. i think a lot of pjo characters like multiple genders in theory, but due to trauma, have lost most (or all) attraction to them. to me, she used to be interested in romance, but fell off from that after everything happened
📘 does NOT get good grades. I love her and i think shes actually smart because she likes to study, but like… my girl has dyslexia and adhd. and their mom is the goddess of WISDOM, not INTELLIGENCE. theres no way theyre getting all As and Bs
📘 afropunk and anarchopunk. shes not as active in local scenes due to them bouncing around (though their heart will always be in the punk scene in LA), but if theres a protest in her general area THEYRE GOING. i also think theyre riot grrrl but only after ending her relationship with percy and getting better as a person
📘 fav bands (during relationship, im not sure what she’d listen to post-percabeth): mel bryant & the mercy makers, the muslims, pat the bunny, mischief brew, big joanie, violent femmes, boygenius. i think she was largely influenced by grover and thalia, but starts really developing her own music taste when they settle down in their own life
📘 her hair is FUCKED UP. she tries to take good care of it!! they really do!! but after years of living in a camp with not a whole lot of access to supplies for their hair type, and then living on a BOAT with even LESS access, their hair is really damaged. all the seven have fucked up hair, but theirs especially, since they were under so much stress that she didn’t care much for upkeep.
📘 was radicalized to be anarchopunk and afropunk by thalia, but became riot grrrl thanks to piper’s influence
📘 not autistic (in the books, maybe the show). i personally dont see her as having many autistic traits (though they DEF have adhd traits and its insane people dont acknowledge that a lot). but yeah i just? cant see it? idk
📘 when they were dating percy they didnt realize they didnt actually have feelings and was just comphet. this led to a really unhealthy relationship. then by the time she realized the feelings had developed to just hate and they felt bad leaving. they eventually separated and she got a lot better
📘 away from dating for a while, but has a small, unrequited pale crush on piper
grover
🫐 GROVERRRRR guys hes one of my favs unironically
🫐 mixed african american-indian guy whos a t4t bisexual trans guy and uses he/him. “oh but all satyrs are male” yeah but also this is a book series that has been inaccurate about greek mythology since the beginning so shh
🫐 carries iron supplements with him because while he’s used to relying on hay and feed for iron, he can’t exactly do that disguised as a human
🫐 his handwriting is SHIT. i think most of his handwriting comes from signing himself up for things so that means he constantly looks like he’s signing his signature. only juniper can somewhat make it out and thats because hers is just as bad
🫐 solarpunk, afropunk, and hopepunk!!!! he is literally the og solarpunk trust me.
🫐 fav bands: punk on toast, earth 2 tiffany, tell everyone we’re dead, the tuts, be steadwell, zaphyria
🫐 age regresses to rlly young with no cg! he doesnt particularly want one either? hes just doing his own thing. percy is his playmate :)
🫐 not my headcanon but my friend says hed be really tenderheaded, like as in “can barely do his own hair without it hurting”. idk how accurate this is but i agree because my friend says so
🫐 used to get roped into the stoll’s pranks. he’d help them sneak onto the strawberry trucks, steal things, etc. eventually stopped as he got more anxious, but he and the stolls are still fairly close and he’ll still help them play pranks on occasion
🫐 fruits are his ultimate safe foods! strawberries, apples, whatever! he keeps a packet of fruit on him everywhere he goes for snacks
🫐 sees thalia, annabeth, and percy as his younger siblings. i think he deserves to be their proud older brother, as a treat <3. used to see luke as the same way, but not anymore for obvious reasons
🫐 juniper is her one and only matesprit!

✧ Weekly TWST Reblog Replies! - #1 ✧
idk if i'll make this a consistent thing, mainly because i'm inconsistent- but I do like replying to other people's opinions on my posts, so yeah! expect these every week for the most part, unless there's no reblogs..
credits : @cafekitsune for the dividers
Tumblr media Tumblr media
reply to @usurper-of-heavens - No, you're absolutely not underestimating them. I wholly believe that that the characters in-game mischaracterize Kalim just as much as the fandom does. I will argue that for the characters, it's actually reasonable, since not all of them know him all that well. Even so, the fact that a ton of them don't think about what it means to be an heir to a throne, minus the pampering and luxurious life, is kinda crazy to me..
I'm more so disappointed that the princes don't recognize this, and although Malleus was probably fine his whole life, why does Leona not acknowledge this idea? If I had to guess, it's mainly because some of Leona's trauma stems from his being born second and being outcast from the throne. Maybe seeing Kalim so oblivious and happy makes him forget the idea that Kalim could also go through anything similar to the rejection he faced during childhood.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
reply to @magimerlyn - This is a wonderful statement that I totally agree with, Kalim is mindful enough to continue working with Jamil even after discovering Jamil's feelings about him, opting to try and become less dependent on him while not throwing him to the side, considering that he has the power to get rid of Jamil. Yes, some of his emotional stability relies on Jamil being around, but that's exactly why he's trying to grow more as a person, and be more mindful of the choices he makes involving Jamil. Chances are, Jamil wouldn't magically outgrow his habits of taking care of Kalim even if Kalim did immediately grant his freedom and close off their relationship. Either way, Kalim would probably be granted some reprieve from his grievances if someone as helpful and dedicated as Jamil came along that he could trust trust. Now whether this would affect Kalim and Jamil's relationship?.. we'll leave that to the fanfic writers..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
reply to @flying-mochis - Yeah, Kalim has several moments where he openly shows his innovation in attempts to develop more personally by not relying on Jamil all the time. Book 5 - Chapter 10 is a great example of Jamil's development, because he's willing to continue aiding Kalim despite probably being able to prove himself as better than him. Of course, this is partially because of his ruined reputation, but you can't deny that he isn't being super spiteful despite the fact that his plan to overthrow Kalim didn't work.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
reply to @tinisprout - Exactly, like my poor boy!!! We'll listen!! 😭😭😭 In reality, I don't think Kalim would ever willingly vent if it wasn't in private like that moment, because of his fear of ruining his reputation as the happy go-lucky housewarden who's always oblivious and naive yet kind. It's a standard he needs to uphold, and maybe Kalim is afraid of getting help from others because he might be a burden to them, in the same way he limited Jamil from ever showing his full potential. This is more of a theory, but still.. Our sweet boy doesn't deserve this.. 😭😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
reply to @twsted-canvas - Yeah, I can't blame you... Twst's put 0 development into Grim's character in regards to caring for others, which is so lame- Give us student Grim who secretly cares for his first year friends and Yuu, but denies it!! In all aspects, if he didn't have a bad personality, he would be a very cute lil kitty. (still don't forgive you for changing the topic while kalim was venting you asshat)

SCOGUE-Tember (2024)
Day “3”: Ship Bingo
Tumblr media
They are EVERYTHING to me: I think I mentioned in last year’s Scogue-tember prompt list that Scott/Cyclops x Rogue/Anna Marie was the first couple I ever genuinely shipped at a young age (before that, it was mainly _insert random fav chara_ x oc in my head I made up just for them). And X-Men:Evolution was the first Marvel show I watched that made me genuinely interested in exploring the original comics to find more of Cyclops x Rogue (which to my surprise, never was a thing) and watch the movies. My love of comics and lore (especially the concept of the multiverse) is largely in part thanks to how X-Men:Evolution was such a great show and how strong the chemistry was between Scott x Rogue.
