#lioness therian

Hello! We saw your "send me a theriotype and I'll draw it fat" and we were thinking if we could please suggest maybe a lioness? (Perhaps a golden-furred one?) Our host is a lioness, and we are bodily fat, and we think that would be neat to see if you ever do end up drawing it!

(We would also like to ask if the lioness could perhaps be drawn with PCOS, if that is possible, but we're unsure what drawing that would look like- we are bodily intersex and think that would be cool to be represented as well.)

I imagine lioness w/ PCOS sport a slightly scruffier chin & a patchier the average neck; longer fur growing in that can’t quite pass as a mane but works perfectly for decorating and adding a bit of personality. Longer fur around elbows & hips too- giving a special regality to a golden god

Working on a fake mock up of a fashion doll line vaguely based on Theriotypes I like + think are cool :3

So far I have ideas for....

THE CATTY GURLZ (based off a few of my favorite big cats :3)

Le'Prina Snowshoe: An elegant but shy girl. She enjoys faux fur, mini skirts, leg warmers and platform shoes. She is the second shortest. (Snow Leopard)

Liona Pride: A nuturing and loyal friend. She is very tall and muscular. She feels most herself in jeans, boots and corset tops (lioness)

Chena Sprintz: a sporty enby with a runners body. They are most comfortable in sporty/masc clothing!

Questions to know if you are a tiger or a lion

If you experience shifts, or just with intuition. Do you think you are a feline with a mane?

If you experience feelings of having hearthomes, or during shifts. Do you feel more connected to the savanah, or the jungle?

If you can't answer, then think. Do you prefer humid, sweltering heat or do you prefer dry heat and the feeling of the sun?

If you experience hunting instincts. Do you experience them during the day or the night?

If you experience hunting instincts. Do you feel like you should do it alone, or with a group?

If you experience hunting instincts, or the desire to eat prey. Which one sounds more in line with you. Gazelles, zebras, impalas, giraffes and antelopes (among others) or wild pigs, deer and buffalo, even fish, birds, apes or reptiles.

Do you feel any affinity to swimming or water?

Do you feel like you should have a pack?

Do you feel more connected to the bright orange fur with stripes or light brown fur?

Explanations and answers

After answering this questions, feel free to interpret them this way:

If you do feel a mane, you might be a lion. If you don't, you might be a tiger or a lioness

If you chose the savanah, you might be a lion, if you chose the jungle, you might be a tiger. If you chose neither, you could be either of the two but in captivity, a subspecies or a cross of both.

Humid heat refferences the jungle, while dry heat refferences the savanah.

If you experience them during the day. Then there's a huge possibility you are a lion, if you experience them during the night, you could be either of the two.

If you chose alone, then there's a huge possibility you are a tiger, if you didn't, you are most deffinitely a lion

If you chose gazelles, zebras, impalas, giraffes and antelopes (among others) then you probably are a lion. If you chose wild pigs, deer and buffalo, even fish, birds, apes or reptiles then you probably are a tiger

If yes, you could be a tiger

If yes, you're probably a lion

If orange with stripes sounds best, you're probably a tiger. If light brown, you probably are a lion.

If you're answers seem confusing this is some of the things that could be happening:

You are another feline.

You are a cross between a lion and a tiger.

You are either but kept in captivity or as a pet.

You are a subspecies of either.

You are a fantasized version of either.

Or others.

Maned Lioness and Maneless Lion pride flags

Pride flags for anyone who identifies as, or with the concept of a maned lioness or a maneless lion, for any reason, including But Not Limited To: being intersex, gender nonconforming, trans in any way (and of any gender), or alterhuman/otherkin!

The colors were picked from photos of real lions and lionesses, and are completely symmetrical to represent how there's no "wrong way" to be a maned lioness or a maneless lion. There is no gender requirement for either flag.

Other people with completely different genders to you might identify as the same one as you, and this is a good thing. Have pride in your community. There is no wrong way to be a maneless lion or maned lioness. There is no gender requirement or policing.

A tip

When questioning a theriotype on whether it's social or solitary, don't take your "like to be alone!"/"like company!" into account. It's for the human socialisation, human with human. Think of ANIMAL.

Questioning canine type? Checking wolves first? Think of related adult wolves, the same species as you question, next to you. A family pack. Is it comfortable, does it feel nice to be around wolves? If yes, then it could be a straight up hint.

If the idea of a pack sounds appealing, but being among wolves specifically doesn't click with you - look into other pack canids like African wild dogs for example: and repeat the step about feeling of being in a pack of those animals, does it feel natural to you or not.

Or you'd rather be alone like foxes do, most of the time. Another fox at sight? You're no friend, you're a competitor, an enemy, go away, it's my territory! Why you'd be comfortable near other foxes? Nah.

The main thing is that wolves, wild dogs and foxes, they are cautious around humans. So you may be an introvert and a loner in a human company, but "the life of the party" amongst your animal species. So don't look much into your human personality, let it stay in the world of human communication.