They drive me crazy insane/positive: The fact that my final art portfolio project was a mock-proposal of an X-Men:Evolution sequel + spin-off that consisted of them and their kids speaks for itself.
The aesthetic is impeccable: C’mon. Relatively Popular Preppy Guy x Loner Goth Girl? It’s so cliché, but it’s SO good!!! What makes it even better is that their personalities work so, SO well together. While this could have gone the route of the BST/Slap-Slap-Kiss/Uptight loves Wild that usually accompanies tropes similar to this, what I love is that this DOESNT. Their personalities only clashed in the beginning because of the initial misunderstanding and frustration of them being on opposite sides, and even then they were drawn to each other. And even though Scott was distracted by his crush on Jean after the events of ‘The Cauldron - Pt. 1 & 2’, his moments of interacting and bonding with Rogue before and since then still spoke VOLUMES.
Relationship Goals: I think three of SCOGUE’s best characteristics are communication, understanding/empathy, and connection. Are they perfect? OBVIOUSLY not, but the episodes demonstrating these traits are still pretty significant. One of my favorite moments is during ‘On Angel’s Wings,’ when Scott is confiding to Rogue about his belief in angels or at least in the possibility of them existing. Rogue had laughed, had realized Scott meant what he said, recognized how insensitive she had unintentionally been, immediately and sincerely apologized, then listened to him with more compassion, while Scott immediately understood that she had not intended to make him feel awkward/embarrassed, silently forgave her, and continued to confide in her because he felt comfortable with her. This might have been a small thing compared to other moments they had, but it still stood out to me how close they felt to each other on that level.
I blorboed so hard that now they’re basically my OCs: IN MY DEFENSE, the multiverse is a thing, and since the actual series + the films and even the ‘92 animated series already took several liberties with the casts’ age range, relationships, dynamics, backgrounds, etc, I didn’t see the harm in altering/adding some things for my personal headcanon aus for SCOGUE (ex. Rogue’s biological parents, Scott’s relationship with the ladies vs 616!s, Rogue’s surprise connection with other Marvel characters and the eventual status of her relationship with her foster/adopted parents, Scott’s view on a personal life vs duty to the X-men, etc)
I need a 30k hurt/comfort fic on my desk by Monday: more specifically, I need to actually write or draw out the pages of 1) Scott’s and/or Rogue’s relationships with Jean and Remy starting to go in a direction neither of them are sure about and them confining in each other as friends; 2) Rogue meeting a dangerous mind-controlled mutant who can actually RESIST the negative effects of her powers and unwittingly holds the key to her actively learning about her past and the fate of her biological parents before she was ‘taken in’ by Mystique and Destiny while Scott accompanies her; 3) The trauma of Jean’s death and/or her eventual transformation into the Dark Phoenix + subsequent final/near-deaths of SCOGUE and everyone else involved; 4) SCOGUE dealing with the aftermath of the Dark Phoenix + their growing/rekindling/not-quite-smothered feelings for each other; 5) All the fun stuff involved with the struggles of finally getting together, staying together despite all odds, marriage, children!, and trying to balance marriage, family, and X-Men life…instead of, y’know, letting it remain in my head.
They’re going to be the death of me: I literally cannot find a way right now to work on any other personal projects alongside SCOGUE content until I find a good balance/am sufficiently satisfied with what I churn out (and/or until more people are able to be more inspired/have time to create more SCOGUE stuff too xD)
They kimss, they holde handsss,…: Yes. Yes they do. (Be it via gloves, the mutant suppression collar, or my most favorite being that over time, Rogue is able to successfully control her abilities gradually so that intimate contact between her and Scott —plus normal contact with others— can last more than 10 secs/min/hours/etc)

My Story with Amatonormativity
I personally know an individual who might just embody humanity’s brilliance itself. He is kind, insightful, enlightening, proactive, and passionate. He doesn’t hesitate to show the world what they love and their love and care for others. Literally when I first met him he was like “no one needs to bottle up their feelings and I’m here to listen” and he showed everyone smth about a scientific study on the effects of emotional suppression or smth. He had been humorous and extremely altruistic to me and it just happens that we share similar interests. I guess its only natural that I am beyond grateful for this person (as someone who's through years of bullying trauma and grew up in a family that I couldn't show negative emotions in) right?
But amatonormativity makes people think no. He's vastly different from me physically(diff gender I present fem he presents masc), even though we often dress similarly because we both love that timeless style. (we love to slay cook and eat and dont y'all deny that) There’s also one interesting person lets call him A who keeps insulting me for showing my gratitude and platonic affection to him as well as labeling the individual as a weirdo. I can't imagine what A’s reaction would be like if he knows that we matched for a day. He'd go crazy be like “omg are you guys dating? Couples matching?” eugh no. since when is matching for romantic couples? like SHUT THE FUCK UP. LITERALLY GO FCK YOURSELF. I tried to explain what being aromantic is like and what platonic love is and just how similar I am to the individual and he refuses to listen and keeps berating me for it. Like fuck you, as if I care.
There's no doubt that the other person is having fun as well. They enjoy my company, we constantly care for and help each other whenever we can. We show mutuality. He trusts me and I trust him, and we just love sharing each other about the characters we make, the franchises we love, the life lessons and experiences we gain that are invaluable. He knows me well and I know him well. We are literally kindred spirits just being silly and having fun together. There is literally NOTHING romantic between us. And bc of amatonormativity, we are subjected to judgment, weird looks, baseless assumptions and more even if we don't experience it now.
It saddens me that people fail to understand the nuances behind my genuine care, gratitude and platonic affection towards the individual. Or maybe there wasn't any nuance—its simply just companionship, simple, pure love between people who know each other. Amatonormativity complicates that. It labels simple prosocial behaviors like helping and compliments as “hidden romantic love” “crush” and “more than friends/acquaintances”. Like no. There's more to humanity than just romance. Amatonormativity is undermining the tapestry of experiences of being human. How dare it make people assume and reduce my gratitude and platonic connection to another person as just romance and subject us to judgments. Amatonormativity taints our intentions and interactions towards others and I'm SO done with it.
Thanks for reading my yapping.
tldr: platonically connected with an altruistic and loving individual who's of different gender and physical traits from me, get called “romantic” despite the obvious signs that we just have many similarities and i see them as a kindred spirit who i want to reciprocate the love they gave to everyone. how amatonormativity complicates and undermines the platonic human experience.
ps: to the individual if you see this and somehow figure out who i am: i hope you understand my intentions now. I feel like the luckiest person in the world by meeting you and I feel so connected to you as if we are soul twins. I hope you'd let me declare each other as formally best friends when the time is right.

Hiii! Read the ask of the freshmen girl dating someone older and now I'm trying to figure out if I'm in a similar situation 💀
I'm mostly a sun-mars girlie (dhanishta moon, krittika rising and uttara phalguni sun atmakaraka with mars amatyakaraka) and I've just finished the first year of uni. Had some not too concrete things with guys because I tend to distrust them due to past stuff (and ngl I was kind of a manhater before which I guess makes sense after what other people have said about mars girls lmao) BUT after a trip to another country I met this guy who's from there but because he's half from a country which speaks my native language we can comunicate with no problems and we really clicked
Nowwww, this guy's 25 💀. Which I'm not too sure if makes this a good idea at all? We've been talking since I left (nearly a month ago) and he's planning on coming to my country this October and we've agreed on just spending time together and getting to know each other with not too much pressure. He's been respectful with the fact I want to go slow and even if I don't know him that much bc it's been just a month I haven't found anything that would make me distrust him (but the age... Which we've also talked about and is also odd for him bc he used to have a limit of 3 years younger as a max). And truth is we're kind of different in lifestyle and character but somehow we get along really well so I'm not taking it too much into account (and add also the distance, which would make it possible to see each other just twice a year if anything were to happen)
Anywayyys, he's been really sweet but it's the age part, yknow? Plus I don't know his birth time yet but he's an anurada (or vishakha, depending on the hour) moon and mula sun guy and even though I'm crazy attracted to him the last time I dated a nodal...
Idk girl im just so confused 😭
Being 18-19 and dating a 25 year old 😔😔😔is not the greatest idea
I mean you can see where it goes or how it goes and if it feels wrong, you can cut him out. Please listen to protection mantras in the meanwhile though. Just in case. There's no harm in being protected in general so 😌
I don't want to make it seem like I'm fearmongering but you're being lowkey groomed.
Stay safe, see how it goes, don't place your bets on this. It does not sound ideal (u shouldn't wanna be in a long distance relationship with a 25yr old from another country at 19 babe 😭😭)
I have a guy friend, Purvashada Moon, who's been nothing but sweet af to me. However he dumped his gf of 5yrs and went for a freshman literally two weeks into freshmen appearing on our campus. He actually cheated on his gf 💀 and then it affected his reputation so they got back together and the minute we graduated, he went back to the 18yr old.
A 24 yr old man dating an 18yr old 💀💀💀 they went on a trip to some hill station and he posted pics of her in his hoodie and it made me 🤢🤢🤮🤢🤮 I just know that girl is going to be processing this trauma for yearrrss to come 💀😭
You don't know this man. You don't know his past. You don't know his history.
Exercise caution and thread carefully.
If you're looking for fun, just find a guy your age and be traumatized by him instead (jk) . Grown men will pull alllll kinds of stunts (they've had more years of practice) and you don't have the life experience to even discern that shit.
Like is it reallyyyy worth it 🧐 is this guy absolute godsent 🧐 probably not 🚫 because that's how men are

actually i'm going to make a whole post about this. Tesilid's relationship to his beauty is so. it's very similar to what it would be for a beautiful woman in a historical fantasy story.
It's a tool that he can use to get others to listen, especially if he just uses his well-practised gentleman smile on them. The way he got access to Cardinal Cartelyena's quarters just by smiling and saying pretty please. The way he makes people convert religions just by throwing a glance their way. He could make for a very good espoinage spy if he weren't so recognisable, because people see his face and clamour to please him. He could very much seduce anyone he wants. It brings to mind female characters (and historical figures) who have been sent to seduce important figures with their 'feminine wiles'.
But his beauty is also something that gives him a lot of trouble and trauma; it's something he's targetted and punished for even though he never asked for that face. Harpy Queen. That Snow Princess demon with the mirror shards. The crazy Magic Republic (i think) Queen who imprisoned him in another timeline. All that happened to him is blamed on his beauty, and not on the peverse natures and intents of those that capture him. The recent chapter 157 has this throwaway line that also reinforces this: the Mirror Princess demon notices the succubus about to break their self-restraint and try to claim him, so she restrains them (because she wants to court him herself).
What's also really terrible about this situation is that Tesilid no longer blinks at such unwanted attention. He doesn't defend himself, he just rolls with it and thinks about how to come out the other side least scathed. So he asks the Harpy Queen if she's monogamous (while having been her victim in a past life he cannot forget). He doesn't try to avoid the Snow Queen's kiss and is surprised when Ailette intervenes. He doesn't try to hide from the Magic Republic Queen's view. Part of it might just be him being his sweet potato self, but like idk given how traumatic it must've been, I would've at least expected some reaction and defence. But there's none, and I think it's really sad that it's just such a normal part of life for him, that he doesn't even fight anymore. It reminds me of the way women would grit their teeth and keep smiling when they get unwanted advances, especially before #MeToo.
idk it's the way Tesilid is powerful and powerless because of his beauty. These people and demons have power over him in a very stomach-churning way. These things all happen to him despite him being a strong fighter and Aura Master. These experiences don't take away from his strength of character and in fact a lot of the story progresses without truly acknowledging and diving into these experiences, because he is so much more than just that. But it's still awful and he should never have had to experience them in the first place and it still impacts him and like. idk. Tesilid 👍 fantastically complex character whose layers have layers and whose angles have angles.

I would like the sons and bowlers thoughts please
Under the cut bc it’s soooo long lmao
Things in sons and bowlers that make me crazy (in no particular order)
1)The idea that daniel pierce shields hawkeye from things that he thinks will hurt him psychologically and actively tries to distract him with kindness/good things i.e. making him elaborate breakfasts while his mom was dying in the hospital and downplaying the extent of her illness. I think this is so interesting bc we’ve often seen hawkeye deflect with jokes/go out of his way to help people inside and outside of OR and make sacrifices to do so/ downplay the extent of his own pain/trauma in order to avoid inconveniencing people and the idea that this is a behavior he learned as a child, way before the war is a major clue to the events in GFA
He doesn’t deal with his trauma, he minimizes it to the point of repression and convinces himself things are alright! He’s become his father! That blows my mind idk
2) hawkeye just has his dad and his dad just has him! We saw in where there’s a will that he leaves everything to his father but this really drives home how much hawkeye loves his dad. Like i think part of why this makes me crazy is that i have daddy/mommy issues but i feel like for hawkeye this is a big character beat that people overlook. He’s not like the others at the unit in that they all have families/career aspirations/grounded support systems to return to and for hawkeye all he’s got is his dad and he really finds his support system in the MASH…and yeah he’s a workaholic and a brilliant surgeon but he’s also the kind of person who thrives on human connection and cannot live without his connections to those around him. Like hawkeye is all heart AGH what happens when someone like that is removed from a place where they formed deep connections?
Also the fact that he’s like iv’e said ily but what if he doesnt know i mean it like man u really don’t expect people to listen to what u say
3) back on daniel, sorry but i love food/mealtime/cooking themes with hawkeye too and the fact that shared, homemade breakfasts were his father’s symbol of love and protection just makes the absence of good food at the MASH even more devastating. I also see hawkeye as someone who can disassociate from his body easily (the drinking, the sleeping around, the constant sniffing of food/not eating if it isn’t appetizing/ going long periods without sleep and insomnia, the manic episodes/psych problems) so the reconnection of family to food is important here too! Like i’m going to get to charles but the fact that he tells the story about feeling tested at dinner and his related food associations, i think it’s really telling that in contrast we get hawkeye and daniel talking about the good times they had eating dinner together
4) brief margaret tangent i like that this is a reversal of the early seasons trope of her sleeping with someone for some plot/ulterior motive and now when potter asks her if she’ll do that she’s like fuck off and then uses the guy for bowling tips and not sex lol i just think it’s a succient way to show her development over time and i also love when she gets to do sporty/more traditionally masculine things and not be dunked on for it
5) bj and charles scheming idk i love this in any episode i like that they bring out the evil asshole in each other i find it funny and charming they’re my faves for a reason i think dos and mike are both soooo talented
6) the contrast between charles’ home life and hawkeye’s and how thats shaped them. i ‘m really interested in the similarities between charles and hawk i think they have similar backgrounds and similar drive/talent/pressure to be surgeons and be the best at what they do/similarly desperate desire for connection with people/to art and music and theater etc. and they can be similarly overconfident/stubborn it just manifests so differently in their behaviors. I feel like this is one of the few times we see them acknowledge each other as people and put aside their differences in order to support each other idk u know i love a charles plotline im human
7) speaking of supporting people! Also crazy about bj’s progressive loss of the ability to provide hawkeye with emotional support and here he doesn’t even know hawkeye was struggling bc hawkeye’s like don’t tell anyone ! he doesn’t want to tell his best friend his problems bc bj doesn’t help him with things like that. And in fact telling bj might be something that sets bj off further like every day this man’s mental health is crumbling he’s hanging on by a thread and hawkeye knows this, more finale set up that’s so subtly done i love it
7.5) also the fact that if daniel’s surgery had gone badly this would be another hawkeye doesn’t get a real goodbye situation (.i.e his mom, trapper, henry, carlye, tommy, kyung hee, bj etc.) whyyyy do they do this
8) there’s bowling like come on are u serious i love bowling and they’re so cute bowling

So the funny thing is that I actually think Damon has a soft heart lol? That is NOT excusing him for the awful stuff he's done and claiming he's a great person/vampire (almost no one on that show is), but I feel like he and Elena are meant for each other in part because they are both SUCH heart-centered people who are so driven by their emotions. When we first meet Damon, he's been on a quest for god knows how long to get Katherine back, and no amount of reasoning from the much more logical, calm (and, in my unpopular opinion, often somewhat detached and condescending Stefan) about how horrible Katherine was or how dangerous she can be etc is going to persuade Damon not to follow his heart, however screwed up that may be. His worst mistakes are not a result of plans he carefully constructs (that's Klaus!) but of being ridiculously impulsive, carried away by emotions---again, NOT excusing it, just making sense of it! Elena, too, is all about her emotions and instincts, which she determinedly follows even if some (sometimes justifiably!) accuse her of being unfair, selfish, or just incorrect etc. If her heart tells her that, say, her brother is much better off living elsewhere or that there's real goodness in someone even if no one else seems to see it, she's going to proceed accordingly regardless of what others think or say. She'll stay true to herself and her heart even if many deem it unwise, unsafe, self-centered etc. It's what I love and admire most about Elena and also what can sometimes drive me crazy lol. And so even though people say Elena and Stefan are so similar, deep down I think she's more like Damon---passionate, emotional, impulsive, stubborn, and needing a combination of adventure and security that the other can provide. I know people will accuse me of being a Damon apologist, but I'm just saying that I totally get why he and Elena were endgame :)
No- but anon! This!
Damon and Elena bring out the best parts of each other- the bits they tried to hideaway for various reasons (trauma and familial obligation mostly). And just like cruelty can be caused by logic it can be caused by emotion- which is where most of Damon’s transgressions come from. Love however twisted or psychotic. Cause at the end of the day he’s still taht lost kid whose traumas has him grasping for love of any kind- and the first love that fell at his door was Katherine and the derailed and set the tone of his life as a vampire as much as the betrayal he felt from Stefan- the only member of his family who hadn’t hurt him. So him being soft hearted doesn’t absolve his crimes, but it does explain his character arc!
As for Elena! Yes! Yes! Yes! People are too quick to call her selfish and entitled and forget she is a seventeen year old girl caught in a narrative of powerful supernatural creatures that are all attempting to use her or kill her. So of course she makes mistakes- she’s never had to go up against the vampire family all supernatural creatures have been scared of for almost a thousand tears before- and she just turned eighteen. But more importantly she finally starts listening to her heart and impulses without allowing (the keyword here) herself to be shamed by others when she chooses Damon in season four.
All to say they balance each other, but mirror each other just the same.

I want to state I don't hate Kristoph or anything, I think I just get irritated sometimes at the attention the male characters in ace attorney get. I love Kristoph as a character and I've drawn and written about him a lot because he's cool! I just wish more people could give the leniency to female characters that they gave male ones. and Dahlia n Kristoph are good examples of similar characters for me.
why people should try to give Dahlia Hawthorne a chance (imagine this has been presented like a PowerPoint)
- she's so fucking funny first of all. fail girl of all time.
- literally got roasted so hard she went to hell
- so so much potential in her character
- Capcom mishandled her because they hate women but we don't have to hate women as well
- she killed a pedo, and someone who likes Britain (girl win!)
- she technically stopped Godot from his coffee addiction with an.. intervention. and it worked for a few years. to be polite.
- a woman
- a lesbian
- transgender
- her backstory is actually there even if it's a mess. unlike other poison loving gay ass characters.. (THIS IS A JOKE PEOPLE PLS DONT HATE ME I'M BEING SILLY N JESTFUL!)
- since her backstory and character is a mess you can just interpret her however u want and ur right!
- Capcom genuinely wrote her character while hating her and forgot that she was a child when Terry Fawkes "dated her" and that she was even YOUNGER when she apparently manipulated her father into dropping off Iris and abandoning her at a temple?? like you were so right for pointing this one out.
- It really feels like the narrative hates her more than it likes being a good story and smooth ride. It just wants to demonise her over and over again than write an impactful journey of a character becoming filled with hatred and jealousy.
- my femcel queen
- objectively the funniest character and also the most tragic (to me so actually not at all objective but but but)
- really good showing of how even though she was so distant from the Fey family and her bio mother, she still suffered due to their family's generational trauma and baggage.
- cool design!!!!!!!!!!
- incredibly underrated for the final villain of the ace attorney trilogy. Like other villains in ace attorney are cool and all but pls pls pls I know she's not a twink in a homoerotic relationship but she's so cool..
I think Dahlia Hawthorne could be really interesting if people gave her a chance and I really wish they would because as a person or someone who is seen as a girl a lot and demonised a bit due to my uh.. issues.. I find myself relating to parts of her character. Also evil women go fucking crazy, love em. This also kind of goes for Iris as well, she doesn't... really ever get talked about outside of her relationship with Phoenix n that's in part fault of the fandom AND Capcom (my sworn enemies.)
Anyway thanks for listening - or well reading! :3
anon while we have vastly different interpretations of her character you are so incredibly correct in the general message of it all. like..you are correct with every part of this obviously it's just the matter of me having a different approach, but people seeing her as someone only tied to phoenix is so real and true. what capcom did was make dahlia a manic pixie nightmare girl (a female character created solely for the development of the male lead but in an evil way this time) and tbh we need to reject those behaviors and come up with cool shit for her
actually that manic pixie nightmare girl thing was so smart of me to say. i love myself i'm the smartest girlboy alive. you are also a genius anon honestly go off with this?? if i were you i would already be creating art and unhinged essay posts about this whole thing

Kenny Rant
This got really long. I’m sorry.
I wanna talk about Kenny because he’s my favourite. And he’s a silly little guy. I may be projecting a teensy bit but Im just going to scream into the void and you can listen if you want.
Kenny is Cartman’s best friend. Kenny is Butters’ best friend. These can coexist.
Kenny is not saving Butters from Cartman. 2 Reasons:
1. Butters is not an uwu boi who needs protecting. He’s an asshole who’s a little too trusting sometimes.
2. Kenny is not some flirty strong dude-bro. He’s an asshole and a quiet kid who’s just happy to be included.
That’s not to say that I don’t ship Bunny. I do (sue me). but more like a teacher who seats two kids next to each other because they’d be cute together, than as an actual canon ship.
Another thing real quick is Kenjorine. I do wish people would give Marjorine more of Butters’ personality, but someone’s take was that in the episode “Marjorine” Butters never wanted to be Marjorine, therefore she’s just used as a love interest for Kenny, is objectively wrong. Yes Marjorine was Cartman’s idea. Yes Butters was hesitant. But no one can deny how happy Butters looked as Marjorine and the fun she had. Is Marjorine hyperfeminized? Yes absolutely, and it is annoying. But headcanons are okay! Transfem Butters who goes by Marjorine, Genderfluid Butters who can go by Marjorine, etc, yes go for it! But claiming Marjorine is NOT Butters and JUST a love interest for Kenny? :/ Its all fun and games here. Let people have fun and games.
Anyway, back to Kenny because no one understands him like I do.😔
(again, yelling into the void these are my opinions. you can characterize him however you want he’s not real)
KENNY IS NOT A FLIRTY WHORE. He is kind of a pervert who probably had unrestricted internet access and found porn waaaaayyyy to early. But that does not mean he’s a total slut who will sleep around with anyone and everyone. On a similar note, he’s also not mr. popular either. He’s a quiet kid. He doesn’t talk a lot and often fades into the background. He enjoys hanging out with Stan, Kyle, and Cartman. I can only think of one time he willing chose not to hangout with Cartman. He enjoys it! He loves going along with they’re crazy shenanigans! He loves to be included. Because if he’s not included, he’s forgotten about. He dies all the time and no one remembers. He misses out on so much. I’m sure he feels really left out sometimes. (If you like the someone remembers headcanon), does anyone ever catch him up on what happened after he dies?
Imma leave that question there and move on. Kenny is obviously a wonderful brother who cares deeply about his family. However I really wish the show touched more on his relationship with Kevin. Do they bond over shared trauma? Or grow apart because of how similar Kevin is to their father? I like to think that they’re close. But they likely aren’t.
Slight switch. Another characterization I see a lot is that Kenny is a crackhead or similar. I really don’t think Kenny would do a lot of drugs. He lived in a household that had a meth lab in the back yard and his parents were almost always drunk or high. I don’t think he would want that for himself. I know there’s that one episode where he gets high on cat piss and daffodils or something. That’s there. It exists. I know. I would like to think he would have some character development between 8 years old and the typical 16-21 years he’s usually aged up to. I don’t know though, it was never mentioned again. You’re entitled to your own opinion but I just don’t think he’d stick with it.
I think imma stop here. Theres more I could say and I could probably make a whole other post on Mysterion alone but I’ll only do that if it’s asked for.

Here's a fun fact:
In TDDRI, Izzy was originally NOT supposed to be alive as long as she is. She was supposed to die in the Chapter 2 execution, like it was framed she would. The backstory was the same, her reasons for killing Cody was the same, but she didn't have that much relevance to the story.
Which is crazy, because for those who read the fic, she's VERY relevant, and will be going forward.
But yeah, originally she was just a side character and a Chapter 2 Culprit who died like any Culprit did.
So what changed? The reception I got from the fic. People loved her character in the fic so much, and were heavily intrigued in what she'd do in the future.
So I decided to keep her around longer and made her part much bigger.
It is so rare that I EVER listen to my fans on dictating my writing choices. I'm one of those people who believe that writers should do their own thing and make the story they want. This is the exception.
Why? Because what I originally had was far less interesting, and I got pointed out the loads of potential Izzy had with the narrative I gave her.
For example, originally, it was the Mastermind that made Chapter 4's motive, not Izzy. Which, if you know, would've been very out of character for the Mastermind, who wants to rehabilitate everyone and not actively torture and kill them. Whereas Izzy wanted to kill and torture them.
Keeping Izzy around actively helped polish some of the plot holes in my original script.
Izzy is one of the most unique characters I've written in anything for sure. Why? Because with the others there's SOME logic to their actions and behaviors. But with Izzy, there seems to be next to none besides trauma and wanting to spite the killing games that caused said trauma. She constantly lies to everyone and herself, she constantly gains different perspectives from whats happened to her, and there is little to no rationality behind her thinking whatsoever.
As written to quote Noah: "If you can't make sense of it, she can. Simple as that."
I'm not psychotic. I'm autistic. Those two things are NOT similar at all btw. I had to do research, and even then I think I got stuff wrong. But I do kind of relate to that line from my own habits. Sometimes there isn't any logic behind what people do. Some people don't have a good emotional control for example, and logic is out the window. For psychos, the definition is NOT 'crazy' it's actually 'disconnected from reality'. You see things that aren't there. You start behaving on your own rules and not the rules of the real world. You get triggered in some form by things that seem irrational to others.
Based on that, you can actually see multiple TDDRI characters being/becoming psychotic because of the game. (Like Lindsay, the Mastermind, or hell, even Duncan) Izzy is just the most experienced with it, therefore she is triggered the most. I didn't want to portray mental illness as the reason why Izzy is 'evil'. I don't call her evil, personally. That's really up to how you view her. That's why it's easy to see multiple characters suffering from stuff like this, to show that different people have different reactions, and it's not 'psychosis makes you a bad person'. That's not true.
The other characters calling her crazy is NOT necessarily me the writer telling the audience to see psychos as crazy. It's these particular characters not knowing how psychosis works and interpreting it inaccurately. Like real people with no experience do.
Basically, Izzy is chaotic. She goes by her own rules. She doesn't care what the good or evil choice is. She just does or the sake of her own emotions and mind playing her. It's all from real life experience that she's had, and of course, people not understanding what psychosis is. Logic is not the way to understanding her.
I usually write characters based on logic, but thanks to Izzy forcing a new approach, I feel like these characters have become more authentic as a result. When it comes to fiction, we often interpret character's actions as something 'in character' for them, something that can be explained, something that can be easily understandable. It's bad writing if it's not.
That's actually not the real world, and I've certainly had perspective shifts from that in life. There's so many other factors from people's actions. Stuff that can't be explained at all. We like to think we're not biased, but sometimes we are and we can't find logic as to why we're biased, for example.
I think that's the appeal of Izzy in this fic. She's one of the toughest characters to crack the code of, and that's why she's brought so much life to this fic and helped me make it feel a lot more real on the psychological destruction these games can do to people.
So, I'm happy y'all wanted her to stay around. Idk if the story would've worked nearly as well otherwise.

Huh! Maybe it's just an American version thing? Though, if so, booo! Not nice Nintendo!
Also, oh my gosh, THANK YOU!! YOU'RE A GODSEND!! I've been losing my ever-loving mind!
Like, the fruit still has some of the most creatively bankrupt names I've ever seen, but at least I have a frame of reference!
And thank you so much for the link!!
Also, yes. Psychonauts is very interesting & a little bit crazy. Though, it also has some really dark stuff, but it mostly only turns up if you explore & go out of your way to find everything & 100% the games (which, to me, is totally worth it). But what I love is that the subtext sort of gives you insight into how the trauma of the characters affected them as individuals. Though, you also get a bit of a similar environmental storytelling experience from games like Persona 4 (with Shadows) & 5 (with Palaces). Both feature this whole “getting a look at one's inner world” sort of thing & I eat that stuff up. Though, you're not always gonna get things told to you explicitly. It's more so something you have to look around the environment. Or, you can watch analyses on YouTube. Always fun to listen to someone else's interpretation of things. Like, it even goes so far as there being a power in the game that can let you literally see how other characters view Razputin & I just find it super cool because almost every single characters, plus numerous animals, each see him in a way that gives you a bit of a hint as to their relationship with him & I love that!
Also, don't listen to Sasha Nein. Those lamps are beautiful & it's just his childhood trauma getting the better of him.
But, I'm not going to go too deep into it because I fear spoilers.
Hmm… Sounds promising. Whatever helps with the worldbuilding.
To be fair, the Door of Time would likely only open the once in order to let Link out, then would shut & be unopenable without the other stones & the song. (I mean, why wouldn't it have an automatic lock mechanism without the keys to opening it present? Similarly, it has to open from the inside, otherwise that's just shit building code.) As such, so long as Ganondorf wasn't literally there at the exact moment that Link was sent back & left through the door, I don't really see too much issue. And, my guess is that the time was specifically chosen because Ganondorf wasn't looking then.
I will say that I do sort of view the Master Sword as being fairly important to how Link traveled in OoT, otherwise I don't think it'd be quite such a big deal of him utilizing the sword as a means of travel. This is part of why I hc the Master Sword's handle & the Ocarina of Time as both literally being made of the Timeshift Crystal from SS. Because then it gives a bit of “oh, I see!” To the whole thing. Otherwise, it wouldn't be so important for Link to pull the sword from the pedestal in order to go forward & for him to return it in order to go back. For all we know, it acts as a sort of anchor or even a lightning rod to bring his consciousness back to him.
So, yeah, I think you've figured out a cohesive means of explaining what went down in OoT that leaves as few wrinkles as I can see! 👍
Now, I can also sort of see the Triforce being somewhat unaffected by time too, but that's mostly because of its role as a representation of the literal creators of Hyrule's reality. So, to me, this means that it likely exists outside of time, at least to a degree.
Thank you! I really enjoy finding plausible explanations to things & I just really can't help but wonder who it was that built the qānat if that is, indeed, what allows that spring to flow?
Same! It would've been so neat to have a Farore centered game & I hope that, if they ever do remake the 2 Oracle games, that they take the chance to also make the third! Though, I think they should go with something like “Oracle of Mysteries” or “Oracle of Runes.” That way, there won't be any confusing it with Oracle of Seasons the way it would be with the commonly hc'd “Oracle of Secrets.”
Really? Hmm… I was thinking that it'd be the building itself, which would also include the restaurant inside of it, but I guess that the brasserie should have its own name, huh?
Let me give it a think… Maybe something with shells or pearls to represent being sort of the “jewel of Lanayru?” Maybe even have the food served in large, cleaned out clamshells? NO!! The shells of Shell Blades! With silver & nautilus shell wine glasses! Oh! I just found a picture of some that are near perfect!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But I think that I'd need to give the stems some pretty designs to spruce them up a bit. Though, nothing too extravagant. Just something pretty, but stylish. Like… Maybe make it look like the shell is being balanced on a spray of water, like from a fountain? Simple, but elegant. Though, they also NEED to have shell wine baskets on a sort of polished coral branch base.
Tumblr media
Also, a single chandalier made from sea glass, pearl, nacre, & shell.
Anyway, what about la Perle de la Lune Brasserie du Clos or la Perle de Conque Brasserie du Clos? I was looking for a good reason to use moon, but I couldn't find the right place to put clair de lune. But I think this is fine.
Either way, I really like it! Plus, it can also be a reference to the Moon Pearl of LttP.
Thank you! Much appreciated! Always grateful for the gentle linguistic guidance!
Also, I had zero idea, but I now completely refuse to change it from Marée-Chant, because I love that not only did I somehow manage to make a pun, but also one that's super fitting! So, yeah. It is now an intentional pun! :D
True, at the same time, you could possibly try to find ways of spinning the Zelda sightings in a less jocose way. Oooo! I do know of a comic that shows a great way to depict the sort of havoc that the Yiga taking on Zelda's guise probably had on Link! Especially involving their hideout on the Great Plateau!
She's Gone
Hmm… For the Hateno Village quests, maybe have Reede mentioning the increase in monster activity alongside the Gloom & the return of the Blood Moons & have him mention how he was keeping the election going in an attempt to try & help keep the citizen’s minds off of things. Possibly insert a bit of an undercurrent of unease that's most visible when no kids are nearby. But even the kids know that SOMETHING'S up, just not quite what, yet. Ya know? Possibly even have it so that Reede is sort of exaggerating his end of the Reede/Cece conflict for that reason. (Which, btw, I'd still keep the whole Cece Hat thing, but have it so Link absolutely roasts her regarding the hair & make-up choice. Like, shame her. Because, good grief Cece!)
Also, you may wanna consider having Reede set up a curfew, that way, you can maybe make the nighttime attack of the Stals on the Sun Pumpkins into a more serious issue. Like, it isn't just the pumpkin patches they're attacking, but the town itself. Possibly have some of the new militia set up at what's left of Fort Hateno to do what they can to curb the bulk of it? (Btw, why is there no Stalynel??? And, can you imagine actual elemental Lynels? And a Staltantula boss in the Depths? That'd not only be so flipping cool, but also complete nightmare fuel!!!)
But, regardless, if it was too peaceful for your tastes, try shifting the tone so that it's more of a strained, maybe even slightly delusional peace? Think about it this way, these people had been tormented by the Calamity for 100 years & only recently did that nightmare end.
It wouldn't be surprising if a lot of the civies tried to keep up a veneer of peace in a vain attempt to try & maintain hold on the fraying edges of that tranquility. (I think I've brought this up as a possibility already, just with Zelda...)
Now a dungeon in Necluda is an idea I can get behind! Love that idea!
Oh, heavens! Yes! Absolutely, same! Like, don't get me wrong. I don't mind strong women or tomboyish girls or maybe 1 or 2 strong women that aren't interested in relationships. But not the absolutely flipping wave of them that we've had lately! And, you know what? Yeah, I'm very similar. It's part of why I made my oc the way I did.
Actually, I'd like to bring up something that someone else mentioned a bit ago! Did you notice the hairstyles & designs of the Gerudo in TotK's past? If you notice, most of them weren't really very feminine. And, this suggests that they probably weren't dressing to “attract the male gaze.” But, (& this is me switching to canonical TotK game talk) if that's the case & the Gerudo had also been in a war with the other denizens of Hyrule before Rauru came like I theorize, then this makes you wonder how they were getting males.
Just something to think about. Like, I know what my theory is, but I'm not so sure how dark you wanna go with their portrayal. Because, trust me, I can go SUPER dark. 😈
I tend to think similar, personally. But, for me, I tend to look at examples where a singular old man defeats an entire professional women's soccer team IRL & think quietly to myself that, despite being much taller than most male Hylians, I actually think that a single well-trained Gerudo vai would only be around as strong as a single well-trained Hylian male. And, she'd likely need to utilize her greater height against him to win. But, once more, that's just me.
As for the Rito, I tend to think that the scales from Valoo was how the Zora were initially transformed & that this new design for them is just how they evolved afterwards. Not in that this is how they evolved after WW, as I know you're not going that route, but more so that maybe something similar happened that required some of the Zora to transform into Rito in your timeline. And then, after that initial transformation, generations pass with the Rito slowly gaining more & more bird-like features alongside the remaining Zora also further evolving.
And, I actually think it's a great opportunity to have the Ancient Sage of Wind, alongside the Ancient Rito being much closer in design to WW Rito, so as to showcase that there was a change. Same with the Ancient Sage of Water & the Ancient Zora being closer to either the OoT or TP designs. Or maybe even have Zelda discover that there were once 2 tribes of Zora with the Zora of the modern day being the descendants of both?
Remember that your gonna be sending the girl at least 10,000 years into the past. Also, something else to play with? The possibility of the Ancient Goron still learning Ancient Hylian, because they had only recently resurfaced from living in Gorondia. So, I’d like to think that they’d be learning the language.
Also, I totally see Zelda frantically creating a sort of underground study with a vault of specimens, including seeds, maybe even have a few smaller critters in containment cells? Ooo!!!
Oh, wait… I forget… You're not doing the Secret Stone thing, are you? If you were, I'd have suggested making it so the Stones just sort of enhance their powers & gives them a specific ability like the ones in the game, but that it doesn't prevent the owners from learning other abilities of a similar nature. So, I guess that what I'm saying is that Zelda could've learned how to use Stasis after lmastering Recall, ya know? Though, if you're having it so that the Sheikah Slate is still a thing, maybe you could make it so that she figures out a way to use the Stasis Rune to make those containment cells. That way, she can sort of… Oh, gosh! I think that I'm essentially creating an entire dungeon! One based on Noah’s Ark! But one that travels the sea of time! XD
What if that's the dungeon in Necluda?! What if it's this massive facility in the Necluda Depths that's essentially a massive museum, library, zoo, & botany vault! That's totally the sort of thing that Zelda would flippin' do!
Anyway, I get what you're getting at with not wanting to make the Gerudo outcasts, but eeeh… I dunno. I guess that I feel like they're outcasts anyway & that it's kinda because of their own choices. Like, just their culture as an all-female race that keeps their daughters seperated from their fathers is going to make them as such.
Though, for me, part of the reason for my depiction of them as being cursed is somewhat so I can have that curse broken eventually. Like, to me, it's really little more than an opportunity that I'm trying to use in order to highlight the fact that they once had even worse practices & that it resulted in karma coming to bite them. However, because of that & their humbling, there's supposed to be a slow progression of their depictions over the timelines being something like a case study in how all cultures, all societies, have black spots & things to be ashamed of. But that it doesn't have to be the end &, in fact, the Gerudo are much much improved. So, there's hope.
You know a sort of race wide redemption arc!
As such, my point in it is, I guess, using it as motivation for the Gerudo to improve as a people.
Also, & I know it was more of a joke on your part, but at the same time, if you do go with the idea that the Sand Goddess made Gerudo voe so that the vai only get something nice to look at every hundred years, then you should probably consider how that would affect the voe, as well as the overall perceptions of the vai towards males in-general because of it. Specifically, imagine it from the perspective of the voe. What if your creator made you to have no real purpose beyond looking nice? Imagine that your entire existence revolved around that alone.
Depressing.
And if this were how it was, then the default preconceptions of the vai would automatically be, "men only exist for the enjoyment/use of women." Like, not even for the sake of reproduction because, again, like you said, they didn't need men to reproduce. So, the voe wouldn't even really have that until after the Sand Goddess was killed. And then, well…
The concenssus would likely have become deeply rooted in their ideologies (case in point, that one OoT Gerudo who mentioned that she thought Ganondorf was the only man worth anything). Then, it might've eventually resulted in a culture of misandristic exploitation not unlike one particular depiction of the Amazons of Greek myth. Possibly even culminating in a few generations where the 1 voe sort of becomes what amounts to a slave king & the designated stud for that specific generation. Likely even acting as a kind of feminist reversal of the orientalist harem trope. (And yes, I am fully aware of how yeesh that sounds. Because it IS.)
Also, there's the question of if the Gerudo were made to never need men & the centennial voe was little more than eye candy, then why the legend saying that he was destined to be king? Why the worship in OoT? Literally, how did he get so bad in OoT, HW, & TotK???
Does the legend refer to a true king or more so a pretty figurehead in a pretty crown? Like, maybe he was instead meant to act as the Gerudo queen's handsome arm-candy? A trophy husband or a sort of proof of her legitimacy as queen? Maybe even it being said that a vehvi produced from 2 Gerudo was thought to be exceptional or usher in some sort of Golden Age for the Gerudo.
I'm not saying don't. Just... maybe be aware of the implications these sorts of choices have & prepare yourself accordingly?
And, this one is more out of personal curiosity than anything: What does this choice say about the Sand Goddess? What did the choice to create the Gerudo as nothing but women with only one male every century, where the vai, rather than mating with men, instead went to the Sand Goddess in order to reproduce: What does it say about her & her intentions?
Why did she decide this? Did she have bad experiences with males that led her to do this, possibly believing that she was sparing her creations from grief? Is she an example of a tragic biggot? In this case, a misandrist who legitimately hates males of any kind, believing that they were the source of all the ills in the world, & wanted to create a species where they were commodities & treated as lesser? (An example of Tragic Bigotry. A very interesting way to make the typical bigotry thing more complicated than just “bigots are just jerks, who cares why?”) Or did she do this so that the Gerudo would be forever reliant upon her?
While it may not seem important, you'd actually be very surprised how it can spawn new ideas to explore the underlying reasoning behind these sorts of decisions.
Heck, if you go the route of the second choice, that could easily end up being an underlying reason to why Ganondorf can almost never seem to escape from his role, because in this case (though she likely wouldn't have meant it as such), it could be due to the Sand Goddess' perception of men becoming the basis for Gerudo voes' nature. In such a situation, Gerudo voe would've been created to be subjugated. Otherwise, they risk becoming too ambitious & devolving into demons. Because it would literally be the subconscious belief of the Sand Goddess, which could’ve bled into her creations without her realizing it.
Now, again, I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but I think it's important to at least acknowledge the thought process.
And, one final thing. I don't know if you brought this up before, but I think it's something that you’ll likely need to keep in mind when characterizing your version of Ganondorf.
Namely, how much of the Calamity did he have control over?
And, I need to really bring this into perspective. This… it was absolutely horrific.
Judging by the population density map, the Calamity resulted in the deaths of upwards of thousands of people.
And that’s no small number. Castle Town was sundered. And 7 entire settlements were destroyed, leaving Central Hyrule completely unpopulated. And Deya was the largest of them, but according to what I’m seeing, literally no one survived Deya.
If that’s the case, then that doesn’t just mean soldiers. It means E.V.E.R.Y.O.N.E…
Like, just take a moment to meditate on exactly how utterly horrible that is.
That means men, women, the elderly, the infirm, children, infants, pregnant mothers. Yes, I know, it's horrible. But, it's also canon.
Like, & I'm really sorry for this, but I really do think that it very much encapsulates my thoughts on what happened in the Calamity. Guilty of Wrath
Warning, it's actually pretty graphic.
Like, for me, I just think that it's really important to really take in the full scope of what happened & to properly characterize the Ganondorf that caused all of it, to ask just how aware he was of it all.
Because, I'm seriously considering making this part of my official canon for Meeting One's Match. (Not the part where Link is dead, but most everything else? Yeah, though I'm thinking of letting Rauru take the place of Link in this. Let him be the petty one to deal the final blow to Ganondorf’s psyche. However, now that I'm thinking about it. I may make him backed up by Sonia & the other Sages, then just before they leave, the Sage of Lightning points behind Ganondorf & he snaps around… Only to be met with a veritable sea of spirits… And he's suddenly forced to acknowledge the sheer amount of death that he caused… Ooohoohoohoo! This reminds me of a REALLY amazing one-shot idea I had! But we can talk about that later!)
Like, in my interpretation of events, I'm sort of making it so that he doesn't really know. As in, he was sealed underground &, I guess, sort of allowed his Miasma to run wild with a mindset of “just break everything. Break all of their toys,” but he never really thought about the full concequences of that choice. Never thought of the implications of his own words in certain scenes or what their logical conclusion would be.
So, in my story, one of the final hurdles that he's going to need to face will, in a way, be himself.
As, I'm sort of going with the idea of how hatred is an insatiable beast that keeps demanding more & the more you feed it the bigger it gets until you suddenly realize that it's taken on a life of its own & you no longer have any control over it. And I guess that I feel like it's important to nail down whether your Ganondorf really knew what he was causing. Like, for me, if he knew & was aware of the full scope of his crimes & was… I dunno… unaffected by it, then I just don't think that having him care about the Gerudo will be realistic. Like, it takes a very specific level of psycho to knowingly commit that sort of just… Horror.
Like, the Calamity was outright a flipping genocide, man. The Guardians weren't stopping. They would've eradicated Hateno too, which would've, at the time, left only Shadow Hamlet, Lurelin, & Tabantha Village. And we don't even know if they would've stopped with Hateno. We don't know if they would've stopped until the only one left alive was Ganondorf himself.
So, I feel like it's kinda important to establish whether your Ganondorf was genocidal in a very literal way. If he was, then I just don't see much hope for him coming across as any degree of sympathetic.
@aikoiya The post was getting long again so here's a new one!
I knew you were going to answer that saying "this is unfair" isn't real life logic haha (and I agree that life hasn't been fair to Sky and Sun anyway). It's just that such an ending would probably leave me feeling unsatisfied and even a bit robbed, and I think it would require a lot of other changes to be made to the story in order for it to work properly. But anyway you're right, as things are now this would just be happening behind the scenes so what I'm saying doesn't really make sense. But just thinking about it changes my perception of SS in a way I don't really enjoy, so it's not a theory I favor.
Yes in that setting I'm pretty sure that the other Sun would not make herself known to Link and Zelda and would let them have their happy ending. But I think Zelda would likely suspect her existence and know that something is wrong. I guess even Link could notice that the Temple's doors are suddenly open and would ask Impa a few questions.
I had no idea Tingle called Farore the Goddess of Wind in WW, so I went on a little quest to see if I could find the same quote in the French version of the game. Apparently it's in Tingle's description of Outset Island and I never had the chance to play with the Tingle Tuner mode. I can't find the same quote in French anywhere and I don't even know if this was included in the HD remake (I guess I'll have to wait for a Switch version to find out… if they ever release one). This has me wondering if this quote isn't something exclusive to the English version, but I can't be sure and I'd like to know what the original Japanese text says. The French wikis mention that Farore is the Goddess of Wind in WW but don't provide any quote, it just looks like the pages were translated from English but that they couldn't find the same quote in French. It's really frustrating!!
Anyway that's a bit weird because WW already establishes Zephos as the God of Wind, and he seems to be a minor deity compared to Farore. The way I see it, wind is just the element that Farore tends to be associated with, and since a lot of myths might have been lost with Hyrule in WW this could just be a mistake on Tingle's part. I mean this is the game that gave us the Golden Triumph Forks haha.
I'm not limiting Nayru/the Golden Goddesses to a singular domain, quite the opposite ^^ To me Nayru being the Goddess of Wisdom includes different concepts such as order, law, science, magic, etc., and even time (since she's introduced as the creator of the world's fondamental laws), while calling her the Goddess of Time doesn't include all of that. That's why I wrote that I found it a bit restrictive. But sure she could have both titles, the same way Farore could be known most commonly as the Goddess of Courage and also called the Goddess of Wind in some situations.
Oh I didn't think of the blocks from OoT! I would say though that they don't really use any time powers, they're just random blocks that appear or disappear for some reason when Link plays the Song of Time (it's just as absurd as playing the Song of Storms to open holes in the ground haha). But yes they were blue and associated with time, and of course Nayru is too. The difference with Hylia in my theory is that Nayru created the rules of time (if that makes sense) among other fundamental laws, while Hylia's power specifically allows her to manipulate time and foresee the future. In a way I see Hylia as Nayru's spiritual daughter who inherited some of her powers over time (and that's why the color purple she's represented with is very close to blue).
The Master Sword has also been depicted as either blue or purple though, so that asks the question of the true color of all of these things! Nayru is definitely linked to time so it makes sense that the timeshift stones are in Lanayru (and Hylia also doesn't have a province named after her).
"From the edge of time" could definitely just be a poetic way to say that Hylia kind of recorded a message for Link before dying haha. But I find it interesting that she would phrase it like that, I like to see it as a clue.
Well if Zelda simply sent Link to a point further back in time, wouldn't there be two Links existing at the same time in the Child Timeline? But sure Zelda creating a brand new timeline also raises a few questions that kind of... make my head hurt. I'm not sure what happens exactly, I've always wondered! All we know is that Link finds himself in the Master Sword's chamber with the Door of Time already open, which hints at things happening in a different way this time (because he definitely doesn't have the three spiritual stones and the Ocarina of Time yet since this is before Ganon's coup, and the ending seems to imply that this timeline's Zelda doesn't know him yet). That's why I believe Zelda might have done something a bit more complex than sending him to a point further back in time, but there's no way to be sure. The Triforce of Courage is also visible on Link's hand during the ending, and we also know thanks to TP that the Triforce is still separated in the Child Timeline despite Link and Zelda preventing Ganon from entering the Sacred Realm this time. So maybe Zelda isn't able to change everything? It's complicated haha.
Anyway, whether OoT Zelda creates a new timeline or just sends Link further back in time, that's still huge time powers and that's not something Link is able to do by playing Zelda's Lullaby.
I also believe it is more likely that Talon inherited the ranch. True, Talon might not always have been so lazy, but maybe if that was the case the game could have hinted at hit. All we know is that he leaves his daughter alone with Ingo and only comes back after Link deals with the situation, which does not make him look so great. And he only promises to work harder after that.
I'm kind of bad with names so I'm impressed you're going through all of that trouble to rename the settlements!!
I haven't gotten to developping the technology that much yet, but I'm really interested in seeing what the different races could do with it! I love the idea of using the Sheikah to infiltrate the Yiga bases. I wish TotK had done something like that and shown the Sheikah helping Link that way.
Same, I was so excited when I heard about these pirates… and then so disappointed to find nothing more than a bunch of bokos with no backstory.
Vignoble is not related to noble (though I kind of make the association in my mind, especially since vignobles are sometimes called châteaux).
Yes I thought you could maybe use clos! Aquaticlos is funny, it can work! Though maybe you could use the same logic as for the raisins (I love this Raisins de Terre idea by the way, it makes sense!) and say that what the Zoras call a clos already refers to something that's underwater, since that's probably the case for most of what they cultivate.
I don't mind helping you with French, I'm glad to do so! You put so much effort and thought into this, it's really interesting.
